Restaurant Wawel in Berlin

Geheimtipp: Wer vor der Gaststätte Wawel steht, dessen Terrasse an einen Imbiss am Badesee erinnert, wird sich wundern hier hervorragende Pierogi zu bekommen; nicht nur gekocht, sondern zudem angebraten. Hier weiß man, was ein gutes Gericht ausmacht. Was ein wenig Warten darauf, die Zeit definitiv wert ist. Vielen Dank! Gern wieder.

Uriges Restaurant Getränke und Speisen auf Tschechien ausgerichtet. Alles was wir probiert haben war sehr lecker. Wir haben alle hellen und dunkle 🍺 Biere probiert in den 11 Tagen. Unsere Bedienung waren sehr flott unterwegs. Immer im Auge des Kunden. Und können das Restaurant sehr empfehlen.

Ich war heute mit meinen Sohn dort. Etliche Male bin ich bereits vorbeigefahren aber entweder ich hatte kein Bargeld oder das Restaurant war zu. Heute hat es also geklappt und ich fand es echt nett! Der/Das Bigos war super lecker (haben es uns geteilt) und ich werde hoffentlich bald noch weitere Gerichte probieren. Der bedienende Herr war auch sehr sympathisch. Ales total unprätentiös und absolut unstylisch...sehr angenehm!

Wir waren zum Mittagessen mit 15 Personen dort gewesen, haben mehrere verschiedene Gerichte bestellt, nicht lange darauf gewartet, diese sind sehr reichlich und schön angerichtet. Alle waren begeistert.....Toller Service, tiptop Preis ...Wir werden wiederkommen...Vielen Dank!!!

Das Essen war super lecker, die Preise waren sehr angenehm. Und die Bedienung sehr freundlich.

Schöne Lage im Grünen von außen, aber leider nicht ansprechend und einladend gestaltet. Eine leichte Änderung der Gerichte, D.h. Den Spargel ohne Fleisch zu bestellen, war leider nicht möglich. Die Speisekarte war schon sehr abgegriffen Folien ohne Inhalt und der Service dementsprechend nicht entgegenkommt und freundlich. Schade.

Ausgezeichnetes gutes Essen, empfehlenswert

Hast Du Lust, mal etwas anderes zu essen? Dann bist Du hier richtig. Es gibt polnisches Essen, hausgemachte Küche. Es begann mit einer freundlichen Begrüßung durch die Chefin. Getränke wie gewohnt und dann leckeres Essen, das man nicht jeden Tag hat. Die Suppe vorneweg (ich habe mir den Namen nicht merken können) ähnelte einer Kartoffelsuppe mit Wurststücken, herzhaft leicht säuerlich gewürzt. Prima. Als Hauptgericht Schweinegulasch eingeschlagen in einem herzhaften Kartoffelpuffer, dazu ein großer Berg Krautsalat. Perfekt und anders als deutsches Essen. Ein Dessert passte leider nicht, obwohl wir uns die Suppe schon geteilt hatten. Es hätte Mohnkuchen mit heißen Kirschen und Schlagsahne gegeben. Wie schade, dass ich das verpasst habe. Die Speisekarte gibt noch viel mehr her. Also kommen wir wieder. Eine Reservierung macht Sinn, ist aber nicht zwingend. Ruhige Tische gibt es drin und im Freien. Wer nicht mit dem Auto, Bus oder BVG-Fähre vorfahren möchte, läuft einfach durch den Treptower Park ab S-Bahnhof. Dann ist auch der richtige Hunger da.

Es ist kein Restaurant, aber wenn Sie wie in Polen speisen und polnische Gerichte probieren möchten, kann ich es empfehlen.

Wir haben in dem Restaurant unsere Weihnachtsfeier [ 41 Personen ] gefeiert. Unsere Erwartungen wurden sehr schnell übertroffen. Das Essen, die Zubereitung sowie Bedienung lobenswert. Das Essen war frisch und perfekt zubereitet. Alle waren zufrieden und wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Ich kann es JEDEM weiterempfehlen. Sie treffen jeden Geschmack sowie jeden Kulturkreis. I was craving Polish cuisine, and I wasn't disappointed. It was delicious. The service was super friendly. I highly recommend it.

A perfect spot to eat after a stroll in Treptower Park (or before). The ambiance isn't the most elegant compared to more upscale restaurants, but the incredibly friendly staff and excellent food easily make up for that. The menu isn't extensive, but it shines with the quality of its delicious dishes. Generous portions at fair prices. I've been here three times so far and will definitely go again.

Plenty of tasty, predominantly Polish food at a very reasonable price considering the current situation. Friendly staff, suitable for larger groups and a welcoming atmosphere.

I ate there with my family a while ago. I'd been looking for a Polish restaurant for a while and was happy to have found one nearby. When we were there, I have to admit that the ambiance made me feel rather spartan. I didn't really feel comfortable. The service was very friendly, I really can't say anything negative. I had the feeling the lady there was a bit overwhelmed. I only saw her there, and when she disappeared into the kitchen or at least behind the counter, it seemed like she didn't come forward for a while. Okay, now for the food. I'm not entirely sure what I ordered that time. I think it was Zurek. And then I think there was a second course. But what my family and I ate was okay, but I've had much better and tastier Polish food. I was very, very disappointed. Bardzo Bardzo szkoda. (What a pity) Since I'm very picky about Polish food from my home country, I unfortunately can't and won't go there again, and I can't recommend it. But you should form your own opinion, because, as the saying goes, tastes differ. As for the price, I found it overpriced for what I was served. And I found the portion a bit too small. Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly how much I spent per person, so I can't say anything more about that. As I said, this is my opinion.

The very friendly waitress gave us a table even though the kitchen was already closed. We hurried to choose, but on our own initiative, not because she was pushing us. The soups, beetroot and a sour rye soup, were simply perfect. I added a little more salt to the main course, but that's a matter of personal preference, and that's why the salt is on the table. Nevertheless, the main courses were very well prepared, and both the roulades and the pierogi were homemade. Overall, a definite recommendation; we'd be happy to go back anytime!

I went there with friends after a lovely walk along the Spree. Since the weather was perfect, we sat outside on the terrace and enjoyed the ambiance. The service was very quick and friendly. And the food was plentiful (everyone was full) and, above all, DELICIOUS. Even my aunt from Upper Silesia wouldn't have had anything to complain about with the bigos, which I was looking forward to ;) I'll be back!

The food is more German than Polish. This isn't true Polish cuisine. What's served as pierogi isn't pierogi at all. The complete lack of soups makes it hard to call it a Polish restaurant. It's a shame.

Great restaurant, very friendly staff. Everything is home-cooked and tastes really good.

We like to go there for something to eat after a walk. This time mine wasn't quite as tasty: a grilled plate, two slices of meat and half a bratwurst (too expensive for that). Should have stuck with the pork or beef roulade instead. 😋 Service was friendly and nice as always. 👌 The outside area needs a makeover; there are a lot of chairs missing. 👎

The 90s atmosphere. Food...don't think that's what Polish cuisine tastes like, because that's a misunderstanding. A cutlet like a slipper, the fries were probably stewed in a pan, the cake was probably a week old...

First of all, the food was really good, a good amount at a fair price. Unfortunately, I personally don't think the menu is particularly good anymore. It used to be much better and featured more "Polish specialties." Sometimes I think the decor is more of a problem, and the table was too heavily covered with tablecloths for my liking.

Very friendly staff and good food! 3 stars instead of the actual 4 ☆ for the following reason: Firstly, I had hoped for more from the pierogi and found it inappropriate that my glass of tap water cost €2.50?! It's one thing that it costs money. But 1.) informing guests about this when ordering, and 2.) €2.50 is completely excessive for 200ml of Berliner Wasser... I'm writing it here so that maybe someone will reconsider. Then you'd be happy to order a beer with it on a hot summer day.

Excellent quality food, and a truly friendly staff! Polish restaurants are simply too rare. You can definitely go here and you won't regret it. Hopefully, they'll have zurek on the menu again next time. You can sit comfortably outside in a quiet environment. Everything was great.

Wonderful natural view available. You can enjoy chilly evening here with best coffee and pizza. Interior is also good. People who prefers large area caffe should visit here. Staff is also friendly and good hearted.

We discovered the restaurant by chance and had lunch. Very tasty pierogi with salad on the side. Plentiful and good. Very nice hospitality. We repeat that.

Well -located restaurant, which is also a club restaurant from the tennis club based there. Accessible to the public but also from the street. It impresses with its freshly prepared dishes, the freshness of which you can see and taste. The good service rounds off every visit.

Addendums from July 2017 and January 2025: After the Wawel in Neukölln closed on July 1, 2017, we have now found the Wawel restaurant in Baumschulenweg with Polish and German cuisine online and are looking forward to going there soon. outdated review from June 2017: Wawel serves delicious German and Silesian dishes. The service is very attentive and friendly.

Go to Poland or visit Wawel same thing great food and friendly people! Time has stopped here somewhere in the late 80’s early 90’s the food is homemade with love and talent!

My rating is really not an exaggeration, we had our baptism there for 30 people, the owners are incredibly hospitable, nice, communicated well with us and offered us great things in return, the waiters were always on site and there was never anything missing at the tables (Food, drinks, candles☺️) very good Polish food, there's a lot of it left over, so if you want to eat Polish and want a great location for events, you definitely have to go💐 Best regards, Artur

Ordered a table for Wednesday on Tuesday and then the restaurant wasn't open. The whole family spontaneously had to look for something else. Dear Wawel team, that was really not ok. PS: Reaction to owner's reply: Please always remain objective and don't get mushy! First of all, they aren't open 24/7. And on the other hand, the illness doesn't seem to stop her from responding in the way she did. Then next time instead of answering, write something about the circumstances on social media or on your homepage.

Expected more. We also have a Polish restaurant in Bonn, a difference between day and night. Wait a long time for the first drink. Food leaves a lot to be desired. I don't have to have it again.

Owner does not update opening hours. I spent 1 hour in public transport to be informed that they are closing 2 hours earlier. Unbelievable. When I explained the owner, that he could update the opening hours, he said that he doesn’t care and he doesn’t have anything to do with google. (Edited) Because of the below lies, I decided to response. We have been there much earlier. It was about 6 PM. Second owner was super rude. Such person should never have restaurant and deal with clients.

The one service employee on site was very helpful. Unfortunately she had no strength, no support and had to entertain all the guests alone!!! The owner selected us (birthday party) after a 2-hour stay and asked us in a rather unfriendly manner to clear the tables! It doesn't work at all! You can certainly discuss this in advance and communicate clearly. All in all, unfortunately it doesn't quite do justice to the price/performance ratio! Then there's the unfriendly owner... what a shame!!!! We're definitely not coming back! Ps. Violent...that afterwards you are so and obviously insulted by constructive criticism!!! We never spoke in person!!!! I was a guest on the sidelines who noticed everything! But it's sad that one is publicly insulted with lack of standard! I doubt the intelligence of the owner if he has no idea about service and hospitality and cannot accept criticism as a solution for improvement! Too bad and sad! Obviously he doesn't need the money from paying guests. VG

Small restaurant attached to a tennis court. But they are separate from each other. Very nice staff, good cuisine. The Spree is within sight and Treptower Park can be reached quickly.

The food is like Mom's, only better garnished and with a better salad that wasn't over-seasoned, drowned in dressing or otherwise unpleasant in any way. I had bigos. A dream! Unfortunately the potatoes were sour. Meaning they were old. To do this I had to eat my schnitzel with a grease knife. And very expensive for the location. Unfortunately not recommended

Witam jedzenie okropne wręcz katastrofalne. Kotlety schabowe suche bigos kwasny i bez mięsa, sałatka warzywna kwasna nawet bym powiedziała że stara przeterminowana, wódka pol litra 50 euro(krupnik)1 litr coli 10 euro. Nie polecam tej restauracji. Właściciel opryskliwy.

Bardzo dobre domowe polskie obiady . Polecam serdecznie miła przyjazna obsługa . Miła atmosfera w środku restauracji jak i na zewnątrz. Bardzo mi smakuje jedzonko tam.

Страву на грилі я б не рекомендувала : один шматочок м’яса був в дивному маринаді, але добре, що хоч інший шматок був смачний. Сосиска була не дуже хороша на смак. Та ще й її була всього половина. Це виглядало дивно. Журек і штрудель були хороші. Недолік, що розрахунок тільки готівкою.

Essen hat gemundet und der Service war sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Klare Empfehlung.

Wir sind durch Zufall auf diese Gaststätte aufmerksam geworden, und waren total begeistert. Der Wirt war sehr nett und die Pirogen in 3 verschiedenen warianten waren toll. Auch das Schnitzel war super. Wir kommen gern wieder.

It was my first time trying homemade Pierogies and they were delicious. The lady serving us was super nice too. Highly recommended if you like Polish cuisine or even if you have never tried it

Ich war dort das erste mal und war angenehm Überrascht. Die Speisen schmecken wirklich so wie in Polen. Der Kellner ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Ein Nettes Restaurant versteckt am Wald. Werde öfters kommen.

Ich bin mit meiner Tochter das erste mal in diesem Restaurant, das erste und das letzte mal, das Essen war ungewürzt, Gemüse verkocht, Kartoffelpüree ohne Geschmack, Kalbsleber nicht wirklich gut teilweise sauer.
