This is a GREAT restaurant and an insider tip! We enjoyed a delicious pumpkin cream soup as a starter, as well as pumpkin gnocchi. Super friendly service and delicious, authentic cuisine are what make this restaurant stand out!!! TOP!!!!

We received a very friendly welcome there at lunchtime after our bike ride. They're always happy to welcome guests. The service was very entertaining. The menu was also an experience, just like our entire stay there with friends.

Very nice atmosphere, outstanding quality. Homemade spaetzle, the roast beef with onions cooked to perfection. Always happy to come back, highly recommended.

Today was our first visit to this beautiful place, idyllically situated outside of Öhringen among the vineyards. We received a warm welcome from the staff and received equally friendly and unobtrusive service. We had some time to admire the food until it arrived. Everything here was stylishly and unostentatiously decorated, and the entire grounds were very clean and well-maintained. The food was equally harmonious, beautifully presented, and extremely tasty. Not everyone can make good sauces – this kitchen does it! The quality is top-notch here – and the price is right, too. And if you're not only full after your meal, but also have a smile on your face, then you've done everything right. Thanks to the team – we'd love to come back.

We got married here in July, and it couldn't have been more perfect! It's truly beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly kind, professional, and helpful! A lovely, somewhat secluded restaurant with excellent wines and high-quality, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented dishes. The service was friendly and competent. We've been there four times, and each visit has been a delight.

Update: We enjoyed the three-course barbecue menu last weekend and were unfortunately extremely disappointed. The whole thing was more like a buffet – appetizers, main courses, and dessert – but most of the dishes simply lacked seasoning and a certain kick. The main courses were even weaker: Much of the meat and fish was extremely dry or burnt, and the grilled items were constantly sold out. Refills weren't really fair – it felt like whoever was quicker got everything. While individual items like the venison bratwurst were okay, overall, hardly anything was special or well-seasoned. The service this time was also significantly weaker than on our last visit, which is a shame. For the price of €59 per person, the menu simply wasn't worth it – too little quality for the money. The dessert was also nothing special in terms of taste and hardly fit the barbecue theme: The chocolate mousse tasted like it came from a packet, and the other creams also seemed rather pre-made and far too sweet. Overall, this event was unfortunately not a highlight. Perhaps the restaurant should be given another chance on a normal day. One of the best restaurants I've been to so far. This restaurant is in my top three, along with the Veltinskeller in Zurich and the Mash in Hamburg. The ambiance is beautifully decorated in an old-fashioned style. You sit in a large hall that can accommodate larger groups. The noise level in the restaurant was very pleasant that evening and personally put me at a very relaxed level. The service is very friendly and accommodating. The food is probably homemade from start to finish. Not for a second did you feel like you were eating convenience food. The salads were impeccable and extremely delicious. The beef broth was topped with two large slices of homemade Maultaschen, which tasted perfect. My snails with garlic were also a dream. The game platter was large and also world-class in flavor. Everything was beautifully balanced, and the homemade spaetzle and sauce rounded it all off perfectly. The pork medelions were also a 10/10, according to my companion. To finish off, I had the speculoos tart, which was also absolutely amazing. My companion chose the apple fritter, which, like the other dishes, was simply delicious. I've rarely been so amazed, happy, and relaxed after a restaurant visit. Thank you for the great experience; it's definitely worth every cent. This was our second time here and we were absolutely thrilled again! The food was simply amazing. The starter was pumpkin cream soup and a rich broth – I've never tasted such a delicious soup. For the main course, I had the venison saddle duet, and everything tasted wonderfully fresh. You can immediately tell that everything is still 100% homemade here – even the duchess potatoes were homemade, which is truly a rarity these days. My special request for cranberries and red cabbage was fulfilled without any problems and even at no extra charge. My companions had venison stew and roast beef with onions. These dishes were also delicious, and I was allowed to try them – I was blown away! For dessert, I had the speculatius cake again, which was simply fantastic. My companions had ice cream, which I also tried – and I have to say: really good, delicious ice cream. Despite the large groups in the restaurant, everything ran smoothly. The wait times were just right, and a small order mix-up was immediately noticed and corrected before we even had to say anything. A perfect evening with first-class food and great service. Definitely a 10/10 – we'll definitely be back!

Top-notch ambiance. The outdoor terrace is well-protected from the wind. The interior is bright and flooded with light. We only treated ourselves to one glass of wine, so we can't comment on the food. The staff is friendly and open to a pleasant conversation.

Mein Mann und ich hatten Hochzeitstag und haben das 4 Gang Menü mit Weinbegleitung bestellt das auf der Homepage angeboten wird. Als wir ankamen war das ganze Restaurant mit einer Großveranstaltung voll. Es war ein Lärmpegel dieser nicht auszuhalten war. Wir konnten uns nicht unterhalten. In dem großen offenen Raum hat es extrem gehallt. Unser Tischchen war im letzten Eck und sehr schön dekoriert. Das Essen war nichts besonderes aber ok und schön angerichtet. Aber nachdem Hauptgang musste ich den Raum wegen dieser fürchterlichen Lärmbelästigung verlassen. Und bat darum noch auf der Terasse zu sitzen auch wenn es regnerisch war da wir es nicht mehr aushielt. Die Bedienung hatte Verständnis und konnte es nachvollziehen. Aber liebes Wiesenkelter Team ganz ehrlich… ich habe den Tisch vor Wochen bei ihnen reserviert mit Angabe Hochzeitstag und ihr Angebot mit dem Menü schließt darauf dass sie einen ruhigen angenehmen Abend für zwei anbieten möchten. Aber das heute war ein Unding! Wenn sie wissen dass sie eine Grossveranstaltung im gleichen Raum haben und uns dazu entschieden in den gleichen Raum setzen dann hätte ich von ihnen erwartet uns rechtzeitig zuvor zu informieren ob dies für uns ok ist!! Wir haben nur einmal im Jahr Hochzeitstag und möchten etwas schönes und ruhiges erleben. Dieser Abend war für uns heute komplett versaut! Echt schade!

We celebrated our wedding at Wiesenkelter in June and couldn't be happier. During the planning phase, Ms. Cattepoel accommodated all of our wishes, and the coordination was very straightforward and friendly. On the day itself, everything went as we had discussed, and the process was perfect. The entire Wiesenkelter team was professional and friendly, and the food was outstanding, receiving praise from many guests ☀️ Besides the wedding, we've been there several other times, and the food was truly delicious every time! Wow, what a place. Super, super beautiful. Friendly people and super delicious food.

Our lunch visit was, unfortunately, a complete disappointment. Even when ordering, we had to wait over 30 minutes for our food, even though the place was barely busy. When a drink with an expired best-before date (12/24!) was served, there was no apology at all – it was only replaced upon request. But things were made particularly unpleasant by other guests: They too had received an obviously expired drink. We tried to start a friendly conversation – but instead, they mocked us, loudly, and for over 20 minutes. The restaurant owner didn't respond. Instead of taking the problem seriously and complaining about and exchanging the drinks for these guests as well (and thus taking a stand that it is not sustainable to sell expired drinks at full price, as the neighboring table claimed), they simply accepted it – and ultimately left us to be ridiculed. The food was mediocre – dry, blandly seasoned tomato rice, prepared without any love. The mixed grill, on the other hand, was good. Poor service, questionable customer service, and an unpleasant atmosphere. We definitely won't be back.

It was very nice there. The food and wine were excellent.

The restaurant is idyllically located in the heart of nature, surrounded by vineyards on the outskirts of Verrenberg, on the Fürst Hohenlohe winery in Öhringen. We've been here several times over the years and have always been extremely satisfied. The cuisine is creative and the service excellent. During the week, they offer a reasonably priced lunch menu 👍.

The ambience and service were very good, the service was very nice and accommodating, the food was very appealing, but unfortunately a bit poorly seasoned. If there had been a little more salt and pepper, I would have given it 5 stars. The dessert (chocolate cake) was delicious.

Last night, seven of us went to the Wiesenkelter in Verrenberg. We had venison with spaetzle and roast beef with onions and fried potatoes, and schnitzel with fries and salad. The wine recommendation, Verrenberger Lemberger dry, went very well with it. Afterward, we had espresso variations with salted caramel and cream. Our small special requests were no problem. Everything was delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommended; we'd be happy to come back.

The food and wine are excellent. Unfortunately, the interior is open and very noisy. Conversations are therefore difficult. When we reserved the table, we were not told that a wedding party would be guests that same evening; If I had known this, I wouldn't have booked a table there.

The food was delicious, but the prices were way too high. We have always been guests there for years. There were decent prices there. Unfortunately it is no longer possible to visit this restaurant given the prices. Unfortunately one star 💰 It's no longer affordable for a normal earner. 😪

My husband celebrated his 50th birthday there and it was just perfect. The food was sensational. All guests were absolutely thrilled. There was also more than enough food. The service was very attentive, incredibly friendly and there were enough staff there. We were allowed to party as long as we wanted. The location itself is beautifully located between vineyards and you can sit both inside and outside. It was a complete success and we are more than happy about this absolutely wonderful evening that they made possible for us there. THANKS!

Finally found the time to pay a visit to the Wiesenpresster Öhringen Verrenberg. It was well attended. The very courteous and friendly staff welcomes you. The food was really excellent. The price-performance ratio is 100%. Definitely a clear recommendation from me.

We were there for lunch. The lunch menu is really excellent value for money. We were also there with our baby, there was a high chair and we even got unused toys and a children's portion of spaetzle super quickly. The vegetable lasagna was also very tasty. Only the ox cheeks were less soft/tender than expected.

Hmmm... maybe we expected too much. Despite the prices, the food was rather mediocre. The vegetable lasagna was already very black on top and seemed to be covered in tomato sauce as if they were trying to hide it. Having said that, there was only a shrug of the shoulders in response. We've eaten cheese spaetzle that's worlds better. Otherwise, yes, okay, but the price-performance ratio is not right for us. Service neither particularly friendly nor unfriendly, strange atmosphere. Vegetarian selection is limited, you won't find vegan options. The complex is very beautiful and you can enjoy the peace and nature.

It was like many times before - once again a great and pleasant visit. Very tasty cuisine, completely relaxed and quiet atmosphere, even on Father's Day outside on the terrace. We were also served by the extremely friendly and nice service person Carina and we had a very nice stop.

A relatively plentiful selection compared to a German restaurant. I would like to highlight the Cordon Bleu, which can be chosen from 3 types of meat, 3 types of fillings, 3 types of sauces and 3 types of side dishes if the waitress can remember. No dessert selection just some ice cream with sauce, but that's not better anywhere else. The interior is sophisticated, the service is friendly.

Very nice atmosphere and delicious food

Wir waren bei unserem Besuch im Dezember leider nicht zufrieden. Die Weißwein-Schorle war nicht kalt und schmeckte abgestanden. Die Rinderkraftbrühe war geschmacklich sehr gut, aber leider nur lauwarm. Die halbe Bauernente war trocken, die Semmelknödel nicht fluffig und schmackhaft, sondern hart, fad und ohne Petersilie. Das Fleisch der Gänsekeule war ebenfalls sehr trocken, die dazu servierte Sosse ohne besonderen Pep. Es ist wirklich schade, dass das Essen nur noch Mittelmaß ist, denn die Location ist sehr schön, vor allem die Aussenterrasse im Sommer.

Unter der Leitung von Herrn Payerle (der übrigens selbst im Service mittut) ist dieses Lokal zu einem Treffpunkt für Feinschmecker geworden. Was da von freundlichem Personal an den Tisch gebracht wird, sind von einem Topkoch zubereitete Speisen mit vorwiegend lokalen Produkten. Die Speisekarte enthält auch Weinempfehlungen von gegenüberliegenden Fürst Hohenlohe Weingut. Die Preise sind sehr reell. Ich bin begeistert und hab den Besuch im Wiesenkelter nach 2 Tagen wiederholt. Wann immer ich wieder in der Gegend bin werde ich da einkehren.

We celebrated our wedding in the Wiesenkelter a week ago and had a wonderful celebration!!! Our guests were all enthusiastic about the location, the food and the nice service. And of course we do too!! The communication in advance was totally uncomplicated and we had a good feeling right from the start. There are really professionals at work here. Wunderschöne Location mitten in den Weinbergen, Entspannung pur unter der Terrasse mit dem Efeu, Essen der 1. Klasse, tolles und zuvorkommendes Personal, wir hatten super 1,5h dort, gerne wieder und empfehlenswert!

Unglaublich schöne Location wo man gerne mal eine angenehme Zeit verbringt.

Schönes Restaurant in einer alten Kelter, aber Akustik ist sehr laut. Uns hat das ein wenig gestört. Allerdings ist das Essen sehr gut und auch die Getränke und die sehr guten Weine. Auf der Terrasse geht's wesentlich leiser zu.

Man sitzt wunderschön im Hof des Weinguts. Das Ambiente ist etwas schicker, aber auch diverse Radler vom nahegelegenen Radweg. Ich hatte die Tagesgerichte Suppe Hauptgang Dessert. Alles war geschmacklich und optisch super. Der Service aufmerksam und unaufdringlich. Die Weine lecker und hochwertig. Die Preise sind der Qualität entsprechend und gehen voll in Ordnung.

Gutes Essen mit einer nervösen Bedienung

Sehr gut! Absolut zu empfehlen und auch preislich für die Qualität in Ordnung. Die Kinderportionen sind sogar sehr günstig.

Das waren zwei Stunden „Kurzurlaub“ von der Autobahn auf der Durchreise. Sehr schönes Restaurant mit der Möglichkeit, im Freien zu sitzen, stilvolle Atmosphäre. Sehr gutes Essen bei korrektem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, sehr aufmerksame Bewirtung.

Sehr schönes Ambiente. Wir waren mit Geschäftspartnern zum Mittags Tisch dort. Und haben anschließend auch noch Wein gekauft. Alles ok. Preis Leistung stimmt 👍😊
