Restaurant Syrtaki in Berlin

We came here as a family for dinner. We enjoyed excellent, authentic Greek 🇬🇷 cuisine. The food was truly delicious, and the portions were generous. Delicious ouzo before and after our meal. The staff was very polite and attentive. We highly recommend it and give it 5 stars.

It used to be a great restaurant. Unfortunately, today's visit was more than disappointing. No bread was served with the €27 appetizer platter. The chicken tasted of nothing, the pork skewer wouldn't come off the skewer, the meat was tough, and the gyro was unfortunately streaked with fat. The garlic bread tasted only of feta. So, almost everything stayed on the plate. The waiter frantically cleared the food without asking how we liked it. As I said, it used to be a great place.

Finally back here after two years, it was delicious - but I expect a bit more for a main course from my former favorite Greek restaurant of decades... especially when I see the prices here, which are on average almost €5 more than the usual prices of comparable Greek restaurants 🧐 I had the Artemis pan and I'm not sure if it really had pork fillet... (the waiter said it was split in half and then pounded flat so it could be grilled) because, at about 14 x 8 cm, it was more like a schnitzel or back pork, and it was also cooked through and a bit dry. The rest was good, though. I should mention that they have Duckstein on tap... 🎉Jámas 🍺😜

It was another try, and from now on, it's not necessarily one of my favorites. Ouzo isn't required, but it would show me I'm welcome. There wasn't one... A beer now costs €5.80...😳 For two of us (one starter, two main courses), we paid €105. We'll find another local.

What a super cozy and beautiful restaurant, and what incredibly friendly staff. Unfortunately, we could only pay with an EC card, but the manager really did a great job for us. Thank you for the delicious food and the great service.

I was there for the first time in a long time... I reserved a table, everything was great... Unfortunately, it was very crowded and accordingly loud... The food was good. Personally, I liked the Metaxa sauce better in the past, and the garlic potatoes were more garlic than potato; sometimes less is more. Nevertheless, I definitely recommend it, with a few reservations; we'll be happy to come back.

My 70th birthday was supposed to be special, but it was over after 2.5 hours. Instead of singing, the ice cream sundae, which was initially served to our table as a regular order at my husband's request, was simply asked to take a photo. I couldn't shake the feeling that I'd stolen it, so I allowed myself to pay for it with the tip without paying for it. I didn't need to! And the order was definitely "birthday table for 8 people." The food came quickly and was tasty, but I don't need this place anymore, sorry.

Food was very tasty! I have rarely eaten so well! Staff was very friendly. Before dinner we were given a quarter liter of ouzo on the table. (That was well-intentioned, but way too much!) Otherwise, the restaurant can only be praised! Happy to come back next time!

We live in the neighboring district and came to this restaurant for the first time out of curiosity, as we otherwise drive further into town to eat. We were extremely positively surprised. I chose a grill plate. The lamb skewer was still slightly pink and the remaining meat was just as well cooked and seasoned. My wife chose the gyros baked with Metaxa sauce. The main courses included a small salad. All in all we were very satisfied. In my opinion, the quality of the food was higher than in 80% of most Greek restaurants. You want a restaurant like this in your neighborhood. A very polite service rounded off the visit. A good address if you are looking for Greek cuisine in Pankow. The restaurant also has a very large terrace, which makes it easy to sit outside when the weather is nice.

Cash and EC card payment possible, no debit card! Very friendly staff, courteous and quick service. Food was very tasty. Here you get something for your money.

Just ate with 2 people and a child for 100 euros, tipped 10 euros and didn't get a single ouzo today. Very sad for a Greek that is otherwise quite expensive and quite good. The question to the kitchen as to whether there was alcohol in the tiramisu was also forgotten. Apparently the service didn't have its best day today.

I like to eat there,...Bifteki needs a lot of improvement (hardly any sheep's cheese in it)...otherwise the dishes are very tasty

Very clean restaurant, good selection of indoor and outdoor seating, friendly staff, great selection of food to enjoy on site or to take away, price performance is okay, of course everything has become a bit more expensive recently, but the quality is good. Update: Prices have gone up, but the food is still pretty darn tasty.

Greek isn't my thing, it's always hard on my stomach. The restaurant was really big and well filled. Overall it was very loud and it was very difficult to have a conversation. I found the meat dishes really expensive, but the portions were generous. The salad was very tasty and the rest of the food was also of good quality. Of course I ate something that wasn't typically Greek (chicken with mushroom sauce and fries) and yet I still had a hard time Stomach. The toilets were ok for the mass of people

We visit/visited Syrtaki regularly and were always satisfied. Unfortunately, things have gone downhill. Of course everything is getting more expensive, but then I can't let the service and food down. We've been there three times in a row and each time our food was cold, we had to wait up to 45 minutes, the drinks were deflated several times, and the glasses were foggy each time, which looks very unsightly. Unfortunately, things have gone downhill overall and the prices are really expensive, but then I expect that at least the overall quality is good. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back; it's just too much money. A real shame!

Even after eating it several times, it is always delicious

We've been to this restaurant a few times. The dishes are exceptionally tasty and generously portioned. The desserts are simply fantastic. The staff is always friendly and pays attention to details. Even when they are busy, they always smile at the children and pay attention to everyone. A sincere recommendation!

Waited over an hour for the starter and then another hour for the main course. It doesn't work at all. Was definitely the last visit here. Order was forgotten. Then there was a round of drinks on the house, later another waiter came and said that since they had to apologize (he really said they had to), all drinks would be on the house. When it came time to pay, they said that the waiter would have to pay for the drinks himself. Of course we didn't pay for the drinks because they weren't on the bill. Guys, just get your shop in order...

Total disaster! Waited 1 hour for starters and another hour for the main course. The service is completely haphazard and not at a loss for excuses. Never again!!!!!!!!!

A really great restaurant, the food and service were great. Normal prices for a typical Greek restaurant, but not too overpriced. There is a large terrace area which is definitely great to enjoy in the summer, but it is also very large inside. But it's a bit loud. Personally, it doesn't bother me that much. There is a really big salad before every main course. The plates are very well filled and very rich. I'd love to come back, and I'd be happy to spend a few euros more for such great food.

One of the best Greek restaurants I know.

The food is still very tasty, but now also extremely expensive. The service though... 👎 Reserved for Valentine's Day for 2 people. Despite having a reservation, I stood in line for 20 minutes waiting for a free spot. Then the two of us were given a table for 6 and it happened as it had to happen... strangers were seated at the table. If you want to eat for two on Valentine's Day, it's a mood killer. As if all that wasn't enough, we had to wait more than 1 1/2 hours for the food. All told, that was 2 hours of waiting time!!! As a restaurant, you should have enough staff there on a day like this so that guests don't have to wait hours for their food. If you don't have enough staff, you can't fill the hut to the roof. Let's talk about the ambience... there is nothing that absorbs the sound even a bit (e.g. plants or curtains or whatever). When the store is full, it is louder than a train station and conversation is only possible by shouting. I don't think I'll go there again.

Unfortunately, we were only told at the table that we had to expect a wait of over an hour (it was 1.5 hours). The staff was overwhelmed. Food was good (prices on the upper level). The music was too loud for us.

Prices were outrageous and the fries were replaced with cheap garlic potatoes that didn't taste good. Luckily there are other Greek restaurants where the quality and prices are still right.

Very tasty, best country in Blankenburg

Compared to other Greek restaurants in the north of the city, we always come back to "Syrtaki". A little more expensive than the competition, the quality of the food is unbeatably high. Because it's so popular, it's always pretty crowded in the evenings, which increases the noise a bit. Anyone who doesn't get enough here has to eat inhuman quantities.

The food is too hearty and fried potatoes are swimming in fat. I ordered the meat medium rare, but it was fried almost raw! Guests are much too loud, so normal conversation is not possible.

I don't think the quality of the food is right for these prices. There is a lot that can be improved here, but it may have become a bit “worn in” after the years. The restaurant has continually expanded in order to be able to offer more and more seats. This may not always be the smartest solution in the long term. And why can you only pay in cash when picking up? 🤷‍♀️

I ate there today on the first day of Christmas with my family. I ordered my steak welldone, the waitress said it was good, so it wasn't cooked through, I just tried it even though it wasn't cooked through. Unfortunately, the second piece of meat was also far too bloody to eat. I lost my appetite and had no appetite anymore. Instead of listening to me, she immediately ran away with the plate. I had to talk to her again and then it was completely my fault. Instead of the lady not only serving her favorites and serving us half-heartedly then everything would have gone much better, thank you for the great food on the first day of Christmas.

We go there quite often. The food is really the best of all the Greeks so far. But until now there have always been negative events there. Sometimes we had a stone, sometimes a rubber. Of course, this was also clarified on site. At one point we had what felt like bloody meat because it was way too full and they probably didn't want to take too much time. But recently there have been incidents again: The waiters hardly left us alone. We had just arrived and one of the waiters wanted to take the order, but we had only just received the cards. Good. Can happen. But then he kept coming back. This caused unrest in us and put us under pressure. But the best is yet to come. After the bill, which we paid without a tip, the man said we should tip his team. Tipping is a topic that many people always argue about anyway, but everyone else doesn't get tips in their jobs either. And if the bill is already high anyway... That you really dare to say it so boldly. That wasn't even a question. He asked for it.

Beautiful restaurant inside and out. Fast service, appetizer good. But for the main course I had liver. It was still almost raw, the service was just a pity, and when I paid I also complained that I only tipped one euro. Sorry, that doesn't work at all. I will never visit this restaurant again in the future as there are far better Greek restaurants.

Best Greek we had the pleasure of meeting. TOP food in combination with TOP service and incomparable warmth. Unfortunately too far away for us. That's why we are repeat offenders when we are in Berlin. Unfortunately, there is no comparable alternative in our region.

I've enjoyed going here for years. Friendships from all over Germany also “have” to go there with me, and everyone has been thrilled so far, the food is rich and tasty (no matter what dish), the service is always friendly and on-the-fly and the prices are therefore more than reasonable. Definitely worth recommending!

This is always perfect and tastes great!!! The meat is great and prepared!!! But the noise level is barely bearable when eating.

Greek food as you know and expect it, although the long-running favorites here are of very good quality. Gyros seasoned just right, little fat, yet very juicy. Bifteki very juicy, spicy and with grilled aromas. The only downer was the very average salad with bottled French dressing. This would never happen with our Greek neighbors. I would prefer a homemade coleslaw with the gyros and everything would be perfect. The service is very friendly and accommodating.

We have been regular guests at the Greek restaurant Syrtaki in Berlin-Blankenburg for over ten years and really appreciate the team's friendly hospitality, authentic ambience and always impeccable service. The staff are always attentive and courteous, the food is high quality and the atmosphere is reminiscent of a holiday in Greece. Unfortunately, one point has developed very negatively in the last two years: prices. Simple dishes have now become an average of eight euros more expensive, so that a visit for one person can hardly cost less than €40. For families or groups, eating here is now a real luxury and no longer a matter of course, which has meant that we can only go there rarely, at most once a quarter. The quality continues to be impressive, but the pricing has definitely reached a point that keeps us from visiting regularly. If you want to enjoy a great Greek meal, you have to be aware that it will be expensive.

I can particularly recommend the “Meze plate”, which offers a delicious combination of tzatziki, dolmadakia (stuffed grape leaves), saganaki (fried cheese) and crispy calamari - a perfect introduction to the Greek taste experience. For the main course I ordered the “Gyros Souvlaki”. The meat was tender and flavorful, with just the right balance of Mediterranean spices. There were also crispy potatoes and a Greek farmer's salad with feta and olives, which tasted wonderfully fresh and full-bodied. The vegetarian moussaka that my companion chose also impressed with a fine, spicy note and was perfectly seasoned. Finally, of course, a dessert should not be missing: the homemade galaktoboureko (Greek semolina cake) was light, sweet and a crowning conclusion to the evening. A strong Greek coffee was served, which rounded off the meal perfectly. Conclusion The Syrtaki restaurant impresses across the board - from the atmosphere to the warm service to the authentic dishes. Here, everything is cooked and served with love, and as a guest you actually feel like a welcome part of Greek hospitality. A visit to Syrtaki is more than just dinner – it's a mini trip to Greece that shouldn't be missed.

Simply mega. We already have a very good Greek restaurant in our hometown, but this one is even better. Whether tzatziki, bifteki or the garlic potatoes... two thumbs up, nothing more is possible.
