This restaurant excludes dogs. And if you want to go to the beer garden, even if the weather is good on Sunday afternoon, it is closed. Even when we asked that we carry our coffee out ourselves, it was not possible to sit there with the dog. So the part of humanity with dogs is unfortunately excluded there and you are not flexible either! (Experience it twice now) What a shame for this wonderful place!

Sometimes you discover places where everything just fits together. The Langwaden Monastery is a place that calmly creeps into your heart and memory. We were there on a sunny afternoon and quickly realized why so many people like to come back. The atmosphere is relaxed, charming and down-to-earth, just right for a little break. Whether you're stopping off after a walk in the area or stopping off on a bike ride, you'll feel welcome here. As soon as you arrive, you notice that many regular guests use the monastery as a regular meeting point. If you come by, you should definitely reserve a table in advance, as it is often busy. No wonder, because the offer is convincing. The prices are fair, the quality is right, and the whole area invites you to linger. I particularly recommend the currywurst, which was surprisingly tasty. A cool drink and a view of the greenery are all you really need. Families are also catered for, as there is a playground nearby where the little ones can let off steam while the adults enjoy the break. Langwaden Monastery not only offers a great place to stop for a break, but also the perfect starting or ending point for a walk or bike ride through the beautiful surroundings. My impression: If you are looking for a place where enjoyment, nature and conviviality come together, you have come to the right place. It's worth stopping by and just enjoying the moment.

I'm a bit conflicted. We always enjoyed going there for a stop after the dog walk. We had already noticed that the owner didn't really like dogs, but we accepted that with a smile because he was generally a bit grumpy. Now, however, the plan is to keep them completely out of the restaurant and beer garden sooner or later. They are STILL allowed to go outside, but the trend is noticeable that they are not welcome. We think that's a shame, but then you don't have to complain about dwindling guests. The dog is now established as a member of the family in more and more families. And he is also a creature of God who likes to go on trips with the family. E-bikes have no soul. I hope that there will be a rethink here, because otherwise I see relatively "black" long-term prospects for this company. Despite the really tasty food and good service, we are already looking at other options. And we used to eat there once or twice a week. And not just us. Can you afford these failures in the long term?

Unfortunately, dogs are no longer welcome in this restaurant. When we asked why, we were told that everything had been renovated. This attitude does not fit at all with the philosophy of this monastery. Older people in the area in particular, who like to stop there for lunch after a walk with their dog, are totally disappointed. When asked whether the dog was still allowed in the beer garden, the answer was "still". What does that mean? Please reconsider this restriction. The monastery is the only restaurant far and wide where dogs are not welcome.

I was there again after years. Everything is beautifully renovated and there is a large beer garden outside. The service is extremely friendly, the food is very good and at absolutely fair prices. We were completely satisfied and will definitely come back. Thank you!

I think potato pancakes are out of the bucket, unfortunately no longer homemade. They used to be tastier. Only on “TUESDAY”! Nice and friendly service and good and tasty food like on the other days.

Beautiful beer garden with delicious food of special quality. Price-performance ratio is right, staff are nice and communicative. The adjacent playground with a number of play equipment, which is fenced in, is particularly great. This means the children can run around and the parents can relax and enjoy the food and drinks nearby. We would love to come back 😊

According to the website, the garden restaurant was supposed to be open, but it wasn't. That was somewhat annoying. We can therefore not say anything about all other points.

We were there in winter, the beer garden was of course closed. Lots of green parakeets are chatting in the park. It's nice to sit inside and the staff is very friendly. The two lattes were great, but a bit too expensive at 4.50. The pumpkin ravioli with feta and turkey breast were very tasty and a lot and €16.80 was reasonable. Duck with two dumplings and red cabbage was also a decent portion, perhaps a little too dry but overall very tasty and reasonably priced at €18.90. Since the entire catering industry struggles with high costs, just 5 stars.

Beautifully decorated for Christmas. The service was kind and with a smile. We tried baked fish and Gulash, both were nicely cooked.

The atmosphere was ok (what could you ask for there), as was the service. The sauce is delicious, the dumplings are convenient (it's ok) But the goose leg... the poor goose leg died at least ten deaths. Fart-tocks

Rustikale Einrichtung, Essen gut und reichlich. Bedienung war sehr zufrieden stellend

Für mich hat der Biergarten sein Flair verloren. Die aus Coronazeiten stammende Zugangsbeschränkung mittels eines Ansperrbandes hat man beibehalten. Obwohl am frühen Nachmittag zahlreiche Tische frei waren, musste man klingeln um eingelassen zu werden. Das finde ich merkwürdig und befremdlich. Der Spielplatz macht einen vernachlässigten Eindruck. Eine vermutlich defekte Schaukel wurde nicht ersetzt. Alles in allem wirkt der Biergarten auf mich nicht mehr einladend. Schade, denn die Lage direkt am Kloster mit tollen altem Baumbestand ist eigentlich sehr schön.

Sehr, lecker und sehr liebes Personal.

Am Vormittag waren wir dort und haben nur etwas getrunken, aber abends sind wir dann noch hingefahren, um etwas zu essen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und kam relativ schnell zu uns an den Tisch.

Nel posto nella natura per rilassarsi e sorgeggiare qualcosa di fresco, cibo davvero ottimo, personale cortese e attento, unica pecca e l orario poiché la cucina del ristorante nei giorni feriali chiude alle 15. 00 è nel fine settimana alle 19.00. Tutto sommato ideale per un bel pranzo con specialità del posto e piatti stagionali. Consigliato

Schöner gut besuchter Biergarten. Ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel oder Pausenstation. Man muss bei schönem Wetter am Wochenende oder Feiertags mit Wartezeit, zur Mittagszeit rechnen. Bei mehr als Vier Personen muss man auf einen größeren Tisch warten. Aber die Bedienung versucht so viel wie möglich die Wünsche umzusetzen. Das Essen ist meiner Meinung nach lecker und Ausreichend. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön. Es ist auch ein kleiner Spielplatz direkt am Biergarten. Da wird es den Kindern nicht langweilig. Auch eine Ladestation für "e-Bikes" ist vorhanden. Also Ladegerät bei einer langen Tour nicht vergessen. Hier kann man pausieren und den Akku nachladen. Toller Service. Und wie es so aussieht wahrscheinlich sogar kostenlos.
