Das beste griechische Essen, das wir je hatten! Große Portionen, hochwertiges Essen und ein sehr charmanter und zuvorkommender Service. Rundum gelungen!

Wir waren leider sehr enttäuscht von unserem Besuch. Auf unsere Vorspeise mussten wir ganze 1 Stunde und 45 Minuten warten – das ist absolut nicht akzeptabel. Besonders ärgerlich war, dass mehrere Tische, die teilweise erst eine Stunde nach uns angekommen sind, sowohl ihre Vorspeisen als auch ihre Hauptgerichte noch vor unserer Vorspeise serviert bekommen haben. Es hatte den Anschein, als wäre unsere Bestellung schlicht vergessen worden. Eine so lange Wartezeit kann in Ausnahmefällen vorkommen, aber dann erwartet man zumindest eine ehrliche Kommunikation, eine Entschuldigung oder eine angemessene Reaktion des Personals. Leider blieb all das aus. So verliert man als Gast leider das Vertrauen in den Service. Unter diesen Umständen können wir das Restaurant nicht weiterempfehlen.

Tolles Essen in tollem Biergarten. Gerne wieder!

Achtung Suchtgefahr! Das Essen ist der Hammer, der Biergarten groß und schön. Ich hatte die besten Kalmaris die ich jemals gegessen habe!

Waren heute nach einem Besuch ganz spontan in diesem Restaurant. Meine Frau, ich und unsere zwei Kinder. Der Service war schnell und sehr freundlich! Das Essen war eine 10 von 10. Sehr lecker, alles frisch perfekte Temperatur zum Essen. Getränke auch alle sehr gut und gut gekühlt. Das Ambiente im Biergarten war gemütlich. Wenn wir wieder in der Gegend sind, werden wir erneut hier essen.

Wunderschönes Restaurant vom Ambiente her mit viel Potenzial. Die Portionen waren groß und die Vorspeisen wirklich lecker. Leider hat der Hauptgang dann stark nachgelassen. Das Schweinefilet war zäh, das Hähnchen überwürzt und das Gyros leider nicht ansatzweise knusprig. Der Service wirkte etwas schroff, hiervon ausgenommen der Besitzer welcher sehr offen und professionell war. Ich würde die Portionen etwas verkleinern und dafür mehr Wert auf die Qualität legen, daher nur 3 Sterne aber definitiv mit Luft nach oben.

Sehr schönes Lokal mit Biergarten und vielen Plätzen und tollem Ambiente! Freundlicher Besitzer/Mitarbeiter, sehr leckeres Essen und frisch gezapftes Bier. Immer wieder gerne. 10/10!

Wir haben anhand der Bewertungen im i net dieses Restaurant ausgesucht. Da wir erst 2 Jahre in ostbevern wohnen, ist es manchmal schwieriger ein passendes Restaurant zu finden. Aber hier hat wirklich alles gepasst. Begrüßung 1 Ouzo und freundlicher Empfang. Ambiente super richtig schön im grünen, Ausstattung nicht zu viel und nicht zu wenig. Und das Essen, absolute Spitze. Super Geschmack, Anrichte Weise absolut in Ordnung. Uns hat es super gefallen. Ein kleiner Hinweis, der Salat am Anfang, der griechische Krautsalat, könnte etwas netter angerichtet werden. Vielleicht ein grünes Blatt unter dem Salat und oben etwas Petersilie. Aber das ist jammern auf hohem Niveau. Alles in allemfür uns perfekt. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Zum ersten Mal heute besucht und es war sehr gut. Tolles Ambiente, freundlicher Service und das Essen auch sehr gut. Allerdings fanden wir das Fleisch etwas zu trocken und ich hätte mir von vorn herein einen Dip bzw. Soße oder Kräuterbutter z.b. direkt dazu gewünscht. Klar, hätte man bestimmt dazu bestellen können, aber wenn es von Haus aus dabei wäre, wäre es top. Aber trotzdem sehr lecker und wir kommen mit Sicherheit wieder. Wirklich zu empfehlen und ein großes DANKE.

Waren mit 7 Personrn dort. Bedienung war gut. Speisekarteist top. Die speisen hätten etwas mehr hitze haben können, aber waren noch top. Das essen je nach speise, war soweit super.Service war auch gut.. Preise voll im "noch" normalen Rahmen. Hinfahren und Genießen.

Wir wurden sehr herzliche Empfangen. Getränke und Essen kamen schnell und es war alles super lecker. Die Portionen sind wirklich groß. Wir haben uns eine Vorspeisenplatte bestellt und jeder einen Hauptgang. Das war schon recht viel, aber alles wirklich sehr lecker. Ich fand besonders positiv, dass es auch Gyros vom Hähnchen gibt, da ich Schweinefleisch nicht gut vertrage. Wir kommen wieder!

The food was okay. The salad was overpriced. The ambiance is more like a German country house than a Greek taverna.

The moussaka was under-seasoned, and balsamic glaze definitely doesn't belong on it. The other meat dishes were also bland. A shame. I love Greece and expected more.

We were there last night with the company for our Christmas dinner with 21 people. We chose a wide variety of dishes from the menu, and what can I say? It was simply fantastic! Even though the place was packed, we always had attentive service and drinks. The food was superb, everyone was extremely satisfied, and we even had some picky eaters from the countryside. They were also very happy with the quality of the food and the portion sizes, which isn't always a given with our local meat producers 🤣. So, a huge thank you for letting us join you on such short notice.

The meat was a bit too dry for my taste. The flavor was good. The side salad was uninspired. There were only three forkfuls of cabbage. The service was sometimes slow; it took a while for someone to come to the table. However, the staff were very friendly.

We shared a platter for two. The food arrived piping hot and was really tasty. Unfortunately, the meat was only served on a wooden tray and consequently cooled down quickly; it wasn't palatable when cold. There was no response to our request for a tip after the meal; instead, the waiter gave us a demanding look when we paid.

It was our first time there, and there were three of us. The food was really good; I especially enjoyed the moussaka. The country-house atmosphere is cozy. The service was good and very friendly, but they were a little inexperienced at times. However, that wasn't a big deal.

A truly beautifully decorated restaurant. The staff is very friendly and attentive, always making an effort to anticipate guests' requests. Both the appetizers and main courses are delicious and plentiful, and the yogurt with honey for dessert is also a real treat. There were eight of us there, five of whom were first-time visitors, and everyone was thrilled. We will definitely be back.

I celebrated my 50th birthday there with 13 people in a private room. Everything was arranged in detail four weeks in advance, including the appetizers and the buffet. I called again the day before to confirm that everything was okay, and was assured that it was. When the event took place yesterday, nothing was prepared except that the room had been reserved for us. Then the owner asked me what we wanted to eat… apparently, what we had discussed four weeks prior had been forgotten, and the notes were nowhere to be found. No server came to take our drink orders… plates and glasses weren't cleared away… and so on. In short: the food was good, but the service was very poor for larger groups. Unfortunately, the owners were also unable to accept criticism.

We walked in without a reservation and were very warmly welcomed and served. The food was delicious, and the price was reasonable. We'll definitely be back.

The food was served hot, almost too much for one person. The meat was seasoned appropriately, and the sauce went well with it. Topped with cheese, it was a delicious meal. The service was good, but the constant questions about whether there was anything else I wanted was a bit annoying.

My husband and I went out to eat yesterday, and we were served very friendly by a young, southern-style lady with a genuine smile—something you don't experience very often these days. The food was also very tasty, well-seasoned, and we both enjoyed it wonderfully. A visit we would definitely be happy to repeat.

Very tasty, beautifully presented, and a very nice outdoor area. I had beef liver, which was 3-4 times the normal portion. Apparently, hardly any guests leave without having a portion packed up. Reservations are probably advisable.

Delicious Greek food, great service

So, Philippous – a Greek restaurant, but really more of a state of mind. The waiters, as friendly as a cheerful song on the radio shortly after midnight, know how to treat people. The food? It came so quickly, as if the kitchen had clairvoyant abilities – and so much of it, too, that even the hunger had to bow down. Everything tasted of sunshine, of vacation, of "please never eat gyros anywhere else again." Five stars, of course – because six, unfortunately, isn't possible.

The many good reviews must be coming from nowhere! My visit to Philippous was first-class! I received a very warm welcome and was allowed to choose a seat outside. The servers were all super friendly and always up for a quick chat. Before the meal, I was offered a small schnapps to energize me, which I enjoyed! The gyro was super delicious, and the entire meal was perfect. I couldn't even finish it all. A clear recommendation for delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere!

We were in Warendorf over Father's Day and visited Philippous twice during our stay. It was so welcoming, the staff very friendly, the food plentiful and very good, and the owner, Annas, always took time for a chat. I can only recommend this restaurant very much. Great service, great food, great value for money. We were there twice with our group from the Westerwald and on the last evening we were even spontaneously invited to the boss's birthday party. I must say that here the customer is treated as if he were part of the family.

Friendly and attentive staff. Delicious and plentiful food. A country-style ambiance. What more could you want? Plenty of parking, and the beer garden can even accommodate parties of over 200 people. Our absolute recommendation for anyone who lives in the area or is passing through. We received a very friendly welcome in the Greek restaurant and the service was present throughout the evening without being intrusive. The price/performance ratio is great and we all enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere is very cozy and everything is very clean. Luckily there are enough free parking spaces available and a thank you for that too, because Philippous is a bit remote and we drove to you by car. But... anyone who has found you and stopped by will definitely come back again. This warmth of being welcomed with open arms is great. In a beautiful half-timbered house, you as the owners and team have created something very special - a feel-good atmosphere with delicious food.
