I've had a very tasty meal there. The location is also very good. However, unfortunately the service has recently decreased in terms of friendliness and speed... What a shame Edit: unfortunately I have to correct the rating further down. I've been there several times since then because the location is great, but the food (salad) wasn't good and the service remained inattentive. We had to wait constantly even though there wasn't much going on and every time there were flimsy reasons ("colleague forgot")

After walking hungry through the old town on Monday and a restaurant we had previously agreed to unfortunately closed, we decided on Valentino. Admittedly we were a little late and it was a Monday, but we still managed to get a reservation by phone. On site we were greeted very hospitably by the boss and he immediately knew our name, even though one of his employees had received the reservation. We thought to ourselves: OK, the communication here seems to be good. We were assigned a nice table outside and served promptly by the service. My wife - Greek - chose the Calamari Griliata, grilled squid tubes. Basically a classic Mediterranean dish, which is unfortunately often interpreted in a modern way in restaurants. We were excited... when it came to wine, we chose a Sauv from Rheinhessen. The starter - Bruschetta Caprese - was a great start, nice and crispy and gratinated with tender mozzarella. For the main course I had the Tagliatelle alla Chef with wild salmon fillet, crabs and tomato cream sauce and my wife, as I said, had the calamari with potatoes tossed in rosemary. To cut a long story short: my wife was absolutely happy and the classic dish was grilled and prepared to perfection. My noodles were on point and overall very tasty. The second highlight was that we unfortunately ran out of the Sauvignon Blanc. The service kept asking if everything was okay and he offered to swap the Sauvignon Blanc. That wasn't a discussion at all, we got a very tasty Lugana and chatted a bit about wines with the waiter. He then said that we definitely had to try the Chardonnay from Garda later. In short: We had such a lovely, informal evening with attentive staff, delicious food and excellent wines, which ended with a grappa finale. With this in mind, we would like to thank the boss and his entire team once again and of course to the kitchen, which often gets neglected. Keep it up! and we will definitely see each other again.

At the end of our day trip we had dinner at Valentino. The ambience was great - we were able to sit outside at a very nice table. The outside area is directly in front of the restaurant, so pedestrians walk past every now and then, but not many and not very disturbing. The food was very tasty even if it was a bit expensive! You can definitely treat yourself. The waiter and waitress were very nice and accommodating. Special dining requests will be fulfilled! Definitely worth a visit!

That was just great! That was really Italian! We were very satisfied!

Even if I repeat myself - this restaurant is a gem - it's not just the kitchen with exquisite dishes that impresses, but also the mentality and friendliness of the serving staff. It's not for nothing that on a "normal" Thursday the restaurant was already packed at 6 p.m.

Worst restaurant experience in a long time. We had reserved a table for 6 p.m. That had worked so far. But we were then ignored by the service staff. We didn't get a menu nor did anyone come to ask for drinks. After a little over 20 minutes we left again. However, the atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice. Still not this restaurant again.

We were traveling from Austria to Amberg and discovered Valentino by chance. Because we've been wanting to eat good Italian food again for a long time. You have to emphasize that everything is correct there. Es ist einfach traumhaft. Man wird herzlichst empfangen und bedient. Das Essen schmeckt jedes Mal hervorragend. Die Location ist einladend und man fühlt sich direkt sehr wohl. Der Außenbereich im Sommer ist super gemütlich. Ich bin mehrmals im Valentino und bereue es kein einziges Mal. Ganz klare Empfehlung !! Großes Lob an den Kellner Nedo :)

Food is generally not bad. Fish platter was good. Pizza......well. The salami used here is not bad but cruel. There is a kind of sparsalami called cherwelat or something like that. This is also how the salami used tastes. When I think about it, it was the worst pizza I've eaten in a long time. The reason is the bad salami. If I want to eat good pizza, I don't go there anymore.

I can't say anything about the food YET, but I've only heard very good things (hence 5 stars here). But what I can say is that friendliness and helpfulness are very important here. I was walking past with my dog ​​when it suddenly started raining heavily. I was immediately invited in with the offer to sit down and wait out the rain. I got something to drink without asking, as did my dog ​​(without having to pay for it). I'll definitely come back. I have rarely experienced something so nice.

Ate this evening, not understanding German they send me a waitress who understands Italian. I ask him for two plates of rigatoni and show him the price. She tells me ok When it was time to pay the bill it was double so I ask why, they reply that that price is only at midday. So even here in Germany there are smart people..... I've read reviews that say the food is good. But have you eaten in Italy again, it's something else entirely.....

Highly recommended restaurant. The dishes are very tasty. The pizzas in particular are an absolute recommendation. You can also order pizzas that are not on the menu (e.g. Pizza Funghi, just ask the staff). The staff is very friendly and you are served quickly. The price of the restaurant is also very fair. Ambience appropriate.

Nice Italian restaurant with excellent pizza and fantastic tiramisu. The pizza had a very tasty dough including a crispy edge and a delicious, fruity tomato sauce and a good portion of toppings without being overloaded, very tasty! In addition, you get fresh garlic and chilli oil on the table, which you can help yourself to as you wish, it has to be perfect. The tiramisu also seems to have been fresh and homemade, just as it should be and you can taste it. Price performance is also top!

I had just a single night stop in Regensburg while travelling and just searched for food in an unknown city. Fabulous food, attentive personnel, cozy atmosphere. What a jewel I discovered by accident. Thank you Valentino restaurant. You made my tiring travelling much brighter!! It was very busy, so you better make a reservation. You might not be as lucky as I was on Friday evening.

Traditional Italians - have been around for a long time. Freshly renovated, great friendly staff. I would recommend making a reservation, as every seat is quickly gone 😉 Don't overload the menu, everything you know and like is on it and a changing weekly menu

After a long wait we were 3/4 of the way through food, my two starters came when the others were almost finished, they ate extra slowly. I found it rude that their plates were then cleared, because first I had to watch and then I ate alone. The tiramisu came with cherry sauce and was not an Italian recipe overall. We would have liked to drink more, but after constantly having to ask for something, we were slightly annoyed. Finally, we were given a drink of our choice. Host was effusive but not friendly. We heard excuses like “it’s the kitchen’s fault,” which is embarrassing. I don't have to repeat it, prices are borderline.

We've been to Valentino several times now. Every time it was delicious. Not a standard Italian, but really fine and well cooked. We had mini calamari, vegetarian pizza, spaghetti carbonara al forno, insalata Valentino and calamari impanata. All very tasty. Pizza veg was a little bit seasoned. There was a bunch of garlic chili oil on the table. The service is very attentive and friendly. Wishes are gladly fulfilled. We definitely recommend the Valentino and would be happy to come back. Small deduction for cream in tiramisu.

All in all an all round good meal and good service, (slightly forgettable but very friendly) located a bit away from the old town but easily accessible and parking is available.

Wir waren mit 5 Personen zum Abendessen. Der Kellner war freundlich und hatte immer einen lustigen Spruch auf den Lippen. Das Essen, egal ob Pizza, Pasta oder Fisch, war durchweg gelungen und lecker. Das Restaurant ist durchweg empfehlenswert.

Waren aufgrund der guten Bewertung zum ersten mal dort. Das Lokal ist sehr ansprechend, jedoch aufgrund der größe und gutem Besuch ein sehr hoher Lärmpegel im unteren Bereich. Wir hatten jedoch das Glück im oberen Bereich zu sitzen, wo es deutlich angenehmer war. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und man fühlt sich wohl. Zum Essen, wir hatten gegrillte Calamari, ausgezeichnet und sehr zu empfehlen, die Pizza (Meeresfrüchte) war leider nur mittelmässig, Größe eher zu klein, wenn man als Mann doch hungrig ist, und auch der Belag deutlich zu wenig, was dann durch Peperoni und Muscheln versucht wird zu kaschieren.(hier ein Stern Abzug) Aufgrund des hohen Gästeaufkommens war auch die Luft im Restaurant sehr warm und verbraucht, weshalb wir auf den üblichen Kaffee/Espresso lieber verzichtet haben um wieder an die frische Luft zu kommen. Was uns zuletzt gar nicht gefallen hat, es ist natürlich in Ordnung, wenn man gefragt wird, ob man denn zufrieden war, aber hier vom Chef geradezu aufgefordert zu werden, hier eine klasse Bewertung abzugeben um den guten Ruf zu erhalten...keine gute Idee und ich denke, hat das Restaurant auch nicht nötig.(zweiter Stern Abzug)...Fazit: Wer ein gutes, freundliches italienisches Lokal sucht um auch mal ausgezeichnetes Essen zu bekommen findet hier genau das Richtige, wer klassisch Pizza essen gehen möchte, wählt wohl lieber ein anderes Restaurant.

Wir hatten ein ausgezeichnetes Abendessen mit sehr aufmerksamer Bedienung. Hatten Vorspeisen zum Teilen bestellt und gefragt ob wir ein Stück mehr haben möchten damit es besser zum Teilen ist. Insgesamt ein toller Abend. Hatten einen Tisch im Wintergarten was sehr angenehm war.

Yesterday we went to Valentino for the first time with friends from Bielefeld. We were very excited. After a short wait for our table we were brought to it. Unfortunately there was a small mix-up so we had to change tables again. But as compensation we would be treated to a bottle of Prosecco. That was really great and very few restaurants do that!! Top. The food and service were excellent. My personal favorite and tip to everyone is the tiramisu and the fish platter. We are already looking forward to our next visit with you. Best regards

Rated 5 stars on Tripadvisor, best Italian in town. Oh well. Had reserved in advance, 7 people. After we had the nerve to arrive 5 minutes late, we got the answer "the table is already gone". For me it's an absolute nonsense, nobody can influence the traffic or anything like that. Luckily there were only six of us, so we got another table upstairs relatively quickly. The ambience itself was manageable, all the tables were arranged very closely, and overall everything was extremely dark because there was not enough light. You're more likely to get tired than anything else. The food is good, but not better than elsewhere. Looks and unexpected comments from other guests regarding clothing (what comes to mind, coming in a T-shirt) and children present (how come they are children) are skilfully ignored. Really the only bright spot, and the only reason for the two stars, was our waitress, the second, the first was probably busy. Once and never again, if you like chic restaurants, you can eat here.
