Restaurant Schlosscafe in Dillenburg

We used to frequent this restaurant, which was then under Italian management. The outstanding location with its magnificent view of Dillenburg and the surrounding area remains. The menu offers German and Far Eastern cuisine. The prices have become more moderate. The food meets average standards—the staff is rather aloof.

Very nice view, good and cheap food

After a long time, I went to eat in Dillenburg again. At my favorite restaurant in the city. The new owner has created a lovely atmosphere. The food was very good and of very high quality. The service could be improved slightly; we weren't always asked for our order, and we had to wait a while for the food. (But that's complaining at a high level.) I think it was partly due to the full house and didn't think it was a big deal. Overall, we all thought it was a successful evening and would like to thank the team at Wilhelms. We'd be happy to come back!

The food was okay, but not good. The burgers were good, but the fries weren't cooked all the way through. The steak tasted good but was a bit tough. The service and manager were very nice and friendly. One small remark: If you have a restaurant with such a view, the windows should be clean.

Great food and drinks, a lovely location, and super friendly staff, plus a beautiful view of the entire Dillenburg! Highly recommended!

We love it here. Trattoria Tulipano is no longer there; it's now Wilhelm's Café and Restaurant.

The food was delicious, and combined with the tranquility, the ambiance is truly enjoyable, with a view of the city. It's very beautiful. There are no motorized cars here, no cyclists galloping past you. If you want to enjoy a delicious meal in peace, this is the place for you. An absolute treasure trove in Dillenburg.

I highly recommend this restaurant. We stopped by spontaneously just to have a beer, but the food looked so tempting that we decided to stay for lunch. And what can I say, it was simply sensational! We had the DanDan Asian noodles with minced meat, which were absolutely delicious. This restaurant is definitely an insider tip that you should definitely discover.

Nach Betreiberwechsel solltet ihr dem Restaurant und Cafe eine neue Chance geben. Nettes Ehepaar, mit Asiatischer und Europäischer Küche. Manchmal charmant chaotisch abe rimmer sehr bemüht es dem Gast recht zu machen.

We visited the new owner's restaurant for the first time today and are absolutely thrilled! Everything was delivered at the same time, which we really appreciated. Luckily, we were lucky enough to get fresh asparagus – a real highlight! We will definitely be back. The owners are super friendly, and the Asian-German concept is a perfect fit – a great combination that tastes really good. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

Nice little excursion restaurant/café right next to the castle ruins, great view, good, tasty food, very friendly, quite a few seats considering the location, we still have a birthday party so we got our food in an acceptable time... overall only 4 stars, but good 4 stars, there's no such thing as half...

Das Restaurant hat den Betreiber gewechselt und ist seit Ende September 24 unter neuer Leitung.! Leider gibt es keine Hinweise über eine Website oder Öffnungszeiten oder Speisenangebot!

A beautiful place above Dillenburg.

Hatte mehr erwartet! Sind spontan zum Mittagessen eingekehrt. Ich hatte das Bistecca ai Funghi e Cipolle. Das Fleisch war vor der Konsistenz her zu fest. Viele der Zwiebeln waren schwarz. Dem Espresso fehlte die Crema. Warum können die meisten italienischen Restaurants mit Ihren Profimaschinen keinen guten Espresso zubereiten?

Spontan hier mal eingekehrt. Alleine die Aussicht auf Dillenburg ist grandios. Das Lokal und der Chef sind schon urig. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Ich gehe seit vielen Jahren regelmäßig dort essen und habe immer super gegessen! Tolle antipasti wie auch zusätzliche Gerichte außerhalb der Standard Karte! Diese Tageskarte ist einfach super!

Wir kennen das Tulipano / Schlosscafe schon einige Jahre und wurden bisher nie enttäuscht. Die Lahe ist natürlich besonders, am Schlossberg, einen Steinwurf vom Wilhelmsturm entfernt und mit Blick auf die komplette Altstadt von oben. Heute hatten wir Vitello Tonnato als Vorspeise und Pasta mit Meeresfrüchten als Hauptgericht, beides war eine Tagesempfehlung. Sehr lecker, schön zubereitet und empfehlenswert. Die an sich zugegebeneemaßen übersichtlich gehaltene Speisekarte wird regelmäßig durch wechselnde Tagesgerichte ergänzt. Auch der Espresse zu Abschluss war echt italienisch, super heiß und stark - bekommt man in Zeiten von multifunktionellen Kaffeeautomaten nicht überall. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und können das Tulipano weiterempfehlen!

Endlich hat unser Lieblingsitaliener wieder geöffnet.

Wenn man keine Lust auf Gäste hat, sollte man was anderes machen als Gastro. Der (mundschutzlose) Mitarbeiter sagte uns, draußen essen geht nicht, denn es könne regnen. Das Risiko wolle er nicht eingehen.

Wer hochwertiges italienisches Essen zu schätzen weiß, ist hier genau richtig. Wir sind regelmäßig dort und genießen sowohl das immer gute Essen, als auch die Atmosphäre sehr. Der Gastwirt und die Bedienungen sind immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Preise sind bei der Qualität mehr als angemessen.
