A lovely evening with very good food in a family atmosphere

Tasty and always full. Nothing works without a reservation.

For us the best Greek in Osnabrück. Have been there for over 20 years. A beautiful, large beer garden in summer and an attractive, cozy atmosphere with large window fronts and a beautiful view during the rest of the season. A large/varied menu. The dishes themselves taste good to very good to us. A (really) large parking lot right in front of the restaurant. Often fully booked, especially on weekends, which makes early reservations advisable. The service is always friendly and accommodating. We tolerate 100% of our 100% tolerance for inadequacies that occur occasionally/rarely at peak times, as the staffing situation in the hospitality industry is notoriously difficult, we are all only human and each of us only has a maximum of 2 arms and legs. Personally, I don't think the lack of the option to pay by credit card is a problem, as the credit card companies also want to be paid and thereby force the restaurateurs to set prices higher. I can therefore also pay with a Girocard without any problems. For the rest (= credit card payers), an easy-to-read notice on the entrance door might be helpful. (It is already available on the homepage/website.)

Delicious food, nice service and... reasonable prices. The restaurant was very busy. Reservation is definitely recommended. We'll definitely be back.

My top Greek in OS! Today we were in Hellern and picked something up. Quickly chose 2 dishes and saw and smelled the delicious plates from the other guests. To tide us over, we ordered 2 Alster and 2 Ouzo were added upon delivery. 👌🏼 We had a nice conversation when my wife reported that she was suffering from hunger. 😁 The food came quickly, but to our surprise only the food was charged, which triggered the tipping reflex in us. Always nice at Poseidon. 🤩 My wife had a fantastic gyros in Metaxa sauce and my moussaka was definitely one of the best I've ever eaten! Both are just under €20 each. Both also came with a delicious salad. I was thrilled with the taste of the kidney beans. I never knew them to be so delicious before. Thank you, I've rarely had such a delicious souvenir. Pictures are canceled, we were too hungry and it was simply too tasty. Service: feel-good factor really high! Price: good, but not cheap Quality: everything fresh and damn tasty!

Unfortunately we were totally disappointed with the service...we waited 1 hour for the food...then out of 4 people who ordered food only 3 came at the same time...we had to wait another few minutes for the last meal... Payment process catastrophe...Told 3 waiters that we wanted to pay...the 4th waiter gave us the tip to go to the counter...but there was already a long line there... Food was good...

Hello, today I'm from Bad Iburg for the first time in the Poseidon restaurant in Hellern, and I have to say that I really enjoyed it.

Very good !! Owner-run Greek restaurant. Very friendly, attentive staff. The food, I had the lamb fillets, grilled to perfection. A chef/grill master with years of experience. The side dishes and starters are homemade. So no tzatziki from the bucket. Eggplant salad and taramosalata definitely homemade. We got garlic bread and homemade spinach pita on the house. A very successful lunch!

I have been a frequent guest at Poseidon for years with great enthusiasm. The staff and owners are very friendly and accommodating. The quality of the food is excellent. Everything is very tasty, fresh and cooked to perfection. The price-performance ratio is also fair. If you want to get a place, you should definitely reserve in advance. I always enjoy coming back there with friends. We felt very welcome and in good hands again today.

We have enjoyed going there for many years. Our native Greek, so to speak. The food is very tasty, the service is very friendly. In summer you can sit outside. Overall, you feel very comfortable there and you can eat there as a couple or with friends. Highly recommended.

The food is very tasty and even though it was full, the food was served in the usual time as usual. All employees are friendly. But without a reservation you don't have to try it or you're just lucky that a table is available. So don't be disappointed that you don't get a table.

I was there on my bike at lunchtime. Very well-kept restaurant with great staff, good service. There is a lunch menu and also the normal menu. The normal prices are a little higher than at other Greeks but the lunch menu gives you a grilled plate with fries and salad for 14 euros. This is fair. The gyro was crispy and spicy, the minced steak with a clear herbal note. The fries are crispy and the salad is varied. Well tapped Veltins on tap and quickly brought to the table. The beer garden is great, the venue is clean and renovated. All in all a very nice place with pleasant staff. Epharisto!

The food and ambience is good. If you want to pay you are told quite briskly, almost unfriendly, that credit cards are not accepted. You can either have the option deactivated or take the fees into account, but that's not possible.

Despite the size, there were enough employees in the restaurant, they were all particularly friendly and very attentive. When it came to drinks, people always asked in good time whether they could have something else - just the way they wanted it. The food was very very tasty and the portion size was very good. We'd love to come back. Absolute recommendation!

The service was very friendly and the food was typically Greek, as you would expect. The fried anchovies and the gyros tasted good, the main course was just, as is often the case, too much. A little less would have been enough. The wine didn't really impress me.

Yesterday wasn't our first time in the restaurant. As always, we were very satisfied, everything was fine, I agree with the positive impression. What surprised us positively was that the prices didn't rise as much as in other restaurants, so everything was perfect and we're already looking forward to our next visit

Was here for the first time and loved the food. We sat down at the table at 6:15 p.m. and finally got the delicious food at 7:30 p.m. Due to the large number of guests, the service staff was visibly overwhelmed. Sorry!!!

A restaurant where mass processing takes place. Actually a nice atmosphere, but due to the increased prices there are only groups at the tables, where you no longer feel so comfortable with two people. Here the guest should only order meat dishes as the quality of the preparation is trimmed to be quick due to the mass processing. Apart from the fries, the side dishes (e.g. vegetables) are so well... apparently just quickly dipped in the hot water and then put on the plate. The calamari tasted like rubber. The side salad was dry and tasted of nothing. The finished salad has probably been in the kitchen for at least an hour... It's a shame... Years ago the quality of the food was much better. The service puts a lot of effort 👍🏻 and tries to do the best with the crowds....

I'm a Greece fan, whether I'm on vacation or going out to eat, I often choose something Hellenic. I have been visiting Poseidon in Osnabrück for years and have never been disappointed. The food at Poseidon is consistently of excellent quality, I have not eaten better even in Greece, comparably good, yes, in the best restaurants on Skopelos, Crete, Zakynthos, Skiathos or on the mainland, but no better than in Osnabrück near Poseidon. Socrates, Angelika and their team offer a welcoming atmosphere combined with friendly service and a culinary “experience” at its best. Absolutely recommended.

A very large restaurant that serves small and large groups of guests. The size and volume give you the feeling of being in a very lively restaurant. The food was surprisingly fantastic - much better than expected considering it's not in the city center but slightly outside. The trip there is worth it! We had the lamb shank with broad beans, the meat was so tender and soft it fell off the bone! Top! The best thing about the evening, however, was the service - very professional, courteous and simply sweet - thank you! See you soon!

Yesterday we ate at Poseidon in Hellern based on a recommendation. We had reserved a table for 4 people at 6 p.m. because we wanted to enjoy our meal in peace. We were seated at a table that was so narrow that we were claustrophobic. The food was ok so far. except for the missing fries with all dishes. These were submitted later. While we were eating, we were not only disturbed by the noise of the crowded dining room, but also by the constant rearranging of tables and chairs (an additional chair was put down, taken away 2 minutes later, put back down again, a total of 4 times. When my brother told the boss that You could have eaten more quietly at McDonald's and we described the situation in your restaurant to her as we felt, but she became very unfriendly and rude. Five minutes later we were asked to vacate the table. Conclusion: We will no longer be returning there as guests.

The best Greek in Osnabrück. No matter which dish you choose, each one is a delight. We always enjoy coming back.

In my opinion the best Greek in the Osnabrück area. Every weekend the store is packed. Reservation is recommended. Menu is very extensive. Despite the many guests, the boss has everything in view and you don't have to wait long for your food.

Yesterday we reserved a table for 12 people from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. We were told several times that we only had the table until 7:30 p.m. because not everyone was there on time. We were asked again and again to order food, after all it would be Saturday and not in the week with a very unfriendly tone, no smile on our face, just unfriendly. And the end of the song we had about 45 minutes at the end. So why stand in front of us like that? It's a shame about the good food, but in the future we'll look for another restaurant. You don't have to be asked to do something so unfriendly. Actually, with many years of experience, you should actually know that you'll get there over time. And how to deal with guests.

The food is good. We always enjoy coming here. But the portions are very different. Sometimes there are just a few fries, sometimes a lot. It's the same with the sauce and the meat.
