Die Pizza ist super lecker. Ist die beste Pizza, die ich bisher gegessen habe, der Teig ist einfach fantastisch. Generell das Essen ist sehr lecker, allerdings bekommen sie das Fleisch nicht wirklich hin. Wir hatten schon mehrfach den Fall, dass Medium bestellt wurde es aber sehr blutig serviert wird. Das muss definitiv geändert werden, besonders bei den Preisen. Ansonsten ist alles sehr gut. Die Chefin ist auch super sympathisch und sehr lieb. Nur unsere Servicekraft war nicht gut. Super schlecht gelaunt, hatte anscheinend keinen Bock auf ihren Job. Man musste ihr auch alles 3 mal sagen bis sie die Bestellung hinbekommen hat. Und trotzdem wurde dann teilweise das falsche serviert.

Das Essen ist köstlich, alles ist frisch. Die Chefin ist eine sehr nette Frau.

Auf Empfehlung habe ich ein Irisches Rinder Steak gegessen das war einfach lecker! Nettes Kompetentes Personal, einfach schön!

Das Essen ist superlecker und die Bedienung total freundlich. Ich kann es nur empfehlen! Ich werde auf jeden Fall meine Freunde mitbringen und wiederkommen.

Wirsing schon häufig im schönen Restaurant Gallo gewesen und es war immer vom feinsten Das Essen ist sehr lecker und das Personal nett und zuvorkommend Kleiner Wermutstropfen … wir hatten gestern das in der Speisekarte als Lammfilet ausgewiesene Gericht bestellt und anstelle dessen Lammkotelett bekommen Die waren zwar sehr lecker aber Filet ist nun mal Filet und da hätte man uns vorher drauf hinweisen können/müssen …. Aber trotzdem 5 Stetne

Schönes Ambiente, freundliches Personal. Ich hatte ein Pfeffer Rahmsteak. Es war so sehr lecker. Nur die Soße darf gern separat in den Schälchen gepackt werden. Aber das hab ich vorher nicht gesagt. Komme gern wieder Update 03/2026. Pizza sehr lecker

Wir waren gestern zu viert im Gallo. Ambiente und Service waren gut, die Pizzen auch, die Nudeln waren ok, daher nur drei Sterne. Was ich aber echt krass fande, wir haben für eine Flasche Primitivo Uno, die im Einkauf 10 Euro kostet, 48 Euro gezahlt. Ich hab mir blöderweise nicht vorher die Weinkarte geben lassen, sondern die Kellnerin hat uns die Flaschen als Auswahl gezeigt, aber 400 Prozent Marge find ich doch krass.... Wenn die Kalkulation immer so ist..... 🤔 Die Toiletten sind leider mit dem anderen Interieur nicht modernisiert worden und haben noch den Charme der 80er, daher insgesamt nur drei Sterne

Ein sehr sehr freundlicher Service mit einem hervorragenden Essen haben diesen Abend hervorgehoben. Mit dem Essen war ich rundum zufrieden. Nicht nur, dass auch Vorschläge gemacht worden sind die nicht auf der Karte standen, sondern auch die Nachfrage vom Koch zeigten das am Wohl des Gastes gelegen ist. Neu entdeckt und mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte Mal.

Unglaublich lecker und mega Service.

Das Essen ist sehr gut, das Restaurant ist etwas altmodisch, aber trotzdem gemütlich. Was mich allerdings wahnsinnig stört, ist der herablassende Umgangston mit den jüngeren Angestellten. Das gefällt mir garnicht und deshalb gehe ich demnächst lieber woanders meine Nudeln essen

Wir waren kürzlich zum 90. Geburtstag, mit 20 Pers., im Glashaus vom Gallo. Das Essen war, vom Vorspeisen- und Hauptspeisenbuffet bis zur Nachspeise, nicht nur eine Augenweide, sondern auch super lecker und für jeden Geschmack (Vegan/Vegetarisch) war etwas dabei. Die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr schön und gemütlich und die Bedienung war unheimlich aufmerksam und freundlich. Alle waren sehr begeistert. Besonders anmerken möchte ich noch die professionelle Beratung zur Zusammenstellung der Speisen. Wir konnten die Feier ganz in Ruhe mit Kaffee und Kuchen ausklingen lassen.

Wieder sehr sehr gut gegessen und getrunken. Personal super freundlich und aufmerksam.

Wir haben zur Abholung bestellt und ich hatte das Pfeffer Steak und war natürlich skeptisch, ob das nach 20 Min Fahrt in einer Pappschale noch schmeckt - ich wurde sehr überrascht! Es war das leckerste und üppigste Steak, das ich bisher gegessen habe! Sogar noch komplett rosa. Absolute Empfehlung!

Lecker! Super Bedienung! Gehobene Preisklasse. Einen Tisch sollte man Reservieren, sonst kann es sein das man kein Tisch bekommt.

Haben vor 2,5 Stunden unser Essen bestellt und hier ist nicht grade die Hölle los

Ein Stück Kindheitserinnerung ist zerbrochen. Nach Jahren mal wieder eine Pizza im Gallo gegessen. Die Pizza, die ich in Erinnerung habe und in Verbindung mit dieser Pizzeria bringe, hatte mit dieser Imbiss -Pizza nichts zu tun. Drei unterschiedliche Pizzen, alle nicht lecker und unglaublich teuer. Schade.

Leider heute eine weitere Enttäuschung im Gallo... Waren mit 8 Personen dort, es waren die ganze Zeit Fruchtfliegen auf unserem Tisch unterwegs, das Altbier war ungenießbar, der Kaviar fehlte auf der Pizza Norvegia (wurde aber normal berechnet und vorher auch keine Info darüber, dass die Pizza ohne kommt), kein Toilettenpapier auf der Toilette, nach Servietten musste man fragen, Speisen in der Karte bei der Bestellung mit niedrigeren Preisen als nachher abgerechnet wurde (war wohl eine alte Karte)... Insgesamt enttäuschend...

Mir wurde das Restaurant empfohlen und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Habe zum Glück den letzten freien Tisch an dem Abend bekommen. Meine Wahl viel auf Tagliatelle mit Krabben in Tomatensahnesosse. Es hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt und die Menge an Krabben in meinem Gericht war mega. Die Chefin ist straight im Umgang mit den Angestellten, aber auch sehr herzlich. Genau der richtige Weg. Weiter so.

Habe in diesem Restaurant Seezunge Müllerin gegessen, was auf der Speisekarte mit dem Hinweis "Tagespreis" versehen war und einem suggeriert, daß der Fisch täglich frisch eingekauft wird und je nach Gewicht preislich variiert. Bekommen habe ich TK- Ware ( ca. 200 bis 250 gr.)wo mit vielen Kräutern versucht worden ist, Geschmack zu generieren und wo der Fisch zu stark gebraten war. Das ganze Gericht einschließlich Beilagensalat und kleiner Portion Spaghetti Aglio i Olio hat 45€ gekostet. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis für diese gebratene Seezunge war nicht gerechtfertigt. Das selbe gilt für die angebotenen Hausweine, die wirklich nur im unteren Preissegment anzusiedeln sind.

Ich war jetzt zwei Mal mit Freunden bei Gallo in Gescher und bin relativ enttäuscht. Das Ambiente ist tatsächlich italienisch und insbesondere im Sommer sitzt man draußen auf der Terrasse sehr schön. Drinnen ist es schon laut und eng. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und die Chefin etwas burschikos - passt zu Gescher. Die Speisen konnten mich nicht überzeugen. Die Pizza wird wie im Imbissbetrieb in schwarzen Blechen "gekocht" und nicht etwa direkt auf dem Stein gebacken. Schmeckt wie daheim aus dem Backofen. Die Salami schmeckt billig und wird gleich mitgebacken. Die Nudeln sind ebenfalls keine Offenbarung. Das schmeckt irgendwie alles nicht nach Italien sondern eher nach Pizza und Pasta aus der Imbissbude und dafür ist es einfach zu teuer. Ich vergebe 3 Sterne. Ciao! 👋

Hier kann man wunderbar speisen und auch in gehobenem Ambiente mediterrane Gerichte verkosten. Der Kontakt zu den Inhabern ist sehr persönlich und serviceorientiert.

Location war ganz nett und das Personal war sehr bemüht aber mit italienischem Essen hat das nicht viel zu tun…eine Carbonara mit gekochtem Schinken, Sahne und sicher keinem Pecorino. Eine eher minderwertige Flasche Wein die im Internet für 12,99 EUR geschossen werden kann, wird hier für schlappe 45 EUR angeboten. Wer auf mittelmäßige Hausmannskost steht ist hier gut aufgehoben, wer aber italienisch essen möchte, sollte sich lieber was anderes suchen.

Fantastic restaurant with a warm-hearted owner! We were absolutely thrilled with our visit! The food was fantastic and a true taste experience. Also particularly noteworthy is the friendly service and the personable owner, with whom we had a wonderful and entertaining conversation. We're from Lette, and the trip was more than worth it. The Gallo restaurant in Gescher is the right place for sophisticated Italian cuisine. Everything is lovingly and tasty prepared. The service is attentive and courteous. The atmosphere is appealing and very cozy. For a moment you can leave your everyday life behind you and immerse yourself in the Italian way of life.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as promised, there were always long waiting times, the Aperol was stale (it was probably a wrong order that was left over according to the service statement). Unfortunately, the boss cannot handle constructive criticism.

The Marinara pizza was richly topped with seafood, but unfortunately the taste was compromised by too much cheese. The taste of the lasagna was ok, but clearly too runny.

We were there on a Sunday evening and spontaneously reserved a table in the afternoon. We sat in the (former) glass house and were more than positively surprised by the design... The food was super tasty (as expected) and despite it being pretty full, we waited maybe 20 minutes for our food, which was really quick! All in all a very nice evening, in a cozy atmosphere and delicious, fresh food!! Thanks to the entire Gallo team, we'll be happy to come back.

Wir bekamen ohne Reservieren einen Tisch. Die Muscheln haben sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht.

We were so satisfied that we made another reservation for the next day. Even the first greeting from the kitchen was a pleasure. The boss was in a great mood and contributed to the fun evenings. It's a shame we don't live nearby.

We had a wonderful birthday celebration at this charming Italian restaurant! The space was perfect and the ability to sit on the lovely terrace further enhanced the experience. I would particularly like to highlight the delicious pasta in salmon sauce – a real treat! The tiramisu at the end was simply heavenly. The service was attentive, friendly and made us feel completely comfortable. A big thank you for this unforgettable evening – we would love to come back!

We always go there and treat ourselves to good food and a lovely atmosphere. Now the time had come and, after 42 years of fire service activity, the strike was on. So we contacted the owner and booked the terrace with Il Gallo attached to it. Everything was discussed beforehand about how one could imagine the event. Finally, 102 guests were invited from the immediate area, from the Ruhr area, from the beautiful Münsterland and from the far away Rhineland-Palatinate. The event began at 1800 and did not end until around 0400 in the morning, as many guests had also booked rooms in the surrounding hotels. What can we say: From the first moment of the farewell party everything went perfectly. The food was great. Among other things, 23 trays of a wide variety of pizzas. The staff was always attentive and always friendly and accommodating right up to the end. Empty glasses and dishes that were no longer used were cleared away immediately. At no time did one get the impression that over 100 people were celebrating here. All we can say is that choosing this location and its staff was absolutely the right decision. This was confirmed, even days later, by the many thanks we received from the invited guests. This location will continue to be our first choice in the future. According to Ebay rating: Everything's great, great delivery, gladly again, smooth A+

I've known the Gallo restaurant for ages. As a Gescher native, I often ate there as a child. I love the vegetarian dishes, pizza and pasta. I have also recommended it to many friends who also really like the dishes. But unfortunately the service has been declining since the Corona pandemic. Every time I was there, everything came very late, as did service requests, or something was forgotten or the wrong thing was brought. I think that's a shame because I really like the food, but the service makes me think twice about whether I have enough time to eat there.

The pasta with fillet tips is not recommended at all. Pasta cooked very soft and the sauce had no taste. Most of the meat was also very sinewy. The Spaghetti Frutti di Mare, on the other hand, was delicious.

The ambience in this restaurant is rather simple. Unfortunately, despite many free places, we were not allowed to choose our desired place. In addition, the wine list was the service. She put 3 bottles of red wine on the table and we were allowed to choose. Unfortunately we didn't ask for prices beforehand. Unfortunately, a bottle of Primitivo that didn't taste good cost €40. The food (pasta) wasn't tasty either and was drowned in cream sauce and olive oil. After we asked the waitress about the wine, there was no understanding or accommodation. We were then allowed to try the ice-cold Lambrusco for two from one glass.

As an Italian, I can say that they ARE NOT ITALIANS and that they don't even know how to cook Italian dishes. For example: spaghetti carbonara with cream and ham! My goodness, carbonara is made with egg yolk and bacon!

A really nice village Italian! The cooking here is fresh and artisanal and you can taste it too! Nevertheless, the selection is very large and very varied. Friendly, quick service. I always enjoy coming here!

One should have been suspicious after the question about the bottled wine list (only the typical run-of-the-mill pizza wine selection by the glass) was answered by the waiter: "That's me." We were offered correspondingly poor wine quality. Two different 22 white wines were grossly defective and were taken back and the Lugana was not dry despite being ordered and was very tired and baroque. So spritz! The antipasti was ordinary and the fish on the fish platter, except for the trout, was fried to death. Potatoes and side salad were only tried and not eaten. Bonus: the service is friendly and always tries hard despite ignorance. Conclusion: next time pizza and beer (it looked delicious)

We were there with 6 people. The food was super tasty. The service was great, it was a bit cramped as it was busy, but if you didn't really have to get up in between then it was perfectly fine.

The food in this restaurant is absolutely delicious. The interior does not exude much coziness. The service could be a lot better. Requested the wine list several times but did not receive it. Ended up paying way too much for a bottle. Then we visited Ciao Ciao from the same family where we were received very warmly. We would have eaten better there.

It's a shame we weren't satisfied. We had expected a lot more from it for the first time. The Gescheran "surprise" meal wasn't a nice combination and wasn't priced appropriately. And my wife had a stomach ache and diarrhea 2 hours after the pizza. We won't go there anymore.

Ambiente draußen: Es ist oft nett draußen zu sitzen. Schön und sauber geht aber anders. Vielleicht nicht die Billigpizzen von Dr. Oetker, aber die meisten Tiefkühlpizzen sind besser. Der Service ist eher so wie beim Dönerladen um die Ecke.

Meiner Meinung nach war das Essen sehr schwach. Sehr lieblos gemacht & serviert, leider überhaupt nicht wie in anderen Bewertungen. Vielleicht war ja ein anderer Koch am Herd. So kann ich leider nur 2 Sterne geben, da es wirklich nicht gut war.

Essen ist unterschiedlich. Hatten auch schon Nudeln ohne Geschmack. Keller müssen Trinkgeld an Chef abgeben. Das geht garnicht

Wir sind spontan an einem Samstag Abend dagewesen, nachdem wir auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt in Velen waren. Nettes, kleines Restaurant mit guter Karte und sehr freundlichem und authentischen Personal. Gute Besserung auf dem Wege an die Kollegin mit dem verbrannten Finger 😉. Der Höhepunkt war die Pizza 🍕 (Rucola, Schinken, Parmesan und Tomaten). Lange nicht mehr so eine gute Pizza gegessen. Knuspriger, aber trotzdem luftiger Boden. Preise sind auch voll in Ordnung. Also alles in allem echt empfehlenswert.

Wurde uns empfohlen, sagen wir so: wir sind von Coesfeld und ich würde deswegen keinen Sprit mehr vergeuden, um zur Pizzeria nach Gescher zu fahren. Mich hat der Laden nicht geflashed. Wir haben wir ca. 20 Minuten auf Karte und Aufnahme Getränke gewartet, mit der Entschuldigung neue Mitarbeiter. Aber normalerweise sollten die vor Öffnung eingewiesen werden und nichts erst, wenn alles zu spät ist. Vorspeise Shrimps Cocktail war ohne Aha Effekt, entsprechend der Geschmack, lahm. Und die Pizza... eben Pizza Tonno, so schmeckt sie von Kaufland auch oder von den Coesfelder Pizzabuden. Für mich muss ich sagen, ich kenn bessere Pizzerien. Für mich mittlerer Standard und das kriege ich bei den Pizzabuden in Coesfeld auch, dafür lohnt der Weg nicht. Aber soll sich jeder selber seine Meinung bilden, das ist fairer. Vielleicht war das ja ein Black Saturday für das Gallo und auch der Koch neu

Leckeres Essen und guter Wein, freundliches Personal.

Ich bin fast wöchentlich dort, weil sowohl die Salate, als auch die Pizza und Pasta fantastisch sind. Auch über die Stadtgrenzen hinaus eine gute Wahl für italienische Küche. Service ist sehr freundlich und man fühlt sich als Gast sehr willkommen.

Ein tolles Speiselokal, mi italienischem Flair. Die beiden Inhaberinnen sind sehr freundlich, mit dem Ziel die Kunden zufrieden zu stellen.

Leckeres Essen und sehr freundliches Personal.

Wir waren zur Mittagszeit mit sechs Leuten vor Ort. Uns wurden fix die Karten gereicht und die Getränke aufgenommen. Meinem Kollegen wurde auf Nachfrage ein Gericht zubereitet, dass er aus einem anderen Lokal kennt aber nicht auf der Karte stand. Bei meinem Gericht kam es zu einer Verwechslung mit einem ähnlich benannten Gericht - kein Problem, kann passieren. Schade jedoch dass der Service dies bei der Abrechnung nicht mehr auf dem Schirm hatte und das (falsche) teurere Gericht abrechnen wollte. Trotzdem werde ich gern nochmal wieder kommen 😊😊

Karte mit reichhaltiger Auswahl. Gute und schmackhafte Speisen. Auf spezielle Wünsche wird reagiert. Wir waren schon oft mit der Familie hier und können das Restaurant empfehlen. Empfehlung ist das Rumpsteak vom Grill, dass immer auf den Punkt war. Als Feinschmecker merkt man aber dann doch, dass hier kein ITALIENER kocht. Trotzdem gutes und schmackhaftes Essen!

Kurzentschlossen auf einem Sonntagnachmittag, auf dem Rückweg aus dem Wochenendurlaub, ohne Reservierung dort eingekehrt. Es war sehr voll, uns wurde trotzdem ein Tisch „freigemacht“. Ein toller Service, alle sehr nett und das Essen super, einschließlich des Espressos. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Ok nette Bedienung- lernt noch deutsch - bringt ab und zu was falsches - aber Sympathisch
