The food was fantastic. The beetroot salad was delicious and while we thought the portion was a bit small, the fish dishes we had were substantial and amazing. Service was good and friendly. I had to ask to add a tip rather than being asked how much I wanted to tip, which I appreciated. Parking was a bit of an issue and you should book a table but we highly recommend The Ferryman. We are sure to return.

One of the best fish restaurants I've ever been to. A small menu with five daily main courses, two appetizers, and one dessert. Both my appetizer (yellowfin tuna ceviche) and the miso redfish main course weren't just good, they were simply perfect! The prices are almost too reasonable for this quality! I'll never leave Flensburg without dinner at the Ferryman again!

Delicious! This is our third time here. The food is beautifully presented. The atmosphere is nice. Gluten-free options are also on the menu.

We really enjoyed ourselves here; the view and the ambiance are fantastic. All in all, a wonderful evening with friends; we'll be back.

A delightful find on our trip back through Germany on our way home to the UK. We didn't book but were early enough to secure a table on a Saturday evening thankfully. The food was absolutely delightful so would recommend anyone to visit. We sat outside and enjoyed the view and the sail boats on the water. We shall return if back in town!

Today was unfortunately the last day of our vacation, so we had to have something special for dinner. A friend recommended this restaurant to us. The service was very attentive, and we received excellent advice on the menu. I chose a fish dish from the menu featuring a catch of the day. It was a culinary dream. The fish was cooked to perfection, the fresh mushrooms, the good spinach combined with an aromatic sauce... Wonderful... For dessert, I had a crème brûlée. The bar had been set very high after a good country inn near Marburg; countless attempts at various restaurants had failed. But here, combined with strawberries and rhubarb with ice cream, how can I put it: The crème brûlée was perfect. Full-bodied in flavor, reaching every bud in the mouth and triggering an explosion of enjoyment. But the strawberry-rhubarb compote with the scoop of ice cream was also very well matched. Many thanks to the kitchen for the experience.

We were there with a group and felt quite comfortable. Everything went well. Perhaps the waitress could stop by a bit more often and ask if anyone wanted anything else. The schnitzels were a bit small, but otherwise everything was good.

Die Bedienung war ausgesprochen unfreundlich! Nachdem bereits die nach uns erschienenen Gäste ihr Essen bezahlt hatten, mussten wir noch weitere 45 Minuten auf unser Essen warten (somit 1, 5 h)! Auf Nachfrage, wann wir unser Essen bekommen hieß es - „in 3 Minuten „ - es wurden dann aber nochmals 30 Minuten! Wir werden wohl nicht mehr zu Ihnen kommen und das Restaurant nicht weiter empfehlen!

A nice place... with perfectly ok service.. I got a schnitzel with lots of tendons in it.. but the puree that came with it was really good.. the others got something else and they were very excited.. Again poor when you are asked about tips..

We were there for the first time. A very nicely decorated restaurant. However, we sat outside and had a wonderful view of the water. The meal was one of the most delicious experiences I had. Especially the avocado salmon tartare. But the other dishes were also a 10/10. Everything is homemade, including the sauces. The eye is usually there and the chef couldn't have presented the food better. A very big compliment from me! Not only did it look great but it tasted even better. The starter and main course were very good in terms of quantity, but they couldn't have been less. All in all, just a great experience. Thank you for that.

We got this place recommended by friends and it is really a great place. Great location and great food. A little more attention to the guests from the waiters, would be the only thing to improve at this point.

Wir waren heute das erste Mal im Ferryman. Das Ferryman liegt sehr schön am Jachthafen eines Segelclubs und bietet einen schönen Blick über die Flensburger Förde. Im Sommer ist es bestimmt sehr schön auf der Terrasse vor dem Restaurant zu sitzen. Das Ambiente erinnert ein wenig an einen Imbiss jedoch in hochwertiger geschmackvoller Ausstattung. Es gibt einen Gastraum, der allerdings wenig Intimität bietet. Es war es dennoch angenehm ruhig. Man wurde nicht durch die Gespräche der anderen Gäste gestört. Die Karte ist reduziert, jedoch sind es geschmackvolle Variationen der Gerichte. Überwiegend gibt es Gerichte mit Fisch jedoch auch 2 Fleischgerichte sind auf der Karte. Auch für Vegetarier ist etwas dabei. Aus unserer Sicht sorgt eine reduzierte Karte allerdings für mehr Qualität des Essens und macht die Wahl einfacher als bei überladene Karten. Zudem gibt es auch aktuelle Tagegerichte, welche mit Kreide über dem Tresen verzeichnet sind. Hier sollte noch an der Schrift gearbeitet werden. Teilweise war es nicht so eindeutig zu lesen. (Daher mein Vergleich mit einem Imbiss). Die Bedienungen waren freundlich und aufmerksam aber nicht aufdringlich. Das Essen (Fleischgericht) war sehr gut abgeschmeckt und auf den Punkt zubereitet. Preislich ist das Ferryman schon nicht ohne. Aber wenn man qualitativ gutes Essen und Service möchte ist es mittlerweile wohl normal, dass man für Haupt und Nachspeise sowie Getränke für 2 Personen mindestens ab 100 € berappen muss.

Highly recommended! We were invited for a birthday and there was a choice of steak, poultry, fish or vegetarian. Various starters (Wow 😋). Everyone (around 40 guests) had nothing but praise. Nobody had to wait for their food and the steak (I had poultry, yammi!) was said to have been amazing!!!! The staff was super friendly 👏

Celebrated my 60th birthday. 43 people. I called and made an appointment with the owner. Arrived and was immediately on a first-name basis (the north), and the menu was discussed. I said do it. I knew it would be and it was like that. Staff very nice and relaxed. The food was very tasty. Everything was right. Big bell on the ceiling. I have used it often. Insiders know what it is for. Great restaurant. I don't think the 43 invited are lying when they say it was great. My favorite restaurant now. Thank you Hauke ​​and Co. .

After we had digested the last Christmas cookies, we had dinner again at The Ferryman near Hauke. The quality of the food - pike perch on champagne cabbage and skrei with leaf spinach - was again excellent. The ambience and service are relaxed, just like in a first-class bistro but with gourmet-level dishes. It is rare to find a vitello tonnato with such beautiful flavors and roasted aromas of the lightly grilled capers. Chapeau, dear Hauke!

Enjoy fresh fish in a beautiful ambience at the marina. Daily fresh dishes on the chalkboard and classics on the “normal” menu. Everyone can find something tasty here. One star less for the service. We were served, nothing more. A smile more and a little more interest would have been nicer. It just depends on the setting. Fresh excellent cuisine, highly recommended!

But not if we want to go there ourselves 😉😁🤳. Sure, it's expensive, but it's definitely worth it. Luxury vacation for the palate, plus super friendly and funny service! 1000 thanks. A little tip: if you want or need to, you can also park behind the barrier. You'll then get a chip in the restaurant so you can go out again for free. I was very disappointed with my visit to The Ferryman. We had to wait forever and when we asked at 4pm if we could eat we were told they would inquire. Unfortunately, nothing happened for a long time after that. The staff seemed overwhelmed and made little effort to help us. I hope the company takes these criticisms to heart and makes appropriate improvements.

Das Ferryman ist aus der Flensburger Gastrowelt nicht mehr wegzudenken - immer neue und interessante Tagesgerichte, fantastische Qualität und superfreudlicher und fähiger Service! Wo kann man schon sein Dinner draußen in der Abendsonne mit Blick auf die Förde genießen? Und das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist (besonders vergleich mit dem einen odere anderen Hotel in der Gegend) wirklich in Ordnung. Wir kommen mittlerweile 2-3 mal im Monat. Weiter so, Hauke!

Yesterday was actually our first time at the Ferryman, but definitely not our last. The location is great, located directly at the Flensburg sailing club. A young, friendly team warmly welcomes guests. Of course, they are not perfect restaurant professionals, but they consistently provide great and quick service. But the highlight is clearly the kitchen. The normal menu makes you want to eat, but the extra daily specials on the table are really fun. The dishes are perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and reasonably priced. Plus fairly priced wines. For me, Flensburg has a new, great gastronomic highlight

Unfriendly service; According to the service, the kitchen was already closed at 8:45 p.m., although the website says that you can order a'la carte until 9:30 p.m. (it was a Friday in the summer). The guests at the next table were served their warm food around 15 to 20 minutes later. We were told to wait to be seated even though half the tables were free at that time and there was no service on site. This was pointed out to us in a very rude manner. It's a shame, because the location could have made for a nice evening.

Staying at a five star up the road and fancied some good honest food for dinner - we were not disappointed by this charming little cafe/restaurant. Friendly staff, fabulous location by the marina. Fish and chips was amazing and I say that as someone who is well versed in chippies.

We ate there on the recommendation of a local hotel. We had fish soup with toasted baguette, aioli and grated Emmenthal cheese. It led the thought a bit in the direction of provencal fish soup, and it was excellent. As a main course I had haddock in a mustard/potato/cream sauce with parsley potatoes and fried spinach. Again excellent food. Our waiter Shaheem was super service oriented and had a good overview despite a full restaurant. Good food, good service, if you are in Flensburg, this is probably one of the best places to eat.

We went to this restaurant for lunch on Sunday with two adults. We received a very friendly welcome and were given a nice seat by the window with a view of the water. Both drinks and food came very quickly; the plates were beautifully prepared and it tasted sensationally good!! (We had a fish soup, an accompanying salad, and a fish dish with a side dish and dessert). A very friendly farewell rounded off the visit. We will be happy to come back and give this restaurant a clear recommendation!!

The evening at the Ferryman was a straight A with stars. Fine dining in a casual atmosphere. We had the yellow-fin tuna tartare and surf & turf or salmon as our main course. I have rarely eaten something so delicious. Service was very attentive but not intrusive.

The worst Schnitzel I have ever been served in Germany; a small deep fried tasteless piece of meat at €24,50. And who would serve half a Burrata in a salad? It is amazing how this establishment got such a positive rating.

Wow, what a nice evening at The Ferryman restaurant! As soon as we walked in, Hauke's super friendly team gave us a warm welcome and found a nice table for us. For starters there was the yellow fin tuna tartare, simply awesome, and the zander fillet with grapes was also super tasty with the truffled fries, which had quite a bit of truffles! A great selection of wines to go with it. Really, every meal at the table was a hit and everyone was completely satisfied. A big thank you to Hauke ​​and his team, who provided perfect service. This small but fine restaurant is extremely tastefully decorated, the service staff is very friendly, more reserved than intrusive, which I really liked. A mussel dinner with my daughter and grandson was planned, but it didn't get that far when I saw the menu for the day. Beef fillet (I recommend the kitchen recommendation as a cooking level, a wonderful aroma) with prawns, I can't pass it up. My daughter had mussels and my grandson had the fish fillet, everything ended up going sideways. Prices are absolutely justified, we ate extremely tastefully in a wonderful atmosphere and were looked after in a very friendly manner. Thanks so much

Super nice restaurant at the marina in Flensburg-Mürwik. We celebrated a big birthday here. There was an excellent three-course meal and plenty of space to dance afterwards. When the weather is good, there is still a spacious terrace available. The service was pleasantly unobtrusive and yet always quick and friendly. Gladly again!

We had a Christmas party with our company at the Ferryman and were really excited. We were able to choose the dishes beforehand and therefore didn't have to wait long. From the starter to the dessert, everything was very high quality and absolutely delicious. The entire service team was great... we were there until shortly after 1 a.m. and had a drink or two. Es ist sicherlich schwer einen gewissen Standard zu halten. Und nur wenige schaffen es der Gefahr der Routine und der Profitsteigerung durch Qualitätssenkung zu entgehen. Dieses Restaurant hat es leider auch nicht geschafft. Es fing gut an und wir waren gerne Gast. Doch beim vorletzten Mal hat es schon nicht gereicht und nun war es das. Wir werden auf der Suche nach Qualität zu vernünftigen Preisen weiter ziehen. Schade.
