Restaurant Weissenburg in Köln

It's a nice place to eat even if the menu needs more variation. During Christmas and other holidays is usually full, so you might need to reserve in advance.

We were short on time, so we only had soup and a Kölsch. The service was very friendly, the food was delicious, and the Kölsch was, of course, excellent too.

We had a wonderful dinner on Sunday at the Weissenburg. They served delicious goose with excellent red cabbage and fantastic dumplings. The only downside was that the service was a bit overwhelmed.

The lights in the backyard give you an almost Christmassy feeling, and the music and the atmosphere in the building are warm and pleasant.

We visited the Weissenburg quite spontaneously on Saturday. The food was good and plentiful, but our highlight was our cheerful, upbeat waiter...quick, friendly, and always ready with a friendly remark. Nice neighborhood restaurant!

A great visit to "Die Weissen Burg"! The food was outstanding – the plates were not only visually appealing, but also a delight to taste. I particularly enjoyed the fresh salad with cucumbers and tomatoes, combined with the crispy fried potatoes and fried egg. The delicious side dish was the perfect finishing touch. The tarte flambée was also a highlight – creamy, aromatic, and wonderfully crispy. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere very pleasant. Highly recommended – I'd love to come back!

A corner pub on the edge of the neighborhood with outdoor seating. In addition to the à la carte menu, there's usually an ambitious daily special at a reasonable price.

Here, you can only enjoy the good beers and eat tarte flambée. The rest is so-so.

I like your Weißenburg. It's a bit simpler than the nearby shacks in the lovely Agnesviertel. Nice selection of dishes, and the wine list isn't to be sniffed at either. The value for money is still good here. Super friendly team (July 25).

Delicious food, reasonable prices

Hello everyone, We were on our way to our river cruise and wanted to grab a bite to eat beforehand. We discovered the Weissenburg restaurant by chance. We really liked the restaurant's ambiance. Small, well-arranged tables made the most of a relatively small space, see restroom. The food was also very tasty and, with the soup starter, was comparatively inexpensive. We really enjoyed it here and will definitely come back next time we're in Cologne.

We stopped by as a hiking group with 16 people, and everyone was thrilled. As the group leader, I liked how easy it was to make my reservation. Since I can never predict what people will eat, or whether they'll eat, it wasn't a problem at all. The drinks service worked perfectly; each table shared the food. We had two tables, and the best part: everyone enjoyed it! For that, we give it 5 stars.

It was really nice here. The weather cooperated and we were able to sit outside. A cold Kölsch, delicious goulash soup and a really tasty burger. Very nice service and actually everything is almost completely smooth. What wasn't so good doesn't matter and is therefore not mentioned here. We'd love to come back when we're in the area again.

After two visits to Weissenburg, it is clear that it is worth visiting here more often. Whether potato salad with lamb meatball, tortilla, tarte flambée or the sometimes exceptional draft beers make a visit worthwhile, as does the friendly service.

We ate there on Wednesday during my husband's lunch break with our baby in the stroller and both ate the lunch dish: pulled pork burger with Weissenburg fries and coleslaw. The food was super delicious!!! The soft drink with lavender was also delicious! The waitresses were all super friendly and the service was top notch. At the end we had a cappuccino. The price-performance ratio was great! We'll be back! There was also a small changing area (on the ladies' toilet). The stroller could easily be parked next to the table.

The pumpkin and zucchini quiche was delicious. Unfortunately it was very loud in the restaurant.

Wir hatten per online gebucht und waren 5 Personen. Dann haben wir einen Tisch in Eingangsnahe bekommen. Das war nicht optimal. Jedes Mal wenn jemand das Restaurant betrat, war es kalt. Eigentlich sollte es ein gemütliches Essen werden, der Anlass war ein 50. Geburtstag. Ich kannte die Weissenburg. Das Essen war in Ordnung, nur die Sosse zum Schnitzel war zu pappig. Die hatte ich mit etwas Sahne verlängert, sie wäre geschmeidiger und auch geschmacklich besser.

One of the most beautiful restaurants in the city for us. Eating is always a pleasure and the menu changes regularly. Beautiful location and super nice staff. Jacky and Mae regularly sweeten our evenings there. Always and gladly come back. An absolute recommendation in the Agnesviertel!

Flying Dinner. The individual courses were really very tasty. But the times between courses were a bit too long for me. But basically a recommendation.

I was extremely surprised, I have to admit. It sounded good, but I wasn't expecting much more than to be satisfied. But I have to say, everything (3 dishes for me, plus one that I tried at someone else's) was really very well seasoned. That alone puts this restaurant above most others. Highly recommended!

Food is great, unfortunately the service is not that friendly P.s.: We were there a few days ago at lunchtime and no one collapsed... We made a reservation, but then stood around like counterfeit money for 20 minutes and were then asked why we were standing there like that. Then we just sat down somewhere. Unfortunately, hello and goodbye/goodbye are not possible during lunch rush. The food is excellent for that

Went to this restaurant because it was close by and we could sit outside. We later found out that both the chef and the waitress came from very good restaurants. We had 3 different dishes, all of which were very good. We'll definitely be back.

Uncomfortable and old-fashioned. The kitchen performance is solid. Bread could be fresher if you tried to get a small set of delicious herb quark in advance. The menu was more creative 10 years ago - there were more unusual salad combinations, for example - but the great location under the plane trees makes up for it all. Good homemade lemonades, a bit too sweet. The service was 1a. Fast and friendly.

I usually visit the restaurant at lunchtime. There is a good selection on the lunch menu, and a so-called "quick lunch" is also offered during the week, i.e. a daily changing offer of lunch with espresso or a scoop of ice cream for dessert. A nice atmosphere inside and out. The service is very good. There is one star less for the food because the quick lunch is usually repeated on the same days and there is no variety. However, the quality is great :)
