We were invited to dinner. The food was delicious, the portions were large. The host was extremely attentive and always had a special eye for detail (we ordered a small plate for a 2.5-year-old child. The kitchen staff provided a large, preheated plate, which arrived at the table. He noticed this and immediately swapped it for a cold, small plate). The service and food were very prompt, and the price-performance ratio was absolutely reasonable.

I was there last Wednesday; the restaurant was completely full, and I barely managed to get a seat. The appetizer of baked feta cheese (sorry, no picture) was just as good as the gyro. Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The host served alone, so there was a wait. This didn't bother me, though; he apologized several times, and the ouzo did the rest. I can recommend the Poseidon with a clear conscience!

Absolutely fantastic! Very friendly host, competent staff and service, the food is beautifully presented, and the meat is of very good quality. We were very surprised, and it was a great evening – despite the storms in the region.

The chef is very friendly, but he served almost exclusively, which led to longer waits. The food tastes wonderful, but the price-performance ratio isn't quite right for us. They only serve a few frozen calamari and a scoop of rice with salad for over €21, and the appetizers are also €1-2 more expensive than at other restaurants. Still, a recommendation!

From the outside, it's a dream - from the inside, it's exactly how you imagine eating at a Greek restaurant. The friendliness of the service was a dream; we were there with seven children and three adults. I particularly liked the patience when taking our orders, even to the point of "here, have some beer mats, play, build something, or have fun with them." Bonus point: The little ones got their food first! Very attentive. The food was also very good, plentiful, and very tasty. (The fries were amazing; I haven't had fries this good in a long time!) Recommendation: 100% If you look beyond the exterior, you get good food at a good price.

A fantastic host with fantastic cuisine. It's a shame that some guests behave so badly. They order a few extras and think everything is included in the service. There were German-speaking guests, but they weren't from the European region. But you should be able to read a menu. Some people just can't behave and think they're the ultimate guest... Every self-employed person demands their own extras. Hats off to you for staying so calm.

It's remarkable how the owner, Petros (service), and his wife (kitchen) manage the restaurant to the complete satisfaction of their guests without any additional support. Delicious, plentiful food with fresh ingredients at fair prices. Prompt service, yet still always time for a few friendly words. If we lived in Lindenberg, this would definitely be our regular.

After reading the very good reviews, I was very excited to eat here. Unfortunately, I don't understand the good reviews at all. The only positive feedback I can give is the service and the decor of the restaurant. The appetizer plate (€18) was quite okay, but in my opinion, lacked flavor and was poorly presented. After that, I had a village plate and an Athens plate. The food was lukewarm, too little seasoning, a piece of watermelon was out of place on the plate, the rice was overcooked... the portion was a bit too small, and both plates lacked plenty of seasoning and flavor. The accompanying coleslaw was inedible; the best was the Greek salad that came with the village plate. Compared to other restaurants, Greek or traditional, there's still a lot of room for improvement. I have a different idea of ​​what fresh and delicious means to me.

I had the gyro plate with pita, a truly delicious dish with a huge portion. We received friendly service. Unfortunately, the price is relatively high these days, as is the case everywhere.

A very, very cool place. I passed the restaurant on a short tour through Lindenberg. Since I'm currently in rehab here, I wanted to come here with my wife at the weekend. It was really worth it. The food was soooooooo delicious. The meat was perfect. I had an Athens plate and had the traditional souvlaki replaced with Greek souvlaki. It was just perfect! As a starter we had a cheese plate. That was just a taste explosion. If we come back to the area, a visit like this is definitely in order. Really good restaurant with a very, very friendly boss

Leider entsprach dieses Restaurant überhaupt nicht dem, was man von einem griechischen Restaurant erwarten kann. Statt authentischem Genuss wurden wir mit billigen, schwarz gefärbten Oliven, Käse, der in keiner Weise nach Schafskäse schmeckte, und Pommes zu diversen Fleischgerichten abgespeist. Auch das Tzatziki war geschmacklich enttäuschend – es hatte schlichtweg nach nichts geschmeckt. Besonders ärgerlich war für mich, dass die Preise völlig überzogen sind für das, was geboten wird. Für diese Qualität fühlte ich mich wirklich abgezockt. Es scheint, als würde das Restaurant vor allem davon leben, dass es in dieser Stadt keine wirklichen Alternativen oder Attraktionen gibt. Leider war unser Besuch eine Enttäuschung, und ich kann dieses Restaurant nicht weiterempfehlen.

We really like being at Poseidon. Since last year there has been a mobile ramp for barrier-free wheelchair access. It is recommended to have an accompanying person to help, but the staff is also very friendly and helpful. The inside of the dining room is barrier-free and the tables are at a good height for driving underneath. The food is very tasty!

Wer grichisch essen gehen möchte, ist hier leider falsch. Die Preise sind überteuert und die Oliven geschwärzt. Ob der Schafskäe aus Schafsmilch ist, wei mal dahingestellt. Auf jeden Fall hab ich schon lange nicht mehr so schlecht die griechische Küche kennengelernt. Aber was soll man in Lindenberg am A.... auch erwarten. Hier kennt sich keiner aus und es gibt wenig Attraktionen in diesem Dorf... äh....Stadt...aber nur weil so viele Einwohner hier sind. Alles ist überteuert hier, da ist man vielleicht froh über einen grichischen Mitbürger, der hier so mutig ist ein Restaurant zu eröffnen. Aber Pommes mit Fleisch bekommt man auch zu Hause gut hin. Wie auch immer...nicht wirklich empfehlenswert. Leider, Ja, blöd, dass ich im Westend (MUC) so viele Griechische Restaurants kenne und schätze.

I'm only reviewing the portion of gyros that I ordered. I don't have to say anything else about German gastronomy prices. They have now reached Swiss level. The quantity of this 'children's plate' (63) was more than enough, the tzatziki starter was also more than enough. You'll definitely get fed up with it. Now to the points of criticism: the meat was dry and not seasoned in a 'Greek' way. You could tell that the tables had been turning all day. And there was no greeting or farewell ouzo. But I just expect that from the Greeks! The service was good and, considering the restaurant was busy, it was very quick and prompt. After all, the boss did everything himself. I have included the menu for your information.

Ich bewerte hier ausschliesslich die Portion Gyros, die ich bestellt habe. Über die deutschen Gastronomie Preise muss ich nichts weiter sagen. Sie sind inzwischen auf Schweizer Niveau angekommen. Die Menge dieses 'Kindertellers' war mehr als ausreichend, die Vorspeise Tzatziki war auch mehr als ausreichend. Man wird definitiv satt davon. Jetzt zu den Kritikpunkten: das Fleisch war trocken und nicht 'griechisch' gewürzt. Man hat geschmeckt, das sich der Spiess schon den ganzen Tag gedreht hat. Und es gab keinen Begrüssungs- bzw. Abschieds-Ouzo. Das erwarte ich aber einfach beim Griechen! Der Service war gut und dafür das das Restaurant gut besucht war, sehr schnell und speditiv. Immerhin hat der Chef alles alleine gemacht. Ich habe zur Info noch die Speisekarte eingefügt.

I was in rehab in Ried in 2018 and spontaneously went to the Poseidon restaurant for the first time. The food was delicious and the service was very courteous and friendly. Prices are difficult to agree with, went there twice again. In 2022 I'll be back in rehab here and twice in the Poseidon restaurant. It was still the same atmosphere as in 2018, the food was delicious again, everyone was very friendly and nice. And now back in Ried in 2024, and visited Poseidon on the first weekend. Food was again super delicious. And on the last evening after rehab, a table is reserved again at Poseidon. It is and remains my favorite Greek restaurant. Definitely 100% recommended.

After a tour of the city in the pouring rain, the restaurant attracted us. In a very cozy atmosphere we were first greeted very friendly with an ouzo. The menu offered plenty of choice, so we both found something tasty according to our preferences. The food was excellent, crispy fried and well seasoned. We ourselves, as well as the other guests and especially the children present, were served very politely and courteously. The landlord obviously runs his restaurant with heart and great joy. We'd love to come back! 👍🏻😄

Wir waren zum zweiten und bestimmt nicht letzten Mal hier im Restaurant. Leider lässt die Entfernung häufigere Besuche nicht zu. Der " Chef " wie gewohnt unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten als Vorspeise Tsatsiki und Peperoni mit Oliven. Hauptgerichte waren der Dorfteller und frittierte Calamari. Alles hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Die Portionen sind sehr gross, deshalb hatten wir Mühe alles aufzuessen. Mit einem Wort, sind wir in der Nähe, ist dieses Restaurant unsere erste Wahl.

Alles gut! Nur nach dem Essen stellte sich heraus,daß Kartenzahlung nicht möglich ist und ich Ersteinmal zur Bank laufen musste um Bargeld zu holen!!! Hätte man irgendwo vermerken können...

So schlecht hab ich schon lange nicht mehr gegessen. Im Zaziki (oder wie man das auch immer schreiben mag) KEIN KNOBLAUCH!!! Die schwarzen Oliven waren extrem schlechte Qualität. SCHWARZ GEFÄRBT!!! Und das Essen an sich, so lala. Hauptsache man wird satt. Und teuer ist es noch dazu. Der Wirt ist gewohnt bei der Frage, ob es geschmeckt habe, gewohnt, dass man keine konstruktive Kritik äußert. Wenn man nur freundlich den Hinweis gibt, dass man traditionelles griechisches Essen mit Knoblauch gewohnt ist, ist er ziemlich abweisend. Schade Lindenberg hat generell wenig gute Lokale.

Das Essen ist Mega dort! Ich glaube das ist das beste griechische Lokal in dem ich je gegessen hab. Die qualität der Produkte ist super! Man wird super freundlich bedient und auch die Preise sind absolut fair! Kann es nur jedem empfehlen!

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit Biergarten, tollem Essen und einem super freundlichen Wirt. Hier ist immer was los was einen auch nicht wundert, weil das Essen sehr lecker ist.

Leckerster Grieche im Umkreis Essen seit über 20 Jahren im perfekt und immer qualitativ gleich. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der Gyrossalat. Klare Weiterempfehlung.

Eines der besten griechischen Restaurants bei denen ich war. Großes Lob an den Wirt der sehr nett und zuvorkommend gewesen ist. Das größte Lob gilt aber der Küche welche wirklich ein sehr leckeres und unschlagbar gutes Essen angerichtet hat. Klare Empfehlung für jeden der gerne griechisches Essen mag. Falls wir nochmals hier Urlaub machen kommen wir gerne wieder !
