Fantastic stay. We were there with the whole family and the waiter Ardi gave us a fantastic evening! Great food, great atmosphere and lots of enjoyment and warmth.

I will never eat there again. I got food poisoning!!

My partner and I had dinner here and everything was perfect from start to finish! We received a warm welcome, the waiters were very friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was simply superb! There's absolutely nothing to complain about and I would recommend a visit to everyone!

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and immediately felt at home. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was very inviting. The food was also unbelievably good; kudos to the kitchen again: the steaks were cooked to perfection! 👌 But what really made the whole evening perfect was the bowling alley in the basement. After a wonderful meal and great conversation with the staff, we played a round on the lanes. Everything was explained to us perfectly, and we had a lot of fun. And there's a phone directly to the bar so you can order more drinks even down in the basement! 😅 All in all, it was so good that we came back the very next day to repeat the experience. And we weren't disappointed! 😁 Next time we're in Cologne, we'll definitely be back! 😊 Highly recommended! 👍🏻

The food was tasty, but too varied. Sometimes tasty, sometimes so-so. It would be nice if you could always expect delicious food. The salad buffet has been worse; sometimes the salad is unfortunately wilted, so you should check it every now and then. Service was friendly.

The two of us spontaneously went there one Friday evening. When we called at around 7:30, we were told that hot food would be available until 9:00. So we went there around 8:00. The restaurant wasn't full, the staff was friendly and attentive, and I really liked the ambiance; it had a very cozy and peaceful charm, which I found ideal for evening conversation over good food. We ordered the grill platter for two (including fries and djuvec). The food was good overall, and I would recommend it; the only thing I would note is that some of the meats didn't seem as seasoned as I'm used to at Croatian restaurants. But I don't want to overemphasize that. I enjoyed it and I was full. I would particularly like to highlight the djuvec, which had a really good tomato flavor. I can recommend the restaurant and will definitely go back.

We ordered takeaway food and, due to work commitments, unfortunately didn't have any cutlery on hand. We asked the restaurant if they didn't have disposable cutlery available to cancel the order. There was no disposable cutlery available, so instead, they packed up regular cutlery and gave it to us. Super friendly service! The food was delicious too! We'd be happy to go again!

Our new local :-) Homely atmosphere with very friendly and attentive service. The food was delicious. We had the mixed grill and pork fillet with vegetables and croquettes from the daily special. The portions were filling, and the dessert was made with attention to detail....excellent value for money. We'll be back.

We had a delicious meal here. When we asked the incredibly good and attentive service, they asked the kitchen what they wanted, then offered us some delicious, healthy vegan dishes (not just fries), and asked if we could accommodate any special requests. All the dishes were delicious and freshly prepared. The portions are generous and offer good value for money. There's a salad bar so you can put together your own side salads. The atmosphere is very cozy. The washrooms are in the basement and are clean, renovated, and inviting. There's a large room for parties. A few days later, I returned for lunch. Everything was excellent here, too! See you soon!

In a neighborhood that isn't teeming with charismatic restaurants, the Buchheimer Kreuz is a special gem. The food is really good and the service is great! After more than 20 years, I visited Zum Buchheimer Kreuz again – now under new management – ​​and we were completely thrilled! We were there for a family meal with three generations, and there was something for every taste. Whether it was goat cheese as a starter, a grilled platter, or zander fillet – everything was fresh, lovingly prepared, and absolutely delicious. What was particularly nice was that even special requests (such as a combination of starter and main course) were easily accommodated and met with a smile. The service was attentive, warm, and always present, without being intrusive. Even our younger guests were treated with kindness and made to feel at home. Overall, a very pleasant atmosphere where you feel welcome and want to linger. A great restaurant for all generations – we will definitely be back!

We've known this restaurant for decades. First time with the new owner and...I'm disappointed. What's on the menu should also be on the plate. Minced meat with feta cheese! Unfortunately, the feta cheese turned out to be cow's milk cottage cheese. The minced meat wasn't cooked properly, but the cheese was a match, partly out. That's clear. Compared to feta cheese, it doesn't tolerate heat well. The rice was swimming in a runny paprika sauce. If you don't like dry rice, it's delicious. Service nice, friendly, fast, and attentive. Ambience - no major changes. A bit cleaner and brighter. The dark, old curtains are gone, freshly painted, fresh flowers. My almost 90-year-old grandfather was happy that it wasn't noisy. There's a small buffet with salad - that's also new. Prices and dishes (many schnitzel variations) are the same as at other Croatian restaurants. Menu in German (with errors), Croatian, Italian, and German. I don't understand the menu concept. My husband was happy with his grilled platter. Bottom line: because of the tranquility and proximity to Grandpa, we'll come back and try something different. Everyone deserves a second chance.
