Delivery time was announced as 45 minutes. Waiting almost two hours, food was cold.

The worst restaurant that has ever existed The food was still not lifted after 2 hours. Money has already been debited. They don't answer the phone anymore either. Called several times after 1 hour it said 10 minutes, now it's been 2 hours for delivery. After 2/5 hours the food was completely cold and disgusting.

We love it every time and have been buying falafel, hummus and baba ganoush there for years. Super nice people and very tasty food!

The shawarma meat used to be very good, but unfortunately today it is no longer tasty and it is small. The shawarma plate was missing the most important side dishes and there was very little on it and it tasted spoiled. A lot has changed. Unfortunately we weren't offered black tea because it was ready, although it's not difficult to make tea again. Instead they just brought us coffee. When I ended up paying a total of 37 euros and I said a friendly goodbye, he didn't reply back because he was probably upset that I didn't give him a 3 euro tip. I gave him 40 euros and got 3 euros back. So I had a reason why I didn't give him a tip. I won't eat here anymore.

Long wait, dishes came 10 minutes later drinks. The menu said a dish with salad, but instead of salad we were served cheap coleslaw salad, perhaps store-bought. The chicken was definitely not of the best quality. We expected good oriental cuisine, but instead we got a horrible experience. Really not recommended. No seasoning, the meat wasn't tender. The service wasn't attentive at all. We wanted to take the leftovers with us (it's a shame we just threw away so much money) and that was also forgotten. We waited and waited, then nothing came. We spoke to the waiter and he also forgot to pack the food. Very unprofessional. Unfortunately I can't recommend the restaurant at all.

Super delicious Syrian food and incredibly friendly and courteous staff! The food is always excellent and fresh, here you have the best falafel roll and great homemade ice cream (pistachio is highly recommended). Also suitable for vegetarians and vegans. And the prices are unbeatable.

Very tasty and unusual Syrian food with pungent acidity, which is probably typical of Syrian cuisine and ideal for hot summer nights, otherwise for my taste the acidity could be taken out a bit. We were very, very happy with the food, which seemed very fresh and invigorating, especially on hot summer evenings, and something different at that. As far as the lighting concept in the room itself is concerned, I wouldn't turn on all the lamps; I find it darker, not quite as bright, more comfortable. We sat outside and it was very nice in the warm summer night. Yesterday's employee is very nice, approachable and attentive. All in all a successful evening. We'll definitely be back.

I recently had the opportunity to visit this hidden gem of a restaurant and I loved it. Although the place is a little light on visitors, I can safely say that it deserves far more attention. The meal was excellent! The fresh shawarma was particularly a highlight – juicy, well-seasoned and simply delicious. The fries, which looked like potato slices, were also exceptionally good. They were crispy and perfectly seasoned. The salads were fresh and crunchy, and the kebab was equally excellent. The restaurant also deserves special praise because I am usually very sensitive and often get heartburn when I eat out. I had no complaints here. The food is not heavy on the stomach and the portions are generous. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. The choice of food is very diverse, and I was impressed by the homemade desserts, especially the homemade pounded ice cream. The authentic mocha rounded off the culinary experience perfectly. The food is also not expensive, which makes the price-performance ratio unbeatable. If you have a little patience, you will love this restaurant because everything is freshly prepared. Overall, this restaurant is a real insider tip and deserves a lot more visitors. The quality of the food, friendly service and wide selection make it a must for every foodie. I ordered two kebab plates, the meat didn't taste good at all, there weren't too many customers, our order in the restaurant took over 40 minutes.

It is a grill meal, not for two people. Please see if the appearance is not natural, and the Deep comes with grills. I know that it comes with more than one type of sauce. Deep comes with one sauce, but only one sauce. I mean, it was a sample, and the oil on top of it is not original.. and rice at all. Rice, not one person, and potatoes, with a handful, but what? This?? It is really a meal for 39€ euros, and we still ordered a dish like an offensive sandwich... She makes it alone at home, she feeds me and my whole family. He asked us and said, “I bring the finest types of meat, haha.” Ok, so either the price of the meal you are serving is low, or the customer has flawless food and good serving!!!

The food is still excellent - meat, chips, garlic cream, hummus - I love it. BUT unfortunately there is no longer a fresh salad as a side dish, but rather a (quite sugary) coleslaw. It doesn't really fit and tastes very average. I miss the fresh salads and the homemade pickled vegetables that used to round off the dishes perfectly. I would like that to be worth one or two euros more per dish...

The food there is absolutely delicious. The prices are ok, it has become expensive everywhere, but you get a decent amount here. The chip fries are world class. And yes, my God, deficiencies were found during a food inspection, but they were corrected. We're all just human, and I find it pretty outrageous that there are now comments here that simply post the excerpt from the inspection. Probably never eaten there before, the main thing was to make it important. I can definitely recommend the restaurant and will continue to eat there.

Made it onto the so-called disgusting list during a food inspection. Significant deficiencies were identified. According to the authority, the deficiencies were corrected on March 6, 2024. But I'll still avoid the store. Here is an excerpt from an article from KA News: In the “Schahbaa” at Karlstrasse 77, the main complaints were about improperly stored food. The deficiencies: empty tin can in a can with corn dirty plastic packaging directly on openly stored pickled peppers even frozen foods in open bowls Eggs in egg cartons two open cans of tomato market - one had a lid in it Meat without a cover, above it were wooden and cardboard boxes with uncleaned vegetables Food in plastic packaging on the vegetables Wilted cauliflower leaves hung through the grill above the meat and some had already fallen into the marinated meat open spice packs Uncovered containers, for example with sauce, in the refrigerators The spray attachment of a cream spray bottle had black spores on it Bowls stacked inside each other were not completely clean dirty trays and containers on a hanging shelf

The following deficiencies were noticed during the food inspection on January 18, 2024: - Pepperoni that had been stored open had soiled plastic packaging on it - Wooden and cardboard boxes with uncleaned vegetables stood on top of openly stored meat - Wilted cauliflower leaves were hanging through the grill above the marinated meat and some had already fallen in - The inspectors found residues of dirt and water in bowls stacked one inside the other - Dirty trays and containers on a hanging shelf During a follow-up inspection on March 6th, all defects were eliminated.

Nice Syrian food, but the portion sizes are a bit small for the prices. The veggie platter had only one piece of falafel and halloumi, which was a bit cold. The service is very quick. They accept card payments.

The design is very beautiful and has a Syrian feel. The food is super delicious! The best Syrian restaurant in Karlsruhe and the best Schwawarma can be found here. Staff is very friendly and since there was a delay in ordering, the employee gave us a falafel dish as an apology! Always my pleasure :)

I once wrote about “Too Good Too Go” picked something up. At first they didn't want to give me anything because the store was closed and they didn't know why I was there. But then I received a meal that smelled bad and tasted suspicious.

Very good grilled plate, the parsley salad was refreshing and the lamb skewers were tasty and well seasoned. I can only recommend it.

The delivery was stated to take 1.5 hours (which I think is a bit long for a Thursday) and then arrived 1 hour and 50 minutes after ordering. After I called I was told it would take a maximum of 5 minutes. The driver called because he couldn't find the house or the doorbell, so we had to go downstairs. Unfortunately the food was also cold. The gentleman on the phone was very friendly, so I can well imagine that (warm) food and the service on site are certainly good, but unfortunately we won't be having anything delivered anymore.

Löffelchen Reis war noch unten drunter. Damit war die Menüschale auch schon voll. Durchgehend alles sehr sehr sparsam gewürzt bzw. garnicht. In dem Dip war noch ein fremdartiger Geruch (Muffig, nach sehr altem Knoblauchpulver). Menge: gut Geschmack: null Preis: 5€ waren noch ok, 15€ dafür sind unverschämt Weiterempfehlung: nur wenn jemand keinen Geschmackssinn mehr hat Wiederbesuch: lieber nicht Zur Vorsicht hatte ich noch Jägermeister & Loperamid als 'Nachtisch'. Kein typisches 0815-Syrien Restaurant. Es gibt viele authentische syrische Speisen wie z.B. Kibbeh und eine große Auswahl an Nachtischen, u.a. Hawalet el-Jibn und Bakdash-Eis.

Angelogen und betrogen von Angestellten und dem Chef eine Schande für die Gastronomie. Ein Falaffel für 15 Euro wurde gleich 4 unabhängigen Gästen "verkauft". Angestellter ruft Chef an und weiss es eine Sekunde später nicht. Essen ist furchtbar, eine Schande.

Ein Restaurant in der Karlstraße mit syrischen Spezialitäten. Insbesondere ist auf eine Auswahl syrischer Süßigkeiten hinzuweisen. Wer will kann sich hier also mal an Süßigkeiten sattessen. Die Karte gibt es her. Dazu wird ein recht edles Ambiente geboten. Zumindestens von der Optik her. Hierbei ist noch zu vermerken das sich der Name des Restaurants auf eine syrische Stadt bezieht die unter anderem als besonders edel gilt. In der Speisekarte wird sogar extra vermerkt welche Speisen aus ihr bzw welche aus Aleppo stammen.

Frisches Essen und toller Service, einfach zu empfehlen

2 years ago, this place had no competition. But now... the prices are just going up, and the food and service are plummeting. Just ordered for the last time. The meat was bad, the garlic sauce didn't even fill half of the small container, the salad was just sad, and the sandwich over all just was not good. This is so disappointing, to the point where I feel like I wasted my money on it. If you are reading this in 2023 or after... do yourself a favor and don't waste your time and money on it.

Ich habe mir eine schawarma bestellt Das Essen war sehr lecker zum Teil war gar kein fett und das Brot war klein aber hat sehr gesättigt und es ging nicht so auf den Magen der Service war sehr gut die Mitarbeiter haben sich bei Fehlern entschuldigt und angeboten ein neues gratis zu machen Das Ambiente war schön die Tische so wie die stühle Waren sher schon fiziert und die Toiletten sauber auch die Waschbecken waren sehr schön das Becken war aus Stein und der Wasserhahn war auch Mal was anderes wie ich es noch nie gesehen hab

SUPER LECKER!!! Hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen...tolle Gewürze...gute Portionen! SCHARF auch wenn es NICHT dabei steht! Sehr zu empfehlen! Bald wieder:) Nun waren wir auch mal im Restaurant essen. Der Service war unterirdisch schlecht, andauernd wurde irgend etwas vergessen, Besteck, Gläser, Zucker zum Mokka. Es hat sehr lange gedauert. Das Essen war gut aber teuer. Leider ist keine Kartenzahlung möglich. Die Gäste neben uns mussten zum Automaten gehen. Kein Hinweis vorhanden. Unseren Hund durften wir nicht mit hinein nehmen. Die Atmosphäre war nicht so schön. Es war wohl das einzige und letzte Mal. Schade

Sehr feines Essen, vor allem auch die Beilagen und der Salat. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Das syrische Ambiente ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Aber jederzeit gerne wieder

Für das authentische/ frisch zubereitete/ sehr sehr gutes Essen gebe ich 5 Sterne. 1 Stern Abzug für die blinkende LED Beleuchtung im Restaurant/ Imbiss, diese hat mich persönlich beim Essen gestört. Das Essen ist sehr empfehlenswert, Preis Leistung passt 100% ℹ️ Regional Tipp: Anstatt im Filmpalast am ZKM schlechtes fast Food zu essen, lieber kurz 2 Straßen weiter fahren und lecker im Schahbaa frische Küche genießen
