Excellent brunch buffet with game dishes in autumn.

We were there for the first time today as part of a Christmas party with colleagues and can honestly say that both the buffet and the service were truly excellent. The type, quality, and variety of the buffet were among the top three I've ever experienced. Anyone who can't find something they like there either doesn't want to find anything or is just complaining! Even if one or two dishes aren't to your taste, there's so much variety that there's something for everyone. The service was also fantastic! Always approachable and available without being intrusive. Simply excellent.

We were a group of seven for the goose venison buffet on November 15, 2025. Our seats were reserved in the conservatory, and we didn't feel cramped at all. The servers were quick, attentive, and always had a smile on their faces. The buffet offered a huge selection of appetizers, main courses, and desserts, and the food was constantly being replenished. It was a very enjoyable evening for us, and we would gladly repeat it.

We've eaten there several times. Delicious food and friendly service. We'll be back.

Unfortunately, disappointing. The roast duck and goose breast were completely dry, the gravy was far too salty, and the red cabbage was overly clove-y. We didn't enjoy it at all. The main focus is on the buffet, and you're neglected if you haven't booked it. The restaurant was also quite humid and warm. The plates were nicely presented, and the dessert was delicious. We spent about €50 per person. For that price, the food was simply too poor. Making a reservation was also difficult. The website says to leave a message on the answering machine, but it wasn't switched on; only a recording was playing, and no one answered. It took me two days to finally reach someone. Poor customer service.

I've been back for a long time and left feeling so full and satisfied. There's something for everyone, and at €33.50, the price is high but reasonable. Many thanks to the entire team!

We had a good meal and were seated near the entrance, allowing the staff to be more efficient. We ate à la carte, but we'll try the buffet next time. Our conclusion: If you enjoy good meat, you can't go wrong at Tanneneck 👍

Simply delicious! I absolutely loved the wild boar buffet. The meat was wonderfully tender and flavorful, and the selection of side dishes and appetizers was enormous and lovingly prepared. You can immediately tell that the food here is cooked with passion. I'll definitely be back!

We visited Haus Tanneneck for the first time with friends who had already been there a few times. We were there for the wild boar event. We don't usually write reviews, but everything here was just perfect. There was grilled wild boar and various variations. I was particularly fond of the wild boar with jam... But everything was excellently presented and you could add a huge number of side dishes of your choice. There was also a very extensive salad and dessert buffet. Everything was available in good quantities, and if something ran out, it was immediately replenished, so everything was always fresh. Unfortunately, we couldn't try everything; it was simply too extensive. But it's not over yet; we'll be back, no question. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The only thing that needs to be improved is the decor to dampen the acoustics a bit when the room is full. It was delicious and pleasant. They served brunch and lunch. You didn't have to order; you could help yourself to something from the buffet at any time. There was a large terrace and a small playground for the kids.

The breakfast/lunch buffet is absolutely INSANE, definitely recommended!

It was fantastic! What's special about the buffet is that they offer popcorn (which the kids loved), slushies, and even wild boar. I also loved that they don't skimp on the strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, or salmon, unlike most buffets. The staff were a bit busy, but otherwise, we were completely satisfied!

The restaurant has a new outdoor playground, making it ideal for children. Unfortunately, not all of the escape routes have been closed yet, and parents can't yet completely relax and let their little ones run around freely, but it's a work in progress.

💍 In May, we celebrated our children's wedding here with around 50 people. It was a thoroughly successful celebration. The professional team at Tanneneck deserves a huge compliment. The food was outstanding, from the appetizer buffet to the hot main courses and the dessert buffet. Thank you for the creative advice on selecting the dishes (see photos). The guests were all thrilled with the food. The venue was also perfect for our celebration, and the service was first-class. CONCLUSION: If you're planning a larger celebration soon, this is the place to be.

My wife and I have been there for brunch several times. There's no better place for brunch than Haus Tanneneck. The selection is huge and incredibly delicious, and the staff are very friendly and attentive.

We've been here twice for brunch; it was a bit crowded at peak times, but there was a huge selection and very tasty food.

We went to Haus Tanneneck for the wedding dinner. Everything was totally consistent. From the food to the service to the ambience, everything was perfect. One of the best restaurants in Hagen. Absolutely recommended.

Without reservation, everything is good. We put together a delicious 3-course menu here and it was really tasty. The service is exemplary. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Unfortunately it was disappointing: both “sword mustard soup” were too salty and so was the “herb mustard sauce” from the fried pike-perch fillet, and the fish itself was quite dry. The “goulash soup” thickened so much that it was more goulash than soup. The “beef roulade” was tender, but heavily seasoned with rosemary and dill, and the sauce from the “Rhenish Sauerbraten” was unfortunately also dominated by dill. Only the grill plate was good, as long as you like the fries dark yellow. Credit cards are not accepted, EC payments are only possible from €50. The price is high, the taste is rather mediocre.

The buffet is great. Various starters, many different desserts and the main buffet with various types of meat, potatoes, spaetzle, grilled vegetables and lots of other things is very tasty. The service is very friendly and there is also enough parking space. Even without a buffet you can eat very well in the Tanneneck, duck, goose or venison (of course some dishes are only seasonal), everything is great. The price per person for the buffet is €27.50, children half price. I think it's a really good price. What's annoying is the endless 30 zone when you come from Eilpe.

We were there on a Sunday evening for the buffet. Large selection of delicious meals and desserts. The restaurant was very busy.

We were invited there for brunch or lunch buffet for our 70th birthday. From 11am there is a breakfast buffet with something for every taste. Lunch buffet from 1 p.m. also has something to suit your taste. Unfortunately, this restaurant with its buffet is probably an insider tip among totally greedy and poorly socialized pensioners over 70. They behave like in UdoJürgen's "But please with cream".

Food very tasty. Service (I think it was the boss herself) was super friendly. Restaurant nicely decorated. Own farm shop with jam, honey, liver sausage, eggs... The only drawback that evening was that it was unfortunately very cold in the restaurant.

We went to Tanneneck for brunch today. We were really amazed by the great selection and everything was really delicious! The star deduction applies to your card payment rules: Only over €50 and no VISA, I pay for everything with Apple Pay, where my Visa is stored. Here I can pay for my rolls at any bakery, but at your restaurant I was lost. You have to improve that! Card payment is a must and should not be subject to any restrictions.

Great food, nice staff, drinks could come quicker, but at some point you no longer notice.

We were there for the Christmas buffet. The service is very attentive and friendly. The buffet has a very large selection and everything tastes solid and good.

Wunderschönes Ambiente. Man wurde lieb begrüßt der Tisch war schön gedeckt. Als Aufmerksamkeit des Hauses gab es Brot und leckere Tomaten Butter. Das Salat Buffet war sehr abwechslungsreich mit großer Auswahl. Als die Hauptspeise kam, waren wir alle sprachlos. Das Wildschwein war Butter zart und reichlich. Mein Familie und ich waren begeistert. Auch der Hofladen wurde getestet und ein Suppenhuhn für jeden wurde gekauft. Danke an das Restaurant Tanneneck für ein Perfektes Geburtstags Essen.

Liebes Tanneneck-Team, die Gans mit den zahlreichen Beilagen war perfekt 👌 (so gut hätte ich sie selber nicht hinbekommen). Nächstes Jahr machen wir das wieder 🪿 vielen Dank und ein schönes neues Jahr 2025 🎆

SEHR ENTTÄUSCHT 😞 Wir haben uns bewusst für das Restaurant entschieden, da es das Wildfuffet anbot und es uns als "Neuprobierer"in Sachen Wild u.a. eine prima Idee erschien, es gerade dort zu probieren. Beim Eintreffen gab es keine Begrüßung, ein Tisch wurde uns zugewiesen und wir nahmen an einem schlecht eingedeckten, lieblosen Tisch Platz. Wir schauten uns um, sahen zwei grosse Räume prall besetzt mit Tischen und Gästen bis auf die letzte Ecke gefüllt. Nirgendwo etwas Festliches oder gar Weihnachtliches, einfach total lieblos und kalt von der Atmosphäre. Wir fingen an mit der Vorspeise, Suppe war prima, Fisch u.s.w.auch. Wir standen in einem schmalen Gang, links und rechts an einem zugeklatschten, unübersichtlichen Buffet, Hinweisschilder an der Wand plaziert anstatt an den Speisen, oft wurde gefragt "was ist das?" aber gerade für Personen, die zum ersten Mal Wild probieren stand leider kein Koch oder ein Ansprechpartner am Buffet, um das Wildangebot zu erklären oder das eine oder andere zu empfehlen. Das Essen und die Sossen waren zum Teil lauwarm anstatt heiß, das Gemüse laff und nicht gewürzt. Kroketten und Pommes nur lauwarm. Durch die vielen vielen Personen, die hier Platz fanden, gab es durch dieses enge, kleine und unübersichtliche Buffet auch das entsprechende Gedränge. Nicht zu vergessen ist auch noch der grosse Raum hinter dem Buffet, der auch bis auf dem letzten Platz gefüllt war. Dementsprechend war auch die Luft. Durch die vielen Gäste teilweise echt grenzwertig. Beim Dessert das gleiche: bis auf den letzten Zentimenter zugeklatscht/ da kein Platz, man hatte Mühe, seinen Teller zu befüllen, da es einfach viel zu eng war. Während unseres Besuches wurde nicht einmal gefragt, ob wir zufrieden sind oder ob etwas fehlt. Wenn jemand kam, dann um nach Getränken zu fragen. Auch beim Verlassen des Restaurants gab es kein "Tschüss" oder "schön, dass Sie da waren"; vielleicht darf man auch nichts erwarten. FAZIT: Liebloses Restaurant, von Weihnachten keine Spur. Es ist sofort zu erkennen, dass es nur um Profit geht. Zu viele Tische/Gäste und im Gegenzug ein viel zu kleines beengtes,liebloses,zusammengeklatschtes Buffet, wo sich die Gäste stapeln. Passt einfach nicht. Service Null. Für den stolzen Preis nicht noch mal und absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Schade, dass es immer nur um Profit geht!!!!

Unfortunately you have to give at least 1 star... Like every year, we reserved a table in Tanneneck for our regular Christmas party. We had reserved a table by phone for yesterday (Sunday) at 6 p.m. 4 weeks ago. Some of us had come from further away by taxi. When we arrived we were greeted very unfriendly. We were then informed that there was apparently no reservation for us. The owner became very unfriendly and loud. After some back and forth we had to leave without having accomplished anything. We then decided on another restaurant nearby. We won't go to Tanneneck again.

The food I and my companions served was consistently very tasty. The price of vegetarian dishes should be reduced slightly. I was also very satisfied with the service. I only give 3 stars for the ambience because the acoustics in the winter garden are so poor that you can't even hear the people sitting next to you without shouting at each other. The restaurant should therefore think again about the spatial design concept. Overall, I am otherwise very satisfied with my visit to the Tanneneck Restaurant and would recommend the restaurant to others.

I had goose leg with dumplings and red cabbage. The meat was very good, red cabbage and dumplings were also tasty. The baked apple didn't convince me and I could have easily done without half a strawberry and an orange slice in this dish.

We were there for a buffet meal. Mega. So much choice, whether warm food, cold food or dessert. Everything was well prepared, good quality and very tasty. Always my pleasure.

Es gibt sie noch: die gute ehrliche deutsche Küche. Auf dem Weg zu meiner Unterkunft kam ich an diesem Restaurant vorbei. Was ich nicht wusste: Um 17 Uhr begann ein ausgebuchtes Wildbuffet. Um kurz nach 16 Uhr stand ich nun da, aber abgewiesen wurde ich nicht!!! Da ist ein Tisch, den wir ab 17:30 Uhr brauchen,... Wow! So einen Dienstleistungsgedanken würde ich mir in Hannover und Umgebung wünschen. Ein Gänseconsomme zum niederknien und dann krosse Ente mit Rotkohl, Klößen und klassisch angesetzter Sauce mit einem frisch gezapften Veltins. Besser kann man das nicht kochen!!! So viel Geschmack, so viel liebesvolles Handwerk und ein ehrlich gemeintes "Du bist hier herzlich willkommen" rundeten ein Gastronomieerlebnis der besonderen Art ab. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war top, top, top. Herzlichen Dank dafür!

Very nice restaurant, the buffet food was tasty and varied, for a good price. The staff was friendly. I can only recommend it! I would say music in the restaurant would be good too, it's a bit strange when you don't hear anything, in my opinion. There is a good playground outside, but it could be better maintained, lots of leaves that haven't been wiped up or slides and swings that haven't been cleaned. But overall great!

Were there about 15 years ago and have never eaten so badly and have never been treated as badly as back then! Would normally never have visited this restaurant again. But now we've heard that it's supposed to be really great there now. So, everyone deserves a second chance. What can I say, we were welcomed very warmly, the food was excellent and the price-performance ratio was very good. Maybe the owner has changed over the years!? Only the furnishings, especially in the area around the bar, are still very old-fashioned and are very reminiscent of a pub from the 70s. But otherwise really great!!!

Very good buffet. Although it wasn't overloaded or huge, the selection was excellent and of very high quality. The conditions were friendly but the young waiter who served us very well complained behind the scenes about the tip, which is a shame to hear something like that as a customer. Although we weren't at 10%, you shouldn't assume that with a bill for several hundred euros. Otherwise the experience was great, a lot of it was homemade and regional. We'd love to come back

The restaurant is in a very nice location. We were invited to a family celebration and had the opportunity to enjoy the excellent buffet. The dishes were excellent both in terms of taste and selection. The service staff was very friendly, but unfortunately a bit overwhelmed. A second service person would have helped enormously here to serve drinks and other things. Nevertheless, we would like to thank the service person who was responsible for us. She did a great job! The location of the restaurant is really great and the beer garden also looks very inviting. The price is rather high, but since we were invited, it was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon for us.

We were there for Sunday brunch. The selection is very diverse, you can't try everything because there is so much to choose from. From rolls to antipasti, salads, quark creams, desserts and later warm food, various types of meat, vegetables, side dishes. Coffee, juices, sparkling wine, wine, flavored water included. The location is also very nice with an adjacent outdoor terrace

A good restaurant with very nice staff. The food was incredibly tasty, I had the sauerbraten of beef which was just so tender that it fell apart. The dumplings and also the applesauce went perfectly with it. My friend had the beef roulades with boiled potatoes and a salad buffet. (also very tasty) In addition to the "normal" menu, we were also offered the offer of the day, including lamb and wild boar. We will come back

We just came from Easter brunch. It was - like the other times - simply excellent. We've been driving there for an hour for years because it's simply worth it. The quality of the food and drinks is simply very good. Likewise the service and the price performance. Thank you for the wonderful experience and see you next time

Easter brunch🐣 The restaurant was very busy, but despite everything, the service was very attentive and quick. The rooms were bright and despite the number of people there was a relaxed atmosphere and good table conversations could be had. The food was superbly prepared, some from our own farm. There was a very varied selection of breakfast and lunch. The fresh fruits were really fresh. The sanitary facilities were very well maintained. The changing room left nothing to be desired and is protected from view of the toilets. Something we have rarely experienced. In keeping with Easter, the children were able to look for Easter eggs outside and use the in-house play area. The various animals provided additional entertainment for young and old. As a small gift for the guests, there was an Easter egg at the table for each guest. Conclusion. It was definitely not the last visit and the last family meal in this restaurant See you soon 👋

THIS is a brunch that deserves the name!! (and not just an extended breakfast, or brunch limited to 12:30 p.m.) VERY extensive selection, it is always refilled, great quality, all drinks (including alcoholic) included. The competitors from Hagen who offer a so-called “brunch” can take one (no, SEVERAL) slices from this. Also in terms of service! If brunch, then only Tanneneck. We will be back definitely!
