Every visit is always great and very tasty

The portion size of the pasta was ridiculous. The salmon was only crumbled, and there was a maximum of one asparagus stalk, which was chopped into small pieces. The vegetable pizza was topped with carrots and celery. Cost-cutting measures? And not exactly great from a culinary perspective. The pasta in a Parmesan loaf didn't taste even remotely like Parmesan. The service was slow, or rather, you were barely noticed. It felt like it was more about getting a lot of people through quickly. I've experienced things differently, and I was truly very disappointed.

We waited 90 minutes for the food and only when we asked were they told the kitchen would wait another 15 minutes. No apology for forgetting us. The food that arrived was almost cold and not seasoned. One order was wrong and I asked to clarify that it hadn't been ordered that way. I was then told that it was correct. The waiter was rude as if it were our own fault. A lot of money for a bad meal, long wait and rude service. Unfortunately that was the last time. And that's why only 1 star.

We hosted an event with almost 60 guests in the restaurant. We had a detailed discussion about the buffet selection beforehand. We were well advised and the buffet was excellent. The buffet was never empty and was constantly replenished. The ambience is also very appealing. It has its own beautiful charm for Italy/Sicily. Always happy to be there as a guest. There was also plenty of on-site parking for guests. We always enjoy coming to Restaurant da Rosario.

Unfortunately, we are not willing to give more stars as today was a real disappointment. The staff were partly, and I mean that only partly, unfriendly. We and the children asked for something to drink and after 20 minutes we also ordered food after asking. The bread and butter on the house, which we asked for again, arrived at the same time as the first main course. The salad was unfortunately very plain, the chicken was still too raw, and the other salad is also not really recommendable. My pizza was finally brought out after everyone had already finished eating, after I asked three times. I really can't say anything bad about it. The pizza was delicious. That's why it's not giving it any stars ⭐️... after we said that a few things weren't right, the answer we got was that things are just awful today and it's very busy. Things like that just happen. Yes, that may be true, and it's human, but the quality of the food shouldn't suffer as a result, and the sometimes irritating attitudes need to be addressed. The last waiter at the end was very attentive and apologized for everything and brought us dessert. That was great. Thank you very much for that. But unfortunately, you need to work on it... There's a lot of potential, though...

Unfortunately a complete disappointment. Location is nice, unfortunately the outside area is completely neglected. I wanted to reserve a table by the water, they basically said reservations only inside as you never know what the weather will be like, but you could then go outside. We arrive, the outside area is pretty full, half of the tables there have already been reserved. But we would have booked inside. 🤔 There was a free table by the water for us a little ways away. We waited a good hour for the food. There was quite a lot going on and there was quite a large company inside. Unfortunately the grilled (I think that's a rumor) fish was still raw, the lemon cream was more like thickened (lemon) water. In addition, any fish, including the salad, was probably rolled in flour. You can do it. Ok, the grilled fish went back and was also deducted from the bill. Otherwise, no serious apology. Too bad! You could really do something with it...

Unfortunately disappointing - we won't be coming back We've been to Ristorante Da Rosario many times and the food has always been really tasty - that's why we were really looking forward to our visit yesterday. But what we had to experience was an absolute disappointment, especially from the owner himself. We had reserved a table for 9 people in advance. On site we noticed that a large birthday party with a music system was taking place in the open hall. At first we didn't think anything of it, but the music became increasingly louder so that normal conversation at our table was hardly possible. At our request, the owner initially turned down the music a little - but only for a short time. When the volume increased again, he intervened again, but seemed to have little interest in permanently solving the problem. When the party started ordering large quantities of spirits, the music was no longer an issue for him - sales suddenly seemed more important than the well-being of the other guests. I politely asked him to come outside with me to calmly discuss the situation. However, the reaction was hard to beat in terms of arrogance: he just said, “that’s just the way it is today” and that he didn’t want it to be that loud – but “what can you do?” He responded indifferently to my comment that one had to choose between a closed society or normal restaurant operations. When I asked if it was just about money, he answered in the affirmative with complete seriousness. The whole thing reached its climax when shortly afterwards he started dancing right in front of our table and demonstratively joined the party - while we tried to enjoy a normal dinner. It's a shame - the food was good as always, but the owner's behavior was disrespectful to his long-time guests. It was definitely the last visit for us.

We spent a really nice evening here with friends and had a delicious meal. I'd love to come back.

Beautifully located with a large terrace and a view of the lake. Service was very friendly and both drinks and food were brought to the table quickly. Starter including bread and antipasti included. The pizzas are big and fill you up! The ambience could be modernized a bit, but definitely recommended.

A typical Italian restaurant that is very familiar. The ambience is typically Italian and has a lot of charm. The family-run restaurant offers varied dishes. The quality is very good, but the price is okay. In summer the terrace by the lake can be used and creates a holiday feeling. Overall, we really enjoy going there and are always warmly welcomed. It's worth it!

When the weather is nice, it's a good place for lunch on the beautiful terrace right on the water with a view over Lake Barbara. Lasagna and spagetti frutti di mare were both very tasty and the portions were more than sufficient. Service friendly, everything was fine.

I've been to the restaurant several times and unfortunately the quality is always different and unfortunately often rather poor. But today was the worst so far. I had a pizza con salsiccia, i.e. with Italian sausage. The sausage was cut quite thickly and not completely cooked through, as it apparently only cooks on the pizza and is not fried beforehand or something similar. At other pizzerias, this sausage is often thin and has a lot of flavor. Well, it's not that bad. That was simply my mistake for ordering this pizza and just imagining something completely different. It's not the restaurant's fault. The problem with the pizza was that there was way too much cheese on the pizza, sometimes up to an inch of cheese. That's really way too much, the pizza basically only consists of pure fat and on top of that there was a lot of oil or fat in some places. You could soak the entire edge of the pizza with it. Maybe some people like it, but I found it way too much. My pizza with the Italian sausage was the most expensive on the menu at €14.50 and that would have been absolutely justified if the sausage was at least something special like Nduja Calabrese. But it wasn't at all, the whole thing probably only cost so much because of what felt like a kilo of cheese. My companion had ordered a pizza with spinach and frozen spinach was put on the pizza, which is completely understandable and comprehensible. Most pizzerias probably do that, but the spinach wasn't distributed and was still in the ball-like shape that spinach is when it comes out of the freezer. The spinach could have at least been spread out a little and the whole thing would have been a little more loving. After we both didn't eat everything, we had the pizza packed up. The waitress asked if everything was good and I replied that the pizza had way too much cheese. The waitress completely ignored this and then simply cleared it away. Why do you even ask if everything was good? After all, she had absolutely no interest in whether everything was good or not. All in all it felt a bit bland and like you were just being processed quickly, but there wasn't much going on at all around 5pm. Unfortunately, the quality of food and service at Da Rosario always fluctuates and you never know what you're getting yourself into. For us today was probably the last time. It's a shame because the location is really nice and we would be willing to pay the price for good pizzas and good service, but unfortunately neither was available. I very rarely write bad reviews because I rarely have anything to complain about, but unfortunately I do today.

The pizza was very tasty, but I had a mozzarella pizza and there were only cold, unmelted pieces of mozzarella on the pizza. This could have been better!

Very inconspicuous from the street. Once you're on the terrace, you have a wonderful view of the regatta course. I was very surprised by the food, very good quality. Salad with various grilled fresh fish, delicious. The pizza you would expect from a real Italian restaurant. The price-performance ratio is also right here. The service is really nice here. That wasn't my last visit. PS: Dogs are also welcome and were given a bowl of water straight away, great 👍

Insider tip for everyone from Duisburg and Mülheim! Located on a side arm of the regatta course, you can also sit outside very nicely and quietly. Here you can feel the flair and love for food of the owner family. Everything is always delicious - whether it's a starter, pizza or pasta. Highly recommended!

Nice restaurant with a view of the lake. Food was above average. There were 5 of us and we were all happy with the food. Fillet steak with Gorgonzola was top. Recommended. Only the service at the start was a bit messy... but over time things got better... positive, despite the hectic pace, everyone in the service was very nice and accommodating. Will definitely go there more often. AGAIN RECOMMENDED.

Visited the restaurant for the first time today...and definitely not again...unfortunately! Location by the lake was fantastic, weather was good, atmosphere was good....but something was immediately noticeable...totally unmotivated staff...that was a shame! Then our pasta dishes came...my dish without the specially ordered pepperoni, the chicken in my husband's order was completely tasteless, 2 pieces of mushrooms were found in the sauce...both sauces were tasteless...our mood changed...we wanted a second drink..the waiter was a master at overlooking...then we finally managed to place an order...in addition to swapping the drinks.. (and waiting again for the correct order) we wanted to pay and had to Terrace into the restaurant... at the end there was one more drink on the bill... the note didn't improve the owner's mood and we went home with a heavy stomach and still hungry... because we couldn't finish, because it absolutely didn't taste good......unfortunately, unfortunately...we're really sorry to only be able to rate it negatively, the place is positive...it's a shame!

The staff is very friendly and helpful, although short. It was very crowded where we were, so I suspect that was the reason. The portions are a good size, but I personally use too much cream. Otherwise the taste is very good! They have a large selection and a very tasty daily menu! Even though it was very busy (all tables were occupied), I was never disturbed or made to feel uncomfortable. The location right on the lake is brilliant! All in all a good restaurant!

But.....the farfalle with spinach, salmon and crabs in tomato sauce was an absolute disaster..Salmon was hard to find, spinach stalks!!!!l slimy, I just couldn't find the taste of the tomato sauce. After three forkfuls I had the food I then got a new portion that tasted just as disgusting. The meal then didn't have to be paid for and I got a cocktail for free. But that can't be the solution when you go out to eat

With a slightly larger community, we also found places with a good atmosphere and attentive staff. Our pizza was good too.

Ristorante Da Rosario is a nice place to meet up with friends for a delicious dinner in a nice atmosphere. The terrace with a view of Lake Barbara is something special, especially when the weather is right and the sun is setting. The dishes we ordered were delicious and prepared quickly. The service was very nice and entertaining and answered our questions in a friendly manner. I can happily recommend this Italian restaurant.

It was our first visit to Da Rosario. We weren't disappointed. Luckily we had reserved seats on the terrace. A great view of the lake. Unfortunately, not all guests can sit in the front row by the water. However, our seats in the back area turned out to be the right place as it rained during the evening and we didn't have to move indoors. We visited the restaurant with six people. Despite the large number of guests, the order was taken quickly and the drinks were on the table in front of us after a short time. Everyone had chosen a different dish and everyone was thrilled with the quality of the food and the portion size. Good quality ingredients come at a price. We found the prices to be reasonable. There was: Mixed salad plate with various fried fish Risotto with shrimps and cherry tomatoes Spaghetti carbonara Spaghetti Tonno Maccheroni Siziliana with eggplant Tagliatelle Tatjana with shrimps, prawns, rocket and fresh tomatoes Also the dessert: Semifreddo Tiramisu and Cassata We enjoyed it deliciously. We would like to expressly emphasize the friendliness, warmth and attentiveness of the staff. We'd love to come back.

If you can't stand the heat, you have no place in the kitchen. There is an old saying. But from the beginning. We sat on the terrace with a beautiful view over the lake. It was warm and the restaurant terrace was busy. I ordered a pizza and my companion a pasta dish. A little later she was served her food, but not to me. The waiter then explained that there was a lot to do in the kitchen, so my pizza would take a while to arrive. My wife's plate became increasingly empty. After fifteen minutes I spoke to one of the waitresses. Shortly afterwards she came back with the words that my food had been “forgotten”. When we asked for the bill, they wanted us to pay in the restaurant ourselves. Why remains a mystery to me to this day. Maybe to avoid making this faux pas more public. I honestly do not know. Unfortunately I can't say anything positive or negative about the food. Because I simply didn't get anything. Conclusion; As a guest, I expect service, no excuses and certainly not to be forgotten.

We were a group of well over 10 people. Everyone was happy with the food. Only my pizza was forgotten and then quickly delivered. That's probably why she wasn't that great, but that's an individual fate... Maybe the pasta is better than the pizza... In any case, everything was so good that I'll probably try it out. Had dinner there for the first time today. The selection of dishes was completely sufficient. We ordered Linguine Marcel - with prawns and truffles. There was also a good Primitivo. The noodles were really Al Dente and tasted A+. No question, we would love to come back!

We have been there on Saturday again. The seafood is always the best, fresh and very delicious. Tip is to order from the weekly menu, these are always the best dishes. The pizza is always good and tastes awesome.

We have been coming since 2021, Da Rosario is an absolute tip for good Italian food, especially the daily specials with fish are highly recommended. The pizza is the best in the south of Duisburg. The view of the lake is always a highlight but the inside is also very nice, professional and yet familiar.

First of all, the positive: starters were delicious, the service staff were very friendly and hard-working and the location is of course pretty. Now to the negative things: They didn't ask how the steaks should be fried, they were too bloody and tough and dry in other places (you have to do that first), the vegetables were just cooked and not even seasoned. The Spaghetti Frutti di Mare were decorated with sugar sprinkles(???) and the pizzas were brought too early (with the starters) and then just put back in the oven and covered with additional toppings (the bottom topping was baked the second time). burned.) Kindly, part of the price was deducted when paying, but that should be the case since not even 70% of the food could be eaten. We won't eat there again because the chef reacted very unprofessionally to the criticism and just said that we had no idea and how great the meat they offer is (maybe so, it should just be well prepared.
