Disgustingly bad food... The pizza was lukewarm, with a soggy dough drowning in tomato sauce. The pasta had barely any sauce and was dried out on top. Tasteless, and you had to search for the ham in the cream sauce. Ultimately, you were just chewing on tough pasta dough. The whole thing had no flavor. The salad was inedible because it came with a tiny bowl of dressing. And that little bit of dressing was absolutely awful. As a restaurant owner, this is incredibly embarrassing. And this was the second time the food has been so incredibly bad...

I ordered an "original" spaghetti carbonara with Tyrolean bacon, egg, and Parmesan cheese for delivery. However, the original version isn't made with Tyrolean bacon, but rather with either guanciale or pancetta. That wasn't the main issue for me, though, so I overlooked it. Since you expect a creamy sauce, or any sauce at all, with an authentic carbonara, this was unfortunately not the case. It was bone dry; you could only just make out a little bit of Parmesan, but otherwise, the Tyrolean bacon was just fat and no sauce whatsoever—no flavor whatsoever. It was very disappointing, and I wouldn't order it again or recommend it. A real shame. The pizzas, however, looked okay. —Since I can't reply to your answer, I'm adding to my review. Guanciale is pork jowl and is indeed available in Germany. In an absolute emergency, you can even get it at any well-stocked Rewe supermarket (D'Avitani Franchi Guanciola). And if you're supposed to eat a carbonara fresh from your place and not order it for delivery, then it shouldn't be listed on the delivery menu or have any indication of that. The delivery time was less than 10 minutes, I believe, so something tasty and edible should arrive at the customer's door in that time, in my opinion.

Nice Italian restaurant with many non-Germanized dishes

The pizza is incredibly delicious. We haven't had better pizza in Germany. The service was very friendly. Our son was also thrilled and won't go to any other pizzeria anymore. He only eats at your place. We'll definitely be back.

We simply feel at home here. Top-quality food, beautifully presented plates and other items, and always friendly service. Truly friendly and, above all, genuinely warm. For us, it's simply our favorite "Italian" (okay, Sicilian 😅), a wonderfully beautiful little family-run restaurant. We'd happily drive a good 40km to get there 🥰

The food was very good. The menu was fairly straightforward. Unfortunately, there were only three desserts.

Yesterday, my husband and I accepted an invitation to this beautiful restaurant, and we were absolutely thrilled. We sat in a larger group in the cozy outdoor area. The service was very attentive, courteous, and incredibly friendly. Homemade toasted bread greeted us from the kitchen, along with a bowl of first-class olive oil and balsamic vinegar. A great start! For starters, the hosts ordered antipasti for everyone. These were served on two slate platters, one with meat, the other vegetarian. Both platters were generously loaded with various delicacies and homemade breadsticks. It was an absolute highlight! The main courses we chose ourselves were all very tasty, and the portions were generous. My husband and I couldn't finish our 33cm pizzas, but we were able to take the rest to go. The selection of drinks, desserts... everything was great. There was only one drawback for me, and that's just complaining at a very high level: The chairs are a bit narrow for me personally, but that's due to my stature. We give it a full five stars and highly recommend La Sicilia! Best, Nadine

Personal recommendation for pizza in Diez.

Best delicious Italian food with excellent service. We sat outside and were served very nicely. As a welcome from the house there was delicious bread with olive oil. Afterwards, excellent bruschette and, as a main course, sensational pasta Frutti di mare special and grilled cuttlefish. Also a farewell drink, either in the form of Marsala, Limoncello or something similar. We like to come back often. Thank you 🫶

The two pizzas Frutti di Mare were good, Pizza Funghi with cream sauce onions and pepperoni was also delicious.

Great price/performance Pleasant atmosphere and friendly, authentic service. Sufficient menu, not overloaded, but something for everyone to find (vegetarian, meat, pizza, pasta, fish), also a small but fine wine list. The taste is very good and the quality of the food is good (e.g. handmade fries, croquettes or fresh pizza toppings), the prices are phenomenal in relation to the portions and quality. Clear recommendation!!!

I always order my pizza and pasta here. It tastes great with you. In my opinion the best pizzeria in the area. Delivery always works perfectly. If there is a lot going on, e.g. Logically, you have to wait longer at the weekend. Otherwise it's always very quick, sometimes even under 30 minutes for smaller orders. Eating on site is also recommended. Friendly and courteous people. You have often saved my day with your delicious food. Thank you very much, keep it up.

Huge portions at really reasonable prices, leftovers can be packed up on request, great service, dogs allowed, parking in front of the door, nice atmosphere, happy to come again at any time, pizza, pasta, salads, schnitzel, steak, starters, dessert and ice cream and something for that too the little visitors there. My favorite meal is Spaghetti frutti de Mare Special

We have now had our Christmas party there twice. We eat there with the family at Christmas and occasionally order pizza and pasta to pick up. No matter whether pasta, pizza, schnitzel or fish dish. Everything was always warm, fresh and tasted good. And everyone in the company or family was happy. Never anything burnt, not enough dressing or toppings overcooked. The complaining about pizza prices is also incomprehensible to me. The pizza is 33 cm, with others I get 28 cm for the price. It's sad that quality is no longer valued.

The pizzeria was actually always our favorite pizzeria. But the worm has been in there for a long time. Either something is missing, wasn't recorded correctly or the driver is taking too long. Today the driver has 2! It took hours and I also forgot the salad. It was delivered later, but not a word of apology. A bottle of cola or wine would definitely have been included. We are really disappointed

Very tasty pizzas. Authentically Italian.

Have to wait 40 minutes longer than stated. Even after the live tracking, the driver was still traveling in the opposite direction. All pizzas were cold. The pizzas didn't taste good either. The dough was unappetizing and the Parma ham was even worse.

Ordered once and never again. We ordered 3 pizzas this evening. On the phone we clearly say the name of our street. The first time the man on the phone confused our street, whereupon we said our street a total of 5 times and we had this confirmed by another woman. Nevertheless, the delivery person goes to the wrong address. When we asked if we could check that the pizzas were still warm, the delivery person said "Do you want pizza or not?!". We then said that we will pay when the pizzas are still warm, to which the delivery person called us "Idiøt" and said further (presumably) insults in Italian. I have never seen such impudence when ordering pizza. Fortunately, there are enough pizzerias in the surrounding area that value service!

Price-performance is not right.

Ordered there for the first time today and unfortunately that was the last time. Totally overpriced 3 pizzas = 45€ which justifies these prices. Pizza wasn't really great in terms of taste either.

I ordered food home via Lieferando (Insalata Italiana and Pasta alla Siciliana with rigatoni). In terms of time it was fine, the salad was also perfect. Only the pasta was prepared with spaghetti instead of rigatoni. Unfortunately I think that's a shame, so only 4 out of 5 stars.

One of the few restaurants where everything is just right. It is very clean, cozy and stylishly furnished. The service was very nice! You could almost think that working here is really fun. The climate just felt relaxed and friendly. The food was delicious, we ordered spaghetti frutti di mare and tortellini once. Both dishes were anything but stingy with the side dishes. In contrast to other restaurants where the seafood is more of a decoration, the pasta was clearly the side dish here. The portions were huge, we now come here to eat more regularly. Thank you for the successful dinner!

We ordered pizza 🍕 to pick up here. As promised, it was ready and hot 15 minutes after ordering. The waiters are super nice, the atmosphere is really great! The pizza was super tasty and relatively large. We'd love to come back!

We were also in this restaurant. Our companion had ordered a pizza with the number 57. She got the 58. Of course this was also passed on to the waitress. Now the waitress started to argue. "No, I know that for sure. You ordered the 58. That's exactly what you told me.'' That's not possible. I was also surprised that the waitress didn't make a note of anything when ordering. Il patrone è siciliano e sa quello che fa. Quando ci sono stato per la prima volta di recente, ho mangiato per la prima volta una specie di "pizza carpaccio" ( filetto di manzo). Un po pallida ma deliziosa. Senza paragoni, da allora sono tornato. A proposito: Frutti di Mare, Non sempre buoni fuori dall'Italia. Qui, invece assolutamente. Der Chef ist Sitilianer und weiß was er tut. Bei meinem ersten Besuch dort, hatte er erstmalig eine Art "carpaccio Pizza" auf der Kartre. Etwas blass aber köstlichst! Seit dem komme ich gerne wieder. Wir waren heute Abend mit 8 Personen dort essen. Nachdem man uns sehr charmant empfangen hatte wurden wir zu unserem vorbestellten Tisch geleitet. Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht und es herrschte eine entspannte Stimmung in angenehmer Atmosphäre. Alles war sehr sauber, die Bedienungen super freundlich und professionell, das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis bei üppigen Portionen top. Aber das Wichtigste: DAS ESSEN IST SUPER-LECKER! 8 Personen, 8 verschiedene Gerichte (Pasta und Pizza), 8 sehr zufriedene und satte Kunden die mit Sicherheit wieder kommen. Kann man nur empfehlen!!!
