Friendly service. The food came quickly and tasted very good. Only the red cabbage was too mealy.

We were regular guests with several visits a year and and and... Today, however, was our last visit to the Spreewaldschänke. The food was delicious, that's without question (even if it could have been significantly warmer.) The first drink was requested then the food came to the table but no service staff came to the table. When asked about it they said “njoar, sorry, I’m alone” We understand that, but careful service looks different, especially since the prices have risen but the portions have become smaller. For my part, I left today hungry (again). Conclusion:

Absolutely delicious, but very expensive. Service is friendly and quick. The dishes (game) are exceptional and are not available in every German restaurant. Also cozy for family celebrations.

After a relaxing day at the lake, we found the idyllically located restaurant. When we took our food order, the waitress was very unfriendly and pointed out to us in a snarky and loud manner that we had to read the menu carefully. We had lost our appetite and we already had ours I ordered beer and paid the hefty price of 5.90 euros and left the place! With this kind of service, you can't recommend the restaurant under any circumstances!!!!

Unfortunately we couldn't try the food because we were sent away again by the somewhat unfriendly service. There were still a few tables available but she said there was no more room. That's not the problem, but how to talk to guests should be practiced again.

Food was solidly good and the service was very friendly. Solyanka was very good. Ambiance leaves something to be desired. After a change of operator, a bit of fresh air should also be invested in seating, floor coverings and dishes (attached). The ventilation in the kitchen doesn't seem to be working. Our friends invited us to lunch on the occasion of an 81st birthday. However, since it was Monday and there were only four of us, they hadn't pre-ordered. It was very crowded and the staff were very friendly despite everything. We got seats and also the prospect of lunch, although there was a bit of a wait, which was fine with us. The food was delicious and so was the ice cream sundae at a later date. It was just an overall lovely afternoon.

Today we were with a family at the Spreewaldschänke and had a few great hours here. The atmosphere outside on the patio was great. So cozy by the small pond and in the middle of a forest. The service was wonderfully relaxed and friendly and the food was delicious for everyone. We had ordered a small portion of the dishes on the menu: schnitzel with chanterelles, beef roulade with dumplings and red cabbage, tagliatelle with chanterelles, baked camembert, liver dumpling soup, fish fingers with mashed potatoes and mushrooms, hunter's schnitzel with fried potatoes, etc. and everyone was happy with their food . So an all-round nice trip, which definitely won't be our last here. Thank you very much and keep it up.

Would describe this restaurant as OK. But nothing more. The service is friendly, the food is average, but the prices are too high...

It's nice to sit outside in the countryside next to the lake and the cuisine is meat-heavy but good. What is absolutely subpar, however, is the politeness of the service. Cheeky tone, stressed for no reason and absolutely rude, 8 people get a single ticket, you are allowed to organize it yourself from neighboring tables and then you get ripped off for it. Moaning sound when you need a moment to look at the map. Felt like I was in the wrong movie. I've never experienced that before.

Opening times and kitchen closing times 1 hour earlier than stated on the website. Even when the reservation was confirmed, there was no mention of this. The food was tasty and it was easy to sit on the outdoor seating area, which was only half open. Otherwise a prime example of Germany's service desert.

We have reserved in advance for 7:00 p.m. Wanted to experience a nice company summer party. Unfortunately we didn't take the staff into account. According to the website, the kitchen closes at 9 p.m. Reality is 8 p.m. However, as soon as we showed up (7 p.m.), we were informed that the kitchen closes at 8 p.m. After repeated urging, we ordered at 7:15 p.m. but it wasn't complete yet because our shop closes at 6 p.m. When the colleague arrived at 7:30 p.m. the food also arrived. So far so well. The staff was extremely unfriendly and you had the feeling of not being welcome. Finally the mood arose and the lady said "So last round" we're about to close (it was another big birthday inside) we were all stunned, we've never experienced anything like that before. Just before we left, another waitress came and said they were still sitting. It was 9:15 p.m. on a Saturday. Sorry but they missed their job, something like that shouldn't work in service. We were all so disappointed and will definitely not be coming back. I hope many people read this response so that the owner thinks about it. Definitely not like that

Home-style cuisine at moderate prices Currently no day off I was in the Spreewaldschänke for the first time today and would like to share my impression with you. We had the roast fallow deer with mushrooms and dumplings and the beef roulade with red cabbage and dumplings. Great taste and a very generous portion, we were so full. The side salad could be presented more beautifully, it looked a bit unfortunate but not that important. The actual food counts. We also ordered two lemonades with cucumber which were homemade. These could be served a little nicer in a glass, for example with a slice of cucumber and lemon and maybe a little rosemary. But that would be complaining at a high level. Otherwise I can say that you can sit outside very well, but the inside area is a bit old. The service was generally friendly, but sometimes a bit taciturn - you could tell they were stressed. It should also be emphasized that it is now rare to find €18.90 for a beef roulade. We would be happy to come back and were very satisfied apart from the little things described.

I would like to share my experience because I have been to this restaurant before and experienced unfriendly service. While the food was fine, there was a different problem this time. I wanted to reserve a table for four people for my birthday. However, the lady who answered my call didn't let me finish and hung up straight away. I called again and advised them that this was not possible and that they should improve their service.

Very nice location, found by chance via GSearch. Although it has been around since the 60s, as we were told. Wonderfully located in nature between trees with a great pond. Nice beer garden, indoor area also inviting. We were satisfied with the food. The salad was extremely tasty. So so delicious. And the desserts were also great. Very tasty ice cream. I'll come back as soon as I can.

Coal instead of rump steak, We went to dinner at the Spreewaldschänke in Markkleeberg on Thursday June 13th, 2024. I had rump steak Strindberg, the meat of the steak was completely charred as was the egg on top of the steak. The breading on my wife's schnitzel tasted absolutely musty. Not a masterpiece of the kitchen.

Even though there are free seats, not all chairs may be occupied. People have to go. Problematic for older people. Bad service!

The best service and the food is so delicious. Always recommended. We are happy that things will continue as they did in the old days. Keep it up

Great place to visit. Idyllic panorama overlooking the pond. Today we only ate coffee cake and ice cream. Everything was great. The menu was extensive and invites you to eat. We will be back definitely.

Unfortunately we can't judge the food at all because it didn't even come to that. There was a sign that only the tables to the right of the sign could be used. At the table directly behind the sign (in the middle) there were already two chairs folded down and I was about to fold down a third for our son and at that moment a service person came from the restaurant. There was no “Hello” or “Sorry, this table cannot be used” but she stretched out her arm, pointed her index finger at me and simply said “No!!!” My replaced look was met with a “It’s on the sign up front.” I then said that that was very unfriendly. She ignored that and just moved on. Even the guests at the next table were very shocked by this situation. It's a shame, it looked idyllic, but we'll probably never be guests there. We then left straight away.

Went here for lunch on Men's Day, everything was just great. Food, service, etc. We would love to come back. Thanks again for everything. Kind regards You two ladies, we had the table opposite the counter

The food was very tasty, but you should have a well-filled wallet with you. Service staff (ladies) had a rustic oral language 😉 but were otherwise nice and quick when serving and clearing away. Would love to come back.

Good German cuisine and great team. Internal communication needs urgent work. Unfortunately our online reservation was lost, but the long-established team managed to set up a table for us so that nothing stood in the way of lunch on the occasion of my mother-in-law's birthday. Unfortunately, everything here has deteriorated greatly over the years. There has been no love in the dishes for a long time, there is absolutely no passion for the job. Everything is done carelessly. The service isn't really friendly anymore either. The food is almost all just convenience food seasoned with pepper and salt. At least they don't use spray cream on desserts. But even these are just made in a hasty manner. A few scoops of ice cream, cream on top and you're done. What a shame for this actually perfect location!

I have been visiting the Spreewaldschänke at intervals for decades. Not much has changed, the menu is quite manageable. Food was good but really not enough for the price. Beer 5.90 for half have the operators lost their minds?

Disappointing - my reservation via email wasn't processed at all, and then there were no more seats... According to the homepage you can supposedly order by email. Be careful - after asking by phone 2 weeks later, I was informed that reservations can only be accepted by phone. When I pointed out that it would be helpful to please update the website, the answer was succinct: the boss doesn't do that. Well, then the boss can do without us - we'll go to another restaurant where you'll be treated more friendly and can make reservations more reliably.

When we arrived we thought oh dear, what is this? We had called ahead and reserved a table. We were really positively surprised, the food was simply wow. Thumbs up.

It was busy this Sunday but we quickly got a place for two people. The staff is very polite and accommodating. The coffee was excellent, as was the warm apple strudel which was served with ice cream and vanilla sauce. Thanks. Gladly again.

Real DEHOGA flair that costs money. The high price of the food is justified by the fact that you can't buy the charm of the early 90s anywhere else in East Germany except here, it just costs. Real ease of use and everything from the METRO market fresh to the table.

I spent my birthday today. The waitress who mainly served us...I'm at a loss for words. I still laugh at her. She lives her job. The heart on the tongue and adapted to the guests. That felt really good. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the only point of criticism is the furniture, which is a bit outdated. But everything is clean. thank you for the beautiful day

Die Spreewaldschänke ist bekannt für ihre deftigen Speisen und sächsischen Spezialitäten. Wir hatten eine super nette, Bedienung mit viel Humor. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Atmosphäre urig.

Nette Gaststätte inmitten des Leipziger Auwaldes. Auch für ein Feierabendbier zu empfehlen.

Zuallererst muss man sagen das das Ambiente wirklich einladend rustikal ist. Allerdings war das Essen wirklich enttäuschend, trockenes Fleisch und Fertigbeilagen. Wenn man mit der Bedienung Pech hat bekommt man schnippische und negative Antworten.

Wir waren am 13.12.23 hier und ich habe eine " Gourmetschüssel "bestellt für 9.10 €.Ich war so enttäuscht von dem "Feinschmecker Salat " (ein paar Gurken Scheiben,Tomatenscheiben,Paprikastücke (da ist ja bei McD.mehreres drin)und ein paar Pfad schmeckende Geflügelfleisch Stücke.Es war alles eiskalt und wässrig. Nie wieder .

Vynikající a hlavně příkladně teplé jídlo na teplém talíři, dobré pivo, milá obsluha, ale paní potřebuje kolegu/kolegyni, aby provoz zvládla. Moc děkujeme za adventní gastronomický zážitek :-) Reakce na jinou recenzi - vegani si zvykli, že jim všichni dělají pomyšlení :-( přitom bych si ze surovin z jídelního lístku dokázal sestavit vegan jídlo par excellence. Navíc menu je na webu, takže pokud nevidím veganské jídlo, tak zavolám a zeptáme se nebo dám přednost jiné restauraci a zbytečně neprudím nespokojeností na místě a špatnou recenzí, kterou si Spreewaldschänke nezaslouží.

Die Bedienung und der Service sind sehr nett und gehen auch auf Sonderwünsche ein. Das Essen ist bodenständig, herzhaft gut und lecker. Man wird gut satt. Für gewöhnlich ist es hier recht gut besucht von daher lohnt es sich zu reservieren.

Schön im Park gelegen, Essen war lecker, große Räumlichkeiten

Hatten vor einer Woche online einen Tisch reserviert. Bei Eintreffen keine Reservierung vorhanden, mit der Aussage, dass das Büro nicht 24h besetzt sei. Wie weit im vorraus soll man denn dann reservieren, wenn es online angeboten wird. Servicekraft sehr schnippisch und unfreundlich. Was allerdings gut war, war unsere Roulade mit Klößen und Rotkohl. Ein Lob an den Koch, war echt lecker.

Wir waren heute zu Mittag essen. Es war eine nette Atmosphäre und gut bürgerliche Küche. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und war sehr üppig. Ich kann einen Besuch jederzeit empfehlen.

Das Essen hat uns gut geschmeckt.

Wir 7 Personen waren heute in der Spreewaldschenke essen. Wir hatten 7 verschiedene Speisen von Pute über Sülze bis hin zu Wild und es waren alle Gerichte sehr schmackhaft und reichlich. Auch die Vorspeisen sind sehr zu empfehlen. Die Bedienung war zügig und immer für ein Spaß aufgelegt. Draußen vorm Fenster konnte man sogar nen Eisvogel beobachten😍.Also alles in allem 👍👍👍

Die kleine Hütte im Wald hat ihren ganz eigenen Charme! Das essen war wirklich lecker und die Bedienung stets hinterher unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen! Gerne wieder!

Gestern Abend mit 14 Personen essen gewesen. Sehr nettes Personal. Bestellung wurde schnell aufgenommen und gebracht. Es wurde immer nachgefragt ob wir noch Wünsche haben. Das Esser war lecker und ausreichend. Der Koch wohl allein in der Küche und alles Essen gleichzeitig . Alle Achtung. Vielen Danke für einen sehr schönen, angenehmen Abend.

Schön gemütlich, absolut netter Service (mit dem man auch Scherze machen kann) und total leckeres Essen. Absolut empfehlenswert! Noch eine kleine Anmerkung: da gibt es eines der besten Würzfleisch. Vielen Dank dafür.

Uriges Restaurant in schöner Waldlage. Ausreichend Kinderhochstühle vorhanden. Gute Speisenauswahl (zumindest für Fleischesser) zu echt fairen Preisen. Die Portionsgröße ist genau richtig. Das Personal ist kompetent und freundlich.

A/senhora que nos atendeu é bem competente. O lugar é bonito, da janela vê-se tudo verde, é muito agradável. Pedimos um schnitzel e estava banhado no óleo, as batatas fritas eram boas, a salada também mas as Bratkartoffeln estavam também muito gordurosas e o molho não tinha cogumelos frescos . O preço é bom no geral. Só não compreendo porque uma garrafa de Sekt que custa 3 euros no mercado custa 18 euros no restaurante!

Zu empfehlen. Freundliche Bedienung gutes und Schmackhaftes Essen und das I Tüpfelchen Pilsener Urquell vom Fass ist nicht zu übertreffen einfach lecker.
