We went to this restaurant this evening for my mother-in-law's birthday. We had reserved a table for seven people, but unfortunately, upon arrival, we were only given a table for six because we had three children with us. After asking, they brought an extra chair; the missing place setting only came after we asked again when the food arrived. The explanation was that with three children, he couldn't give us a different table; he had to think about his other guests who were arriving soon. We have to be flexible, don't we? The rest of the evening became very unpleasant. The owner kept coming up to us with flippant remarks like, "Would you at least like it if the children ate first?" However, in the end, the children's food arrived last. He also questioned several times whether the children were really allowed to have, for example, an iced tea cocktail (non-alcoholic, of course). At the end of the meal, he asked if the food was good. My mother-in-law, still stressed from his waitress having to carry our plates across three small tables because she didn't want to walk around, replied that it was okay today. He wasn't going to let this go and launched into a lengthy argument filled with justifications. The waitress then dropped the dirty knife into my mother-in-law's back, and instead of an apology, she just said, "Well, these things happen." Yes, they do happen, but you still say sorry. We've eaten there several times before, and this has never happened to us, but we also hadn't yet brought our children along. They were apparently the problem this evening. Conclusion: Fine without children. Definitely not welcome with them. Too bad, we won't be coming back.

I went there for dinner with a friend. We eat out regularly and like to try new restaurants. Since neither of us can eat very much at once, we often share dishes. Here, we wanted to order a main course and an appetizer. (The appetizer was about the same price as the cheapest main course.) We were told (by the owner) that it wasn't possible: "You have to order one main course per person or two appetizers per person." We've never experienced anything like that! Since we didn't feel like going to another restaurant and we already had our drinks, we stayed. We shouldn't have. In the end, we left about one dish uneaten because we simply couldn't finish it. The feta cheese we ordered separately was extremely dry and tasted awful. The other dishes were okay, but nothing special for the higher price. All in all, we won't be going back. The owner prances around and comes across as arrogant, while the other employees were friendly.

We were there for dinner with eight people, and to sum it up, it was simply fantastic. The service couldn't have been better, everyone enjoyed the food, and the ambiance was the highlight.

We wanted a delicious meal in Griesheim. Unfortunately, the prices are too high for what was offered. The exclusive fish platter with octopus, salmon, and squid was poor quality and therefore overpriced. The octopus wasn't fresh. Grilling made it tough and gave it that strange taste you usually get from pickled/precooked food from a grocery store. The grilled vegetables were peppers, etc., that had been briefly grilled and therefore had stripes, but were essentially raw. A lot of fuss for nothing. The owner/host put a lot of effort into the food, but doesn't handle constructive criticism very well. It's a shame. We've had much better food for €80 for two. It's a shame.

My wife and I love this restaurant. We come regularly for our wedding anniversary. It's a more exotic, not your average Greek restaurant. Traditional dishes are, of course, still on offer. The chef cooks and serves himself, which seems like a calling to me. He's really very nice and makes guests feel like royalty. He gives the impression of being a very strict boss, but honestly, that's not really an issue for guests. It's not cheap either, but cheap isn't our priority for this visit. If the food tastes good, we're happy to pay a little more. This visit is something special. The taste is truly a dream. It's truly perfect. I don't know what could be improved. We'll be spending many more wedding anniversaries at Rosmarin :)

We treated ourselves to the all-you-can-eat tapas and mezze menu. Highly recommended and delicious.

We stopped by for lunch spontaneously while passing through. Since we didn't have a reservation, we were shown a table that had just become available. The place was cleaned and set up quickly. They served us a daily special alongside the à la carte menu. The food took a while to arrive, but that was due to the busy schedule. We were all the more pleased with the great appetizer. The main courses were delicious and plentiful. I've rarely eaten gyros as good as this one. We were impressed by the friendly atmosphere and look forward to seeing you again.

We drove 50 minutes to Griesheim and were not disappointed. Delicious food and very friendly staff. The chef put together a starter platter for us. Everything was delicious. The guests are well looked after, and everything was quick. The four of us also got a dessert on the house, which we were absolutely delighted about. ☺️

Das Essen und der Service waren super. Hierfür würde ich eine glatte 1 vergeben. Dann kam der Chef : als wir an der Lautstärke der Musik "Kritik" geübt haben wurde uns sehr barsch erklärt, dass die Musik so laut sein müsste um die Gespräche am Nachbartisch nicht belauschen zu können. Das ganze eskalierte, der Chef wurde laut obwohl wir ruhig und sachlich argumentiert haben. So kann man Gäste nicht behandeln. Wir kommen sicher nicht wieder !!!!

Went there for the first time today. They have a changing daily menu with daily specials. A menu is offered for €32 with starter/main course/dessert depending on your choice. Unbeatable. We opted for the classic grilled plate, grilled pepperoni with garlic, zucchini meatballs with feta. Fresh ingredients, fresh vegetables, good meat and well seasoned. Nothing fried to death but juicy. The vegetables could have been warmer. Otherwise there was nothing to complain about. The service and the boss were also very friendly and accommodating. We would love to come back and definitely recommend.

Sehr freundlicher Service, schön gestaltete Räumlichkeiten und leckeres griechisches Essen, ein sympathischer Ort zum Wohlfühlen. Wir hatten die kalte Vorspeisenauswahl und Gyros, zu dem uns der nette Chef mit Gemüse statt Reis eine Freude gemacht hat. Die Pommes sahen selbstgemacht aus, kein Convenience-Produkt aus der Tüte. Dazu ein frisches Pfungstädter Pils vom Fass und zum Schluss noch ein Ouzo aufs Haus - wir kommen wieder.

Very friendly service, beautifully designed rooms and delicious Greek food, a friendly place to feel good. We had the cold starter selection and gyros, which the nice boss made us happy with vegetables instead of rice. The fries looked homemade, not a convenience product from a bag. Plus a fresh Pfungstädter Pils on tap and finally an ouzo on the house - we'll be back.

The food is very tasty, but the owner, who is always hovering around the guests and always interfering, is not good at all. He is overbearing, arrogant and sometimes cheeky with the guests, which ruins a lovely evening.

The service left a lot to be desired. For the beautiful I would have expected more ambience. The boss walked around with his cell phone and shorts. Found it unprofessional. The food was rich, unfortunately with ready-made sauce, the linguine was spaghetti and the baby spinach was nowhere to be found. The wine tasted like dish soap. No reason for me to come back!

The food is a little expensive but you can tell that it was made with love. I ordered gyros gratinated with fresh mushrooms. Starter Greek salad with feta. The service was absolutely top. Very hospitable and very very friendly. I don't like giving 5 stars, but this restaurant made me choose it

On previous occasions we enjoyed eating here, today we celebrated a lovely family celebration with 40 people at Rosmarin. The food was wonderful! Mixed starters served on site were followed by a buffet of hot main courses. All dishes were extremely tasty and served in a very visually appealing way. The service was extremely attentive and friendly, you felt warmly welcome as soon as you walked in. I will definitely be happy to come back here at any time!

Update 5/20/24 Everyone deserves a second chance, this time everything was top notch, service top, food first class and we had several courses, sat outside, everything was great and damn tasty! We will be back! Service is on point, knows what it's doing. But to charge for a bottle of Pfungstädter beer that had expired over 4 weeks ago and to say that with beer it wouldn't matter (that happened at the neighboring table, but all the guests noticed), I thought it was a cheek... the landlord dealt with that to bring his little stars here... The food was delicious, unfortunately the meat was on my fries, so they were crunchy and more of a mush. Ambience is fine, tables are a bit small.

We have been guests here several times and always pick up something to pick up - always the best service, absolutely delicious food (the GreekBurger is highly recommended!) and a very attentive, warm owner. Always happy!

We actually wanted to go bouldering in Darmstadt, but the little monster in my partner's stomach had something against it and so we decided to stop at the wonderful Rosmarin. We were very happy to be served a wonderful meal after a very short wait. Both the cabbage roulade and the bifteki were so delicious. We are looking forward to our next trip to the bouldering hall!🥰🥰🥰

It was our first but not the last time at Rosmarin. After a busy day of work, we were guided through the evening by the very friendly service staff from the very first minute. The boss has a special recommendation for each of his guests. It suited us so well, as if he had known us for decades. Here, as a guest, you and all your wishes are still the focus. The high quality of the dishes on offer should not go unmentioned, starting with the selection, continuing with the preparation and, last but not least, with the serving. We had our Christmas party there and it was on Valentine's Day because it was a super nice atmosphere, beautifully decorated, elegance and at the same time cozy, delicious food and very friendly staff. A touch of vacation even in summer 😄

The ambience is a dream. A feeling of well-being comes over you as soon as you take a seat at the well-laid tables of the Rosmarin Restaurant. The music in the background is inviting and tempts you to drink a delicious sip of Malakusia. The waitresses are very friendly and attentive and respond to our every request. Owner Lefteris has created a Mediterranean selection of dishes that pleases our sense of taste. We also highly recommend taking a look at the table. A big compliment to the kitchen, they do their job very well. This restaurant is our favorite and highly recommended. Thank you very much for the good evening you gave us today and at the end you served the delicious chocolates with the good Greek coffee.

Good ambience, food portions were a bit smaller and the rosemary potatoes weren't quite through comma. Everything else was okay and the service was friendly.

We've been there several times now and the food is delicious. Nice cozy shop. We had no problems with the boss there. We were able to coordinate everything with him so that even small changes weren't a problem. We'll definitely come by every now and then.

Ein wundervoller Abend mit hervorragendem Essen und tollem Service. Das Interieur ist modern und geschmackvoll. Eine tolle Alternative zum nahe gelegenen Felsenkeller, wo wir eigentlich hin wollten - es gab jedoch keinen freien Parkplatz mehr - Danke dafür. 😉

Waren mit 15 Personen dort am 2.weihnachtsfeiertag, wieder sehr gutes Essen und aufmerksame Bedienung.

Wir waren an Weihnachten zum Mittagessen hier. Vom Empfang bis zur Verabschiedung war alles super. Der Service aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir waren das erste Mal hier und kommen bestimmt wieder.

Wir waren mit sechs Personen da. Wir wurden behandelt wie die Könige persönlich. Auch wenn wir nicht die einzigen Gäste waren kam es uns so vor. Es wurde alles somit uns abgesprochen wann und wie das Essen für uns bereit ist. Wir hatten eine Vorspeisen Platte für alle. Nicht nur vom Aussehen sondern auch vom Geschmack her war es richtig toll. Sehr schmackhaft und frisch. Die Hauptspeisen kamen dann „ zum Termin“ und waren durch die Bank weg alle sehr köstlich. Der Nachtisch wurde uns auch auf einer großen Platte mit einem Feuerkelch gebracht. Auch die waren alle sehr lecker. Wir hatten schon lange nicht mehr so einen herrlichen Abend. Vielen Dank an das ganze Team.

Ein glücklicher Volltreffer! Durch Zufall auf Google gefunden und spontan eingekehrt. Sehr schickes und gemütliches Ambiente gepaart mit einem sehr aufmerksamen, aber nicht aufdringlichen Gastgeber! On Top gab es noch sehr gutes, griechisches Essen! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Auch unser Hund war willkommen!

Heute genoss ich mit einem Freund einen Besuch im Restaurant Rosmarin. Der Gastgeber empfing uns äußerst herzlich am Eingang und führte uns überaus zuvorkommend zu unserem Tisch. Das gesamte Personal begrüßte und bediente uns äußerst freundlich. Die ansprechende Dekoration vermittelt das Gefühl, sich direkt an einem warmen Sommerabend am Strand in Griechenland zu befinden. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis des Essens ist im Vergleich zu anderen Anbietern in Darmstadt äußerst vorteilhaft, ohne dabei an der hochwertigen 5-Sterne-Qualität zu sparen. Das Fleisch überzeugte durch seine Frische und delikaten Geschmacksnuancen. Ein Besuch im Rosmarin ist stets eine Freude und wird mit Vorfreude auf weitere Genussmomente begleitet. Danke euch :)

Sehr sehr unhöflicher Oberkellner. Behandelt die Gäste und Angestellten von ganz weit oben herab. Denkt, er habe alles im Griff, aber wir haben mehr als 30min gewartet, bis wir überhaupt bestellt haben. Essen sehr gut, aber ich komme trotzdem nicht wieder, schade

Einfach genial - alles, was ich dort bestellt habe, war immer frisch und lecker, reichlich und im Verhältnis zur Qualität absolut preislich angemessen. Die Bedienung ist klasse, gut gelsunt und aufmerksam, das Ambiente schön und auch ein Blick auf die Tageskarte lohnt sich! Was ich in der Schwangerschaft toll fand: Es wurde sofort auf alles Rücksicht genommen, Rücksprache gehalten und das Essen so angepasst, dass ich es ohne Sorge bestellen konnte - das ist bei den Ernährungsregeln in dieser Zeit oft schwierig und hinterlässt auch mal genervte Kellner...Hier nicht! Also - Danke dafür! Wir kommen gerne wieder!
