The restaurant itself is beautiful and in a lovely location, but as soon as you walk in, there's a harsh tone. The waitress there is incredibly rude and treats her customers as if they were small children. She also had a slight hangover, and it was lunchtime. It felt like being in a prison film. It's a real shame, because the food was really plentiful and good, but I won't go back or recommend it to anyone. She complained about her working hours; perhaps she should take up a career as a prison guard. Hats off to the other staff for what she put down in front of the customers.

Lunch in a wonderful setting with attentive servers who contributed significantly to the success with their relaxed and friendly manner... And the food was, of course, the icing on the cake! Thanks to the whole team!

Ideally, no stars at all. The service was extremely unfriendly, even from the very first greeting. But the worst was the food—ready-made meals from the freezer (pancakes, fish sticks, turkey steak, turkey schnitzel, Camembert). Not even a thank you for the tip. Just absolutely awful. We will never come back. Ideally, no stars.

Everything's pretty dated and dark. Unfortunately, there aren't even any fresh mushrooms for the Jägerschnitzel 😟 The service is forcedly friendly and not particularly pleasant. Not for young people 🙈

My granddaughter had Wiener Schnitzel, which she got two pieces of, and it had nothing to do with Wiener Schnitzel. The schnitzels looked like they had been fried in a regular pan. The spaetzle that accompanied the game dish were dried out. The chef needs to put more effort into it. The restaurant needs to be renovated. The floor and the wood don't look particularly inviting.

Traditional German cuisine in a rustic setting at reasonable prices. Drinks are slightly overpriced. The beer garden is also nice. It was very quiet on Monday, but reservations are often recommended.

Unfortunately, I can't give it a single star. The staff, two very unfriendly ladies who were probably overwhelmed, just rolled their eyes and were very annoyed. The first one, very annoyed, showed us a seat. The second one didn't want to take our order because the table hadn't been wiped down yet. Both were very listless and frustrated. If you treat your guests like that, it's better to leave your money where you're welcome. They would be wise to review their "friendly" staff.

When I visit Leipzig, stopping at the Spreewaldschenke is always on my list. Highly recommended seasoned meat, simply delicious. Unfortunately, the ambience is a bit old and needs to be renovated.

The waitress knows everything. When ordering a light Hefeweizen, the different varieties are discussed in detail. While guests who arrived later received their drinks after 20 minutes, I renewed my drink request... only to be asked again 5 minutes later what I actually wanted. I've been a guest 1-2 times a year for the last few years and unfortunately I have to write a review after the last experience because the quality of the food has deteriorated over the years. The roll was okay, but unfortunately my friend's dry, partly uncut loin wasn't! The sauces were the same and were ready-made, just like the mushrooms. In the summer the trout was good, two years ago mushrooms were forgotten at the hunting bowl and I then got canned mushrooms. Unfortunately that's not possible...you can do it outside of the location. To be honest, it's a shame how careless the cooking is. The service was way better

We spontaneously drank a coffee here and were thrilled to have discovered a German restaurant. I think it's worth reserving a table here in advance, as it was quite full on Saturday afternoon and there were reserved signs on all the tables. The food from the next table looked good. You can definitely sit outside here in the summer, by the small pond. There are hearty dishes, but also ice cream sundaes, cakes and coffee. The employees weren't all that excited about having to work, but okay. Parking is available nearby and you can take a nice walk through the park.

The food was delicious, that's without question (even if it could have been significantly warmer.) The first drink was requested then the food came to the table but no service staff came to the table. When asked about it they said “njoar, sorry, I’m alone” We understand that, but careful service looks different, especially since the prices have risen but the portions have become smaller. After a relaxing day at the lake, we found the idyllically located restaurant. When we took our food order, the waitress was very unfriendly and pointed out to us in a snarky and loud manner that we had to read the menu carefully. We had lost our appetite and we already had ours I ordered beer and paid the hefty price of 5.90 euros and left the place! With this kind of service, you can't recommend the restaurant under any circumstances!!!!

Our friends invited us to lunch on the occasion of an 81st birthday. However, since it was Monday and there were only four of us, they hadn't pre-ordered. Today we were with a family at the Spreewaldschänke and had a few great hours here. The atmosphere outside on the patio was great. So cozy by the small pond and in the middle of a forest. The service was wonderfully relaxed and friendly and the food was delicious for everyone. We had ordered a small portion of the dishes on the menu: schnitzel with chanterelles, beef roulade with dumplings and red cabbage, tagliatelle with chanterelles, baked camembert, liver dumpling soup, fish fingers with mashed potatoes and mushrooms, hunter's schnitzel with fried potatoes, etc. and everyone was happy with their food . So an all-round nice trip, which definitely won't be our last here. Thank you very much and keep it up.

It's nice to sit outside in the countryside next to the lake and the cuisine is meat-heavy but good. What is absolutely subpar, however, is the politeness of the service. Cheeky tone, stressed for no reason and absolutely rude, 8 people get a single ticket, you are allowed to organize it yourself from neighboring tables and then you get ripped off for it. Moaning sound when you need a moment to look at the map. Felt like I was in the wrong movie. I've never experienced that before.

Opening times and kitchen closing times 1 hour earlier than stated on the website. Even when the reservation was confirmed, there was no mention of this. According to the website, the kitchen closes at 9 p.m. Reality is 8 p.m. However, as soon as we showed up (7 p.m.), we were informed that the kitchen closes at 8 p.m. After repeated urging, we ordered at 7:15 p.m. but it wasn't complete yet because our shop closes at 6 p.m. When the colleague arrived at 7:30 p.m. the food also arrived. Home-style cuisine at moderate prices Currently no day off I was in the Spreewaldschänke for the first time today and would like to share my impression with you. We had the roast fallow deer with mushrooms and dumplings and the beef roulade with red cabbage and dumplings. Great taste and a very generous portion, we were so full. The side salad could be presented more beautifully, it looked a bit unfortunate but not that important. The actual food counts. We also ordered two lemonades with cucumber which were homemade. These could be served a little nicer in a glass, for example with a slice of cucumber and lemon and maybe a little rosemary. But that would be complaining at a high level. Otherwise I can say that you can sit outside very well, but the inside area is a bit old. The service was generally friendly, but sometimes a bit taciturn - you could tell they were stressed. It should also be emphasized that it is now rare to find €18.90 for a beef roulade. We would be happy to come back and were very satisfied apart from the little things described.

I wanted to reserve a table for four people for my birthday. However, the lady who answered my call didn't let me finish and hung up straight away. I called again and advised them that this was not possible and that they should improve their service.

Coal instead of rump steak, We went to dinner at the Spreewaldschänke in Markkleeberg on Thursday June 13th, 2024. I had rump steak Strindberg, the meat of the steak was completely charred as was the egg on top of the steak. The breading on my wife's schnitzel tasted absolutely musty. Not a masterpiece of the kitchen.

Even though there are free seats, not all chairs may be occupied. People have to go. Problematic for older people. Bad service!

The best service and the food is so delicious. Always recommended. We are happy that things will continue as they did in the old days. Keep it up

Unfortunately we can't judge the food at all because it didn't even come to that. There was a sign that only the tables to the right of the sign could be used. At the table directly behind the sign (in the middle) there were already two chairs folded down and I was about to fold down a third for our son and at that moment a service person came from the restaurant. There was no “Hello” or “Sorry, this table cannot be used” but she stretched out her arm, pointed her index finger at me and simply said “No!!!” My replaced look was met with a “It’s on the sign up front.” I then said that that was very unfriendly. She ignored that and just moved on. Even the guests at the next table were very shocked by this situation. It's a shame, it looked idyllic, but we'll probably never be guests there. We then left straight away.

Good German cuisine and great team. Internal communication needs urgent work. Unfortunately our online reservation was lost, but the long-established team managed to set up a table for us so that nothing stood in the way of lunch on the occasion of my mother-in-law's birthday. Unfortunately, everything here has deteriorated greatly over the years. There has been no love in the dishes for a long time, there is absolutely no passion for the job. Everything is done carelessly. The service isn't really friendly anymore either. The food is almost all just convenience food seasoned with pepper and salt. At least they don't use spray cream on desserts. But even these are just made in a hasty manner. A few scoops of ice cream, cream on top and you're done. What a shame for this actually perfect location!
