Retro Diner 274 in Niefern-Öschelbronn

It was apparently a former burger restaurant. Now it's a Turkish restaurant with burgers. The burgers tasted like old lamb, not great. There were no sauces for the finger food... The service was nice and friendly, but I probably won't be back.

We actually wanted to eat at a buffet somewhere else today, but since it's a holiday, it was extremely crowded, so we had to find an alternative. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. We chose a free table that was still dirty, even though the place was practically deserted. We ordered a monster burger and got a monster burger. A monstrously dry, ground beef patty with absolutely no seasoning. It tasted like ground beef without anything. No/barely any sauce on the burger. The cheese on the burger wasn't great either. So for someone who's really hungry, it'll definitely be fine, but for gourmets who know what quality is, it's nothing. The fries were standard. We would have been better off at the neighbor across the street with the big golden M, I'm so sorry to say.

The doner meat was truly a disgrace, and it must be said that the smash burger doesn't live up to its name at all. The pizza crust was good, though, but that was it. Quite overpriced for this quality.

A doner kebab plate. The salad was fresh but dry because there was no dressing on it. The doner meat was a chicken skewer. That's not the product either. I also ordered a large water bottle and received a glass of water like the one in the photo. I won't be returning; the price was OK.

Unfriendly staff, plastic remnants in the Yufka, no drinks like water or Fanta available. The food didn't taste good at all—unfortunately, completely disappointing.

We had imagined something different: an American diner on the outside and a kebab man inside...fills you up, the price is okay, and the taste is much better...service and cleanliness 👍🏻

- The restaurant makes a well-kept, clean impression. - The service was almost perfect; you really don't need anything more. The only point I deducted was that no one asked if I liked it or if there was anything missing. - About the food: The Caesar salad didn't have Caesar dressing. The chicken was plentiful and well-fried on top. The steak burger and fries were actually tasty, but, like the salad, they lacked enough burger sauce. This affected both the meat and the salt so much that the food almost stuck in my throat. Therefore, one point deducted. Without my drink, it would have been impossible to eat the food. In terms of both taste and appearance, it clearly stood out from fast-food restaurants. In my opinion, to visit the restaurant more often, it would need a better salad with a tasty salad dressing and a better burger sauce. So, it's only 4 out of 5 stars.

Ok, the food was good, but it is not an American diner. It looks like an American diner, but It's a doner kebab shop, all Turkish food ( which i love but this was weird stting in an American diner booth eating turkish), they really need to update the decor. Maybe they just rented it as is, but it's an odd place.

I had dinner there today with my colleague and I have to say it's good value for money. Would love to come back.

I really can't understand who goes to MC D... when you can get such great food next door and even cheaper.

So, if you can handle the smell of toilets in a restaurant, you can definitely eat here. However, the smell took away our appetite. In a restaurant like this, which from the outside looks like an American diner, but then you get Turkish food and Turkish music inside, you might be a bit disappointed. Our visit was therefore a short one. Therefore, I can't give any points for the food or service.

Ate a delicious Adana kebab. Taste: A-1 Service: A-1 Would go again.

Everything we tried was delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, which made our stay even more pleasant. We can particularly recommend the soup of the day and the Adana kebab. A real treat! The tripe soup and flatbread are simply irresistible! We are already looking forward to our next visit.

And I would drive over with my girlfriend tomorrow, July 28th, 2024 because we wanted to see something new, but now I don't know if you're open tomorrow. because now you are temporarily closed. The food was good, with still some potential for improvement. The fries were good and something different with herbs. Luckily the vegan burger didn't have a meat substitute on it, but rather a vegetable patty. It fit well and tasted good.

It was freezing cold 🥶 that day. Same inside too. We ate in jackets. No heating in there. Facilities otherwise, yes, typical. We found the burgers 🍔 super tasty, and the meat was also very good. The fries were good too. Otherwise there was no own burger sauce, just the store bought ones. For the price, borderline. We're not going there anymore. It was too expensive for all of this.

Long waiting time for the food, everything is overpriced, burger has no taste, meat is dry, fries bought from Netto next door. Just bad

Very tasty, nice staff, I went here with my girlfriend shortly before it was over and now she is happy again because it tasted good. 100% recommended, for the money of a McMenu you get really tasty burgers with fries + drink.

The food was very good and the staff friendly. The appearance was not really what we expected. Some essential points of an American Diner were missing such as; no American (old) music, little decoration. Nice restaurant, good food, not really an American Diner.

Great place. In the entrance area we had to snake our way past a “black tea regulars’ table”. If you want a beer you have to go without it. Food was good and sufficiently portioned

The food: I ordered steak with rocket, parmesan and grilled vegetables. I got that too, but with a good portion of fried frozen wild potatoes. There was very little grilled vegetables - expensive vegetables were clearly exchanged for cheap frozen stuff. That's not what was on the menu! The meat was very over-seasoned. I could taste the cheap meat under the very spicy marinade. For a price of 25 euros, I imagined better quality meat. We won't eat here again. Too bad. By the way, I said this criticism directly on site. There were friendly smiles - but I didn't have the impression that the criticism was seen as an opportunity. Ambiance: Great effort to make everything American design. However, bright, white light and hall flair. It was also cold. Luckily we sat under a kind of fan heater that kept blowing out heat.

I can't understand all the positive reviews. The food is soooo bad! And I'm actually not that picky when it comes to food, first of all I waited over 40 minutes for a burger, the fries are from Rewe's own brand from next door and the minced meat on offer is from the net, nothing seasoned, tastes like nothing. The other positive reviews are fake.

The food is not edible! Don't go there people! The boss doesn't accept criticism! The staff walked through the restaurant completely disoriented, waiting time for a burger was over 1 hour. Meat dry, ingredients the cheapest of the cheapest. Simply no. Disgusting. When it comes to paying, the boss is having trouble accounting, it's just embarrassing and the boss is wearing Nike Air shoes that are so dirty haha ​​really disgusting.

Food is top. I eat/order regularly and am never disappointed. The smashburger and steakburger are my top favorites. Absolutely reasonable waiting times for food. Service is nice and very attentive. Ambience great. You really can't complain about that. The name says it all here, because the restaurant is a real eye-catcher with its retro furnishings. Typically retro American. There is also a play area for children. What more could you want? A shop like this right across from a McDonald's is bold but stands out with its mega delicious castles

We've been wanting to try it all along, but were skeptical because of the reviews. It was good overall. Everyone was very friendly, it was very clean and we only waited about 15 minutes. Fries were great, portions were large. Reasonably priced. But my meat was very dry in the middle. We found it uncomfortable because it was just too bright. It was like sitting in a hall. Dimming the lights and privacy protection strips on the large window front would be good. You sit on the presentation plate.

DINER doesn't quite fit. It has hardly anything in common with an American diner. Starting with the music. Food wasn't that good.

Cool atmosphere, delicious burgers and friendly service. There is also a lunch menu, which I can only recommend. But also great for dinner with family/friends! There is even a large play area for children.

Food is nothing special. We had citizens with fries. But price-performance is out of this world. Absolutely too expensive in my opinion. We won't be coming back.

Went for the first time today. The store itself looks nice and the service was really nice too. But unfortunately the food wasn't that great. The onion rings were good and the fries were tasty too. They were well seasoned. The burger, however, was very dry. Despite the fact that we put extra sauce on it, the meat and the bun were just too dry. The highlight was the De. Pepper Cola and the fries. Unfortunately no card payment possible!

We were traveling, we were hungry too and wanted to eat there. But my wife could not be convinced by any court. Since it wasn't clear whether the diner had good or popular cuisine, we left again. My son wants to go with me again as a father-son trip - then we'll try the steaks. The employees are very nice and friendly. The ambience is a bit too pure and modern. But it is very clean and tidy. I think the idea is great - I wish you much success.

Cocoa tastes bad, way too overpriced, 6 mozzarella sticks cost €8.50. Price performance unacceptable not worth a visit.

Not quite worth the money. It was OK, but nothing more. The worst thing was it was so cold that all the guests sat there with jackets on. Actually you should have left there again. Stupid white, we didn't do that. Since the reviews were so positive, we thought we'd stay. What we cannot understand is that there are so many.

Very good value for money, with excellent homemade hamburgers. Welcoming and warm staff with satisfactory cleanliness and very well served dishes. I recommend.

Ich verstehe nicht, warum Leute schlechte Bewertungen abgeben. Ich war in einem Jahr zweimal dort und beide Male war es echt super! Die Pommes und Burger sind groß (und schmecken gut). Leute freundlich. Sie arbeiten sonntags. Ich bin nicht jemand, wer oft Burger und Pommes isst. Aber wenn ich mir sage: „Äh, wie würde ich jetzt gerne einen Burger essen!!“ gehe ich da!

Alles wie immer. Die Bedienung war neu, aber sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Burger waren wieder super lecker und die Pommes schön kross. 👍🙂

Die Location könnte noch etwas gemütlicher eingerichtet werden. Der Burger war lecker, auch wenn das Patty nicht medium war. Pommes waren auch lecker. Pluspunkt war auf jeden Fall, dass verschiedene Soßen wie Ketchup auf den Tisch gestellt wurden. Bekommt man inzwischen nicht mehr in jedem Burgerrestaurant. Negativ war die lange Wartezeit auf unsere zwei Burger (über 30 Minuten).

Das Essen war lecker und die Einrichtung ist echt toll, ein paar Kleinigkeiten fehlen mir noch zur Perfektion und zwar: Ein MUSS wäre die passende Musik zum Stil! Das war schade und das Flair leidet darunter. Schön wäre für die Authentizität: - Kaffee aus den klassischen Glaskannen - Wo ist die Jukebox hin? - Angestellte mit dem passenden Dresscode

Nettes Ambiente und freundliche Bedienung. Essen sieht gut aus. Pommes waren für mich interessant und lecker. Der Burger ist sättigend, jedoch hat das Geschmackserlebnis gefehlt. Bei dem Preis gibt's andernorts meistens auch noch einen Coleslaw-Salat dazu. Bei meinen Kindern (9 & 10 Jahre) hat der Chesseburger und die gewürzten Pommes leider nur zu enttäuschten Gesichtern geführt.

Das Essen war wirlkich gut, der Service ist allerdings ausbaufähig: 1 Essen wurde komplett vergessen, leere Getränke fallen dem Personal leider auch nicht auf. Die Räumlichkeit an sich ist 10/10, leider hört das Motto bei der Musik auf. Das macht einiges kaputt und wäre verbesserungswürdig.

Haben es heute mal geschafft zu testen. Location super und vor allem sauber. Bedienung super freundlich. GF sehr sympathisch. Verwirrend war nach dem Essen das fehlende Stück Papier des Speisetellers aber hier wurde und mitgeteilt es handelt sich um essbaren Papiere 👍🏻 aber hier schaut man bereits nach einer Lösung. Preis - Leistung ist absolut ok. Kurz um kann man nur sagen - ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Wer Burger liebt und das Ambiente mag ist hier super aufgehoben.

Essen war lecker und super. Vielleicht wäre ein Hinweis nicht schlecht das es zum Bürger-Menü nur Besteck auf Nachfrage gibt. Der Parkplatz war für mich eindeutig zu erkennen. Der Kinderspielbereich könnte besser sein. Essen und Ambiente waren super. Meine Familie hat hier einen schönen Abend verbracht.

Das viele zum grossen M gehen verstehe ich nicht. Hier wird man satt und freundlich bedient . Immer wieder gern.

Das Ambiente ist total schön und alles ist sehr detailreich eingerichtet. Der Service war super, sehr nett und zuvorkommend und das Essen hat wirklich gut geschmeckt! Die Pommes sind extra gewürzt mit Kräutern und sowohl die Fleischpatties als auch die vegane Variante sind sehr gut abgeschmeckt und waren auf den Punkt. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen, es ist so toll hergerichtet!
