Ristorante La Commedia in Stuttgart

If you're attending an event at the Liederhalle, you have several options for getting in the mood beforehand with some culinary delights. A very suitable restaurant is Ristorante La Commedia, which we visited. The ambiance is very pleasant, the service is really good, and the food is excellent. The pizza was delicious, and the ravioli was excellent. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

I can definitely recommend this pizzeria. The food was delicious and the service very friendly. We will definitely be back.

It's been better! We were greeted with a touch of arrogance, and jokes were made that none of us laughed at. The service itself also leaves a lot to be desired; drink orders were forgotten and simply dropped off without so much as a "sorry" the second time we asked. What I find truly amazing, though, are the prices these days! Pizza Tonno was €20!, and the meat dishes were over €30. Our pasta dishes weren't exactly cheap either; they were lukewarm, and the mushrooms weren't fresh. Fresh chanterelles weren't exactly good. Conclusion: Price/performance ratio isn't good at all; luckily, there are good alternatives.

Nice people. I went there on April 29th with my girlfriend for a drink. The waiters speak Italian. The chef/boss is a really nice person. He took some time and chatted with us. I will definitely go there again if I am in Stuttgart.

Last Friday, I had a late reservation for 8 people. The day before, I had to increase the reservation to 12 people. That evening, we ended up with 17 people. Everything was changed without a hitch, and all 17 people were served delicious food around 9:30 PM – simply a first-class service! Chapeau!

I've had better food here before a theater visit. Today, I had a pizza for the daily special. This pizza really needed a hammer and chisel. It was the worst pizza I've ever eaten. There wasn't even a knife provided. Cutting the pizza was impossible. It came with a few sliced ​​tomatoes. It was supposed to be a tomato salad, though. Many other people didn't like it either. The leftovers were considerably too much.

Integrated into the Renitenztheater. Modern atmosphere Pasta in a parmesan loaf and other delicacies. Won't be the last time.

Food service and ambience are perfect

We usually eat here when we are at the Renitenztheater, which is in the same building. The pizza and pasta dishes are very good. The meat dishes are usually too expensive for us at prices between €35-45. The service is quick, so we are always able to make a reservation 75-60 minutes before the start of the performance. What bothers me, however, is that during the theater break you can only pay with a card at the bar, which is also run by Commedia, starting at €15 - that's absolutely not up to date, hence only 3 stars instead of 4.

Unfortunately the evening was a disaster. We had bad luck with our waitress (an older, corpulent gentleman who was unfriendly the whole evening and wasn't interested in how everything fit or tasted). A glass of wine costs 9.50 and is poured below the line… Vitello tonnato was too salty, the eggplant from the starter tasteless... and then the pasta came and did the rest: Spaghetti made from a parmesan loaf with truffles for over 27 euros: watery and the truffles tasted even less than cardboard. Normally good restaurants don't offer truffle dishes if there are no good truffles - unfortunately not so in La Commedia 😒 I absolutely cannot recommend the restaurant.

La Commedia left an extremely positive impression on us. A very sophisticated ambiance, the selected dishes were excellently prepared. The service was outstanding. The host Luigi Aracri, Piero Cuna, and his team served us at the highest level and comes highly recommended!

The food was delicious, and the entire service team was very friendly and attentive. However, the manager didn't agree and repeatedly "talked down" the staff in front of the guests, which led to a bad atmosphere and is a reason for me to stop going to this restaurant. That's not how you treat your staff.

Food is very simple for the price

My girlfriend and I waited 1.5 hours for our spaghetti from the Parmesan wheel. It tasted okay, but it left me with stomach aches and nausea. We won't be returning.

Admittedly, it's not cheap, but it's worth the visit. Excellent food, very friendly service and you sit comfortably. A meal at La Commedia is a must, especially before a performance at the Renitenztheater. Simply recommended.

Everything is just right here! The restaurant is located on the edge of the city center and is easily accessible on foot. It impresses with a wonderful ambiance, outstanding Italian cuisine, and a selection of top-quality wines. The value for money is excellent. Open 24 hours.

You can relax and enjoy the meal before the performance and then go straight on to the performance. I like to reserve online via opentable.de and it works perfectly. However, a lead time of 1-2 weeks is often advisable if you prefer a specific area or area. Especially during patio season. The staff is excellently trained, friendly, quick, attentive... No matter whether they are regulars or new guests. Fresh, high-quality products - a visible kitchen where everything is relaxed and professional. Price performance fits - an experience. If there is anything to complain about, we will respond to it promptly and in a friendly, problem-free manner. There is a TV and smoking area, a lounge area with bar and the restaurant with a flowing transition, as already mentioned, into the theater foyer. Restaurant and foyer recently redecorated. Very appealing. To feel good.

Es ist ein großes Restaurant mit einer großen Glasfront. Das Licht ist abends angenehm, nicht zu grell, nicht zu dunkel. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist sehr breit gefächert, man findet sehr gute Vorspeisen, Primi Piatti, Hauptgerichte und Nachspeisen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Lage neben dem Hospitalhof lädt richtig ein ins Restaurant zu gehen, wenn man von einer Veranstaltung dort kommt, dieses Mal nach einem Vortrag mit Diskussion mit dem Soziologen Steffen Mau. Das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Very nice atmosphere, fast service, very nice. The food is also delicious, the beef tartare wasn't as I know it but was okay. It was just raw meat without any side dishes. As I said, it's a matter of taste but I know it with a little bit of garnish inside. The main courses are delicious. I have to say, the price is very high, but I think in return you have an upscale audience and a nice ambience. For a good meal you have to charge at least €70/80 per person.

Been there again after a few years - unfortunately no comparison to before. The quality of the food is top. In terms of price, however, there is also a limit to what I am willing to pay. The hard-working and competent staff are in constant use - and that's where it starts. 1-2 waiters too few for the many seats and it becomes hectic which the guest also feels. With 8 people at the table, keep clearing away the already empty glasses and plates... the plate is hardly empty. No sharp knives for the pizzas - with normal cutlery it becomes an annoying challenge to eat a pizza. Sure, if you ask in an exasperated way, the person asking the question gets better cutlery - but only that person. Something like that should be brought to the table for everyone who has ordered a pizza. It is these and similar little things or mistakes that unfortunately downgraded the visit to the level of an average Italian ristorante, a rather cheap pizzeria. That's why it's unfortunately only 3 stars. And even though the food was great, we're going somewhere else for our end-of-year dinner next year.

Good but “tourist trap” feeling. The pizza was however good and the pasta quite well made. A smoking area is available inside. Great restaurant, lots of space. I agree with the comment about the tip almost demanded at the end of the meal and the difference in treatment between regulars and new ones. Price a bit high, 8 euros per bottle of water. It is probably easy to find better Italian cuisine for less money. For tourists, I recommend looking for another restaurant!

Wir waren, zum Glück für den Besitzer, geladene Gäste am Sonntagabend. Was uns als stilles Selterswasser serviert wurde, war eine Frechheit. Die Flasche war offen und ohne Verschluß. Es war ganz sicher Leitungswasser. So schmeckte es auch. Was sicher auch die Lebenmittelüberwachung interessieren würde. Die Spaghetti Carbonara haben auch nicht das Geringste etwas mit dem Orginal zu tun. Ich kann es ihren Köchen gerne einmal zeigen.

In the foyer of the Renitenztheater. In the lower area the ground was quite cool on Saturday. Food is delicious, the salmon was grilled to perfection. Cooked and juicy, the zucchini not too soft or too hard. The tiramisu was the best I've eaten in a long time.

Very friendly, warm welcome. Nice ambience. The starter, an eggplant casserole, was fantastically delicious. Afterwards there was pasta with fresh porcini mushrooms and a tartare with fresh white truffle, both fantastic. A wonderful Verdicchio was recommended to us, perfect! The seasonal products on the memory card are very pleasing. All in all, a wonderful evening of great enjoyment.

Well, I wouldn't go here, if only because of the price-performance ratio, because in my opinion everything that isn't pizza is offered at too high a price. The actual chef was sick so should we choose a dish that has nothing to do with pizza??? Why we weren't offered one or two dishes at a correspondingly cheaper price is still a mystery to me! Suddenly a "substitute pizza maker" was there, which fortunately led to the amount of the bill being reduced significantly. I can describe the food, service and ambience as consistently good, but not the pricing.

Il ristorante è molto grande all' interno e ha diversi tavoli all' aperto. Il personale è gentile e il nostro cameriere parlava perfettamente italiano. Abbiamo preso 3 pizze : calabrese e due tonno e cipolla, poi bruschette al pomodoro. L' impasto della pizza non è male anche se è un po' alta quindi rimane un po' gommosa . I prezzi sono un po' alti

Very expensive for the quality and quantity of dishes. I'm very sorry to have to say this, but the tagliatelle with bolognese was salty and didn't really taste any better than a ready meal from the supermarket. We also had to wait a long time for our dessert even though it wasn't busy.

On the occasion of my birthday, my friend surprised me by visiting La Commedia. Unfortunately, the request for a nice table and the reference to my birthday were completely ignored. Instead, we were directed to a table outside right next to the entrance without any sign of hospitality. After we were allowed to move at our own request, we ended up in the bar area. The service was anything but attentive, we had to take action ourselves with every order. The burrata for €16.50 was on par with the one from the supermarket. The sauce on my seafood pasta had a very questionable consistency and the shrimp in the pasta were overcooked. Given the hefty price of over €20, this shouldn't happen. Unfortunately, only the dessert and our drinks convinced us. To sum it all up: Unfortunately, there's nothing wrong with this restaurant, apart from the external impression and the much better treatment of regular guests than everyone else. We won't be coming back and unfortunately we can't recommend the restaurant.

Always very tasty food, my favorite, the seafood salad, beautifully presented with always friendly service. Because of the many beautiful tables outside and the beautiful ambience of the hospital courtyard, you almost feel a bit of Italian flair!

My husband and I didn't like the table we were assigned. Since there were still several tables available, we asked if we could have another table. Answer: “Then go to another restaurant.” Shortly after us, two young ladies arrived and were allowed to choose their table. I will refrain from further comment.

The restaurant was overall disappointing. The service (would-be manager at the reception with faded "branded clothes") was miserable and unfriendly, which made the entire visit unpleasant. The food was merely mediocre - some dishes were unreasonably gross, while others had barely any flavor (pizza isn't hard to make!). Given the quality, the prices are completely excessive and unjustified. I will not recommend this restaurant.

Service is really bad. People should respond more to customer requests. Food is ok, but we haven't reinvented the wheel either. Have eaten here a few times now. Food always tastes different somehow. Probably whoever is cooking.

So if you can't refine a tuna salad or adapt it to the customer's wishes by adding cheese, ham and egg, I'll cook it at home next time. These ingredients are all there, I didn't ask for half a beef on my salad. In my opinion this is a snooty shop. PS I don't care about spelling mistakes. The food was very tasty. However, with a few small exceptions, the service was unfriendly and unprofessional. The early reservation several months in advance in the outdoor area was not taken into account because of the statement that everything outside was already full. And then the complaint was responded to rudely. Don't be their fault if the staff didn't note it. My mistake, but probably even less so. Outrageous. It's a shame because the food was very good. Still, never again.

As visitors to the Renitenztheater, we couldn't pay for two drinks in the Commedia because payment with a cell phone/card only starts at €15. Think about it. This is not customer-oriented and has nothing in common with the reality of 2024

Wanted to surprise my girlfriend with a special dinner at an Italian restaurant for her birthday. The boss succeeded completely with his menu suggestion. We had a wonderful evening. Compliments to the good cuisine and the competent staff.

Lage ist gut. Service freundlich. Die Karte ansprechend, Qualität scheint gut. Für wen 20€ für eine (kleine) Vorspeise normal ist, der hat sicher Freude.

Incredibly rude service, even by Italian standards ;-) The food was okay, upper middle class, but ultimately grossly overpriced. The reception was downright grumpy, there was probably some quarreling internally, which shouldn't have bothered us as guests with a reserved table. In the menagerie there were leftover vinegar in the olive oil and fruit flies in the balsamic vinegar. The waiter wasn't interested.

Had a delicious dinner alone the other night. Linguine alle vongole was very nice with the panna cotta. Service was good at first and died by the end of it.

The two of us in the restaurant 1x monkfish that was totally dry with a dollop of spinach for €39.50 1 x pizza, there are much better, cheaper ones in Stuttgart. Have 1/4 PIZZA wrapped.... folded in the aluminum foil..... Conclusion: poor quality at exorbitant prices, but pseudo-elitist behavior. Can you forget...

Daleko najbolji talijanski restoran u Stuttgartu. Odlična hrana, pogotovo steak na koji se uvijek vraćam kada dođem u Stuttgart. Osoblje me svaki put iznova oduševilo, veseli i uvijek nasmijani. Obožavam ovo mjesto.

Unaufmerksames Personal. Die Speisekarte und das Essen wird arrogant und selbstgefällig auf den Tisch geknallt. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist total verfehlet. Die Messer sind stumpf. Das Personal verschlimmert das ganze noch durch das Auftreten. Bei jedem Dönerimbiss um die Ecke wird man freundlicher bedient. Der gute Ruf basiert hauptsächlich auf den lokalen Politikern, etc. die hier ein und aus spazieren. Das sollte aber kein Zeichen für gute gehobene Gastronomie sein.

Great Italian restaurant with plenty of options, both in terms of classics and specialities. The bruschetta tasted great and their sourdough bread was also very nice. The black truffle parmesan pasta was also extremely tasty, although it did get a little sickly after a while. The service was a bit slow given it was a fairly light night in terms of guests. I also found the price difference between main dishes with meat and pastas / pizzas had a large disconnect that is perhaps unreasonable. Overall a great location with authentic Italian food, so would recommend.

Very bad service. He brings the wrong drink, you complain, he says just drink it, then I bring the right one, but still puts the wrong drink on the bill and argues with the guest. The drinks are good, but that's not how it works. Antisocial behavior!
