Great service, great team, we had a really nice evening

Yammas with Christos always offers great food and special requests are always fulfilled.

In the Yammas restaurant you will be treated in a friendly and courteous manner until you have something to complain about. From then on there is a risk of finding yourself in a nightmare. Unfortunately that's what happened on my last visit a few days ago. The baked bifteki I ordered was still raw on the inside, which I politely and reservedly pointed out. I expressed a wish to be able to order something else. The boss told me (already slightly aggressively) that this wasn't possible because the kitchen was already closed, that I could either get the same food again or nothing at all, and in any case I would have to pay for it. I decided to do nothing at all and that was fine with me. Nevertheless, shortly afterwards the food was served to me a second time, but I left it because of my uneasy feeling. Now the boss spoke to me in a very disrespectful and aggressive manner, distorting the facts and calling my behavior an insult for not trying the food. The culmination of this second level of escalation was that he actually cut the meat with my cutlery to prove that everything was fine and didn't even show any insight when the meat was clearly in the same condition as when it was first served. At the end, the boss insisted on being the first to accept my payment. After a few provocations and taunts on his part and hints from our group that things were getting to be enough, my payment was generously waived. I am only too happy to comply with his wish not to come back, but it is to be feared that this also applies to my companions, who, like me, are shocked by this undignified behavior.

Really good food for such a relatively small restaurant. You should definitely make a reservation. I had gyros with souflaki, delicious and lots of onions. The boss probably offered us a tray of ouzo a total of four times. Craziness. Unfortunately, we were all drivers and were reluctant to do without.

Conveniently located. Just a short drive from the motorway exit. Gas station is also on the way there. Spontaneously left and looked for something to eat. Found what I was looking for and ate a very tasty Greek meal.

We happened to eat at Yammas yesterday and were extremely pleasantly surprised. We didn't expect such an extensive mezedes menu and since we like it much better than the usual grill plates, we indulged ourselves with various mezedes. That also went excellently. The food was very tasty and the portions were generous. There was also extremely friendly and attentive service. Conclusion, unreservedly recommended.

The Yammas restaurant is a Greek specialty restaurant. There is indoor and outdoor seating. As a guest you can choose from an extensive menu. The prepared dishes taste excellent. In my opinion, no wish is left unfulfilled when it comes to food and drinks given the large selection. You experience perfect Greek hospitality and receive very friendly service. I really enjoyed being a guest there and can fully recommend a visit to this restaurant.

Very nice atmosphere, short waiting time for the food, despite the good number of visitors. My lamb chops with fries were delicious, ouzo only tastes good when eaten by Greeks.

As always, the food was extremely tasty and good. The waiters were nice and courteous, the food was served without a long wait. At the end there was even free chocolate ice cream with whipped cream for my son, a highlight. The atmosphere is relaxed and the restaurant is always full. Important to know: only cash payment possible.

We got something to take away for the first time. The food is plenty. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant is nicely decorated. The taste didn't blow us away. The price is in the normal range.

We all enjoyed the food very much, rich, varied and well prepared. The prices seemed reasonable to me and the staff were mostly friendly and accommodating. Sometimes passed by the table very quickly but still somehow within reach. The parking spaces are sparse but the operator can't do anything about it, just keep in mind that there are guests with restrictions. We were impressed by the quality and performance and would be happy to visit the Yammas team again.

The welcome was friendly. A few weeks ago I gave this restaurant 5 stars. Today we ate here again and unfortunately had a disappointing experience, which prompted me/us to adjust my rating. In our opinion (4 people smelled it), one of the four main dishes (chicken souvlaki) smelled spoiled from the first bite and that's how it tasted. Upon request/complaint, the dish was accepted and it was assumed to us/me that I was already so full after enjoying the starters that I could no longer eat a main course or wanted to. Quote: "It couldn't be that there was something wrong with the dish, since other guests had already eaten this dish yesterday and today." I/we pointed out very discreetly (and quietly) that the meat should be checked. We therefore found this reaction more than inappropriate. This food, which we thought was spoiled, was still listed on the bill and we were only given a refund of €11 out of €17. From our point of view a no go... We didn't make a big deal about it and still settled the bill; but …. It's a shame actually... It can always happen that the meat “tips over” within a very short space of time... unfortunately, in our opinion, the way in which our complaint was responded to is not at all acceptable. This restaurant will never see us again!!!

Unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right: too expensive! Souvlaki gratinated was "drowned" in the sauce, hardly any cheese. The fries were sticky and the rice (why rice? It wasn't even on the menu for this dish!) was bland. The salad is okay, a bit much dressing. The service is clumsy and clumsy: It was reserved for 21 people. The arrangement of the tables was ill-considered and simply too narrow for this number of people. ...and here is my answer to your stupid reaction: We were only 19 adults and had no children with us. The tables were placed very awkwardly around the corner and we had to squeeze in! There was an ouzo beforehand. A second one was available upon request and the lady who asked even had to pay for hers! We could only dream of 4 Ouzo! By the way, in December it was still 7% and not 19% VAT!

Good solid Greek restaurant. We like to go to Yammas occasionally. The greeting is always very warm and you feel welcome at any time! The portions are generous and the food tastes good to very good. If you're in the area and fancy a Greek evening, you can't go wrong here

Sehr leckeres Essen und sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service.

Ich war gestern das erste mal seit meiner Konfirmation wieder in einem griechischen Restaurant essen. Wir waren mit 5 Leuten dort. Die Begrüßung fand persönlich an der Tür statt was ich so noch nicht gesehen habe. Tisch ausgesucht und kurze Zeit später wurden uns auch schon die Speisekarte von einer netten Dame gebracht. Nachdem alle was ausgesucht haben wurde bestellt und auch relativ schnell an den Tisch gebracht. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Teller leer. Ich fand das die Portionen gut gewählt wurden, nicht zu viel aber auch nicht zu wenig. Gerade richtig. Die ganze Zeit über wurden wir gut bedient, auch wenn das Restaurant immer voller wurde. Das Personal ist immer unterwegs gewesen und hat gefragt ob wir noch was bestellen wollen und ob alles OK ist. Sehr freundliches Personal und Chefs. Das Ambiente weiß zu gefallen und erinnert an Griechenland. Kann ich nur empfehlen!

War ein schöner Tag mit Freunden bei gutem Essen, schönem Ambiente und leckerem Essen.

Kein Vergleich zum Apostels früher noch zum Akropolis in Hohenhameln aber noch ok. Weder gibt es eine Salatbar noch hatte mein Essen die Qualität die ich gewohnt bin. Die W. Bedienung wirkte lustlos und sollte in Sachen Kundenfreudlichkeit noch einges dazu lernen. Der Cheff dagegen war super freundlich und wir hoffen, dass er sein Team zum Erfolg führen kann.

Günstig und reichhaltig. Super netter Service. Update 2022: Restaurant hieß bis 2021 Apostel. Der vorherige Besitzer arbeitet dort noch und versorgt die Kundschaft immer noch mit reichlich Ouzo 😅 Update 2023. Neuer Inhaber, gleicher Service, immer noch gutes Essen.

Etwas Hecktische Abfertigung aber Freundliche Mitarbeiter und gutes Essen

Ankommen, beim Freund gut essen.

Nach meinem Umzug haben mein Freund und ich nach einem guten griechischen Restaurant gesucht und haben es hier gefunden. Alle sind so unfassbar freundlich und immer aufmerksam. Das Ambiente erinnert an Griechenland und ist immer wie ein kleiner Urlaub, wobei auch das qualitativ hochwertige Essen dazu beiträgt. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne zu Christos und seinem Team. Danke 🫶

Ich war vor einigen Jahren hier und es hat sich vieles verändert. Es ist moderner geworden viel mehr Technik , was gut ist . Man hat überall Hörer zum Nachhören. Man hat sich zurückgesetzt gefühlt. Das beuere Museum hat mir nicht so gefallen.

Wir komnen wieder. Preis/ Leistung ist in Ordnung. Das Essen war lecker, das Fleisch zart und nicht trocken. Alles in allem ganz gut.

-Knoblauchbrot sehr lecker und zu Empfehlen, dazu gab es eine kleine Kugel Tzaziki in der Mitte, steht leider auch hier nicht auf der Karte, hatte es voher erfagt, wär schön wen es auf der Karte stehen würde. -Salat vor weg ok, dressig eher dünn/wässrig. -Metaxasauce mit Einlage, kenne sie oft eher schlicht, könnte man in der Karte angeben, da ich nicht richtig erkennen konnte was es ist, bei Unverträglichkeiten schöner es voher zu wissen. (Extra bestellt) -Im Bifteki konnte man den Schafskäse leider suchen, war leider nur ein Hauch, war auch keine Metaxasauce dazu/darunter gewesen, kenne ich auch anders. Schön war das es in einem kleinen Glasschälchen eine kleine Portion Tzaziki dau gab. -Uzo Angebot ist nett, für Autofahrer oder Menschen die nicht trinken dürfen, könnte man Ersatz anbieten (Alkoholfreien Kinderschnaps oder so) -Bedienung war Höflich und schnell. -Preislich ok.

Ein bisschen Griechenland. Authentische Einrichtung gepaart mit leckerem Essen. Jeder wird an der Tür persönlich, per Handschlag, begrüßt. So geht Dienstleistung.

Essen war leider zu kalt obwohl wir gyros überbacken hatten und nach Rückfrage nur lächeln und nichts weiter

Wir waren jetzt 2x da, und das Essen ist wirklich gut. Allerdings zu viel.... Bedienung freundlich. Wer Abends essen will, dem rate ich dringend, einen Tisch zu reservieren. Es war sauber, und der Preis war völlig in Ordnung.

Sehr guter Service und sehr gute Speisen, hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Können wir gerne weiterempfehlen.

Hallo, ich war heute mit meiner Familie essen. Da wir "fast" die Ersten waren, lief es wahrscheinlich noch nicht rund. Die Begrüßung war okay. Die folgenden Gäste hatten vor der Getränkebestellung schon einen Ouzo. Auch im Folgenden hatten "Nachbartische" 4-5 mal das "Vergnügen". Bei uns wurde "konsequent" mit dem vollen Ouzo-Tablett vorbei gegangen. Es geht mir nicht darum, dass Ouzo-Ströme in einem griechischem Restaurant "fließen müssen". Aber jeder Gast sollte gleich "wahrgenommen" werden. Ich musste einen bestellen. Meine Kinder haben einen Kinderouzo bei der Rechnung bekommen. Ganz ehrlich...., bei Apostel wäre das nicht passiert. Natürlich geben wir dem neuen Wirt nochmal eine zweite Chance. Fleischqualität war gut. Früher waren wir bei Apostel Stammgäste....!

Man wurde mit Handschlag begrüßt. Die 3 Bedienungen waren wirklich sehr aufmerksam, sie haben alles voll im Griff gehabt. Ich habe eine Zeus Platte gegessen, sie war vorzüglich. Das Fleisch war sehr zart, Leber sehr lecker. Zur Begrüßung, zwischendurch und bei der Bezahlung gab es einen Ouzo. Von mir bekommt das Lokal eine 1+. Werde auf alle Fälle wiederkommen.

Essen und Service waren Top - werden wieder herkommen!

Für die griechische Küche finde ich (persönlich) das Essen etwas fad gewürzt (ich weiß, man kann nachwürzen, aber das ist ja nochmal ein anderer Geschmack als wenn das Gewürz noch etwas mit kocht) und die Metaxasoße hat mir persönlich zuviel nach Tomate geschmeckt. Trotzdem liebe 5 Sterne :-)
