Restaurant Zhang in Rosenheim

Don't go in the evening because it's a bit too expensive. 25 euros per person is too much. During the day, at 12pm, you pay less than 15 euros and you eat everything in abundance and it's delicious.

The staff is friendly but very understaffed; the food is of course a matter of taste, but I don't need to have it again anytime soon. It was very, very greasy, barely seasoned, and the buffet was practically always empty.

There wasn't much food left, but what little there was tasted good. The food at the lunch buffet could easily have been replenished, but unfortunately it wasn't. Service was okay. Maybe we'll give the restaurant another chance...

Honestly, the place looked exactly the same 10 years ago. Now it's just filthy and the food is awful. Some of the food was cold. The beef was like shoe leather. The sauces were indefinable. My family and I drove home hungry and disappointed. Never again!

I have been a loyal customer since the restaurant opened. We loved eating at Zhang's, even on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, however, the place has changed completely. Crowds of people storm the food before the buffet has even opened. The staff are completely understaffed. The tables are not clean, not to mention the chairs. When we got to our reserved table at 6 p.m., the buffet was completely empty. No sushi, no ingredients, no meat dish. The cutlery, plates and small bowls were already gone. In general, it feels like you're at a train station - far too loud and hectic. Children run around the restaurant like crazy. Unfortunately, there is no manager or restaurant manager who would take action here. We are very sad about this development. We will now take a different approach.

Good buffet selection, moderate price.

After about ten years, we decided to give the Zwang restaurant in Rosenheim a second chance and dine there. Unfortunately, the visit was a huge disappointment. The buffet, which costs a whopping €17.90 per person (plus drinks), didn't meet our expectations in terms of quality or taste. The selection was very monotonous, and many dishes seemed carelessly prepared. The "Cookies Show" was a particular flop – the baby calamari with giblets on offer tasted terrible and completely unappealing. The drinks also left a poor impression; the quality didn't seem much better than the food. We left the restaurant disappointed, with half-full stomachs and a bad feeling in our stomachs. This was especially painful because we had our daughter's birthday dinner there – a day that should have been a particularly special one. Unfortunately, neither the food nor the atmosphere were up to scratch, which made the evening very disappointing. Once and never again – we cannot recommend the buffet here.

So, I read the reviews here and was a bit horrified. I couldn't understand it at all. And now I have to take issue with the reviews. We ate there today, and now we also think that they focus more on quantity than quality. Yes, that's true about the tables not being cleaned very well. Ours was a bit stained, too. And then I looked at other places, and it was the same there. And, guys, the cutlery wasn't completely clean either. I cleaned mine with a napkin. And today it was completely full. Back to school 🙄. Luckily, we were finished. But I have to say one thing: we were in the restaurant at 11:30 a.m., and everything was there. But we'll be eating there less often from now on.

Sometimes there is not enough food, especially just before lunch

The Zang restaurant, which was under different management a year ago, was our regular lunch spot. Under the new management, it has deteriorated considerably. The tables are no longer wiped, you can't find a clean seat, the food is skimped on. The breasts are undercooked, there are no sprouts or vegetables, all the food is carelessly thrown into the trash, and almost all the staff don't understand you. We were very disappointed for the second time and won't be coming back.

We've been there many times, but recently things have gone downhill...food was poorly refilled, signs weren't displayed correctly, and the staff could be friendlier and more attentive, even though it wasn't busy...when you pay you're just brushed off, no thank you, no nothing...not even fortune cookies anymore...we were very disappointed, we used to enjoy going there.

We just happened to be nearby and were really hungry. After the 4+ star rating, we went in with a positive attitude. But that was a mistake… filthy and sticky tables, dirty dishes, food only refilled upon request (there wasn't even any rice!), and the food itself was rather mediocre. The drink tasted stale. Staff were friendly, but few and far between. In conclusion, if you're looking for a cheap lunch menu and don't care about the rest, you can definitely stop by. For everyone else, I recommend looking elsewhere. It's better to invest a few euros more and get good food in a clean place.

The dinner buffet is €17.90 in the evening, so with a drink you'll pay over €20. The food is good, but fairly average. It's definitely convenient and quick.

The taste was okay. Waited a full 50 minutes for the food (to go). The food came without rice. There was only one waiter for the entire restaurant. I was completely overwhelmed with about three Arab-looking families trying to pay at the same time.

We were there for lunch today. The food itself was very tasty. However, the cleanliness and hygiene left a lot to be desired. The floor by the windows is so dirty it takes away your appetite. The serving trolley used to carry away the dirty and clean dishes is covered in dirt and food scraps. The tiles in the restrooms, as well as the restrooms themselves, are in desperate need of a cleaning. I won't be going back to that place.

We've been guests there for years, and the staff is getting worse and worse, as is the cleanliness and hygiene! Ready food, which is supposed to be brought to the buffet, is sitting on a serving cart in front of the restroom door, where dirty dishes from clearing are also sitting. Wouldn't it be possible to place the food directly at the counter instead of leaving it on the serving cart, which is already almost full of dirty dishes? The service was also completely overwhelmed! At first, we had to wait a relatively long time (about 15 minutes) to be served, but the waitresses arrived quickly, after about 10 minutes. The place wasn't busy. Do they have new staff there?

Cold, over-salted food, limited selection because nothing was refilled, I had diarrhea after eating, and the staff was overwhelmed. This was definitely our last visit. Unfortunately, we can't give it zero points.

Were there in the evening, 17.90 for a buffet with an option for Mongolian grill and about 3 euros for a large drink. Standard Asian buffet, relatively little choice, but everything was tasty. Disaster, the large area ambience is the least of the problems. Starters were completely dried out, even with the packaged sauce that didn't soften them. My partner's meat dish came to the table raw, mine not at all. We left the restaurant in a hurry and disgusted, despite hardly eating anything, the full price was charged. If you don't believe it, look at the map outside and that's the same condition inside. One positive thing was that we had never seen such a “colorful” audience.

Absolute disaster! The food is nothing special... the cook is totally bored even though there are around 30 plates there and you can't help but feel sorry for the waitress, she runs back and forth between the tables and has no help! Ordering new drinks or clearing the tables in between doesn't happen at all, a fraction of what it used to be...

Great service, everything at the buffet was fresh, we would love to come back

We always enjoy coming here because the buffet is really good. There is something for everyone here. From sushi to soup. Lots of baked variations, different vegetable and meat dishes, salads, lots of dessert options, a great chocolate fountain and delicious blue ice cream. You can also have fresh ingredients freshly prepared on the grill with your favorite sauce. The service is very nice and quick. The lunch buffet is cheaper, but not everything is available. But enough for lunch.

At the beginning of December, a table for ten people was reserved by telephone for January 11th from 7 p.m. We arrived on time together and were told that we hadn't made a reservation. How can that be? They are unable to accept reservations over the phone and have not written it down. So we were forced to go to the competition.

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food. Despite booking a month before, we didn't get a place. We had to wait over 20 minutes before we drove to the competition.

The buffet selection is quite good. You can also choose live fish or live crayfish which will be prepared especially for you. You can eat everything in unlimited quantities (as much as you can). You shouldn't go there to eat sushi (sushi only with salmon and rolls with shrimp, crab sticks and avocado). In general, everything else is quite tasty.

It was a nice, cozy evening with relatives. Unfortunately, there was a loud large family at the next table, listening to music on their cell phones, and almost impudent at the buffet, who in the end wanted to take all of the food from the buffet that had not been eaten and that had been piled up far too much. But the restaurant can't do anything about it.

We had dinner with the family at the weekend and as a larger group we were able to easily reserve the next room. There was a great and large selection at the buffet, including very exotic types of meat. Everything tasted very tasty and the service was also very friendly and accommodating. It was always restocked and the value for money is unbeatable. We would love to come back.

Always worth a visit. The menu is regularly replenished, there is no waiting time, and the food tastes perfect. We'd love to come back. Why only four stars everywhere? Food: not outstanding, but very good. Service: no one comes to the cashier and no one asks if you would like to drink anything else (despite empty glasses). Ambience: Since you are sitting near the buffet and the cooking is open inside, you can't expect anyone to wear your clothes. Ventilation, yes. But all in all, complaining on a high level.

I don't understand the rating at all! Rarely have I eaten something so unappetizing, with an extremely unpleasant fishy smell. We ordered two different beef dishes. We mainly eat from the buffet 1 point deducted for service because there is so much going on at the weekend that the service staff can hardly keep up with refilling the food! I've had buffet restaurants with more selection and where it also tasted better. The sushi was slightly warm because hot dishes were offered opposite... The crispy duck was also rather sparsely refilled. Iced tea comes from Aldi... and is too expensive for that... I wouldn't visit this restaurant again.

The food is typical of a buffet. Of course it can happen that something is no longer totally hot. Enough choice. It is being refilled. Fresh ingredients such as fish, meat and vegetables can be grilled. This is highly recommended. But it takes a little longer. Unfortunately there is very little sushi available. Otherwise everything was clean and tasty.

I've been going to Zhang's for years and today it's so bad that I asked for the bill after 10 minutes. Everything felt completely empty and after 20-30 minutes nothing or hardly anything was refilled. Had to stay seated because the friend wanted to wait for what was to come. The store wasn't even half full. The live chef had almost raw food brought to the table, nothing excepted or anything else, so many years of regular customers had scared them away in one evening. I think that was the last time. I always drive 30 km, it's not worth it ADDENDUM August 10, 2024 A good friend persuaded me to give the store another chance. We went into the store and the woman recognized me from far away and immediately came to us and said in the worst possible German that I am a bad guest because I gave a bad rating and I am BANNED from the house. It shows myself even more that the store and the service are absolute TRASH and I can advise anyone not to go there

We went to this restaurant for lunch. I ordered duck with fried pork and chicken from the lunch menu starter spring rolls the rolls were really very bad frozen goods. the only good thing about the dish was the vegetables, the duck was dry and the fried meat was almost inedible.

Unfortunately the meat in the dishes was soggy. There were always empty bowls at the buffet. The offer didn't blow me away. Desserts were also so la la. The plates at the tables were rarely picked up.
