Four of us were at the Schützenhaus Reutlingen in the late afternoon. We made reservations in advance because we wanted to eat outside in the beer garden. That was a good idea because the beer garden was completely booked. We had pork loin, game goulash, smoked trout and small salads as starters. Afterwards there was a lemon mousse with blueberries. And all the dishes were really tasty. During the meal someone from the service kept coming and asking if everything was OK. It was pretty perfect and we felt very comfortable.

Overall, happy again. We had to wait a long time for the food.

Great location in the middle of the forest, good home-style food and nice service. Prices are a bit high, but I'll be happy to come back.

The price-performance ratio is great, large portions and fair prices. The service was also good, but unfortunately the ambience in the interior wasn't particularly impressive; it might need some renovation.

Great excursion restaurant. Kitchen and service with heart. There are hiking trails for short tours in the immediate vicinity. Afterwards there is a small playground available for kids. If it works, you can also observe animals in the game reserve next door. We enjoyed being guests.

Food terribly bad! Without spice! Dumplings only bread mixture, all dishes warmed up and not really hot! Service was overly friendly, but not genuine and inattentive

Sehr gepflegtes, gut bürgerliches Restaurant im Wald, am Rand eines Wildgeheges. Sehr komplette Speisekarte. Sehr leckere Gerichte (auch für Vegetarier)! Freundliche, engagierte Bedienung.

The kitchen had forgotten vinegar, oil and spices for the Swiss sausage salad. That came separately afterwards. Simple cooking oil and simple vinegar. A pity!

I/we liked it very much. We will be back definitely. I mentioned when making the reservation by phone that we would be coming with a dog 🐕. To our great surprise and joy, there was a bowl of water at the table for our Nanni. We have NEVER experienced this before! Service-oriented and animal-loving, super, great. This is a really idyllic guesthouse. Very friendly staff...the food was very plentiful and tasty. Price performance totally great. Gladly again.

Great restaurant, good value for money and the quality is great. The cakes look great. The service is very friendly and accommodating. You can watch deer at the enclosure. Only the parking situation is not quite optimal, but there are many paths for walking. It makes sense to reserve. There is a great playground with a sandpit for children. There is also a large beer garden. We really enjoyed it and would love to come back.

We were there with a group of about 50 people for a celebration. Unfortunately, the restaurant's planning was catastrophic. After about 2 hours of waiting, the food arrived, which really disappointed us. Partly raw meat, which was ordered medium, mashed potatoes instead of fried potatoes and burnt schnitzel. The understaffed service staff were completely overwhelmed, and after asking 4 times we still didn't get any water.

Very, very tasty food and friendly, quick service. We have also celebrated baptisms here and were always very satisfied. Eating to-go is always wonderful too. See you again soon!

Free parking spaces available. Payment possible by card or cash. Staff friendly and attentive. There are enough seats and on the garden terrace in summer. Large selection of cakes & tarts. Big pieces. Food and drinks are quickly brought to the table. Large playground for children available. Large portions and attractively presented. Price/performance ratio is normal. It's nice that there are also beautiful historical discs of honor hanging in the guest area.

It's so beautiful here. The ambience really appealed to me. The furnishings are great between rustic and modern. Food fantastic. There were 4 of us there and everyone ordered something different from the lunch menu. Very tasty and appealing. Here is something for everyone. There are many options between hearty and vegetarian. After eating then a little digestive walk. There we saw an enclosure, Bambi and a family in the free run. Very nice. I was as happy as a little child 👍. We come here more often now.

The onion roast is recommended, as are Maultaschen...

A wonderful place to treat yourself to a delicious Sunday lunch on the outdoor terrace on a warm spring day. Despite being busy, the service was friendly and courteous, and the wild garlic spaetzle and the game dish were very tasty.

Always worth a trip in summer. Right next to the game reserve, you can first watch the game and then later enjoy the delicacies from the shooting house. Or you can take a digestive walk around the game reserve 😉 The staff is always super nice and if you can sit outside in the summer, it's just really nice. However, be sure to make a reservation on weekends, as it is always busy here. There is free parking right in front of the restaurant and a small playground for the kids. The sausage salad is super delicious.

Very nice location👍😊 the sausage salad was carelessly prepared, the onion 🧅 was actually whole, Then a banana split was ordered for the children because we had them shared because a portion would have been too big for the small children....an extra charge was immediately added....(the staff were very uncomfortable when they told us this) even though that less at the end there were only half balls, well one more plate to wash up...... the boss was just lucky that I was in the toilet and my wife didn't tell me the whole thing until later... once and never again stood at every table Unfortunately no one came when they made reservations. I strongly suspect that they want the guests to disappear quickly so that the new ones can be taken in in order to earn quick money, well 🫤 The boss is very lucky with her staff, super friendly

Today we spontaneously went out for dinner again and, as always, everything was delicious. Pork loin with mushrooms, wild garlic spaetzle and whiskey sauce😋

Interesting location in the Markwasen Forest with a historical hall, shooting targets and trophies. Game dishes are very tasty, especially the wild garlic varieties, Spätzle and Puree Topping. Nice service, but some orders go missing, e.g. espressos

Friendly staff and delicious food. Unfortunately, I was only able to find a parking space at a party. In cold temperatures it is very cold in the hallway between the hall and the toilets.

I didn't know the Schützenhaus Reutlingen, it was a coincidence that we ended up there! All I can say about the food is that it was super delicious 😋!! The price is a little bit more expensive, but it's definitely worth it because you actually notice it when you eat it! Quality just has its price. Service was courteous and friendly. We didn't have to wait long for our food. There is enough parking space in front of the location. The restaurant also has a fenced-in playground, which is of course ideal for families. I think it's great that the restaurant has a huge enclosure for deer etc., which is a great place to stretch your legs after eating and have a "quick" look at the deer. We were definitely not there for the last time! Absolutely recommended!🫶

Very good cuisine! Fresh, no convenience! The price is in balance with the quality! The only drawback is the creativity of the Chef de Cousine and the Sous-Chef! The chef de partie could have noticed it too!!!!! A Caribbean plate with turkey! Based on the name, I would rather choose “island-shot” parrot!

Actually a tip top place to go for good. Bourgeois cuisine in Reutlingen. The menu is clear, which I really appreciate, and the service is easy. Fabulous. Fabulous. In terms of price, it's on the higher side, but if you want quality, you're happy to pay a few euros more. More. Last time I tried to eat rabbit again. Unfortunately, that didn't blow me away - although I can't even say that it was the kitchen or simply the taste of the rabbit meat itself.

We ate very well. The portions are large and very good. The service is A1.

Wow! Diese Jahr das beste Restaurant, mit Abstand. Super Service, nettes Ambiente und das Essen war zum Niederknien. Wir feierten den hundertsten Geburtstag meiner Schwiegeroma und waren alle sehr begeistert von dem leckeren Essen. Ich persönlich empfehle das Rumpsteak mit Birnen und Gorgonzola Sauce, hätte ich gekonnt, ich hätte es gleich noch einmal gegessen. Preis/Leistung finde ich vollkommen ok, für sehr gutes Essen. Alles in allem TOP!

Der Service war top. Ein Ambiente ist immer auch Geschmackssache. Aber den Geruch der Toiletten könnte und sollte man dringend ändern. Vom Essen war ich enttäuscht. Salat mit panierten Pilzen: Blattsalat, der oben lag, war ok, Croutons nicht knusprig, Kraut pampig und wohl aus dem Eimer...Die Pilze, auf die ich mich gefreut hatte, waren völlig geschmacklos, teils gummiartig und feucht - auch die Pannade hat nach fast nichts geschmeckt. Ich tippe: TK-Pilze einfach mal so frittiert - mit nix..... Da meine Mama mit dem Wildschweinbraten sehr zufrieden war und eingeladen hatte und es auch meinen Nichten weitgehend geschmeckt hat (Ausnahme: "Schweinelendchen zu trocken"), habe ich vor Ort - leider - nichts gesagt

Eine sehr schöne Wirtschaft in einer tollen ruhigen Umgebung. Der Service und das Essen sind sehr gut. Verschiedene, auch außergewöhnliche Gerichte, Preis-, Leistung sind völlig in Ordnung. Jetzt vor der Weihnachtszeit gibt es zu Kaffee & Co. selbstgebackene, superleckere Plätzchen. Und auch die Kuchen sind sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir waren am Sonntag, 05.11.23, zum Essen hier und sind sehr zufrieden nach Hause gegangen. Sowohl der nette und aufmerksame Sevice als auch die Speisen (Schweinesteak / Spinatknödel) waren hervorragend. Ich schreibe selten Rezensionen. Aber das ist es wirklich wert! Danke für den schönen Abend!

Solch ein schlechtes Wildgulasch habe ich noch nicht gegessen. Das Fleisch war trocken und noch hart. Es sah so aus, als ob es in der Mikrowelle erwärmt worden wäre. Die Portion mengenmässig sehr übersichtlich. Schade.

Wir waren insgesamt zufrieden, der Service war freundlich und gut. Beim gemischten Salat war der Kartoffelsalat lecker, der Selleriesalat war sauer und nicht mehr gut. Als wir darauf hingewiesen hatten kam eine Entschuldigung. Wäre schön gewesen dafür eine kleine Entschädigung anzubieten. Beim Hauptgericht Wildschwein war der Geschmack lecker, besonders die Soße war gut. Leider war eine Scheibe davon sehr trocken. Die Bratkartoffeln dazu schwammen im Fett und waren leider nicht knusprig, Geschmack war ok. Bei den Rinderbäckchen war das Fleisch recht trocken, der Geschmack war ok. Das Matjesfilet hatte eine undefinierbare untypische Soße/ Creme dabei, der Geschmack war ok. Werden wir wiederkommen… eventuell noch ein Versuch.

Schön gelegenes Lokal, aufmerksames Personal. Unverständlich, wieso meine Speiseauswahl so wenig gut gewesen war : Matjes Filets mit Bratkartoffeln, bei dem die Matjesfilets mit einer Art Quark- Gurken „Pampe“ bestrichen waren und auf völlig ungenießbaren Apfelscheiben lagen, die nicht frisch und knackig waren und eine ungenießbare harte Schale hatten. Ich war enttäuscht! Das ist nämlich an heißen Tagen einer meiner Lieblingsgerichte! ich rate davon ab das hier zu bestellen ! Die anderen Gerichte am Tisch waren jedoch recht gut! Ich hoffe, dass mein Essen ein « Ausrutscher » war!!

Haben gestern dort Kommunion gefeiert. Sehr sehr freundliche und kompetente Mitarbeiter/Kellner. Haben immer geschaut das alles gut war und jeder trinken hatte. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Hat alles gepasst. Würde jederzeit wieder dort eine Feier machen. Waren sehr zufrieden. Echt top 👍👍👍👍👍Super gemacht

Typisch Deutsch… 20:30 Küche dicht 👎nichts geht mehr obwohl bis 22:00 offen. Dann geht’s halt zum Griechen oder Italiener oder Inder

Sehr schön gelegen mit nettem Garten. Das Essen war sehr gut und preisgünstig. Der Service ist freundlich, bringt aber manches nicht in die Reihe. Zuerst langes Warten auf Getränke, die auch nicht alle auf einmal serviert wurden. Essen für drei Personen kam jeweils extra. Nachbestellung von Getränken dauerte trotz mehrfacher Mahnung länger als eine halbe Stunde. Schade, Ambiente und Essensqualität hätten sonst gestimmt!

Man sitzt hervorragend draußen, drinnen ist es nicht so gemütlich. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Portionen ausreichend. Leider waren ein paar Essen, welche auf der Karte standen nicht mehr verfügbar, hier sollte die Bedienung es einem Mitteilen und nicht erst wenn man die Bestellung aufgeben hat. Aber imGrossen und Ganzen empfehlenswert.

Tolle Atmosphäre und sehr gutes Essen waren wieder einmal am Wochenende angesagt. Wir saßen auf der Terrasse und genossen den Sonnenschein und die Waldluft. Ich hatte die Schweinelendchen und meine Tochter die Schnitzel Wiener Art mit Pommes. Alles wie immer sehr gut.

Solide , schwäbische Küche. Personal war freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Die Gerichte waren gut uns ansprechend angerichtet. Das Preis / Leistungsverhältnis war ok.

Bei uns fest gesetzt, ist das Schützenhaus vor dem Naturtheater, da es hier zum Glück nicht nur von der Lage her sondern auch vom Angebot passt. Daher waren wir auch schon beim Wandern oder zu Familienfesten hier und eigentlich immer sehr zufrieden.

Sehr schöne Außenanlagen inmitten dem Wasenwald mit sehr schönen Sitzgelegenheiten und Sonnenschirmen . Auf jeden Fall reservieren für einen außenpolitischen Terrasse und dann den superfreundlichen Service und die Spitzenqualität genießen . Auch in diesen außergewöhnlichem Zeiten ist man hier gut aufgehoben ,alles wird sofort desinfiziert ,Eingang und Ausgang getrennt und immer eine freundliche Antwort auf Wünsche .Essen und Getränkeauswahl super und immer eine Nachfrage ob alles ok …..Jung und dynamisch die servicekräfte ,ein Lichtblick in Ihrer Art und Weise , die freundliche Tochter der Besitzerin ……….Ob Kaffee und Kuchen oder Mittagessen bzw.Abendessen einfach sehr sehr gut .wir werden immer wieder vorbei kommen !,

Wir mussten 45 Minuten auf die Getränke warten und das Essen kam auch erst nach über 1 Stunde. Unsere Kinder sitzen natürlich nicht so lange und hatten dann keinen Hunger mehr. Spätzle mit Soße für Kinder könnte etwas schneller serviert werden. Das Essen war geschmacklich in Ordnung. Die Kartoffeln etwas lieblos angerichtet. Die Servicekräfte waren sehr freundlich. Warum alles solange gedauert hat wissen wir jedoch nicht. Schade...

An einem Werktag waren wir als Gruppe von 11 Personen zum Mittagessen. Das Ambiente im Speiseraum war sehr gemütlich, einladend und sauber. Obwohl jeder von uns eine andere Speise bestellt hatte, bekamen wir unser Essen alle gleichzeitig. Es war durchweg lecker und schmackhaft, ein großes Lob an die Küche! Und auch an das sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Servicepersonal! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

We tried their autumn menu and were not disappointed. The wild boar schnitzel with sesame crust was a new interpretation and very tender. Wine list was excellent with mostly local Württemberg quality wines and staff was very attentive.
