By far the best Greek in the entire area. Here I regularly enjoy the best souvlaki skewers I've ever had in Germany. The lunch menu is also highly recommended, perfect for a small appetite. The starter salad and especially the dressing are very tasty. The ouzo served here is at least as good as the excellent service!

An institution among Greek restaurants for so many years. The food is delicious and very filling - so you should think carefully about ordering an appetizer. The service is extremely friendly and committed. There is a regular party atmosphere here in the evenings. This may also be because the guest is always served an ouzo upon greeting, with their meal and afterwards ;-) Conclusion: You have to experience the symposium!

Food was ok, but no highlights... just simple Greek cuisine. Service hectic and short. Ambiance loud babble of voices...and that's not enough. The music system is turned up...but with pop and rock...unbearable and inappropriate for a Greek restaurant. Better to pick up to go.

A beautiful and cozy restaurant with great and friendly staff. There wasn't a table available at first so we were sent to the bar to wait, which was fine. Here you could drink your first Gaffel Kölsch. The table was ready in no time and we could sit down. Drinks, food, bill - everything came quickly and served to our complete satisfaction. We would be happy to come back on our next trip.

After a visit to the Mediterrana the question was, where should we eat? Since we love Greek, we asked people where you can eat good Greek food. Then it came like a shot from a gun at the symposium. Golden tip. Great place. Very friendly staff and the food was absolutely great. The restaurant was very well attended. The food we ordered came after 15 minutes, despite the restaurant being full. And it was absolutely worth every penny. By far the best Greek restaurant we've had in a long time. If we travel back to Bergisch Gladbach from Saarland, we will definitely go to the symposim again. We are currently at a hotel in the area and spontaneously went there without a reservation. Despite the fact that it was busy and there were already a lot of reservations, we managed to get a table. We were served quickly and very friendly. There is a very good selection of food and the portions are large. The food came very quickly. The meat was juicy, tender and very well seasoned. Special requests were also addressed very friendly. All in all, it was the best Greek restaurant I've ever eaten at. I'd love to come back when I'm in the area again!

Food: Gyros to take away were fantastic, 5 stars Food in the restaurant: could be improved, had the grill plate. Unfortunately it was partially charred and dry, and the fries were a bit limp. Next time to take away again. 3/5 Ambiance: is terrible, still very reminiscent of its predecessors and screams (and smells) like a pub. You really could have invested more in decoration and renovation/redesign. The store has potential, but unfortunately only 2/5 for ambience.

Nothing special. The starters looked like they were from a bad snack, whether warm or cold. Prices are clearly too high for starters of such average quality and presentation. Waiting times and service also left a lot to be desired. Would rather go somewhere else next time.

A Greek restaurant to fall in love with. We come here very often because we are always amazed by the quality. The food is definitely recommended in every category and the service is also very good. The ambience looks like a normal restaurant. There is still room for improvement here. It's clean and cozy. There is also seating outside to enjoy food in a good atmosphere. Parking spaces are available in the immediate vicinity. This restaurant is ideal for people with walking difficulties and wheelchair users. We can highly recommend the restaurant.

Friendly, fast team! It's nice to sit in the ambience, which has remained unchanged for 30 years! Otherwise, it's a mystery to me why the food gets so many good reviews. After the grilled plate and the liver, my wife and I were sick for hours. In my opinion, nothing was freshly prepared! The salad certainly comes in a bucket! The meat was totally over-seasoned! The lamb chops were tough and dry! I didn't get full from the grill plate for €20.50, although I'm certainly not a heavy eater. Sorry, in my opinion a gyro plate in any chip shop in the area is more recommended! The food ran after us for hours!

Unfortunately I can't share the good reviews here. Waiting 1.5 hours for a burnt salmon is simply too much. The fact that after complaining, 3 people ask whether the fish was actually dry is extremely unpleasant. The fact that the supposed boss remained at the table for minutes without comment was also unpleasant. The tzatziki was great, but unfortunately the rest wasn't. Souvlaki barely seasoned, gyros cold, fries in the deep fryer for too long. If you want to eat Greek, you've come to the wrong place... Sorry.

Food is really super good. However, sometimes you are “overlooked” after your first drink order, so you really have to draw attention to yourself. Otherwise everything is great and the atmosphere is good.

Eat on Point..... which was very tasty, very good quality meat, salad as a side dish, fries or foil potatoes, there were 4 people plus a dog, everyone had a different dish and everyone was happy with the food, freshly warm and well presented on the plate. On Schlossstrasse you can sit and dine comfortably in both the beautiful outdoor area and the rustic interior area. The food is great, the quality is always convincing. We live in Cologne. On public holidays or weekends we sometimes go on a hike through the beautiful Franconian Forest. Then we go to the symposium. We chose the Greek restaurant at random and we were very satisfied The food was very tasty Everything grilled to perfection Service and operation very nice, quick and competent. Vorweg: Speisen und Getränke , der Serivce am Tisch waren in gewohnt guter Qualität. Was uns allerdings verärgert hat war der Empfang... nachdem wir das Lokal betreten, unseren Namen und Reservierung genannt hatten , betraten weitere Gäste das Lokal ... uns ließ man mitten im Raum stehen und kümmerte sich zunächst um die "neuen" Gäste... das ist ein absolutes "NoGo" und hat uns ordentlich den Abend verdorben....

Well the cheese was good and the side salad could have been given as a gift. Dry green salad and a pepperoni. 2 slices of flatbread. Was neither well turned on nor nice in any way. The service was excellent and always friendly. It was my first not so nice experience here.

Okay for gyros and fries, but the rest is not recommended. The grilled dishes are all okay… as you would apparently expect. We also had a saganaki with shrimp and that was a disgrace. Shrimp baked in cream sauce with pizza cheese would have been better. Unfortunately inedible for us. Service is quick but very superficial and not very hospitable. Here too, quantity comes before quality. Ambiance is from the 80s... if you like that.
