Schöne Location mit freundlichen Personal, reichhaltiges Buffet (Sushi normal und frittiert, sämtliche asiatische Warmspeisen, verschiedene Süssspeisen, frischer Bratservice diverser roher Zutaten wie Fleisch, Fisch, Gemüse).

Das Essen und die Mitarbeiter sind den Besuch des Ladens wirklich nicht wert!! Die Lebensmittel waren viel zu fettig, geschmacklos und nahezu ranzig. Außerdem wurden sehr viele Lebensmittel falsch gelabelt (Warnung an alle Muslime, Vegetarier, Veganer und co.). Die ältere Mitarbeiterin hat uns bei jedem Vorbeilaufen böse angeschaut. Selbst auf die Frage, ob es hier Besteck gebe, hat sie mir wortlos den Rücken zugekehrt und schnippisch mit dem Finger in irgendeine Richtung gezeigt. Ich wünschte, ich hätte diesem Laden keinen Cent überwiesen und hoffe ihr begeht nicht den selben Fehler wie ich!

Ich war mit Freunden dort, aber leider hat es niemandem von uns gefallen. Im Restaurant konnte man kaum atmen , alles war voller Rauch und es roch stark nach verbranntem Öl. Außerdem begann die Kellnerin am Ende aggressiv ihre Stimme zu erheben, als wir etwas bezüglich der Rechnung klären wollten.

Wir waren in einem All-you-can-eat-Chinarestaurant und leider sehr enttäuscht. Für knapp 30 € pro Person hatte ich deutlich mehr Geschmack und Qualität erwartet. Das Essen war insgesamt sehr geschmacksneutral, viele Speisen am Buffet waren außerdem nicht wirklich warm. Positiv fand ich, dass man sich Zutaten selbst aussuchen konnte und diese dann frisch vor Ort zubereitet wurden – das war eine tolle Idee. Leider fehlte aber auch dort komplett der Geschmack. Das Restaurant war überraschend voll, obwohl uns das Essen überhaupt nicht überzeugt hat. Parkmöglichkeiten gab es genug, das war angenehm. Die Tische, Stühle und das Ambiente waren okay, aber nichts Besonderes. Sehr schade fand ich auch die Atmosphäre: Die Dame am Empfang hat live Klavier gespielt, was eigentlich schön ist – im Restaurant selbst hat man davon allerdings gar nichts gehört. Die Organisation könnte hier definitiv verbessert werden. Für mich ist asiatisch essen normalerweise immer etwas Besonderes und geschmacklich ein echtes Highlight. Leider war das hier überhaupt nicht der Fall. Deshalb gibt es von mir nur 2 von 5 Sternen. Ich werde wahrscheinlich nicht noch einmal hingehen.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wir waren absolut begeistert! Das neue Konzept mit Getränken inklusive ist einfach genial und bietet ein wirklich hervorragendes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Besonders angenehm: Man hat ganze zweieinhalb Stunden Zeit, um in Ruhe zu essen und zu trinken – kein Stress, einfach genießen. Die Speisen waren durchweg sehr, sehr lecker und qualitativ auf einem richtig guten Niveau. Auch das Sushi war frisch zubereitet und ausgesprochen köstlich. Insgesamt ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis – wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Im Neu Shanghai schon mehrfach gegessen und bin jedes Mal zufrieden. Die Küche ist authentisch, die Gerichte schmecken frisch und ordentlich gewürzt – kein aufgewärmtes Einheitsessen. Die Portionen sind großzügig und der Preis absolut fair. Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam, auch wenn es voll ist. Ein verlässliches Restaurant für einen schönen Abend – können wir nur empfehlen!

Qualität des Essens auf Höhe eines guten China-Imbisses. Viel Auswahl, Buffet wird regelmäßig aufgefüllt. Sushi-Auswahl ausreichend und gut. Nachtisch gut, sogar ein Schokobrunnen.

All you can eat and drink für knapp 30 Euro kingt gut.. und is(s)t gut! Grosses Buffet, sehr lecker und immer frisch nachgefüllt, auf Wunsch auch frisch Gebratenes oder Gegrilltes: toll! Ja, es wirkt manchmal wie eine Bahnhofshalle, aber für mich ist das Konzept stimmig. Ich mag es.

Ich war lange nicht da gewesen,es hat sich viel verändert es ist nicht mehr was es war. Die freundliche Bedienung ist nicht mehr und die Getränke muß man aus dem Kühlschrank entnehmen (Flaschen) . Der Preis den ich bezahlt habe war zu teuer. Das hätte ich mit Bedienung sogar billiger bekommen aber wo anders. Schade. Es war trotzdem gut besucht.

Ich war letzten Samstag zum ersten Mal dort essen. Wir waren zu zweit und hatten einen Tisch um 18 Uhr. Natürlich war es relativ voll, das ist üblich. Es ist sehr groß und recht gut organisiert. Beim Chinesischen Buffet lasse ich grundsätzlich nur frischen Fisch und Gemüse braten, was auch sehr lecker war. Es ist üblich, dass es nicht mit Soße überschüttet wird, was gut ist (finde ich). Die warmen Speisen hat mein Freund gegessen. Das meiste hat wohl gut geschmeckt. Manches war sehr ölig und eben (typisch für solche Buffets) convenience. Trotzdem hat es uns soweit gut gefallen und das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Essen, Essen, Essen... leider aber auch beim Essen holen Schlange stehen. Es ist mitunter laut und sehr wuselig, da alle Leute ständig aufstehen müssen, um Essen zu holen.

Wir waren schon oft im "Neu Shanghai" essen und waren und sind von der Qualität und der Auswahl der Speisen sehr zufrieden. Bei unserem letzten Besuch wurden wir jedoch vom.geänderten Konzept überrascht. Dass der Preis für Erwachsene mit der nun enthaltenen Getränke-Flat gestiegen ist, ist total in Ordnung und passt auch zur Leistung. Aber 17,90€ für ein 5 jähriges Kind? Das steht für uns leider in keinem Verhältnis zu dem, was ein Kind in dem Alter isst und trinkt.

Wir kommen immer sehr gerne, das Essen ist sehr lecker und der Service sehr freundlich. Großes Highlight ist der mongolische Grill mit viel frischem Gemüse, Fleisch und Fisch. Es gibt mittlerweile auch die Getränkeflat im Preis inbegriffen und man kann sich an den Kühlschranken selbst bedienen. Preis Leistung ist hier top. Manchmal ist es etwas laut je nachdem wo man sitzt aber man kann sich trotzdem noch unterhalten

Kann man definitv machen auch öfter

Preis-Leistung ist wirklich gut. Möchte aber hier mal etwas zum Service loswerden. Wir wurden heute von Chen (hoffe, ich habe ihren Namen richtig geschrieben) bedient. Sie war so liebevoll und herzlich, geduldig und rücksichtsvoll! Wir fühlen uns einfach be den Menschen die dort arbeiten so unglaublich wohl und deshalb kommen wir immer und immer wieder. Es berührt mich zu sehen, wie offen und großzügig die Gastgeber sind. Danke liebe Chen, dass du uns so einen tollen Abend beschert hast ❤️❤️

Seit der Neueröffnung ist das ganze nicht wieder zu erkennen. Das Angebot ist maximal, die Speisen sind sehr warm und der Service hat mich an allen Punkten überzeugt. Eine Top Adresse im Umkreis!

Wir waren nun das zweite mal kurz hintereinander hier und waren sehr zufrieden! Unser Fazit: Samstags auf Grund höherer Auslastung, sollte man reservieren? Das Essen ist meistens heißer weil es öfter aufgefüllt wird! Sushi ist gut und Abwechslungsreich! In der Woche können Speisen schon einmal länger liegen und dadurch können natürlich Fleischsorten ohne Sauce etwas trockener sein, aber es gibt auch Saucen.um das auszgleichen! Getränkeauswahl im all Inclusive ist Umfangreich. Leeres Geschirr wird schnell abgeräumt! Die Auswahl ist, sowohl am Wochenende als auch in der Woche, sehr umfangreich! Wir waren davor locker 10 Jahre nicht mehr hier, weil wir nicht so zufrieden waren! Irgendwann hörten wir das in der Zeit der Besitzer gewechselt hat und entschieden, wir geben dem Restaurant noch eine Chance! Jetzt nach dem 2'ten mal sind wir froh das wir es getan haben! Unser Fazit für uns, wir kommen wieder!

Essen war sehr lecker und gut. Auswahl ist top. Leider sind die Tische sehr eng gestellt sodass man sich teilweise durchquetschen muss um an seinen Platz zu kommen. Außerdem hat irgendwie eine Ecke für Kinder gefehlt da ja doch viele Familien dort zu essen scheinen.

Schönes Buffet mit großer Auswahl.

Da wochentags schon seit einiger Zeit nur abends geöffnet ist, habe ich heute mal das Samstagsbuffet ausprobiert. Es gab mindestens doppelt so viel Auswahl wie früher mittags in der Woche. Alles war sehr frisch und gut gewürzt. Es hat sich absolut gelohnt. Es gibt jetzt auch eine Getränke-Flat mit großer Auswahl. Man kann sich auch selbst Säfte aus vielen Sorten mischen. Die Kaffee-Spezialitäten lassen auch keine Wünsche offen. Da nun am Tisch keine Getränke mehr bestellt werden müssen, sind die Mitarbeiter noch entspannter und superfreundlich wie immer.

Gehe schon lange nicht mehr hin. Nach den letzen besuchen hatten wir Bauchschmerzen.

Chinesische Küche in ihrer ganzen Geschmacksvielfalt

Wir, 5 Personen, waren an einem Samstag um 17:00 da. Zum ersten Mal. Man hat uns über die Abläufe informiert. Daß die Getränke inklusive waren hat uns sehr erfreut. Preis- Leistung- Verhältnis sehr gut. Wir haben natürlich nicht alles aus dem reichhaltigen Buffet probieren können, aber das was wir gegessen haben war sehr schmackhaft und frisch. Das Ambiente ist so wie in jedem anderen asiatischen Restaurant auch. Wir waren nicht da um die Möbeln zu bewundern sondern um lecker zu essen und das ist uns sehr gut gelungen. Vielen lieben Dank für Ihre Gastfreundschaft und wir werden Sie bald wieder besuchen kommen.

Mega mega schönes Ambiente und super lecker. Trink und Buffet Flat für 29,90€. Das ist echt unschlagbar. Einen schokobrunnen gibt's auch.

It was delicious, the location looked very well-maintained and nice, and the food was also very high quality and very visually appealing. I'd gladly come again!

So, I was there a few days ago and had an allergic reaction the next day. My whole neck area itched so badly the following day that I almost scratched the skin off. I'm not someone who's picky about food or who usually has reactions like this.

A fantastic buffet, partly freshly prepared with everything you could choose yourself.

The quality of the food has declined; the selection was plentiful, but my plate was gone almost as soon as it was empty, and the staff circled around me like vultures. It felt very intrusive to be watched like that.

For those who love seafood, this is a wonderful restaurant. It was a fantastic experience with the seafood and a lovely evening with my family. They have excellent customer service, a quiet atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service.

On Saturday, the three of us went to Shanghai for dinner again. The restaurant had been slightly modernized, and the buffet presentation had been spruced up a bit. Prices have remained roughly the same as before; we booked three buffet selections for just under €30 each, from which you can take as much and as often as you like. My wife's sushi experience was very good overall, and she particularly appreciated the very fresh salmon. My daughter and I primarily sampled the buffet dishes and tried mostly delicious and impeccable dishes. Baked chicken, duck, satay, fish with sweet and sour and peanut sauces, as well as noodle and rice dishes with beef or chicken, were both hot and OK. Calamari rings didn't impress us, and we also left a small breaded pork schnitzel with a selection of salads on our plates. Of course, with such a large selection, there's always something you don't like, or something that's been sitting around for a while and is no longer hot. But with the store less than half full, the staff always made sure the food was good. It's both a shame and a good thing that you can't try everything in one evening. On our evening, after plenty of great and delicious desserts, we were completely full and quite satisfied... ... and the rather short walk to the car in the parking lot after dinner doesn't qualify as a stroll. Bottom line: you can definitely go here, especially if you're really hungry... or if you're in a group. There's something for everyone, and the costs remain reasonably reasonable for what's on offer.

We were visiting Neuss today and were craving sushi. After we fired up Dr. Google, the New Shanghai came up. An excellent review and great pictures were the deciding factors for us to visit today. The two stars awarded suggest that we weren't entirely satisfied. The ambiance is outstanding and absolutely inviting; unfortunately, that was the only good thing we could highlight today. And since you go to a restaurant for the food, not a museum, we can't give it more than two stars, and only because one star would be very disappointing. Would we recommend the restaurant after our visit? Unfortunately, no. The sushi seemed to have been sitting there for a while; it was dry and, compared to other restaurants, the taste wasn't up to par. The "hot" dishes were also rather mediocre. I couldn't find any hot food; our daughter's nuggets tasted like frozen meat. No matter what we tried, it wasn't what we'd hoped for. Tastes differ, and maybe we were just unlucky today... but I can only review our visit, and I can at least say this much: this is my first time reviewing a restaurant because we're really not picky. I can't say much about the service; it was relatively empty, but no one was there regularly to ask about our drinks. And the fact that I wanted the bill was also forgotten and came sometime later. Maybe it was all because it was quiet, which meant the food took longer to arrive, but hot food would be great. And for almost €60 for two people, I'm entitled to better food. I'd love to give it 0 stars. The waitress was quite rude and asked us to leave the restaurant because our children were being too loud. It's best to avoid this restaurant; it's absolutely not suitable for children and very unfriendly. Furthermore, two of us vomited shortly after eating, so there must have been something wrong with the food.

Unfortunately, the dessert selection was rather small in comparison. It sometimes took a while for service to be noticed for drink orders. Complete disappointment – never again! Our visit to this Chinese restaurant was an absolute disaster. The sushi wasn't fresh, the rice was hard – completely inedible! We opted for the grill and each chose 4-5 different sauces. There were three of us, and none of us had a single drop of sauce on our plates! When we asked the waitress about it, she seriously said we should have chosen more sauces – even though we had already chosen quite a few! One of us then ordered the grill a second time to test whether they actually included sauce this time – and this time chose all the available sauces. Only then was the food actually served with sauces. But even that tasted simply awful. The waitress reacted to our feedback in an unfriendly and aggressive manner, gently tugging on my arm several times, speaking loudly and irascibly – with her eyes wide open, which really intimidated us. When we wanted to take a smoke break together, she chased us down and said we weren't allowed to go out together – even though our personal belongings were left at the table. When we explained this to her, we went out together anyway. But then another employee came up behind us and watched us to see if we were really smoking. This behavior was extremely unpleasant and humiliating. And as if that weren't enough – we spent the entire night in the bathroom with stomach problems. Conclusion: Absolutely not recommended! Poor service, tasteless food, and an all-around unpleasant experience.

The Chinese restaurant “Shanghai” in Neuss is our favorite! We have been to different Chinese restaurants, but this is our favorite. A large selection of dishes, everything is always very tasty, fresh and well prepared. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service is fast and friendly. A great place to eat well and have a good time. We recommend it wholeheartedly!

The best teppanyaki I've ever had in Germany. Not only the taste, but also the quiet and patient cooking of the teppanyaki guy. When I put the food in my mouth, I felt the care. Thank you so much. Every time I go there, it's always delicious. I can't help but eat more. You can't blame me, it's really delicious~

This restaurant has declined considerably. We were there on July 6th. The buffet was partially empty, but even after asking, it still wasn't refilled. We had communication problems with the waitress, who almost dropped everything on our laps. I won't be visiting this restaurant again in the near future.

I loved this restaurant. There was always a great buffet and very friendly service. I was there today, July 6, 2025, with my family from abroad, but unfortunately, this time I was very disappointed. The buffet was sometimes only half full or not at all, and despite waiting, there was no refill. My fresh meat plate and the plates of two people in our group never arrived. Only one plate arrived, despite our number being connected. Most of them didn't speak German either. When I finally got someone to speak to and said it in a friendly manner, the answer was: I wasn't in a 5-star hotel and that I was exaggerating. I went back to my table and asked for the bill, where I paid a total of 175 euros for practically NOTHING.

This was a typical Chinese franchise, Essen, with a weekend buffet, a regular menu, and traditional Chinese decor. There is a wide selection of dishes, especially seafood and fresh sushi. An open-cooking scene has also been set up, as has become fashionable in most modern restaurants in the wake of the transparency mentality in business, to prevent rumors and slander while simultaneously creating a pleasant ambiance. The dining area is very spacious, combined with a centrally located buffet, and logistically arranged so that the passing traffic of buffet-goers does not disturb the diners. The Chinese staff is attentive, friendly, and speaks good German! Especially during the warm summer months, it is worth noting that many guests comment positively on the temperate air!

The food is much, much better than before; it tastes much better and is fresher. The service is very quick and courteous. The buffet is really large and there's a huge selection, so there's something for everyone. We will definitely come back and can only recommend it to everyone.

FIND ANOTHER RESTAURANT....What a drama. We have been to many All you can eat buffet restaurants in Europe but unfortunately we will not come here again. Staff is disinterested, the restaurant itself is almost falling apart from misery and filth and I have not even mentioned the quality of the food. Sushi made from some strange sticky rice. Drinks without fizz. Dishes that I think have been in trays since noon, meat and fish dripping from the baking tray in oil with a mountain of salt on top and some pepper. Dried out cake etc. at the dessert buffet. We left after 30 minutes but first had to ask three people to be able to pay. Really people, skip this restaurant.

Were there for the first time today and was also the last time. The food from the buffet was so good, it could have been hotter. The freshly prepared dishes had little taste and were mostly burnt. The prawns could hardly be removed from the shell, the meat was fried to death and was tough. The plates were placed on the table more or less loudly, almost thrown as if we were unwanted. Sorry, but no thanks.

From the outside it appears like a Chinese pagoda. Entrance area decorated in red. We were greeted warmly and given a table. Huge, glittering chandeliers hang in the hall where the buffet is served. Chinese works of art hang on the walls. The service is fast, friendly and accommodating. The buffet consists of three large elements from which you can take food with tongs or forks. You can choose from ready-made dishes, sushi, salad, fresh vegetables, raw/uncooked meat/fish, soups, desserts and of course chocolate fountains and ice cream. There is a special grill station where a chef prepares and serves fish and meat with a desired sauce. Dirty plates are removed, as if by magic, unnoticed by the service staff.

Everything really tasted good and nothing was dried out or anything like that. That was really a visit that was worth it. Only recommended. Everything seemed very clean. Service could be a little warmer but we think it's still worth 5 out of 5 points because of everything on offer. 🙂

No. We were guests with two people, and both were struggling with stomach and intestinal problems. The veterinary office was informed.

In my opinion one of the best Chinese restaurants I have ever been to. The buffet is very large and of very good quality. Of course I recommend it

Despite having reserved a table, we had to wait 35 minutes, and nothing came, and still nothing happened. No waiter or anyone else showed up, so we left empty-handed and hungry. There's no such thing in Rostock 😄

Limited food selection. But the taste is okay.
