It was our first time at the Schnitzelhus in Rotenburg an der Wümme. The schnitzels are delicious but the prices are not. Whether it's sauce, ketchup, mayonnaise, vegetables and the like, you have to dig deep into your pockets to get a full plate. What you can expect from drinks is enormous. The ambience is pleasant. We were there as a group of 14 people. Unfortunately there was no opportunity to sit together and we were split between two tables. That was a real shame. The service was great, people always asked if there was anything else needed, the food came quickly, was hot and beautifully presented. A restaurant for the unusual.

Definitely 5/5 stars. Great service and great food. The gentleman who served us was very nice and attentive. The wine was continually refilled. The food came quickly and was really delicious. As a starter there was boiled beef bouillon with meatballs and vegetables. The main course is schnitzel with chanterelles and cream sauce. And then the crowning finale, pancakes with nougat chocolate. Great wine recommendation. The espresso rounded everything off. Very, very happy again.

Hello, we were guests at Schizel hus. We knew what we wanted after being informed about the offer online. Starter: Tafelspitz bouillon with meatballs and vegetables. So delicious 😋 Main course: Veal schnitzel with Viennese fried potatoes and Champion cream sauce. Sooo, so delicious 😋 Dessert: Kauserschmarn with raisins and apple compote super delicious 😋 😋. The meal was rounded off with a semi-dry red Burgundy. Our waiter was super attentive without being intrusive. We can only recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to dine in a great atmosphere.

An uncompromisingly good schnitzel house. No matter whether veal, pork or turkey schnitzel with classic or unusual breading. The selection of sauces is particularly noteworthy. Horseradish and thyme sauce were very convincing. The selection of drinks is also impressive. House wheat is Maisel's Weisse - schnapps is available from Prinz. The slightly higher price is also uncompromising, but is reasonable considering the food.

Overall it was very good. Toilets clean, food tasted very good, staff very friendly. The price is actually higher than what you are used to.

Idyllically located away from the pedestrian zone, you will find this inviting, cozy restaurant serving Austrian cuisine. You immediately feel like you've slowed down, you're warmly welcomed and that continues throughout your entire stay. And then this delicious meal... Three meat options and one vegetarian for the schnitzels, toppings and sauces (14) in different variations - it was difficult to decide. The sauces are also served in a separate bowl so that the delicious breading (8 different types) does not become soggy. We'll be back, reservations are recommended!

100% recommendation! The welcome is always friendly and always very polite, the food is a 12/10 and the ambience is exceptional. If you want to eat out in Rotenburg, you shouldn't miss the Schnitzelhus.

The food was perfect...I couldn't decide what to eat, so I made one out of 3 menus and it tasted great. With the pepper sauce, you can taste the pepper. Very child friendly and our four-legged friend was allowed in too. We definitely come here more often. Thank you very much!! Addendum....at the weekend we celebrated my son's 18th birthday, this time in the Rotenburg....when we made our reservation we immediately stated that we had a small dog with us. I couldn't find any relevant information about it on the website. Since we were there a little earlier, the boss (I assume) came to meet us and said we were allowed in, even though it wasn't open yet. At 40 years old, I have never met such a good-humored and friendly person!!!! We took some time when ordering, that wasn't a problem at all, even the girl was very friendly. Yes, the food is a little expensive, I'm willing to pay that if everything is right. It's definitely true here. The service was great, the food was delicious, the place was nicely decorated and clean.

We were super hungry after a 14km hike in the heath. Went here. Very friendly service. The pork schnitzel was very, very tender. Additions were also all well seasoned. All around, we were very enthusiastic. For dessert there were pancakes and Kaiserschmarrn... highly recommended. This restaurant looks a bit strange from the outside, not necessarily inviting, but the inside is really great. Worth stopping by. A nice restaurant, very nice boss, food was very tasty, but unfortunately too expensive. So in my opinion the price/performance ratio was not met. Had to wait over an hour for food.

We are very excited. The food was phenomenal, the service was excellent and the ambience was great too. I followed the boss's personal recommendation and had a coriander chili sauce with my schnitzel. It was a dream!! Thanks again for that :) If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back. We carry the recommendation to visit this restaurant all the way to Hesse. However, we will also mention that good food and service comes at a price ;)

A very nice (by far the most beautiful restaurant in Rotenburg) restaurant with really delicious schnitzel and other Austrian delicacies. Everything tastes really good and seems like it's really fresh. Only side dishes, desserts and sauces are priced way too high for me. Therefore one star less. We would still like to come back.

We were absolutely thrilled with the delicious and freshly prepared food 🤩. We ate pancake soup, schnitzel with very tasty breading, Kaiserschmarren and palat ham. Absolutely delicious, very friendly boss and staff. Absolute recommendation 🤩🤩

On the return trip after our holiday we visited the Schnitzelhus. This is one of the best schnitzels we have eaten in Germany! The prices are on the high side, but it's worth it. In addition, the service is very friendly. We will definitely come back.

Delicious food for schnitzel lovers at quite high prices.

This afternoon we sat on the beautiful, inviting terrace in the best weather and had a delicious meal. It was a nice stay all around.

Completely overrated food, bland sauces and everything expensive, I've had much better schnitzel in the surrounding area for much less money. My pregnant wife was denied access to the bathroom a few weeks after our visit. That's why there won't be a second visit

We can only praise the good service and the delicious schnitzel. My husband was relieved because he was able to get started right away and didn't have to cut the meat for me (one arm is in a bandage). The owner kindly cut it up for me.

A little more expensive, very tasty and fresh, excellently prepared food. Very attentive and friendly service. We will be back.

We finally made it to the new Schnitzelhus. It's supposed to be very expensive compared to Rotenburg, as we've heard here and there in sports clubs, etc. - If everything fits for the price, we'll accept it, we answered so far and wanted to test it ourselves. Unfortunately not everything was right for the price... Ambiance: fits. Service: nothing to complain about. BUT... you can order an extra filling/topping/sauce for a few euros to go with the already really expensive schnitzel. Especially when the sauce has to be ordered separately for over €5, you naturally expect a great taste experience and something extra on the plate... unfortunately the sauce was very bland... The same applied to the "house dressing" for the side salad that was ordered (for a fee): unfortunately it tasted completely boring and had no kick or spice whatsoever. My “everyday dressing” at home tastes fresher and more exciting. Conclusion: Nothing was seriously bad here. But unfortunately the food was absolutely not worth the price. There was a (small but nice) highlight missing that could have made us a repeat guest. There wasn't. A pity.

We went to the Schnitzelhus for the first time today and were very impressed. Firstly, the very warm welcome. Then we were brought to the table. Then we got our drinks and then the delicious Food and you could immediately see that the eye was always eating too. Such a delicious vegetable garnish. 😋 The steak was well fried. By chance, during a visit to Rotenburg a.d.Wümme, our path led us to the Schnitzelhus. Even though we hadn't made a reservation, a table was quickly found for us. The extensive menu didn't make it easy for us to choose the dish, but we each found a dish for ourselves. The service in the restaurant was unbeatable, all dishes were served deliciously. The waitress looked after us very devotedly and when we left the restaurant we knew that we would visit the Schnitzelhus again the next time we were in Rotenburg. We give the restaurant full marks (5 ⭐️)

We were warmly welcomed and given a nice table in the beautifully furnished restaurant. The service was quick, attentive (they brought a high chair straight away) and very personable and child-friendly. The selection of schnitzels is very individual, starting with the choice of veal, turkey, pork or vegetarian schnitzel, continuing with the optional breading, various sauces, then various fillings, various toppings and ending with additional side dishes. It wasn't that easy to decide, but we were all very happy with our choice! It was really delicious! There was also dessert and everyone was happy here too! We'd love to come back if we ever find ourselves in Rotenburg again!

Best schnitzel above the white sausage equator. There was pork schnitzel with onions and potato salad. The salad was a bit too sour, a pinch of sugar would have been good. We were pleasantly surprised and would love to come back.

It was beautiful all around. We didn't make a reservation, but a place was found for us immediately. Super nice and friendly service, they gave us very good advice about the sauces. All I can say is...three thumbs up. To eat....absolutely delicious and recommended....👍👍👍

We first tried the basics, normal size veal schnitzel with normal breading. Next time maybe with filling. The schnitzel was a reasonable size, pounded thin and tasty like in Vienna. The Viennese fried potatoes were great, the warm potato salad had a bit too much vinegar for my taste, but still delicious. Finally potato salad without mayo... When it came to the hollondaise sauce, I wondered if it wasn't from a tetra pack. It was tasty, yes, but I also have high expectations given the price range. The seasonal baked heather asparagus that was offered was super delicious. I would eat it again at any time, with a breaded coating. However, it lives up to its name with “white gold”: €10 for 4 stalks of asparagus. For the side salad at €5.90 or €6.90 (I can't remember at the moment) you got a decently large portion, but the salad itself wasn't anything special, there was homemade yoghurt dressing on it, but it tasted very bland. There was no special kick, nothing special, the dressing tasted 0815. But in the price range this restaurant is in, I expect something special. Anyone who has ever been to the Pegasus/Lerchenkrug in Waffensen knows what I mean. The Obstler, on the other hand, was also great. We tried apricot and raspberry in the mid-price segment. We recommend! I don't really like anything distilled, but this fruit schnapps was smooth, pleasant and very tasty! Conclusion: It is really very tasty, but also very expensive. Sometimes I don't have enough of a kick, because the veal schnitzel was delicious, but nothing that made me say, WOW!!! Next time I'll try turkey 😊 So, this restaurant is not (yet) where I would go with my two children, but with my in-laws it would be.

The quality of the food is really excellent, you can taste that they cook here with fresh, regional ingredients. I had the veal schnitzel with fried potatoes. Both prepared perfectly. The portions are generous, you should be very hungry for the XL portion. Good selection of Franconian beers. The price/performance ratio is completely okay given the quality. Nice ambience, good service, delicious food, a bit more expensive, reservation makes sense. The only drawback: Fish and shrimp are advertised on the signage outside, but they can only be found on the menu in the salad (shrimp) and as an addition to the schnitzel (anchovies). This also led to different expectations/questions at the next table.

The ambience is really great, seems rustic. The new owner has spruced it up with beautiful new interiors. Very stylishly furnished. It actually seems Austrian, in the middle of Rotenburg. The service was great. They have their rules, which are clearly communicated. It's better to reserve in advance. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The food is great, already of a higher standard. The potato salad is simply incredibly authentic. If you like Bavarian/Austrian cuisine, you will 100% find it here. The price is absolutely reasonable for this quality. If you want to go out to eat and treat yourself to something, then you've come to the right place.

The storage is as cozy as ever. We found the food very tasty (veal schnitzel). But the shop is not for quick meals, because you can put together your own schnitzel (which meat/which breading/if necessary, filling or topping) and of course that takes time and has its price. Personally, I was still missing the selection of chicken schnitzel 😉. We will visit the restaurant again.

It is strange that the breading for the schnitzel has to be ordered and paid for separately. The fried potatoes turned out to be quartered potatoes with paprika powder that were fried... Charging over twenty euros for this is not justified.

Wir hatten einen Tisch für 2 Personen problemlos reserviert, das Ambiente in dem Restaurant ist in Ordnung und der freundliche Kellner hat uns schnell bedient. Die Auswahl an Schnitzeln und dessen Zubehör wie Panade, Füllung und Beilage ist sehr vielfältig und lecker. Für meinen Geschmack zu wenig Gemüse und preislich etwas zu teuer in Anbetracht dessen das die Mwst. am Jahresende wieder auf 19% steigen soll.

Der Service im Restaurant ist super. Man wird sehr freundlich beraten und informiert. Das Essen schmeckt auch wirklich sehr lecker, ist aber meiner Meinung nach zu teuer. Ja die Panaden und Saucen sind selbst gemacht und ja es handelt sich, so steht's zumindest geschrieben, um hochwertige Produkte. Trotzdem kann ich nicht für eine Cornflakes Panade 3,50 € berechnen oder für Käse überbacken 3,90 €. Eine Packung Käse mit 500 Gramm kostet 3 € im Laden.... Die Sauce mit Pfifferlingen war ebenfalls lecker, nur hätte ich genau 6 kleine Pfifferlinge in meiner Sauce. Und nur die Sauce alleine hat schon 6,90 € gekostet. Also nochmal. Service gut, Essen lecker, Portionsgröße ebenfalls OK, aber Preise gerade für die sämtlichen Zusätze wie Saucen oder Panaden wirklich deutlich zu teuer. Knapp 30€ pro Schnitzel ist schon eine Ansage!

Ein sehr nettes Restaurant mit sehr leckeren Schnitzelvariationen. Leider sind mit der neuen Karte nicht nur die Preise explodiert, sondern es ist jetzt eine Art Baukasten, wo selbst die einfache Panade extra bezahlt werden muss. Ich finde das sehr schade.

Für alle Schnitzel Liebhaber und Leute die gerne mal gut Essen gehen, ist das das richtige Restaurant. Das Schnitzel war genauso wie man es erwarten sollte, dünn, mit großzügiger Panade, wunderschön souffliert und in Butter geschwenkt. Jegliche Saucen nach Wahl sind selbst gemacht und Zutaten regional eingekauft. Der Service war bei unserem Aufenthalt sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, man fühlte sich willkommen.

Vorbestellung erforderlich weil immer sehr gut Besucht. Der Grund das sehr gute und 😋 Essen . Ich bin Mindestens 2x im Jahr hier ,ich würde ja jeden Tag essen gehen im Schnitzelhus aber der Weg (450km) 😀

Mit einem Wort: Schnitzelorgasmus. ;-) Man kann sich sein Traumschnitzel komplett selbst zusammenstellen - auch eine vegetarische Variante. Die Zutaten sind frisch und gut ausgesucht, das schmeckt man. Gerne wieder, dann aber in einer schöneren Location.

Das Essen war geschmacklich und qualitativ gut. Ob man für ein Schnitzel mit Beilagen ohne Schnickschnack jedoch 30 bis 40 bezahlen möchte muss man sich selbst überlegen. Die modulare Karte bietet viel kreativen Spielraum, bei dem man plötzlich auf 50 Euro pro Essen kommt, so man diesen entfaltet. Wir saßen im "Vorzelt" an Gartentischen mit entsprechender Bestulung. Ich habe noch nie in einem Restaurant Blanchet Wein gesehen. Der taugt bestenfalls zum Ablöschen in der Küche, würde von mir jedoch nicht neben den Tischen der Gäste in einem großen Weinregal gelagert.

Sehr gute Küche. Hier wird auf möglichst gesunde Zutaten geachtet. Im Sommer ist alles voll. Wir hatten Glück, waren im Mai. 👍

Sehr teuer für wenig essen , alles kostet extra ne Soße 4,90€ das is schon doll. Geschmacklich ganz ok . Aber der Preis hat den Geschmack getrübt. Ansonsten sehr freundlich, aber ich fahre beim nächsten mal vorbei.

Das Schnitzel ist jeden Euro wert, der Service super :)

Wir haben online nach einem Restaurant gesucht. Wegen der guten Bewertungen sind wir hin. Diese können wir auch bestätigen. Wären wir einfach die Straße entlang, wären wir nicht rein gegangen. Es sieht leider nicht wirklich einladend aus. Das Essen aber war top. Preise sind happig, dadurch dass aber alles frisch ist und auch frisch zubereitet wird, ist es okay. Der Kellner war spitze. Wusste alles in Bezug auf Allergien und war sehr sympathisch. Man konnte auch beobachten, wie kinderfreundlich er war.

Ich kann es nicht anders sagen: die besten Schnitzel die wir bisher gegessen haben! Mega Auswahl (Panaden, Soßen, Füllungen, Belage etc.) , sehr nettes Personal und die Frische schmeckt man! Bitte vom "Äußeren" des Restaurants nicht täuschen lassen. 100%ige Weiterempfehlung!

Wir hatten diverse Gerichte zur Abholung bestellt und waren eher enttäuscht. Das Essen war mittlerer Standard, allerdings keinerlei Beilagen wie Gemüse, Salatgarnitur oder Soßen, die Portionen gerade so ausreichend. Die Pilzsoße zum Jägerschnitzel eher geschmacksneutral. Mancher Imbiss macht es besser.

Mitte Juni waren wir mit Freunden aus Soltau zum Essen dort. Die Reservierung hat gut geklappt, wir bekamen einen 4er Tisch im Aussenbereich Die Auswahl an Schnitzel ist großartig, es gibt die Schnitzel sowohl als Schweineschnitzel als auch als Kalbsschnitzel, Qualität und Geschmack sehr gut, dir Sauce zum Schnitzel wurde in einem Extraschälchen serviert, so dass das Schnitzel nicht in der Sauce "schwamm". Salat sehr frisch; Beilagenauswahl sehr gut Der Servicemitarbeiter hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen, war sehr aufmerksam und höflich und hat auch Sonderwünsche sofort aufgenommen und Empfehlungen ausgesprochen Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist passend Wir werden bei unserem nächsten Besuch gerne wieder dort zum Essen gehen

Wir waren im Juni 2022 an einem Montagabend im Restaurant Schnitzelhus in Schneverdingen. Im Vorfeld hatten wir online einen Tisch reserviert. Das Restaurant bietet eine große Auswahl an Schnitzelvariationen. Ich hatte das mit getrockneten Tomaten und Basilikum gefüllte Schnitzel von der Tageskarte, dazu das gebratene Gemüse. Leider hat sowohl das Schnitzel bzw. die in Öl eingelegten getrockneten Tomaten als auch das Gemüse vor Öl nur so getropft. Auch der Nachtisch - Kaiserschmarrn - hat uns nicht überzeugt. Er war - nach unserem Geschmack - leider nicht fluffig, sonder eher nicht ganz durchgebacken. Der Service war präsent und aufmerksam.

Wir haben Essen dort zum Abholen bestellt. Toll war das die Soßen extra waren damit das panierte Schnitzel nicht durch weicht. Geschmacklich wirklich gut, Pommes hätten etwas knuspriger sein können. Von der Größe wirklich reichlich. Schönes dünne Schnitzel, die weder trocken waren noch vor Fett getrieft haben.

Wir hätten dort gerne Mittagspause gemacht. Die Bitte um Strom für den Pedelec-Akku gegen Erzählung würde jedoch mit unfreundlichen Worten abgeschmettert. Wir sind dann weitergezogen.

Waren bei Freunden zu Besuch und fuhren wieder zum Essen ins Schnitzelhus. Wir waren so wie im vergangenen Jahr sehr begeistert, nicht nur vom Essen, vom Service, der Nachtisch war die Krönung. Ein Teller voller Köstlichkeiten, eine bunte Mischung aus Apfelstrudel, Kaiserschmarrn.... Mit Eis, Pflaumen, Apfelmus und Sahne. Der Nachtisch allein war den Besuch wert, die Schnitzel natürlich auch.

Nach der langen Pause nun endlich wieder offen. Die Einrichtung hat sich nochmal positiv verändert. - Super Service - Schnell und ohne lange Wartezeiten. - Und vor allem sehr lecker.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, Top Essen und ein mega freundlicher Kellner, was möchte man mehr ? Wir hatten einen schönen Abend in dem Lokal !
