Restaurant/Biergarten Vogelnest in Ubstadt-Weiher

There's a signboard that says "anchovies with side dishes and salad" for €14.80. They don't ask what side dishes you'd like, and you're simply served the dish with fries. The food was good, though. When paying, they charge €16.80 "because that's what the menu says." For me, however, what's on the board, as a special offer, takes precedence. I find this incomprehensible, annoying, and completely unacceptable. I don't want to go there again.

Today at 7 p.m., I visited the pleasant beer garden with my family. We received a very friendly welcome. A big compliment to the young, black-haired waitress! She was extremely polite and made us feel very welcome. Not only the food, but also the friendly service would be a reason for me to return.

Excellent food and ambiance. -1 for the long wait. I can definitely recommend it! If you have the time.

Unfortunately, the beer, at €5.30, is too expensive for a local beer and generally too expensive. A little less here would ultimately encourage more sales and generate more profit. It's a shame.

We waited 30 minutes for someone to come and take our order. Another 30 minutes for drinks to arrive. When we asked for two glasses, the answer was, "Sorry, we ordered a bottle of water." The meal took 1.5 hours. We were there last time, and we didn't want to leave a tip. The manager kept it, which was sad.

The outdoor area is somewhat uninspired and unimaginatively designed. The food and service are okay, as long as the staffing levels are adequate.

The food tastes excellent, and the portions aren't too big or too small. The staff is super friendly and polite, even when the place is busy! The only thing that would be nice is a playground/sandbox or something similar for children. There's a large play area for that. I'd love to come back!!! It's worth it!

We were there on a Sunday evening with two families and four children. Two tables that arrived later were served first, our children waited 30 minutes for their drinks, and the adults' drinks were uncooled and not fresh. After more than two hours, six of the eight dishes we ordered arrived incorrectly, and the side dishes were incomplete and poorly prepared—the "salad" consisted of only a few leftovers. After almost three hours, we were told that the cash register was closed and card payments were not accepted. Instead of an apology, they simply cited a lack of staff. This is unfortunately unacceptable.

The Gaststätte zum Vogelnest is highly recommended – good food and a lovely beer garden. There are always a few visual details that could be improved (especially in the interior), but most importantly: the food is good and the service is very courteous, uncomplicated, and attentive. We always enjoy going there! 🥰

Great service, and the food is also very good. The wait is sometimes very long, though. But the team tries to compensate with good humor. We always enjoy coming back.

We visited the Vogelnest for the first time. The restaurant has a very nice beer garden, and the interior is also nice and newly decorated. The dishes are okay, but nothing special. My chips, for example, were inedible because they were soaked with grease. The French fries were surprisingly good. A tip for the bar staff: These days, Hefeweizen is the beer of choice. Why isn't this one on draft? Too bad. They should change that.

We (four people) were very satisfied with the food and service. Super friendly. Always attentive. The calamari and anchovies were excellent. Highly recommended.

I had to wait an hour for my order. The rump steak skewer was shoe sole. The feta cheese was inedible. My complaint was not taken into account when calculating the bill.

We visited the Vogelnest for the first time today, but we'd love to come back. Everything was perfect. Cozy beer garden, great service, delicious food, and reasonable prices. A highlight is the "special liqueur" after dinner!

We were here tonight for dinner on the new terrace. We ordered grilled pepperoni for starters, and turkey and beef skewers for main courses. The side salads were subpar, as if the leftovers had been scraped together and drowned in some kind of Maggi dressing. Very bad! The grilled pepperoni had unfortunately only been heated in the microwave and definitely not grilled. Then it came with a strange white sauce, and all of that without fresh herbs or garlic. So not recommended! The beef was dry, the turkey was okay. Unfortunately, neither came on the skewer but rather peeled off the skewers and onto the plates. So, the meat was unfortunately cold. You won't find any fresh herbs, salt, or fresh pepper here. There was an excessive amount of herb butter on the meat, which it tasted like. Unfortunately, there were no fresh raw onions or garlic with the meal. All in all, I have to say that the staff was nice, but the chef missed his calling.

A connection and delicious food are guaranteed. A cozy and friendly restaurant, Greek food, and delicious coffee!

We reserved a table for four. It was our first time at the restaurant... I have to say we were pleasantly surprised 👍 Very good Greek food... The atmosphere was also very nice!! Highly recommended!💯 We'll be back!!

Comfortable and beautifully located

Inconspicuous from the outside, chic and clean on the inside. Nice welcome and very friendly service. Apparently also animal-friendly, we were greeted nicely by the dog :) (lay well in his place). Maybe we'll see each other again on our next vacation.

Very good food, but drinks were ordered after 20 minutes and only after asking for a waitress to come (but there were 3 behind the counter). Food arrived 45 minutes later after ordering. All in all 2.45am.

We had dinner with 9 people at the end of January and everyone was really excited, the food was very tasty and the service was great. We will come again. It's nice that we have such a great restaurant in the village.

The bird's nest under new ownership... In contrast to before, the new bird's nest can make up for a significant increase in ambience. Unfortunately the service wasn't good. Despite not being very busy, it took 15 minutes for drinks to arrive and 25 minutes to wait for the bill. The team doesn't seem to be well-coordinated. In my opinion the prices are too high for the location. 4 meatballs weighing 150 grams with a side dish 16 euros and a beer 4.40 euros... The taste of the food is ok, but good eaters should plan at least one starter and dessert...

Very good food and the service is very friendly and accommodating. Vegetarians can use salad if they don't want meat. When I go to a Greek restaurant, I know what they have there. So you veggies think about it.

Today I was here in the newly renovated bird's nest There was a small standard menu with typical Greek dishes and a selection of daily specials Unfortunately, as a vegetarian, I had my typical Greek problem: Most of them don't have a vegetarian main (you should reconsider these days) I ordered sheep cheese with fries Both were delicious At the end I got a Baileys The service was top, friendly and very personable I would like to come back

Well-kept, modern atmosphere, friendly people in service, the boss takes personal care of every guest. Freshly prepared, tasty Greek cuisine, prices reasonable. Alpirsbacher Klosterbräu beers, for me that is also something fine and rather rare in North Baden.😀🤩👍

Unfortunately there is not a single vegetarian main course. Vegetarian starters only. I don't understand it these days. The starters tasted ok. The old cook did a better job with the fries. These were the best fries around here. Just let it fry long enough.

Instead of a Jägerschnitzel, I ordered a normal breaded schnitzel. There was also a normal schnitzel with gravy. The gravy was then charged an additional 3.50 on the bill! Once and never again!

It turned out very nice after the renovation, there is still enough to do in the outdoor area, delicious schnitzel, steak and minced meat florets, good salad 🥗😋

Unfortunately everything is occupied. Try our luck another day. Updating the homepage with a phone number would be great. New pictures after the renovation were also beneficial.

The Vogelnest restaurant in Stettfeld at the gateway to Kraichgau has undergone an impressive transformation following renovation work and has been bright, spacious and attractively furnished. The new restaurant operator offers delicious Greek cuisine, some of which is cooked on a charcoal grill. The beer garden is currently under renovation, but is expected to be ready in time for the summer. Overall, the Vogelnest restaurant leaves a positive impression, not only because of the culinary offerings, but also because of the successful overall package of service and ambience. Definitely a recommendation for lovers of Greek cuisine.

Freshly rebuilt with a new landlord. You can't fault wonderful Greek food. Large portions, low price and very tasty. A real insider tip...

Die Sauberkeit der Tische und die Ausstattung war jetzt eher Semi-gut. Das Essen wiederum war super. Auch total Gastfreundlich und ein absolut netter Herr der uns bediente.

Etwas hin- und hergerissen. Die Atmosphäre, die freundlichen Betreiber etc. sind sehr schön. Leider waren die Speisen qualitativ mittleres Niveau für das Geld. Die Portionen waren ausreichend und üppig.

War hier essen. Sehr gut grosse Auswahl und außerdem wird man sehr gut satt.

Gutes Essen zu einem guten Preis. Wir waren schon öfter hier. Netter Besitzer (wenn man seine Art kennt ;) ) Für Kinder gibt es einen kleinen angrenzenden Spielplatz.

Absolut Super !!! Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter und super Essen. Sehr große Portionen. Gyros mit Pommes und Salat. Dazu noch etwas Schokoladenpudding als Nachtisch kostenlos. Als Abschluss gab es einen Quzo dazu. Sehr preiswert und alles hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Super Gasthaus, daher volle Sternenzahl. E - Bike Lademöglichkeit gibt es auch.

Nette Bedienung, gutes Essen. Hauptsächlich griechische Gerichte. Große Terrasse als "Biergarten".

Das Essen war super frisch und lecker. Wir konnten im Biergarten draußen direkt neben den vögeln sitzen, das Ambiente war total gemütlich und schön. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und aufmerksam. Und das preis-leistungsverhältnis top. Die Idee mit den Vogelvolieren am Restaurant ist wirklich wunderbar!

Ein schönes gemütliches Restaurant sehr freundliche Bedienung und eine super Atmosphäre das Rumpsteak war der absolute Hammer immer wieder gern 🙂

Nettes Restaurant am Rande von Stettfeld direkt am Katzbach. Wenn man Schnitzel liebt ist man hier richtig. Ausserdem gibt es einen grossen Biergarten wobei die Hälfte überdacht ist für Kinder gibt es einen Spielplatz und in den Vogelkäfigen sind einige Tolle Vögel Zuhause. Für den E-Rad Fahrer gibt es eine Ladestation. Und für die Autofahrer einen Parkplatz.

Man kann gut essen. Man kann b.schoenem We tter draussen sitzen. Viel Platz u. Gemuetlich. Deutsches Essen u. Griechisch.

Hier wird griechisches Essen serviert. Das Essen kommt in riesen großen Mengen. Wer Hunger hat ist also bestens versorgt. Die Qualität des Essens war okay. Die Pommes waren leider bei meinem letzten Besuch nicht sehr knusprig und schmeckten ranzig, hatte schon bessere. Der Gastgeber/Inhaber ist sehr freundlich. Nach dem Essen bekommt man einen Ouzo aufs Haus. Dieser war nach dem reichhaltigen, fettigen Essen auch nötig gewesen.

Sehr zu empfehlen. Guter Service, gutes Essen. Biergarten mit Spielplatz. Perfekt für Familien.
