Ristorante Castello in Kamp-Lintfort

The price/performance ratio is absolutely not right. The taste is also absolutely not worth mentioning. The overpriced pasta doesn't even come with rolls with herb butter like everywhere else. And the extra garlic I paid for wasn't included either. The pizza dough was inedible. I'll never order again.

Well-made pizza, for me currently the best in Kamp-Lintfort.

Great service, a slight language barrier, as I'm Dutch and speak very little German, but that wasn't a problem. The food was plentiful and excellent, we really enjoyed it! Highly recommended for Italian cuisine lovers.

We ordered lasagne 3 times and fries all for delivery. I have to say that it tastes very good on site but when ordered the fries were completely soft and the lasagne tasted more like horse porridge. Ordered 3 times and each one was bad.

I had a very disappointing experience with my order. The staff was extremely rude, and the food didn't match the posted photos at all. Furthermore, I was delivered a completely different order than the one I had placed. Unfortunately, the food was so bad that not even my dog would eat it. Please take this complaint seriously and make the necessary improvements.

The service was very friendly and attentive! We were asked several times if everything was okay. The restaurant was also beautifully decorated, and the food was delicious. I would definitely come back 👍🏼👌🏽

The lasagna with beef fillet pieces was delicious, but the 4-season penne pasta was made with too much cream. The salad was fresh, but there was no option to simply order it with olive oil and perhaps balsamic vinegar. The service seemed a bit stressed, but the overall atmosphere seemed calm.

We waited over an hour for our food. The service was terrible. We were constantly put off, while pizzas were delivered. I wouldn't go here again.

There was hair in the food, and we had to wait an hour for two portions of pasta that tasted like nothing. I really can't recommend it 👎🏻

The restaurant is family run and provides excellent service, the pasta is so delicious that I could only try one pizza 🙃, Every time I visit Kamp Lintfort, my daughter and I always stop by and have dinner, I also recommend trying the Primitivo red wine and the ginger relax tee! 🥰

We spontaneously visited the Castello restaurant and were immediately impressed. The service was very friendly and attentive. Children are welcome here and treated with respect. The menu offers a good selection. We enjoyed the food very much, and everything was beautifully presented. We will definitely be back.

It was fine once. Over the course of months, it got progressively worse. Then the low point: The delivery was supposed to arrive in 45 minutes, but it took two hours and 15 minutes. Before that, the restaurant was already unpleasant: You weren't greeted when you walked in, and the waitress didn't even ask if you wanted a drink. Maybe Castello is just for a different clientele now...

I haven't had such bad food in a long time. Pasta tastes horrible, chicken is pressed, sauce is inedible. Salad is swimming in sauce, and everything is just mush. NEVER EAT FROM THERE AGAIN!!!

We got pizza and pizza rolls there for the first time today. The pizza was very well topped and tasted really great. I think you can't go wrong with pizza rolls. All in all, very good price-performance ratio. Ordered by phone, everything was fine, nice and friendly staff. We will come more often.

Came across this restaurant through the Schlemmerblock. What luck! Finally had a pizza with really delicious pizza dough. This dough used to be normal, but today at most other pizza restaurants you get a dough that, in our opinion, doesn't deserve the name pizza dough. We can only recommend the Castello. The pizza is top and generously topped. A culinary delight for us. The operation and service were also very good. We'll be back!!!

We went for a walk in the Friedrich Heinrich Zechenpark and because we were hungry, we ended up in the Pizzeria Castello and were completely thrilled. Delicious food, great service and a great selection of wines 👌💯

Rather inconspicuous from the outside, but really cozy inside, almost like a slightly more expensive restaurant, I would say. Everything was clean, tidy and nicely decorated. It was our first time here and the pasta was extremely tasty, although I personally would have liked larger prawns for the spaghetti gamberetti dish instead of the very small ones. The pizza rolls with homemade herb butter were also a highlight – perfect for two! The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back! :)

The food is really very good. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting and the employees are incredibly friendly. Especially older people or people with disabilities are treated very friendly and courteously here. You put in a lot of effort.

We came here through our voucher book. The food was really good. I deducted one star from the service because they served vinegar dressing on my salad instead of cocktail dressing. And one thing to complain about is the really small portion of grilled vegetables. So I didn't get full (see pictures) That's why only 4 stars overall. The pizza, however, was great.

Yes, some dishes (pizza rolls) are priced a little higher. But the quantity and quality fit 100% There's nothing to complain about here. You can eat really tasty food here..... Thanks for that!!! Very good, still relatively new Italian restaurant with great staff. Highlight - the Cannelloni Carne are not filled with minced meat but strips of beef steak, which is not only unusual but also extremely tasty. Maybe the best I've ever eaten.

Price performance was ok when it works. Waited more than 30 minutes for the food. Getting the wrong food. Hair in the food was replaced immediately. Ambiance: one side is great and the other side is more so-so. Sitting at the counter, the place was assigned. The view on the counter was catastrophic.

So I'm not a person who criticizes unnecessarily, nor am I a person who wishes harm on others. But with the best will in the world, I can't understand why this pizzeria can give such a rating. Either the recessions were bought for good money or humanity has no demands at all for food and its quality. I was hungry and wanted pizza, since I hadn't tried the pizzeria before, I thought they deserved a chance too. Now that I have ordered a pizza there and only consumed a small amount, I have realized that this pizzeria is ranked number one among the worst pizzarias in Kamp-Lintfort. The chicken tasted like I imagine rotten meat and the vegetables, a la corn and broccoli, were certainly from the freezer, which was frozen in 2022. I couldn't taste any garlic, nor was there any noticeable spiciness. I have no idea whether the pizza maker normally works there as a waiter or as a dishwasher, but he definitely has nothing to do with preparing a pizza. That was the first and last time I got something to eat in this pizzeria. A 5-minute Knorr cup tastes better, is cheaper and less frustrating. With this in mind, everyone who wants to order there, just think about it. You can either burn the money or spend it somewhere else or invest in ready-made pizza. Never again, by God!

An Italian restaurant with typical dishes. I was there twice and was served normally the first time. On my second visit, I almost felt like a member of the family; the owner himself greeted me and showed me a table. Both times I had a large pizza and a drink. Everything was right here, the size and the taste. The pizza base was well baked, but not too dry. The topping was also well sized for both orders. On the spicy pizza, the onions were cut a little too big for my taste, but ok. The glasses were visibly clean and the food came quite quickly (max. 20 minutes). I would eat there again at any time.

I ordered carpaccio, which came with rocket, fresh lemon and plenty of parmesan. When I say plenty I actually mean “too much”. It was really well-intentioned, but the umami taste is only fun if it's not omnipresent. The quality of the meat seemed okay, delivery was as planned and after I put a lot of parmesan on the side, it tasted good.👍🏻 My tip: Reduce the parmesan and/or add it separately, let the beef be the main star in a beef carpaccio. Otherwise great.👍🏻

Unfortunately it was a complete disappointment. The ambience is not nice, the furnishings are missing a lot, it is more reminiscent of a train station hall. The food was really bad. Spaghetti Bolognese - the pasta completely overcooked, sauce with little good taste, with a lot of not so good. There's no organization in the store; no one seems to really know what to do. Too bad.

The pizza was very tasty, large and well topped. The delivery service's utilization is very high, so there was a longer waiting time in the restaurant. But it speaks more for the location.

Service disaster. The simplest order (1 small Margharita, 1 small Tonno) was messed up twice and then made you wait forever. Also cheeky tone and all in all just incompetent. It's a shame, we won't order again. Pizza wasn't particularly tasty either

The Castello restaurant in Kamp-Lintfort is centrally located in the city center and is very easy to reach. The service is extremely friendly. The pizza is incredibly tasty and the price-performance ratio is absolutely right here. An all-round successful visit – this restaurant is definitely recommended!

Unfortunately, we should have relied on the reviews. The service is just🤮 It's one thing if you're handed out a wine list and the waitress doesn't know any difference between dry and semi-dry wines. But when you complain about the warm white wine and you get the statement "it's warm in the kitchen too" it stops. On top of everything, you also get the wrong invoice. The only consolation was that the pizza was OK. With service like this you can manage to run a store like this. Once and never again.

We were there for dinner with several people 4 weeks ago. Even though we were “only” there with the voucher book, we received excellent service. We have rarely met such nice staff. Everyone was more than happy with their pizzas. Very tasty and very big.

The organization in the store is really not right. The orders are sometimes taken incorrectly, you really have to wait for the waiters to come to the table, or rather, you have to go and let them know. The girls there are also very unfriendly, their facial expressions and the way they bring the orders to the table or even take them is very listless and arrogant. They gossip about the customers in a different language, which isn't possible because you never know who understands everything. I, for example, understood that they were talking about me. Something really should be done about it. Otherwise the shop is really great, I would like to give it 5 stars because I really like the boss and the others are actually very friendly and the food tastes great too. But like I said, the organization and the waiters there (more like the two girls who work there) really need to work on it or something needs to be done about it.

The pizza here is usually quite good and properly topped. However, the delivery service can sometimes take two hours, which is why we were there this time. Unfortunately, our visit yesterday was very unfortunate. Out of 4 people, 2 initially got the wrong drink. No problem, it can happen. After that, no one came to our table for half an hour and then only when we asked. After ordering, we only got 3 of 4 pizzas because two orders were mixed together and a Hawaiian pizza and a broccoli pizza then became a Hawaiian pizza with broccoli. Unfortunately, when the real pizzas arrived, I found a relatively large and, above all, sharp piece of plastic in them! Nevertheless, I was supposed to pay for the pizza and there was no other form of compensation. The pizza was even €2 more expensive than stated on the menu. Unfortunately I won't be going here anymore.

Arrived with 6 people and were initially well served. Price/performance is good. Food was very tasty. The ambience was also good. However the service... Apparently a new employee who has forgotten a lot. Had to ask a lot and only brought drinks and food once and then didn't come back to us for new drinks. After repeated inquiries it didn't get any better. Some customers were angry because food didn't come or the wrong thing was brought and no order was taken. We would have liked to have stayed seated and eaten dessert and had something to drink on site. Unfortunately this was not possible. Therefore pay and go somewhere else. It's a shame about the service.

Came across this Italian restaurant today by chance. Despite the coincidence, we are of the opinion that nothing better could have happened to us that evening. Great and friendly welcome, friendly service and advice... and the food far exceeded our expectations. We were thrilled by the salad with mushrooms and chicken breast, as well as the selected pasta with 4 types of cheese. Definitely recommended and we will definitely go again.
