Restaurant Weissenburg in Köln

After two visits to the Weißenburg, it's clear that it's worth stopping by more often. Whether it's potato salad with lamb meatballs, tortilla, tarte flambée, or the sometimes unusual draft beers, a visit is worthwhile, as is the friendly service.

Very nice restaurant on Weißenburg Straße in the Agnesviertel. Good menu, pleasant atmosphere, very attentive service and a fair price-performance ratio. Gladly again!

We ate there on Wednesday during my husband's lunch break with our baby in the stroller and both ate the lunch dish: pulled pork burger with Weissenburg fries and coleslaw. The food was super delicious!!! The soft drink with lavender was also delicious! The waitresses were all super friendly and the service was top notch. At the end we had a cappuccino. The price-performance ratio was great! We'll be back! There was also a small changing area (on the ladies' toilet). The stroller could easily be parked next to the table.

The pumpkin and zucchini quiche was delicious. Unfortunately it was very loud in the restaurant.

Wir hatten per online gebucht und waren 5 Personen. Dann haben wir einen Tisch in Eingangsnahe bekommen. Das war nicht optimal. Jedes Mal wenn jemand das Restaurant betrat, war es kalt. Eigentlich sollte es ein gemütliches Essen werden, der Anlass war ein 50. Geburtstag. Ich kannte die Weissenburg. Das Essen war in Ordnung, nur die Sosse zum Schnitzel war zu pappig. Die hatte ich mit etwas Sahne verlängert, sie wäre geschmeidiger und auch geschmacklich besser.

One of the most beautiful restaurants in the city for us. Eating is always a pleasure and the menu changes regularly. Beautiful location and super nice staff. Jacky and Mae regularly sweeten our evenings there. Always and gladly come back. An absolute recommendation in the Agnesviertel!

Flying Dinner. The individual courses were really very tasty. But the times between courses were a bit too long for me. But basically a recommendation.

I was extremely surprised, I have to admit. It sounded good, but I wasn't expecting much more than to be satisfied. But I have to say, everything (3 dishes for me, plus one that I tried at someone else's) was really very well seasoned. That alone puts this restaurant above most others. Highly recommended!

Very nice location. Great service, delicious food. Special feature: There is always one Promotional beer. As a nightcap I had a homemade lemonade and my husband drank rum. There is also a large wine list, highly recommended.

If you're already responding to guests' criticism, you shouldn't remove the long-running favorite from the menu, the Weissenburg salad. More like the other salads or whatever. It's a shame that I now have to ask when it will be on the menu.

Food is great, unfortunately the service is not that friendly P.s.: We were there a few days ago at lunchtime and no one collapsed... We made a reservation, but then stood around like counterfeit money for 20 minutes and were then asked why we were standing there like that. Then we just sat down somewhere. Unfortunately, hello and goodbye/goodbye are not possible during lunch rush. The food is excellent for that

Went to this restaurant because it was close by and we could sit outside. We later found out that both the chef and the waitress came from very good restaurants. We had 3 different dishes, all of which were very good. We'll definitely be back.

For the ambience you would actually have to split the rating: great on the outside and rather a flop on the inside. In summer it's a wonderful place to sit under the plane trees on Weißenburgstrasse - almost only old buildings. Very idyllic. So 5 stars!!! Unfortunately I can't go inside at all. Uncomfortable and old-fashioned. The kitchen performance is solid. Bread could be fresher if you tried to get a small set of delicious herb quark in advance. The menu was more creative 10 years ago - there were more unusual salad combinations, for example - but the great location under the plane trees makes up for it all. Good homemade lemonades, a bit too sweet. The service was 1a. Fast and friendly.

I usually visit the restaurant at lunchtime. There is a good selection on the lunch menu, and a so-called "quick lunch" is also offered during the week, i.e. a daily changing offer of lunch with espresso or a scoop of ice cream for dessert. A nice atmosphere inside and out. The service is very good. There is one star less for the food because the quick lunch is usually repeated on the same days and there is no variety. However, the quality is great :)

Der Munternachersaft aus frischen gepressten Zitrusfrüchten und naturtrübem Apfelsaft war einfach ein Genuss, genauso wie das Müsli mit frischen Früchten.

Das Restaurant ist klein, aber gemütlich. Die Speisekarte ist überschaubar, bietet dafür aber interessante und spannende Sachen. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und aufmerksam, ist aber auch kreativ. Das vegetarische Gericht wurde mir hingestellt, meine weibliche Begleitung erhielt das vegane Gericht- dabei hatte ich mich ausnahmsweise mal für die vegane Variante entschieden. Das ist nicht schlimm und lässt sich schnell selber durch den Tellertausch beheben. Ernsthafte Abzüge gibt es, weil der Tisch zwar abgeräumt und somit dür uns erkennbar frei, aber nicht abgewischt war. Die Toiletten sind sauber und gepflegt, allerdings auch recht schmal. Parkplätze in der Nähe sind knapp bemessen und zudem an Werktagen, also montags bis samstags, kostenpflichtig mit Parkschein. November 2023

Spitzenlokal! Ich war Ende September 2023 mit einer größeren Gruppe dort und habe mich sauwohl gefühlt. Kleine Speisekarte, aber top und vernünftige Preise. Alle waren mehr als zufrieden. Urige, gemütliche Location / tolles Ambiente. Aber vor Allem: tolles Team! Immer auf Zack - volles Haus - und super emphatisch... Ich komme wieder 🥰

Wir waren spontan im Restaurant. Das Restaurant bietet viel Platz. Der Service ist der aufmerksam und freundlich. Man fühlt sich schnell wohl. Die Kinder haben sich auch sehr wohl gefühlt und ihre Essenswünsche wurden entgegen genommen. Sehr schön, dass auf individuelle Kinderwünsche eingegangen werden kann. Super für Kinder, die nicht nur Pommes und Nuggets wollen. Denn hier kann jedes Gericht als Kindergericht serviert werden. Klasse.

Gutes Essen und freundlicher Service. Einrichtung würde ich als modern gemütlich bezeichnen. Preise sind in Ordnung und die Karte ist vielzeitig. Insgesamt auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

Sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Das Essen allerdings allenfalls durchschnittlich, die Bratkartoffeln waren extrem fettig und das "Roastbeef" war leider keines!

Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt und der Kellner war sehr freundlich. Das Preis-und Leistungsverhältnis passen. Wir saßen draußen und da am Sonntag kaum Verkehr auf der vorbei führenden Straße herrschte war dies sehr angenehm.

Nachtrag zur Reaktion des Restaurants: Abgekühlte Eierspeise hatte ich angemerkt, Reaktion war ein lapidares „Sorry“! Ansonsten zeigt mir Ihre Antwort, dass auch Sie keine kundenorientierte Haltung vertreten. Maschinen wünscht hier niemand, aber private Probleme am Gast ablassen auch nicht. Viel Erfolg weiterhin! War seit längerer Zeit mal wieder hier. Frühstück war solide, aber nichts besonderes. Die pochierten Eier leider bereits komplett abgekühlt. Die Servicekraft höflich-routiniert, aber leider ausgesprochen unpersönlich. Ich finde es schade, wenn man bei der Aufnahme der Bestellung oder beim Servieren konsequent am Gast vorbeischaut und auch nicht den Hauch eines Lächelns zeigen kann. Habe mich jedenfalls nicht wirklich willkommen gefühlt. Schade.

Der schönste Ort im Agnesviertel!

Habe mit meiner Tante zusammen an einem Vormittag um 11:45 Uhr die Lokalität Weissenburg besucht. Als ich freundlich gefragt hatte, ob man denn noch Frühstücken kann, bekam ich sofort die Antwort nein mitgeteilt. Es sei schließlich schon Mittagszeit ! Meine Aussage darauf hin war: Oh, seit wann dass denn ? Müsste aber dann neu sein. Keine 10 sec. später reichte mir die Angestellte mit langen schwarzen leicht gelockten Haaren die Frühstückskarte und meinte ohne sich zu entschuldigen, dass wir nun doch noch Frühstücken könnten. Aber nur bis 12:30 Uhr. Aber in einem Ton, was wir überhaupt nicht gewohnt waren. Als wir dann das Frühstück bekamen, hatte ich ein langes schwarzes Haar auf meinem Rührei. Was mal passieren kann ! . . - ) Hatte dann nach einer Scheibe Toast bzw. Weißbrot gefragt. Aber es hieß dann, man könne mir höchstens ein Brötchen anbieten. Dieses habe ich auch bestellt, nur musste ich gut 10min auf dieses Brötchen warten, da es aufgewärmt werden musste. Zum Schluss habe ich nach der Rechnung gefragt und sofort mitgeteilt, dass ich mit Karte zahlen müsse. Darauf hin wurde gleich mit der Nase gerümpft. Entschuldigung, aber ich wohne keine 70 Meter von dieser Lokalität entfernt und kenne dieses Restaurant seit Beginn d.h. seit 1992 als erst der Andreas und anschl. der Jam diese Lokalität geführt hatten. Sind auch immer gerne gekommen, aber so einen Service wie neulich geht gar nicht. Das es z.Z. äußerst schwierig ist, was die Personalpolitik in der Gastronomie angeht ist ja nichts neues, aber man kann dennoch freundlich sein. MfG

Meine absolute Empfehlung. Wir haben unser Office in der Nähe und sind öfter mal da. Hier findet man eine grundsolide Gastronomie mit sehr leckerem Essen, freundlichem Service und einer sehr hübschen Außengastronomie. Auf Wünsche wird gerne eingegangen und ob es ein Mittagessen oder ein schneller Business-Kaffee ist, man fühlt sich willkommen!

Das Frühstück war wirklich sehr lecker. Für Kölner Verhältnisse sehr ruhige und schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten draußen.

Essen ganz gut, Ambiente toll, aber Service wirkte leicht genervt und auch nicht so besonders kinderfreundlich:/. Und der Zusatz auf der Speisekarte, diese sei kein Kinderspielzeug wirkt nicht besonders einladend. Schade

Als Stammgast habe ich meine Besuche aufgrund der ewig gleichen Karte reduziert. Abwechslung gibt es leider nur über den Mittagstisch. Bitte bringt mehr Abwechslung in die Hauptkarten(Mittag/Abend). Denn was ihr macht, macht ihr bis auf die Salate gut!

Man findet in Köln Restaurants in denen man freundlicher behandelt wird. Als Tourist habe ich hier keinen guten Eindruck vom ach so fröhlichen Köln bekommen. Schade.

Größere, friedliche Gruppen (20 Personen) sind nicht gewünscht. Wir wurden nett "herausgebeten", der Service war gestresst und echt unfreundlich - und das, obwohl der Laden fast leer war.

Der Burger mit den Kartoffeln war fantastisch und auch die Vorspeisesuppe mit Mais und Chilli einfach der Hit!

Eine tolle Eckkneipe um sich mit Freunden zu treffen. Es gibt drinnen und draußen Sitzgelegenheiten. Wir fanden das Essen sehr lecker (Flammkuchen und ein Currylinsen Gericht).
