As people from Serbia, we of course know what food should taste like. Unfortunately we are not convinced by the restaurant. The Pljeskavica is okay, but nothing special. The Karadjordjeva was dry and tasteless. The portions are quite small for the price, especially when compared to other Balkan restaurants. The waitress couldn't speak German or Serbian, we had to communicate in English. We waited over 30 minutes for our food even though the restaurant was empty. Overall unfortunately disappointing

Curetina Mlincim and Caradjordjeva excellent. Great Serbian food, I can recommend Karadjordjeva and turkey with home made pasta.

Safe to say,one of the best meals of my life. The corn pie was exceptional, and the seafood plate actually had good-quality seafood, which can be hard to find in Berlin.

The “cucumber salad” cost 6 euros. After the second joke, the service was nice at some point.

This Serbian restaurant, located in Arminius Market, offers an authentic Balkan menu with friendly service and reasonable prices. The waitress speaks English. We ordered the seafood plate for two, which turned out to be ample for three of us. They also have a good selection of wines. Highly recommended for a casual dinner experience.

Sehr authentische Küche für Balkan-Liebhaber. Geniale Cevapcici. Wer Lamm mag muss das Lamm probieren und was auch ziemlich genial ist sind die Mlinci, die hausgemachten Nudeln.

It was a really nice experience. The food was delicious and the service was warm and welcoming, I liked this place so much that I even went twice during my short trip in Berlin. I would definitely go back there if I ever go back to Berlin!

I've been there several times and can confirm 100% that this is the best Montenegrin / Serbian restaurant in Berlin. The whole team is super friendly. The chefs are excellent, especially the fish dishes (🐙 octopus, fish soup). The evenings with live music are brilliant. The Aleksic wine from the Balkans and the food cooked perfectly. I can only recommend the daily specials. Dear Šljiva, I am from the catering industry myself and can only say, thank you for being in Berlin. Team Sljiva keep it up, you're doing a great job. P.S. Just one more beer from the Balkans Niksico Pivo would be great, then I'll come to you a lot more often to eat and drink 😎😘

Old hairdressing oil, didn't eat through and service was unfortunately bad

Sljiva is a cozy restaurant with delicious Serbian food and friendly service. Unfortunately, the music from the neighboring café was very loud, which disturbed the atmosphere a bit. Nevertheless, I can recommend Sljiva.

Little Serbian eatery inside Arminius Market with a very authentic Balkan menu. Nice service and reasonable prices make this an interesting, slightly offbeat choice for food. The croquettas are amazing, as was the ćevapčići. Highly recommended if you fancy something you are unlikely to have found elsewhere in Berlin. The only caveat to all these comments above is that you must remember to bring some cash as that is certainly the preference here, and paying by credit card was not that wash to do.

Fabulous spot in a very quirky lovely market. Great find. We went as a couple but would be great for groups. Short menu but everything looked fabulous and very different choices. Choice from smallish nibbles to full on main courses. Not expensive. Top drawer!

The staff was very friendly and attentive, the food tasted very good and the prices were fair! The only star deducted because it was freezing cold in the market hall and I had to sit with a scarf and jacket (even if the restaurant can't do anything about it per se)

Sehr schlechter und unfreundlicher Service. Essen fettig und qualitativ schlecht. Wir haben geschmortes Lamm bestellt, aber hier war mehr Fett als Fleisch auf dem Teller. Wir haben sofort den Kellner angesprochen und uns drauf verständigt dass wir noch ein bisschen mehr Fleisch bekommen. Als wir dann schon fast aufgegessen hatten kam er nach einer Viertelstunde und sagte uns daß wir nicht mehr bekommen und das die Portion wäre. Fertig! Es ist sehr schade daß hier nicht auf unsere "Beschwerde" eingegangen wurde. Einen solchen Dienstleistungsgedanken kennen wir nicht. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen!

Delicious food, great staff and an amazing atmosphere. In this "mini restaurant" in the Arminius markthallen you can get good cevapcivi and pljeskavica. You can taste that the chef uses quality meat. A good amount of food for a decent price. Highly recommend it!

L'errore è stato ordinare grigliata di pesce per quattro, 128€ non giustificati da quanto portato in tavola : 4 capesante, 4 tentacoli di polpo, gamberoni troppo cotti, calamari (buoni) e un sacco di cozze, troppe... Verdure alla serba e sauvignon blanc discreti. Assaggi di slivovitz poco generosi. Servizio rapido ma c'eravamo quasi solo noi. Non ci torneremo. Diritto di replica : non sono mai andato a mangiare in un fast food, confermo che i due piatti di pesce per quattro persone costavano 128€, conosco bene i prezzi della piovra perché cucino da più di quaranta anni per tutti, famiglia e amici. Per quanto mangiato, ripeto, abbiamo speso troppo. Un saluto rispettoso.

Das Essen war echt lecker, und auch, wenn die Portion auf dem Foto recht klein wirkt, war sie mehr als genug. Das Fleisch war etwas trocken, aber nicht der Rede wert. Lecker war es trotzdem. Der Service war hervorragend, die Kellnerin sehr freundlich und schnell.

Really nice area with many lights and music HOWEVER the food was TOO garlicky and salty we couldnt get to eat and the bill came in 35 mins after asking 6 times! I am really disappointed

Very bad service! Been ordering a dish at this place, the waiter told me that it'll be served to me in 20 minutes. After 35 minutes I asked again as the dinner did not arrive and they told me that they will not serve the dish to me anymore, because they had too many other customers siting nearer to the place even though they forgot me completely. This was on my birthday and they did not care at all. Cruel service! Never gonna go there again! ____________________ Answer to the owner, as the comments are somehow deactivated: This happend back in October, I did hesitate a long while to write this comment, as I have never done it before and I personaly realy don't like talking bad about others. Nevertheless, as I recently told a good friend about this experience and I was really getting angry again, he suggested to write a review, which I did. I did not sit directly in your localeI, but the markethall was empty as it was a Thursday (I know this as it was my birthday) and I asked one of the employes if I can order a fish soup and he told me of course and he'd bring it. Then, after 30 minutes they forgot it and I came to ask about it and he told me 'now they are fully ocupied and will be serving only customers sitting in the dedicated area of the restaurant' (beforehand he took my order and told me it was fine! I even though explained him in detail were we are sitting, which is not far from the restaurant). Still, really the worst dining experience I have had so far! And fyi, it was a fish soup.

This is THE place to go for Serbian food in Berlin! We met friends here and ordered several items off the menu and we absolutely devoured everything and could not stop talking about how good it tasted the rest of the day. Every single thing was a hit. Also, for as much as Serbians love their meat, Serbian food offers several vegetarian options. You won't go hungry here as a vegetarian! Totally recommend this place and will definitely return. Remember to bring cash or an EC card. It wasn't easy to split the bill, so we ended up paying all together and splitting it up afterwards. It was a beautiful day to sit and eat outside and drink rose from Vranje. 5*, love it!

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant in angenehmer Atmosphäre der Arminiushalle, beim Essen gab es absolut nichts zu beanstanden, alles frisch und lecker. Ich entschied mich für die Pecena Paprika und das Kapama-Lamm und wurde nicht enttäuscht, klare Empfehlung für das Šljiva, immer wieder+++ Steven aus Magdeburg :-)

The true Balkan spirt in Berlin. Can't wait to visit again for the live music. The food tastes great, we had starters, main dish, rakija and wine. The owner and all people working there are very cool and welcoming.

Klein aber fein !! Kleine Kartenauswahl was ich top finde , essen hat super geschmeckt. Und wir kommen wieder!!! Lamm war top zubereitet, Pljeskavica war auch super.

Essen war Ok Wir haben ein bisschen länger gewartet, aber Kellner hat sich mit eine runde Quitten Schnaps entschuldigt.

We went with friends and we ordered different "starters". We made sure they take our order well because it can be confusing. When the dishes arrived we warned the waiter, in English and in German, that they brought an extra portion (4 little pieces of meat with melted cheese on top) He told us: “It was our mistake, you can eat it anyways”, so we all shared. The problem started when the bill came and they wanted to charge us for that extra dish. We explained to the other waiter the situation, but he told us that he did not authorize that and that we should pay. It was like an extra 10 euros that we had to split again. It’s not about the money here, but the unpleasant moment after being told “just eat it” and “you have to pay for it”. I wonder if it happens often, but this lack of clarity and communication between the staff is unacceptable. It was a very uncomfortable situation, because we were treated like “people who don’t want to pay their bills”. When we clearly paid for what we ordered. Please be careful when ordering and double check what comes to your table to avoid situations like this. All in all, I won’t be back because the food was just average, and for that price and service… Next.

I’ve been to Sljiva many times since I discovered it and it is always a good experience. Food is great, especially sarma, proja and cabbage salad :) They also have good selection of wines. Staff is super friendly and with good recommendations regarding drinks or food.

Ideal für ein kleines Mittagessen mit traditionellen Gerichten der serbischen Küche. Wir haben frischen Pfefferminz-Tee und ein Glas Hauswein getrunken. Sehr lecker. Der Tee aus frischer Minze und der weiße Hauswein perfekt gekühlt. Eine leicht fruchtig, würzige Note. Zum Essen haben wir 4 Vorspeisen bestellt. Zwetschgen im Speckmantel, Sexy Pie (rote Beete mit Schafskäse im Blätterteigmantel), Salat und Spinat-Parmesan-Kroketten. Schafts- und Ziegenkäse dominieren diese Küche, aber da frisch gekocht wird, bekommt man Gerichte teilweise auch ohne Käse. Wer gerne Käse und Fleisch mag ist hier perfekt. Sehr frische aromatische Küche, definitiv eine Gaumenfreude. Für Veganer etwas schwierig. Generell eine sehr freundlich Bedienung. Die Preise sind sehr fair. Für 4 Vorspeisen, 1 Tee und 1 Glas Weißwein zahlten wir 36,40

Extrem fettiges Essen von schlechter Qualität. Das Ćevapčići hat wie fettiges gummi geschmeckt. Der Besitzer hat uns erklärt, dass da mit Absicht fett in das Fleisch gemischt wird, was ein Zeichen guter Qualität sei. Ist natürlich einfach billiger. Der Inhaber schien auch sehr beleidigt, als wir meinten, dass es uns nicht schmeckt. Leider eine schlechte Erfahrung.

Wir haben uns in der lässigen, freundliche Atmo sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Lamm war toll. Guter Service, manche sprechen weniger Deutsch, geht dann super auf Englisch. Die Markthalle wird schick, Sljiva bewahrt Originalität und gutes Essen zum fairen Preis. Danke!

Leckeres Essen und schönes Ambiente in der Markthalle an einem Freitag Abend. Auch die Weine waren wirklich sehr gut. Preislich auch alles noch ganz angemessen. Einziger Minuspunkt war der Service: wir waren an einem Tisch mit sieben Personen und sollten dann am Ende alles aus einem Sammelbon selbst ausrechnen, wer was zahlen muss. Das war schade, ziemlich mühsam und hat leider einen unschönen Abschluss für das ansonsten gute Restaurant verursacht.

Absolut enttäuschend, 3 Gerichte probiert - alles nicht weitergegessen. Cevapcici unangenehme Konsistenz, gefühlt roh, ohne Geschmack und ohne Salz. Krautwickel die aus einem Kohlblatt mit ein wenig Hackfleisch bestanden und völlig geschmacksneutral waren. Zu guter letzt Plaumen im Speckmantel, welche als solche nicht erkennbar waren und auch keinerlei Geschmacksfeuerwerk entfachten. Von den Wartezeiten und der Kritikfähigkeit des Servicepersonals ganz zu schweigen. Fazit: keine Weiterempfehlung, daher einmal und nie wieder!

Extrem leckeres serbisches Essen und sehr netter Service. Gerne wieder

Wir waren zu viert dort essen, zwei Erwachsene und zwei Kinder. Das Team war sehr freundlich. Die Speisen waren sehr authentisch (Vergleich: Balkan-Urlaub). Köstlich die gebratene Paprika und der Schopska-Salat. Proja sehr locker und lecker. Cevapcici und Pleskavica sehr lecker gewürzt und mit Top-Kartoffelbeilage (keine langweiligen TK-Pommes). Die Fischsuppe war richtig gut und vermittelte direkt das Belgrad-Restaurant-an-der-Donau-Gefühl. Beim nächsten Berlin-Besuch werden wir wieder da sein.

Mysig och trevlig resturang som ligger inne i en saluhall. Personalen var jätte trevlig och maten var magisk!! Ägaren som lagade maten till oss kom även ut till bordet och hälsade samt presentera rätterna. Ett måste att besöka när man är i Berlin.

Absolut interessant gelegen in der Markthallen. Kannte ich bisher nicht. Super frisch wird das Essen zubereitet. Wer mag kann die ganze Zeit zuschauen wir der Koch und gleichzeitig auch Besitzer des Restaurants die Köstlichkeiten zubereitet. Super wäre noch gewesen, wenn Bier aus Serbien im Angebot gewesen wäre. Auch für Vegetarier ist ein gutes Angebot vorhanden. Zahlung mit EC-Karte möglich, jedoch keine Kreditkarte.

Wahnsinnig leckeres Essen! Unser Highlight war der "sexy Pie", der im Filoteig gebackene Ziegenkäse mit Granatapfelkernen, ein Traum. Die Meze, Der überbackene Ziegenkäse als Hauptgericht mit Pflaumen und Rucola war auch fein, nur der Fischeintopf war etwas zu salzig. Dazu hatten wir den orangenen Babawein, der auch etwas besonderes war. Der Service war in Ordnung und sehr nett. Gerne wieder!

Amazing food, warm welcome and outstanding service. The ambient is cute, little piece of Balkan nested in Berlin. Sexy pie was super delicious, first time i tried such unique combination and i was pleasantly surprised. I'm not sure about the name but if you ask about the dish made from tongue (10/10 must try) Everything is fresh and price is really good (especially for Berlin) I cant wait to return ❤️

Amazing place and delicious food!!! I really enjoyed as it reminded me of home. I was there with my colleagues, who are all around the world with a very different food preference, but we found the best option for everyone. 5 stars rating for the food itself but also for the service. We were yesterday in the Armenius markhall to enjoy a lovely Serbian evening. Our dream came through. Lovely diner with cevapcici and goatcheese with home made tomato sauce, lovely wine from South of Serbia and sljivovic rakija. The father and two boys from Beograd were very kind and friendly. Unser neues Lieblingsrestaurant! Das Essen hier ist unglaublich lecker. Wirklich alles, was wir bisher ausprobiert haben (6 verschiedene Gerichte glaube ich), war absolut köstlich. Die Getränke, die wir hatten (Rose und Bier vom Fass) waren auch top und schöön kalt. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir könnten echt zufriedener nicht sein. Jedes Mal, wenn wir hier her kommen, ist ein toller Abend garantiert. :)

Wer echte serbische Ćevapi kennt und mag, oder wer diese probieren will, dann ist Šljiva der richtiger Ort. Die Ćevapi schmelzen im Mund. Die Atmosphäre in der Markthalle ist sowieso immer gemütlich und einen Besuch wert, da ist Šljiva genau richtig. Puno uspjeha i dalje!

Wir waren in einer Gruppe an einem Freitag Abend dort. Ein sehr gemütliches und schönes Restaurant. Essen fand ich toll - vor allem die Auswahl an Vorspeisen und serbischen Weinen. Netter und persönlicher Service und die Preise im Mittel-preisigen Bereich. Am Anfang haben die Getränke etwas gedauert aber dafür war der Rose aus Serbien wirklich toll. Ich hätte auch gerne den Rotwein probiert aber das hat nicht ganz gepasst. Gerne dann beim nächsten Besuch. Es gibt nur einen Kritikpunkt am Besuch: Alle Mitarbeiter haben Maske getragen und Hygienevorschriften eingehalten - außer ein Herr der wirkte wie der Chef - das fand ich schade und ein bißchen respektlos- da diese Person quer durch das gesamte Restaurant lief und fröhlich laut mit anderen Gästen redete. Schade - das hat uns ein unsicheres Gefühl gegeben und dadurch bleibt das Restaurant in gemischter Erinnerung.

Sorry, aber das Plescavića und die Cevapcici hatten die Konsistenz von Gummi und waren schlicht versalzen. Preis-/Leistung heute unterdurchschnittlich. You can do it better!

Excellent lamb and octopus dishes, simple and good. The setting is the old Market Hall in Moabit which itself deserves the detour. Plenty to see and taste here.
