Restaurant Wanfu in Ettlingen

I've eaten at Wanfu Restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. The food is good and tasty, the service is friendly, but it gets very noisy when many tables are occupied. Some sound-dampening material (e.g., fabric) in the dining area could reduce the noise level.

Yes, it's okay. Taste was average. Prices are up. Waited quite a while for the food. Review refers to dinner. €20-30 for a meal with a drink...phew.

Indescribably bad service. Absolutely unprofessional!! I've never been treated so rudely in a restaurant before. The waiters exude absolute unfriendliness. This is something you can tolerate, as long as the food is good. The dishes were good, although anything but cheap compared to regional standards. BUT: The exceptionally rude attitude of the owners (or employees?) is beyond reproach. An example: We would like an appetizer (spring rolls – listed under appetizer on the menu). The answer: No! The kitchen only "fires up" once, so we order everything together. No "please" or anything like that. Second: Order immediately! The kitchen doesn't serve anything after 9:30 p.m. (Saturday evening). Very, very unpleasant, especially when you're treated so disparagingly when you're with someone. Recommendation: Avoid this "restaurant"!!

I've been going there for years and will continue to do so in the future. They serve wonderful sushi as well as other, diverse Asian dishes.

The hospitality in the shop is outstanding, and you feel very welcome. The food was also delicious.

Nice service and good food, lunch costs over 10€ and the portions are relatively small, but it tastes good and you can sit comfortably.

Stopped by for a quick lunch while passing through. The food was served in no time (less than 10 minutes, including the appetizer). Everything was very well prepared, the vegetables weren't overcooked, and it was warm and fresh to eat. The Szechuan-style chicken could have been a bit spicier, but that's a matter of taste. All in all, a solid visit; if I'm in the area again, I'll stop there again.

I don't think the price-performance ratio is right, far too expensive. The portions are rather small. The service is very nice, but when it comes to the end of the day, people no longer ask if they can have something to drink. There are better ones in the area.

Became quite expensive. Paid over €80 for the two of us - we got it much cheaper last year. Price/performance no longer suits us. The service wasn't very attentive and unfortunately seemed disinterested and fake friendly. Nothing more for us! Luckily we found a great alternative in Durmersheim.

I've been a regular customer for years, they cater very well to allergies and intolerances and gluten-free is no problem. Food is very fresh and good!

Sushi is inexpensive, but often too rice-heavy. The fish is mid. The place is often too loud and crowded, but the service is always friendly and there are respectable waiting times

I went for lunch on a rainy day and was happy to see the opening notice clearly visible from outside. Even shortly before the end of lunch time, I received friendly service without any stress. price-performance ratio is good. The food tastes good, the portion is a bit too small. The plates are not preheated - so the food cools down faster. vegetarian is of course. In the cold season the room could be better heated and - if you don't sit by the window - seems a bit dark - for my taste.

Went to Wanfu more often, sometimes at lunchtime, sometimes in the evening. The food has always been delicious.

The restaurant is cozy, the food tastes good, and at lunchtime the prices are a little cheaper than usual. The cozy terrace outside is particularly nice. However, I think it's a shame that fried noodles to take away cost €15 - compared to other places, that's quite a lot.

We received a very friendly welcome and were able to get a table outside. Ordered starters and two main courses twice and received the two soups quite promptly. After a reasonable wait, James then served our main courses, once fried rice noodles with vegetables and silken tofu as well as chicken with vegetables and curry sauce. Both meals were very attractively prepared and tasted really, really good. Attention, for non-spicy eaters, if it says spicy on the menu, then it is. All in all a successful lunch. We'll be back. No pictures due to hunger. Next time I'll make some. The price/performance ratio is right, especially since all the dishes are freshly prepared, there is nothing from the frozen food counter here.

Ended up here as it was close to the hotel. Pleasant surprise. Great food and ditto service. We had sushi. But I’m now sorry we have to leave today as I can’t sample the Chinese dishes. Greatly recommend.

Immer wieder gutes Essen, Portionen vielleicht bisschen weniger, was fehlt ist bisschen mehr Gemüse, auch , wenn Gemüse teuerer wurde, kann man bei dem Preis, der jetzt bleiben sollte dies sagen, ansonsten alle nett, schnell, freundlich, vor allem sauber und man schmeckt was man isst. Dieses Lokal sollte man mehr unterstützen und die Personen, die zufrieden sind, unbedingt weiter empfehlen

I have been coming to this restaurant for 4 years now when I come to Ettlingen for work. The food is very good. My favorite dishes there are miso soup, sushi and crispy chicken with noodles. I always come back 😊

Das Lokal liegt zentral, Parkplätze vorm Lokal. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Die Speisenauswahl ist vielfältig. Das Essen war gut und schön anzusehen. Preis-Leistung ist in Ordnung.

Food was amazing, very good friendly service, English speaking with a menu in English as well. Short wait time for food and fairly quiet - though that might have been due to it being mid January at 19:30.

We had a family celebration and therefore there were also small children present. This also encouraged some adults to behave in a childlike, i.e. not very quiet, manner. This would be accepted very patiently. Basically it is more of an adult restaurant. The food came quickly and tasted very good. You can also sit together in groups. There is also a separate room for smaller family celebrations. Drinks: Of course there is almost everything you know. But what is remarkable is the very good tea in very different variations.

Sushi is really tasty (tempura sushi), special requests are taken into account. Dessert very small portions for the price, but still very tasty! We'd love to come back.

Interestingly, there is also good sushi. Preparation time may be a bit long.

Wir waren abends zu viert im Restaurant Wanfu. Die Bedienung war durchgehend sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir hatten zuerst die Vorspeisenplatte für 4 Personen und vier verschiedene Hauptgerichte. Alles hat sehr gut geschmeckt, war frisch zubereitet und sehr gut portioniert- nicht zu viel und nicht zu wenig. Alle Zutaten waren frisch und geschmacklich super. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Essen hat abgebaut leider und man darf sich nicht mehr unterhalten weil man angeblich zu laut ist absolutes no Go. Wenn am Nebentisches gefeiert wird also bitte. Leider hat die Tochter mich aufgefordert leiser zu sein obwohl wir sehr leise waren naja hat sich erledigt Werden mich nach 20 Jahren (bambusgarten) nicht mehr sehen selbst schuld

Fantastic duck and good coconut curry chick. Die Ente Vorspeise sind fantastisch und der Hähnchen Curry ist gut.

Essen hat super geschmeckt. Personal könnte freundlicher sein.

Ontvangst en bediening was niet erg vriendelijk. Beperkt menu voor een chinees restaurant. Gebakken rijst en noodles met crispy chicken bleek gebakken rijst en noodles met een soort gehakte Wiener snitzel te zijn. Moet dat fusion cooking voorstellen? Porties waren erg klein en erg zout. Eten was de hoge prijs niet waard. Aan de overkant nog een broodje kebab gehaald om niet met een half lege maag naar bed te gaan.

Sehr leckeres Asia-Restaurant. Wir hatten Sushi als Vorspeise und ein Hauptmenü aus dem Wok, hat uns alles sehr gut geschmeckt.

Sehr nette Bedienung. Große Sushiauswahl. Leider war die Speisekarte sonst eher überschaubar. Die Qualität vom Essen war Top!

Das Wanfu bietet hervorragendes Essen an. Alles wird frisch, lecker und schonend zubereitet. Und unglaublich ansprechend angerichtet. In dem Inhabergeführten Lokal wird man als Gast sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient. Im Sommer gibt es auch Sitzplätze in einem kleinen Hof. Eine Reservierung ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Nach Reservierung noch einen Platz im Innenhof erhalten. Der beste Asiate, den ich seit langem besucht habe. Auch das beste Entenfleisch seit langem. Hoffentlich bleibt es so.

Der Innenhof könnte noch etwas schöner/asiatischer gestaltet werden, dann wäre auch das Ambiente perfekt. Auf jeden Fall aber esse ich hier zum Nachtisch immer die gebackenen Bananen 🍌😋

Wir waren spontan zum Abendessen dort und waren total begeistert. Nachdem wir endlich einen kostenlosen Parkplatz in der Nähe gefunden hatte - Parkplätze selbst hat das Restaurant nämlich nicht waren wir schnell von der Location begeistert. Das Restaurant ist in einem kleinen Hinterhof versteckt, der eher unscheinbar und schlicht wirkt. Das Personal ist super freundlich und war schnell am Tisch. Ich selbst kann vor allem die Homemade Drinks empfehlen und habe das gelbe Curry mit gebratenen Hühnchen gegessen. Verdammt lecker und Preiswert. Wären wir nicht nur für eine Geschäftsreise hier, würden wir öfter kommen.

Wenn die Mini Frühlingsrollen zur Vorspeise lieblos auf Plastikgeschirr serviert werden, vergeht einem direkt der Appetit … Auch der Hauptgang (diesmal kam der Reis in einem Plastikgefäss) konnte mich nicht überzeugen. Genauso wenig das nicht vorhandene Ambiente (bei den Blumen auf den Tischen sollte mal dringend das übel riechende Wasser getauscht werden) und die fehlende Freundlichkeit des Personals.

Das Essen ist geschmacklich in Ordnung ohne besondere Authentizität. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals lässt zu wünschen übrig, Bestellungen gehen verloren.

Lecker, Gute Auswahl, solide Qualität. bestellen meistens zu dritt und es ist immer für jeden was dabei! Sushi nicht schlecht, mehr Fischauswahl wäre toll… und wenn das Inari-Sushi wieder auf der Karte stünde 😌😌😌😅

Wo fange ich an? 3 versch. Bedienungen, als Vorspeise gedämpfte Garnelen in Teigtaschen. Bekommen habe ich 4 Matschdinger auf Krabbenchips. Zur Hauptspeise "knuspriges" Huhn (Thai.. hahaha!) in "gelber Kokoscurry" Soße mit Koriander bla bla. Stattdessen halb frittiertes Huhn in einer einfach nur scharfen Soßenplörre, zum x-ten mal mit Wasser und Sahne gestreckt und dazu ein klein wenig Reis. Eine Frechheit! Das erste und letzte Mal das ich dort essen war. Meinen 2 Begleitern ging es nicht anders.

Essen ist gut aber nicht authentisch. Ist eben chinesisches Essen für Europäer gekocht.

Lecker , nur etwas fad, ein bisschen mehr Gewürz hätten wir cool gefunden. Gebackene WAN Tan Vorspeise kenne ich etwas anders , aber essbar. Bei den Edamame konnte man nichts falsch machen. Preis Leistung leicht überzogen, aber noch im Rahmen.

Die Gerichte schmecken sehr gut. Auch das Sushi ist ordentlich.

Solides Essen und sehr aufmerksamer Service.

Wir waren anfangs skeptisch da es vergleichsweise teuer wirkt aber das Essen hat uns wirklich überzeugt. Das Sushi wir wunderschön angerichtet und schmeckt unglaublich frisch und lecker. Die Hauptgerichte werden auf Anfrage ohne Probleme angepasst wenn man lieber Ente anstatt Hähnchen mochte oder eine andere Soße bevorzugt. Die hausgemachten Grüntees sind super lecker und frisch. Vom Personal sind wir auch wirklich begeisterst wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und schnell bedient. Das Lokal und der Außenbereich sind schön und gemütlich eingerichtet.

Das Essen ist sehr hochwertig in der Quantität. Besonders zu empfehlen die Peking Suppe sowie die Ente. Von der Menge ordentlich, Reis etwas wenig. Die Bedienung etwas langsam. Auch die Bestellung dauerte in einem nicht überfüllten Restaurant etwas lang. Restaurant nicht typisch asiatisch. Sehr einfach und sehr hell gehalten. Aufgrund der Qualität des Essens doch sehr zu empfehlen. Leider ohne Glückskind bei der Bezahlung. Preislich ok. Beim nächsten Messebesuch kommen wir gerne wiede. Vier von fünf Sternen ****
