Everything was perfect! Great food, excellent service, and all at a fair price.

Hats off to this excellent online shop and, of course, to the delicious food. I'll definitely be back.

It was my son's birthday and we had reserved a table. The waiters didn't offer a friendly smile or a congratulations. The restaurant was cold and uninviting, even from the outside! They tried too hard and failed miserably! No, let's just leave it at that! The food was, well, okay, I've had better! I wouldn't recommend this restaurant!

The owner is still young and hasn't quite got his inventory under control yet, but he's always very friendly and has great ideas for offering alternatives... and it's really, really delicious 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

We were just passing through and ended up here by chance. Luckily! My wife and I both agreed that the pizza was one of the best we've ever had. The service was also excellent. The prices were reasonable by today's standards. We'll definitely come back next time we're passing through.

Even though we called shortly after the kitchen closed, they quickly conjured up a delicious meal for us. Simply delicious, everything was perfect. We'd be happy to come back anytime.

The pizza bread and cheese were very good. The "Classic" grilled platter was a disaster: the pork was the size of a thumb and very dry, and the minced steak and pork steak were also dry and tasteless. The bacon strips were inedible; dark brown, hard, and dry. At least I was offered a shot of schnapps when I complained.

The food was delicious. Service was excellent. What deserves 0.0 stars is the smoking in the conservatory. There were a lot of small children here, but that's unnecessary. You could have gone outside completely. It spoils your appetite. I won't be coming here again. The dogs were also very nasty in the restaurant.

Seven of us spontaneously arrived without a reservation. The food was delicious and of excellent quality. The service was friendly, and the prices were fair. We felt comfortable and paid €25 per person, including a drink, main course, dessert, and a coffee. Highly recommended.

I've known the Postillion since before the change of management, but now it's a new one. The shop was well-stocked on Saturday, but I wouldn't say it's full. The drinks were brought quickly and friendly. Unfortunately, the drinks took a very long time. We ordered our food in between. Our three dishes finally arrived at our table one at a time after a long wait, with the salad taking the longest. The tortellini were okay, the penne with borello was good, but the Caesar salad, with its dry meat and greasy mayo dressing, wasn't our cup of tea. The shop outside is nicely decorated, though, and the staff is friendly. Edit: Thanks for the reply. I noticed construction work and a new menu, so I assumed they'd changed. I've always been happy with the Postillion before; maybe it was an unfortunate day. Maybe better luck next time.

We always go to Hamburg to eat pizza. Today, on a recommendation, we tried the Postillion in Tostedt. All we can say is – it's amazing, very tasty. Whenever our pizza cravings start rumbling, we'll go back to the Postillion. 👍👍👍The service was also very friendly.

An interesting restaurant, a beautiful conservatory, well-maintained, clean, and friendly service. I can't say much about the food; what I had (the meat) was somewhat blandly seasoned and quite "tough." My wife felt the same. Perhaps it's just a matter of time, but I was a little disappointed considering the pleasant atmosphere.

Was at the Postillion yesterday - actually just wanted to eat something... and suddenly I was in the middle of a culinary adventure. Starter: taste explosion. Main course: love at first bite. Dessert? I briefly considered whether I should marry the chef. The service? Faster than my WiFi and also friendly like your favorite grandma at Christmas. Ambience? So comfortable that I considered changing my place of residence. In short: Anyone who doesn't roll out here happily either has no taste - or wasn't there at all. Thanks, Postillion – I’ll be back. Probably tomorrow. Or straight away. 🫶🏼

Schade da freut man sich gemütlich Essen zu gehen ,schön im luftigen Glas Pavillon zu sitzen und dann wird am Tisch daneben geraucht .Das ganze anscheinend mit dem Inhaber und Freunden. Auch als Inhaber sollte man nicht nur an Freunde denken sondern auch an die anderen Gäste , das ist hier leider fehl Anzeige. Aber wahrscheinlich kann man hier auf gut zahlende Gäste verzichten, selbst dem Kellnern hat man angesehen das ihnen das sehr unangenehm war. Schade sind schon öfters da gewesen, aber das war dann wohl das letzte mal. Als absoluter Nichteraucher sowas beim Essen,vielen Dank.

Pizza Scampi - dough completely over salted! Pizza Postillion - Inedible. Apparently "cheap" ready-made pepperoni from a glass/can with plenty of the liquid in it spread over the pizza. Olives without taste, the "mortadella" (if it is one) only tastes of salt, and of course the dough is completely over salted. Actually inedible, it made us sick. 3/4 in the trash. Unfortunately “picked up” - €30.00 tuition fee paid. NEVER AGAIN!!! Photo - This is not what pepperoni should look like on a pizza! What's next? Brush your teeth, rinse your mouth, drink a lot and then make something to eat. PS: Food - last year, classic Balkan, was tip top!

We were there yesterday as a group of 8 people. Unfortunately, 6 of the 8 dishes were not OK. The meat in the house pan, which was supposed to be a "tender" fillet, was completely fried and hardly edible. In the penne with cherry tomatoes there was a large quartered tomato including the stalk. The dish was also completely over-seasoned with a lot of herbs. The waiter acknowledged it without saying a word - nothing more was said about it. We have been regular guests for years, but the quality of the food has declined significantly in the last few months. That's really a shame. We're definitely not coming back!

Restaurant with Italian cuisine. I think of solid as an overall rating. Very good portions, for those very hungry. Food well and interestingly seasoned. Prices okay. Would love to come back.

We used to go there often and it was always very tasty. Last Saturday we were there with friends, unfortunately it wasn't as good as it used to be, the meat wasn't completely cooked through and was raw inside. I pointed this out to a service employee and he just nodded and was done. No excuse, no replacement and that for €21.90

I've been there twice. Last year the food was great. Richly garnished and delicious 😋 it was too. But this year the food wasn't so good. The food was just too oily and tasteless, green beans weren't even seasoned palatable and tasted like they came straight from a can on the plate. What was good was the service. Friendly and quick. Don't think I would eat there again. Too bad

After a long wait we finally got the menu. The food was too salty for both me and my guests. I actually wanted to order a second beer, but that didn't work due to the lack of service during the meal, as the waiters preferred to concentrate on themselves. I then generously skipped dessert.

We have rarely been to Postillion in recent years because the food was always very unsatisfactory. Yesterday after restarting Postino another attempt and lo and behold! The pizza sandwiches, fried shrimp appetizer, as well as pizza and rump steak were fantastic! The menu is now much smaller. This could be a sign that fresh cooking is now taking place. However, I felt a clear change in the atmosphere in the team. Not much is left of the decades-long warm welcoming culture of the “Jako Family”. Everyone was nice and friendly, no question about it, but that warmth! Hopefully the team will get used to it! Every beginning/restart is difficult!

I actually don't like writing reviews because everyone can have a bad day - even in the kitchen. However, I would like to share my experience. I ordered a chicken schnitzel with fries for €18, and unfortunately the food was disappointing. The schnitzel was clearly a frozen product, which was immediately noticeable in both the breading and the taste. It was neither freshly beaten nor breaded or fried. The fries were also more reminiscent of the cheapest version from the kiosk than of a side dish of a high-quality dish. Overall, the food made neither the visual nor taste impression that you would expect for the price. There is definitely room for improvement here, also when it comes to garnish and presentation. I hope that the other dishes on the menu are not convenience products and that this was just an exception.

Sensationally good restaurant with super delicious food. The pizzas, the antipasti starter plate and the pork medallions in Gorgonzola sauce are really recommended. The staff is always attentive and super friendly. Highly recommended - thank you very much

The ambience is very nice. The food was also tasty. However - I had the Balkan plate. Unfortunately it was without sauce. I think it would have tasted even better with. You could/should make the supplements available to choose from. I found both (chips and rice) to be too much. And you should make sure that as little food as possible is thrown away.

From Postillon to Postino with some changes! The menu is really manageable and the prices have increased. The side salad is an absolute joke (lettuce leaf with a piece of carrot) please come up with something! The burger is ok, but there is only this one burger on the menu. A chicken burger would be great too. I've eaten the bruschetta better (bread is too soft and the tomato mixture was rather tasteless with rocket? I know bruschetta with basil) On the whole, I hope that the operators read the reviews and try to improve one or two things!

The food has been subterranean since the change in Postino... Price performance ne 6... reads great on the menu but nothing more... I've known the shop since I was a child and I also know Italian cuisine very well and what they now deliver under the name Postino is priced at zero...

Yes, the Postino is a little more expensive than the old Postillon, but the quality of the food is significantly better under the new chef than before. We would love to come back very soon!

Too expensive for mediocre food. The pizza is ok. You shouldn't eat pasta here. Cheapest tortellini with hard shoulder ham and canned mushrooms 3rd choice, charred and all greasy due to cheapest cheese when gratinated. And then almost 20 for a dish. We won't go back here.

After the renovation it was even better than it was before. When you read it, the menu promises the finest Mediterranean cuisine, which is delivered on the finest level of enjoyment when served. We would like to experience this pleasure more often in the future. Definitely keep it up!!!!

The change in concept and adjusted opening times are very regrettable. Very shortened menu at overpriced prices, food is ok but nothing special. No longer worth the great reputation the restaurant has built up over the last few decades.

A new name and a new gastronomic concept. The Postillon, with a focus on fried and grilled food, became the Postino. Together with the new chef Sebastiano, who moved to Tostedt from the renowned Coast by East in Hamburg's Hafencity, the owners have decided to now focus on Italian cuisine. The menu has already been redesigned with great attention to detail and the content has been changed. Bruschetta at its best. The pizza is the way I like it, thin and crispy. The Penne all' Arrabiatta has just the right level of spiciness. Often it's more like penne in tomato sauce, which makes you wonder where the arrabiatta has gone. Not so here, these Penne all' Arrabiatta live up to their name. The gourmet plate comes from the Postillon and is still delicious. However, a blessed appetite is a prerequisite to cope with this portion. Unfortunately, the Wiener Schnitzel is only made from chicken. Personally, I think veal, as it corresponds to the original recipe, or at least pork, would be much better. The unbeatable highlight of the evening were the dessert variations. Simply fantastic. A big thank you to the kitchen crew for this.

I've always enjoyed staying at the Postillon, but the change of name and apparent ownership didn't change anything for the better for me after my first visit. The team was obviously overwhelmed. We waited 45 minutes for drinks and over an hour for food. According to his own statement, bread with dip was forgotten in advance. The prices have also increased massively - the food was ok, but didn't justify such a price increase. You can no longer find cocktails on the menu. Maybe this will all work out a bit, but after my experience I would no longer recommend the new Postio - it's a shame!

We were here for the first time and were unfortunately disappointed. The outside terrace is great and it's cozy. What disappointed us, however, was the food and the prices. I find €17.90 for a vegan burger with no frills and only (comparatively) a few fries cheeky. For the money, the whole thing could have been served nicer, for example with a salad. The vegan patty was bland. Unfortunately, the vegan burger is the only vegan dish on the menu. I think you can expand this a bit with a few more dishes. I can't say anything about vegetarian dishes, unfortunately I didn't pay attention to them. You also have to pay €15.90 for a normal cheeseburger and that is not justified if it is put together and served just as carelessly as the vegan burger. I also noticed with the vegan burger that the lettuce leaf wasn't washed properly. You could see that there was actually still a little bit of earth left there. I ate it because I don't do it that way, but it still didn't have to be that way. This also shows how things are going in the kitchen. The only positive thing is the service; The service was very nice and tried hard despite the large number of customers. We won't be coming back again.

Meat far dry and poorly seasoned. At home I can do it 100x better and for less money. People just seem to ignore the bad reviews because nothing changes.

Our regular restaurant, we have enjoyed going here for years. The service is excellent and the ambience is enhanced by the beautiful winter garden. We highly recommend the Postillion.

We came on a quiet weekday and got a cozy table for four. We are not locals and were invited to eat here by my mother. The prices are common elsewhere, the service was nice and special requests such as fried potatoes with fish were fulfilled. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that our food was served almost at the same time, the beef steaks were fried to medium rare + medium and were pleasantly crispy on the outside. The taste was intense and juicy and there was absolutely no need for sauce. The portions were plentiful and barely or not at all possible for us to manage. The baked potatoes were also delicious and my mother always praised the fish. We were very satisfied. In retrospect, I would have liked to have been offered freshly ground pepper with a pepper mill, but I am almost certain that this would have been possible if I had asked. We recommend!

Erstes und letztes mal da gewesen. Radler war schal und nicht gerade kalt. Backkartoffel, Gemüse und sogar die sour Cream hatten garkeinen Geschmack. Service nicht existent, nach den Essen bringen wurde micht gefragt ob alles gut ist oder man nochmal etwas braucht, obwohl wir gerne nich was zu trinken gehabt hätten... Und die Preise sind ja regelrecht frech... also ganz ehrlich. Einzig die Location ist ganz nett.

Das Ambiente ist gemütlich, das war es aber auch schon. Hier stimmt Preis/Leistung gar nicht! Die Preise sind im Hinblick für das was einem geboten wird viel zu teuer: • essen war sehr Basic und dabei noch extrem fad (unsere Kartoffeln hatten gar keinen Geschmack, sour cream hat wie billig, fertig Creme geschmeckt und das Gemüse war gar nicht gewürzt) • Auswahl an Gerichten eher Imbiss Standard und Portionen nicht groß (Standardgerichte, die aber lieblos serviert werden, da erwarte ich für den Preis mehr - entweder von der Portion oder der Darstellung) • Service ist quasi nicht vorhanden (wir mussten fragen, ob wir bestellen können und auch ob wir zahlen können, gefragt ob alles ok ist oder wir noch was brauchen wurde nicht) • Personal wirkt zudem lustlos (gar keine Freundlichkeit und man fühlt sich als würde man stören) Für den Preis kann man im andere, deutlich schönere und bessere Lokale gehen oder im vergleichbaren Lokalen für deutlich weniger Geld essen gehen.

Ein schönes Restaurant mit einer umfangreichen Speisekarte. Da ist für jeden etwas dabei. Sehr freundliches Personal. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, das Essen schmeckt sehr gut und die Kinder dürfen Kinder sei.

Leider wird das Essen seit Jahren immer weniger gut und die Qualität schwankt häufig von sehr gut zu gar nicht gut… wir probieren es häufig aus, seit Corona meist zum Abholen, aber leider wird es nicht besser. Die Mitarbeiter sind meist sehr nett und vor Ort die Location ist auch sehr schön, aber das Essen ist leider nur noch ein durchschnittliches ok! Außerdem wird die Auswahl an Beilagen auch immer kleiner und es gibt kaum noch vegetarisches und Gemüse zur Auswahl. P.S. Beim letzten Mal hatten wir Pommes als Beilage, ich habe noch nie so schlechte Pommes gehabt… die waren nicht mal durch!

Gemütliches Restaurant mit guter Auswahl auf der Karte. Pizza, Pasta, Salate, Grillteller....Wer da nichts für seinen Geschmack findet....Wir hatten die Platte für zwei Personen. Uns hat es gut geschmeckt. Das Fleisch war super, das Gemüse auch. Die Kroketten und die Bratkartoffeln hätten etwas knuspriger sein können. Dazu gab es einen kleinen Krautsalat und drei verschiedene Saucen.

Sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Leckeres Essen für jedermann was dabei. Tische bekommt man auch ohne Vorbestellung. Die Küche ist schnell und man muss auch bei vollem Lokal nicht lange warten. Das Ambiente könnte mal aufgefrischt werden, ansonsten Top-Lokal, wo man gerne hingeht.
