Really good food. Great service

Good, very good address in the Unterer Oederweg area. The owner-managed family business has been reliably serving its audience well for decades and is therefore very popular. We always enjoy coming as a couple, small or larger group. The landlord and his team just have it. Good service, good cuisine, good range of drinks, good value for money. Bravo! The roast goose for Christmas is great!

I was passing through Frankfurt with family and we went to have lunch at this Trevi restaurant, very nice, fast service and good food, I don't know about the prices, I was invited, but we had a good time together. I don't have any photos, sorry.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Frankfurt. With great skill, dedication, and leadership, owner Michele Occhiuzzi has created a top-class restaurant on Oeder Weg that's always worth a visit. Excellent pasta, delicious fish and meat dishes, and not to mention the delicious desserts. A perfect zabaglione can also be prepared upon special request (when the kitchen isn't busy). Drinks pairing perfectly with the dishes, especially reasonably priced wines, are a given. Enjoy!

The food was simply A1. Really delicious! The Vitello Tonnato - WOW. Definitely try it!!! The only shame was that we had to wait forever for our starter. Guests who arrived after us received their main course before we were served our starter. We'll still come back. The food was really great.

Burrata on Tomaten Carpaccio with Trüffel, Zuppa di Pomodoro, Rigatoni Carbonara and Tiramiú are recommended. The staff is friendly, attentive and caring. The owner immediately takes care of you, makes suggestions, asks if you are happy with the food. Incredibly caring, sincere and caring. The atmosphere is very nice, hearty laughter rises inside. We've always enjoyed coming to the Fontana di Trevi, but this Saturday we were unfortunately disappointed. The service is completely stressed, jumps around the place, and isn't particularly friendly. It now feels like a rip-off. The pasta was also, unfortunately, only mediocre. Unfortunately, no longer recommended for the price, which is a shame.

The food is really great, but the wait times are now absolutely awful. This is the third time I've waited over 1.5 hours for food, without an appetizer. That's simply not acceptable; they'll have to accept fewer guests.

I went to this restaurant on my birthday and the waiters gave us a delicious dessert with shots on the house as a gift. The food also tasted very tasty and I am satisfied. Gladly again! 🙂

The restaurant is quite nice and atmospheric, the food and wine are very tasty, just a bit too big and spacious. And unfortunately that seems to be affecting the service. The reception is still friendly and attentive, but that's pretty much it. The first drink order came quite promptly, but we waited an hour for the food (mainly pasta dishes, which are declared as intermediate dishes according to the menu) and the second drink order didn't come at all, despite polite warnings. Neither was the bill, which we received - and only because of my expression of displeasure - after 30 minutes. Unfortunately with the drinks not served and a dessert not ordered. The waiter's apology also left a lot to be desired. Too bad. It's a shame for the lovely evening and the culinary enjoyment. Unfortunately, I didn't find any hospitality or good service here. Well, luckily there are other good kitchens with ambience in the city.

Definitely not recommended, waiting food for one hour … other guests who came with us at same time has already finished food and paid . We finally asked bill paid and left..

The server was very unfriendly and we waited for an hour for our food. When the other tables who ordered together finished their meals, our table wasn't even served food. In the end, I only paid for water and left without waiting for more food. Don't go. It's not recommended... I don't even know if the server has placed an order for the table he's serving, so how can he greet customers at this price?;;

Die Gerichte gut bemessen, schmackhaft [2x Fisch]. Die Tomatensuppe als Vorspeise...Sehr gut. Die Bedienung freundlich und aufmerksam. Empfehlung! 1 Punkt Abzug für Menge, Größe und Zustand der Toiletten. Sind für das Ambiente nicht passend. Leider.

The Fontana di Trevi restaurant in Frankfurt is certainly one of the best-known Italian restaurants in the Nordend. The wide-ranging menu offers exactly the food you would expect from a good Italian restaurant, namely pasta dishes, pizza, meat and fish dishes. The almost familiar atmosphere is not least thanks to the boss of the house, Michele. The restaurant is usually very busy. The guests appreciate the good, authentic food, without making a fuss about it.

We wait for one hour to our food until we get tiered and go back to our hotel with out eating at all. I will not recommend to any one to come to this restaurant!!!!

My husband and I went to Frankfurt because we might be considering moving to Frankfurt permanently. I found the restaurant in advance and reserved a table for two people. Food was ok, you can't complain because tastes are different. The staff was very nice but you could see the stress on their backs and notice it. We weren't asked what kind of bottle of water we wanted, a bottle of sparkling water was simply placed on the table. Which wasn't a bad thing, but we only ever drink still water. But what was absolutely shocking to me was the table selection we were given. You almost have to imagine that we were sitting at a two table with a distance of about 10cm to the next table on the right and left. We couldn't have a conversation because there was shouting on the right and left so that we couldn't understand each other. The noise in the store was unbearable and I was happy when we left the store.

As always, super tasty - Tonight my favorite was the seafood salad, monkfish with saffron sauce, tartufo and a small bottle of Lugana

One of the rarest places where I can heartily give 5 stars. From reception to farewell, the service was very attentive and friendly. You immediately feel welcome. The ambience gives a real Italian vibe and the restaurant is not too crowded. There are also comfortable seats outside for little ones between breaks. The restaurant also offers many gestures and the food is very delicious. We will eat here more often. It's not a place for snacks or quick meals, you also spend a lot of time here with high quality food. Such places are to be treasured. Here again a thank you to the waiters who served us.

Restaurant looks great with good ambiance. However, we were met with a less friendly waiter, and felt like we were not very welcome from the moment we ordered only main dishes and drinks. Contrary to expectations, the food was quite bland, was really missing the flavour. For the price will not come back here.

Back on site for a long time. There are some changes. New plates, a (smoking) lounge outside. The boss Michele is there and greets all the guests and serves them. A very tasty 3-course lunch menu, vegetable cream soup, pardelle with seafood and a profiterole with pistachio filling. A good, good year to the whole team. We'd love to come back.

Did not like the customer service of the restaurant AT ALL. ** Please educate your staff to behave politely. ** I went to the restaurant at around 22.25 and asked them if they were still serving. They let us in, showed the table and handed over the menus. After 2 minutes they came to take the order. We were not ready yet but the person stood there and forced us to order. Now I am vegetarian and I ordered the only vegetarian option i could see at the moment along with two drinks and since my friend wasn't happy with the service, he decided that he didn't want anything. The person took the order and started saying rude words. The whole time that we were eating he was just giving disgusted looks to us. We still didn't say anything. But I feel terrible that my friend, who visited me for the first time, had to hear all that. With all due respect, they should not let people in, when they can't serve properly. It's not difficult to just say that we're closing. Chao! Also, I think a customer can order whatever they like and howmuchever they want. As a service provider you should be polite.!! Please be Humans!!!!

I rarely rate 5 stars all over but this restaurant deserves it! If you are in Frankfurt and its Italian cuisine - I doubt it gets better than this. The ambiance is not a posh place, and that's exactly what I like. The focus here is the quality of the food and a fantastic wine menu. No stupid QR code here, but a real menu in a book and wine with pictures. I ordered a filet with gorgonzola sauce and veggies. It was just perfect all over. Taste, preparation, temperature, texture....the whole lot. I really have no complaints. This is how a fantastic restaurant should be with focus on food. Highly recommended from my side.

Für einen gelungenen Abend mit 9 Personen, war es wirklich zu wenig. Service und Küche waren überfordert. Die Antipastiplatte war lieblos dahin geklotzt. Kein Gewürz, kein Olivenöl, 1 Scheibe Vitello, für 2 Personen und obendrein noch sehr teuer verkauft. Der Hauptgang kam um 22.30 Uhr , wir Gäste waren um 20 Uhr am Tisch. Es stand beim Eintreffen schmutziges Geschirr auf dem Tisch. Ein ewiges Thema sind die Toiletten, die für ein Lokal dieser Art nicht angemessen sind und dringend einer Renovierung bedürfen.

Good Italian in Frankfurt. I used to eat lunch here often when I worked in the area. I was there again on Saturday with my family and everything was fine. Friendly and fast service, menu with a good selection and Italian classics. The sole was very good.

Bad restaurant Ordered two plates of noodles and waited for 90 minutes and was reminded twice before they were served. The noodles were not as expected! Very disappointed! A store I will never come to again!

A piece of Italy in the middle of the city! I absolutely loved the Fontane di Trevi restaurant! The atmosphere is incredibly warm and immediately reminds you of a vacation in Italy. The dishes are authentic, fresh and prepared with a lot of love - the pasta and antipasti in particular were a dream. The staff was very attentive and friendly, and I felt completely comfortable. If you love real Italian cuisine, this is the right place for you. I will definitely come back!

Overall the restaurant is very good, food was prepared well and tasty, good selection of wines, service is nice, the place was almost full but even with that , you do not feel it noisy. In our case we had a pasta and grilled salmon with a carpaccio as an entry all came good. I definitely will come back in the future.

Yesterday I was with friends at the Fortuna de Trevi restaurant in Frankfurt and unfortunately I have to say that our visit was very disappointing. We all ordered vegetarian spaghetti, but to our horror we found meat in one plate. The whole thing was put into perspective as if such mistakes were normal in the kitchen - in my opinion that shouldn't happen. There wasn't even an apology, which I found extremely unprofessional. Despite these serious deficiencies, we had to pay the bill even though 70% of our food remained untouched. Based on this experience, I absolutely cannot recommend the restaurant. There are definitely better alternatives in Frankfurt!

I cannot praise the restaurant enough. My girlfriend and I have been going here for over 10 years now and this review is more than overdue. The food is exceptionally good and absolutely on a par with Italian cuisine in Italy itself. Don Michele and his crew make every evening a special experience. The boss himself and his employees always show that they live their job! The homemade pasta is always a special highlight. The sauces couldn't be creamier. The service is very good and courteous. The prices are already at the upper limit for an Italian restaurant but that doesn't detract at all. We enjoy our stay every time and will always come back and drive the 50km to our favorite Italian restaurant. Absolute recommendation and 5 stars from the bottom of my heart!

I was here for lunch during the week and the restaurant was quite busy. This also meant that I was actually only served when I asked, had to wait over an hour for my pasta (which is amazing given the small menu) and was not apologized for. Unfortunately, the food was only mediocre - so I'd rather go back to Papanova around the corner. Too bad

After being seated, we 4 ordered wine and our meals, and after 45 minutes, there is still no food, no checking if we need anything , wine bottle were empty and no water. They got upset when we asked how much longer and requested our food to go. The food was good but not worth returning because of lousy service.

The restaurant can serve many guests outside because an additional parking lot has been converted into an outdoor area where the owner/tenant also parks his car and you can admire it. The ambience there is rather mediocre, although they made an effort with tablecloths and some greenery. The positive thing is that you can bring dogs with you and they have enough space. Isn't the view from this garage exterior romantic of a block of flats with an ugly, rusty flue? at the back of the building, which probably dates from the Plaster War. The terrace area facing the street is certainly better for sitting. The service is extremely efficient but impersonal and gives short commands to the customers. The food (truffle pasta) was disappointing, the pasta with fillet tips was quite good. Overall, including drinks, it was too expensive for this quality, although the dishes were well portioned. Unfortunately, the truffle pasta (21 EUR) was tasteless and carelessly prepared. It's better to go to a nicer Italian restaurant with an atmosphere and friendly service, maybe it's better otherwise and due to the number of customers - and maybe there was a replacement chef at work - just mediocre that evening. A pity!

We were celebrating a birthday and I have to say that I have never experienced such disrespect. We (all from the North and Westend, around 30yo) have all been there many times and we knew that it would take a little longer, but the food was actually good. We had reserved a table outside, but neither got a table outside nor a table at all. After we finally got a table, inside and so terribly hot (we asked to turn on the air conditioning but were told it was too cold (many of the guests had their sweat dripping onto the table), the aperitif arrived about an hour, and several drinks were missing (we had only ordered Aperol, so it wasn't particularly complicated), which only arrived after another hour, even after repeated requests, and there was no nice apology. The other bottles of wine took so long Waiting that we had to ask about 12-16 times, after the first bottle wasn't even enough for all the guests, the second one (ordered directly) wasn't even opened, so some guests went away empty-handed. Our table neighbors were able to lend us a bottle opener, so that We were able to open at least one bottle. Unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to have more wine to order because no one else came to our table. The main course came At 10:58 p.m., we know this for sure because we were there at 7:30 p.m. and were really looking forward to the food. We were “put off”, i.e. they told us that the food would come, but at some point we were alone in the restaurant. When asked, the waiter said that guests are used to waiting so long for the pasta. I said that the pasta was really fantastic as we had all been here several times, but that this wasn't normal as all the other guests had left, even the guests who had arrived 2 hours after us...unfortunately the food couldn't not outweigh. The mood got bad, we ordered more wine and water, nothing came. The other guests (a table was also waiting) agreed with us, at least they had already eaten something. As a “goodwill gesture” we were offered dessert (which we weren’t particularly interested in at almost midnight). I asked if they could offer us a bottle of wine on the house AND dessert...That wouldn't be possible. It was embarrasing. It no longer had anything to do with “Italian hospitality”. At the end of the evening they said (without apology) that they would do better next time and we decided that we would no longer go to this neighborhood Italian. It's a real shame, but not the first time, but unfortunately once too much and once too disrespectful.

It's a nice restaurant but the waiting times are really long. We had to wait over an hour for our main course and it wasn't even really good.

Went there today and despite having a reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes for the table, which wasn't actually a bad thing... but we waited over an hour for the starter and over 2 hours for the main course! The table behind us (4 people) and next to us (2 people) arrived later but finished eating before us! They apologized for the long wait, but that's what it is A total no-go! Only after we politely pointed out that everyone who came later had received their food was we asked again what we had ordered and then we were told that it would only take 5 minutes... even after that we had to wait another 15 minutes Wait because our order was simply forgotten (as was the starter for two and an alcoholic drink)! Therefore not recommended!

We've been going to the Fontana for 20 years - now they've finally lost us as customers - it's simply not true anymore - the kitchen/service is totally overwhelmed due to the tables being raised in the garage area - like others, we waited 2 hours for the food - the Prices have risen enormously and the ratio to e.g. pasta out of the packaging at 20 euros and more is no longer compatible - soups not homemade - salads quickly quickly - binding agents in the sauces - over-seasoned but not with herbs - probably the owner's son wants it get the absolute maximum out of it and don't understand that by doing so you're simply disappointing the customers who have always been so happy to come / you feel like you've been taken for a ride - it's a shame - it's your decision! Sorry, we are in the Nordend and not at the Opernplatz...

Erstmalig in diesem Restaurant aufgrund der guten Bewertungen gewesen. Die kann ich allerdings nicht bestätigen. Positiv Sehr angenehm die Parkplätze im Hinterhof. Der Service war freundlich und zuverlässig. Das Vitelo tonnato war gut Abwertung Die Tortellini frutti die Mare waren eine Katastrophe. Die Pasta völlig verkocht.Von al dente weit entfernt. Die Sauce mit dem Meeresfrüchten war - warum auch immer-mehlig gebunden. Das überlagerte den Geschmack der Zutaten. Alles kam in einer Art Nudelbrei. Ein solches Gericht wird üblicherweise mit Olivenöl,Knoblauch,Peperoni,Tomaten und frischen Kräutern zubereitet.Evtl.Staudensellerie. Alles nur kurz mit der Pasta mischen Und nicht lange zusammen garen. Die Spaghetti mit Trüffel waren von meinen Begleitern auch nicht sehr gut empfunden. Hier hätte man frischen Parmesan erwartet.

Ein paar Jahre zurück hatten wir hier mehrmals sehr gute Fischgerichte und herrlichen Service genossen. Deshalb war die Erwartung heute hoch und die Enttäuschung groß. Wir mussten kurz auf einen freien Tisch warten, der uns dann mit verschmutzter Tischdecke überlassen wurde. Der vom Wirt bei der Begrüßung und zur Verkürzung der Wartezeit angekündigte Seco kam nicht. Servietten mussten wir erfragen. Ein Getränk kam erst nach der Erinnerung. Der "Burrata auf Tomaten Carpaccio mit frischem schwarzem Trüffel aus dem Piemont" lag nicht auf einem Carpaccio sondern auf Scheiben geschmackfreier Großmarkttomaten; nicht einmal der Strunkansatz war weggeschnitten. Auch bei den "Rigatoni Carbonara all‘Italiana" war einiges nicht in Ordnung. Das Ei war mit viel zu wenig Parmesan verrührt, die Sauce deshalb sehr flüssig und definitiv nicht allÍtaliana. Der Guanciale war grobmotorisch in viel zu große Brocken gehackt, hatte kaum Hitzekontak und war ungenießbar. Für Wirte: wenn Gerichte nicht schmeckten und/oder in der Küche wie auch immer verunglückt sind, möchte der jetzt zu recht mißtrauisch gewordene Gast keinen Grappa, keinen Espresso und kein Dessert als Kompensation. Er möchte gar nichts aus der Quelle, die ihm gerade Appetit und Stimmung verdorben hat. Was immer hilft, wenn der Anbieter nicht wie angeboten liefert ist ein Nachlass, eine Nichtberechnung der mangelhaften Lieferung. Möglicher Weise kommt der enttäuschte Gast dann wieder. In meinem Fall ist es anders.

A few years ago we enjoyed very good fish dishes and wonderful service here several times. That's why expectations were high today and disappointment was great. We had to wait briefly for a free table, which was then given to us with a dirty tablecloth. The Seco announced by the host when greeting us and to shorten the waiting time did not come. We had to ask for napkins. A drink only came after the reminder. The "Burrata on tomato carpaccio with fresh black truffle from Piedmont" was not on a carpaccio but on slices of tasteless wholesale market tomatoes; not even the stalk had been cut away. There were also some things wrong with the “Rigatoni Carbonara all’Italiana”. The egg was mixed with far too little Parmesan, so the sauce was very runny and definitely not allÍtaliana. The guanciale had been chopped into chunks that were far too large using gross motor skills, had hardly any contact with heat and was inedible. For innkeepers: if dishes didn't taste good and/or had an accident in the kitchen, the guest, who has now become rightly suspicious, doesn't want grappa, espresso or dessert as compensation. He doesn't want anything from the source that just spoiled his appetite and mood. What always helps if the provider does not deliver as offered is a discount, a non-calculation of the defective delivery. The disappointed guest may then come back. In my case it is different.

Were at a sporting event in Frankfurt. We picked out a well-rated Italian restaurant and were super surprised. The food was awesome. Everything fresh and homemade. The service was as courteous and nice as I have rarely seen. Price/performance was great and we are guaranteed to make a reservation again as soon as we are back in Frankfurt.

You feel welcome here and can experience Italian hospitality. The food tastes wonderful. The service attentive. The price level is higher, but still at an appropriate level considering the services.

Highly recommended, Italian friendliness, great service and very good food. Inexpensive lunch menu with starter, main course and dessert. But the prices are also reasonable otherwise.

I've been coming here for almost 20 years and have never been disappointed. Michele makes you feel comfortable. There used to be pizza, which I think is a bit of a shame because it was also delicious. The homemade pasta is a hit. There is parking space at the back of the yard.

Dolce vita in Frankfurt! Excellent, traditional Italian cuisine, very attentive and charming service and a lovely ambience, especially on the terrace in summer, make this restaurant one of my absolute favorites. The tagliolini with truffle are simply delicious, the tiramisu is a dream. Lovers of meat and fish dishes are also in good hands here. The chef really knows what he's doing!

The atmosphere and food are all good!! Truffle pasta is 22 euros and the oil is the best.. I even ate the bread at the end. The wine is good too!

We actually enjoy going to this restaurant, including family celebrations. So this time I was even more disappointed with my food and the handling. The asparagus was absolutely bland in taste and, to make matters worse, it was also very badly peeled. When I pointed this out when clearing away (the woody shells were visible on the plate) I only received a terse answer... well, next time... HELLO, what kind of answer is that??? No apologies, nothing! This can also scare away guests.

A wonderful experience to the taste buds

One of the best Italian restaurants in Frankfurt. Highly recommend tiramisu, Chardonnay and Spaghetti with seafood. Good atmosphere and staff and reasonable prices.
