Restaurant Poseidon in Geisenfeld

It was our first time there and we got a seat without a reservation, the service was friendly, and the food was delicious. We look forward to our next visit.

Unfortunately, our experience this time was rather disappointing. The meat, the souvlaki, was not at all tasty; it was tough and barely chewable. The liver was also tough and unseasoned. When we pointed out that the meat wasn't good, the only response was that it came from the butcher. As a result, the waiter dismissed three plates of meat today as poor quality. We found it a real shame that poor quality is being sold, and that there was no apology, but rather the blame is being passed on. We won't be coming again.

Absolutely recommended! Great ambiance, friendly and attentive service, and fantastic food. We're regulars here and have never been disappointed. Tastefully decorated in Greek style, with the option of outdoor seating in the cozy, quiet courtyard when the weather's nice.

We were there last night with four people. Everything was great. From the service, which was quick and delicious, to the restaurant itself, which was very cozy. We're from Hesse, but we'd love to come back.

Friendly and fast service, a lovely beer garden in a back courtyard. Once inside, you can choose between two restaurants: Italian or Greek cuisine. The beef liver was a bit overcooked/dry; braised onions would have rounded it off.

The food was meh and too expensive. There was also a hair in my dish. When I pointed it out to the waiter, he showed little interest. Nevertheless, I had to pay in full for the meal, which I couldn't eat because of the hair. No apology, nothing.

After a vacation in Italy, finally a Greek restaurant again. Only 10 minutes from the highway. Free parking just a few meters away. A great courtyard with three restaurants, so enter and keep to the left. Nice outdoor seating. We had a reservation, and that was fine for a Friday. We welcomed guests with yamas and ouzo. Followed by salad, puta with satziki. We continued with the 92... Good staff, the food was delicious. And the bill was right. Very nice...

Yes, if you like Greek, you've come to the right place.

As always, excellent food, attentive staff, and a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a seat outside today, but we're all the more pleased that business is finally picking up again after the long lockdown. You haven't lost us as regular customers even after more than a year of the coronavirus pandemic; we'll be back, that's for sure.

A good Greek restaurant with the usual selection. Fast, friendly service. We sat outside, in a very nice, quiet atmosphere. Average prices range from €16-20 for a main course.

Thanks to a friend's recommendation, we gained experience here. The family restaurant serves delicious Greek dishes, the staff is nice and will help you choose dishes. The restaurant is decorated in Greek style, is clean and has a nice atmosphere. I recommend it

One of the few Greek restaurants that have had consistent quality offerings for years. TOP starters, the “pensioner spirits” are still excellent. The service is very fast and always friendly and so is the waiting time for the food to arrive. The only comment I have... the tzatziki could use a little more garlic. You can hardly taste it. Food was very tasty. Service exceptionally friendly. Prices and portions are normal.

Had veg. Moussaka and can only recommend it. The side salad was also delicious and very fresh. Service 1a Comfortably furnished and clean Pita is apparently homemade.

The service was very friendly and attentive - there is absolutely nothing to complain about here. However, the quality of the food has deteriorated. My mixed plate was mixed: the lamb and the minced meat (bifteki) were very good, but I personally didn't like the gyros. An absolute no-go, however, was the gratinated sheep's cheese, which tasted like ready-made frozen food. This really shouldn't happen in a Greek restaurant. The atmosphere is pleasant, but I had to deduct a star because the toilets needed to be renovated. Although they were clean, they seemed outdated and no longer inviting. Overall, Poseidon remains a place with potential, but it would be nice if the cuisine returned to its previous quality.

We recently visited Poseidon Restaurant and have to say that we were very disappointed with the service. During the ordering process, the waitress seemed irritable and impatient. We wanted to put the stroller on its side and the waitress didn't like that at all. Instead of explaining ourselves kindly, The fact that the stroller couldn't be left there was explained to us by the entire restaurant in a very unfriendly and wild gesticulating manner. It was very embarrassing and strange for us. Such behavior lacks any hospitality in a restaurant. It's a real shame because the ambience and food would have been fine as we've had good meals there before. Due to the unnecessarily bad service, we left early without ordering any food. I hope the restaurant works on its service so that future guests feel more at home there.

Absolutely outstanding Greek restaurant. We eat there regularly and always have great food and friendly staff. In summer the beer garden is highly recommended.

Especially on nice days, it is really comfortable to sit in the back yard of the Fuchsbüchler Hof and enjoy your food. The portions are perfectly priced and it tastes really good.

We were here on a Thursday and received friendly and dedicated service. The food is great, it's rare to get such a well-balanced and tasty meal in a Greek restaurant. We give more than 5 stars to the chef and service.

Very nice staff, very attentive and friendly. Children are welcome. Our daughter was cold and was even given a jacket to warm up. Food is super tasty and also plentiful. Wishes are taken into account and implemented. We would be happy to go there again and will recommend it.

We ordered by phone, the prices on the internet haven't been updated yet - but €16.50 for a mini piece of a vegetarian vegetable casserole is a disgrace. In the photo you can clearly see the extremely small size based on the color of the packaging. Height: not even two narrow fingers high

We were there for dinner on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was completely full, which is why the noise level was very loud. Despite the many guests, the service staff was very friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our orders. The dish I had was souvlaki filled with feta, which I hadn't heard of before and so I really wanted to try it. The rice with it was also very tasty.

Sehr lange Wartezeiten bei der Abholung trotz pünktlicher Ankunft. Teilweise bekamen Gäste vor Ort die nach meiner Ankunft gekommen sind vorher bereits das Essen. Ansonsten typisch griechische aber leider sehr gewöhnliche Küche. Hier steht ganz klar das Geld verdienen im Vordergrund zu ungunsten der Qualität des Essens.

Das beste Bifteki ever!!! Gratulation! Der Salat hätte größer sein können, aber im Allgemeinen, alles sehr gut!

Hier isst man sehr sehr gut. Bedient wird man wie in einer Damilie. Kurz und gut: Sehr familiär, super und gemütlich. Gerne immer wieder

Das Poseidon ist mein Stammlokal, wenn es um griechische Speisen geht. Besonders der kalte Vorspeisenteller mit Knoblauch Pitta.

Tolles Restaurant: angemessene Preise, aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service sowie tadellose Gerichte.

Telefonisch reserviert. Vor Ort mitgeteilt, jedoch einfach anderen Gästen gewidmet. Diese wurden umgehend an Ihren Platz gebracht. Dann kam ein weiterer Kellner dem wir unsere Reservierung mitteilten. Er suchte seinen Kollegen und irgendwann brachte der erste Kellner uns an einen Tisch. Getränkepreise standen nicht auf der Speisekarte ebenso keine Separate Getränkekarte gesehen. Getränkepreise OK. Das Essen preislich nicht ganz günstig. Getränke bestellen hat gedauert, auch bis die Getränke kamen vergingen 5min. Essensportionen waren ok, das Essen hat durchschnittlich geschmeckt. Kalamari waren zäh, Suflaki & Fleischspieß waren etwas trocken. Gyros & Reis waren vom Geschmack gut. Die Mitarbeiterin die das Essen servierte & abräumte war sehr freundlich

Super Schön ..Innen wie außen. Netter Service. Essen gut nur das Fleisch totgebraten und nix ist vom Grill (das stört mich extrem) .

Sehr schöner Innenhof. Personal sehr freundlich. Zitrone zum Wasser wurde sofort nachgereicht. Essen war sehr gut. Einziges kleines Manko das beim Zaziki ein wenig gespart wird. Ansonsten nichts zu kritisieren. Immer wieder gern.

Vi havde et pitstop i Giesenfeld og istedet for at spise på hotellet valgte vi at prøve Poseidon. Autentisk græsk mad i hyggelige omgivelser, store portioner og en god pris. Vi kommer helt sikkert her igen.

Wir waren gestern im Restaurant Poseidon und haben ein außergewöhnlich schmackhaftes Essen serviert bekommen. Die Vorspeise war ein absoluter Genuss. Alles frisch und aus eigener Herstellung. Einfach phantastisch! Die Hauptgerichte super lecker und das Fleisch war von sehr hoher Qualität. Die anschließende Nachspeise schloss sich qualitätstechnisch ohne Abstriche an. Hier stimmt auch das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis in besonderem Maße. Der Service ist exzellent, freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Der Biergarten mit 110 Plätzen ist im näheren Umkreis der schönste, den wir bis jetzt besucht hatten. Alles in Allem wurden wir mit einem kulinarischen Hochgenuss verwöhnt und haben uns ausgesprochen wohlgefühlt. Wir werden immer wieder hier herkommen, da dieses Ambiente und das hervorragende Essen uns ein wenig Urlaub herbeizaubert.
