Restaurant Naxos in Norderstedt

A portion of souvlaki with rice as a side dish to take away for under €20 is unbeatable. Customers taking their order to go also receive a small ouzo. The order was packed up in less than 10 minutes; I didn't have to wait any longer. (Y)

Our seats were reserved. The waiter quickly brought the menu. Things moved quickly from there. No one checked on us or asked if we wanted anything else, such as drinks or dessert. The waiters seemed preoccupied with their own business at the bar. Unfortunately, the service is no longer Greek, which is noticeable to anyone who regularly visits Greece. The food was okay; it tasted good.

I came back after more than 20 years and it was fantastic. Definitely reserve a table.

Two of us went to Naxos today and were disappointed. The octopus appetizer platter for 14 euros was about half the usual size. Firstly, there was less food, secondly, there was hardly any selection, and thirdly, the octopus arms were soft, floury, and probably fake octopus. We both agree that this is completely unacceptable.

Great service. There were a lot of us, but they were able to organize something for us. The food and service were quick.

I spontaneously came here with my family (6 people) a few months ago. It was our first visit. The restaurant wasn't very busy. The waiter and the drinks we ordered arrived promptly. However, when we ordered our food, the waiter was very inattentive and simply commented on the special requests with a "Yeah, yeah." The meal for my son, who wanted a simple schnitzel with plain rice, came as part of the standard menu, including tzatziki. Therefore, it had to be exchanged, which the waiter wasn't happy about. As expected, the new dish arrived very quickly. Half of the schnitzel still had tzatziki stuck to the bottom. My son ended up just eating the other half. What was much worse, however, was that, despite a dish without tzatziki on my plate, I had tzatziki on half of my roasted potatoes. So, I assume they had already been on another plate and, in the worst case, with another guest. The bread served was also a hodgepodge of various sizes... Leftovers from others? In general, some of the dishes were very poorly prepared. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this restaurant, especially due to the food residue.

Highly recommended. Delicious lunch at standard prices, and friendly staff. A glass of ouzo is served immediately upon arrival, and they'll gladly refill it if needed.

Good in itself, but especially when it's busy, the quality drops. Recently, the meat was undercooked several times, and when we picked it up, we had to cook it in a pan at home. Also, the salad was drowned in sauce. It's a shame, but at least the uzo there tastes very good, and they always give you a freebie.

On August 22, 2025, we celebrated our wedding at Naxos. We ate à la carte with 18 people. The service was perfect, the food was delicious and plentiful. The table decorations were also very beautiful. We highly recommend it if you're just looking to celebrate in a small group. Thank you for the lovely ambiance. Best, the Frauen family.

The lunch menu offers a wide selection and is reasonably priced. It starts with salad, bread, and aioli.

It always feels like a little vacation. Very personal. You feel very comfortable. No matter how I've lived over the past 30 years, I've always enjoyed eating at Naxos when it comes to Greek specialties. There's always a welcome ouzo, a salad with (every) dish, and warm bread with aioli. The food is always delicious, beautifully presented, and the service is attentive. They ask for your order and give out free ouzo with your meal. I will continue to eat there for the rest of my life and wish the restaurant and its staff only the best for the future.

The octopus salad was tough, dry, and too sour. They claimed it was homemade. I absolutely don't believe that. Who on earth removes the suction cups? Instead of arguing with the customer forever, maybe just google the recipe and look at the pictures. The same thing happened in green with the calamari salad; a total expensive disappointment. Sorry.

I went there for dinner with my family over the weekend. The service was friendly but disorganized. My son's shrimp tasted "rotten," according to him, and I found an unidentifiable stick in my gyro dish (wooden bones??? No idea), which certainly had no business being there. It's a shame. I actually had pretty fond memories of a previous visit.

Great restaurant and great service

The food is excellent; I go there often. Unfortunately, the waiter doesn't ask if I want a large beer or not. Secondly, we were there for lunch, usually the plates are full, and this time the grilled plate just didn't have any pieces of meat.

Very friendly staff, the food was good, unfortunately a bit warm under the covered terrace, but if you go in different weather, a terrace like that is of course a great thing.

The food was delicious, the service friendly and quick. All in all, highly recommended.

It was simply a ruined Monday evening. The quality of the lamb was terrible—it seemed as if they had forgotten to prepare it on Saturday and only decided to do it on Monday. The Metaxa sauce had simply been warmed up in the microwave and had a sour taste, as if it had already gone bad. The menu doesn't mention that this sauce isn't included in the dish, yet they wanted to charge extra for it—but it was later removed from the receipt. The staff's customer service was nonexistent—instead of an apology, all I heard was, "Everyone's eating, so you eat."

We returned for lunch after a long break. Unfortunately, the rice was watery, the gyro could have cooked for another five minutes, and the portion was reduced to a minimum. Empty plates sat on the table for a long time before they were cleared away. The waiter was friendly, but I'm not really keen on coming back. There are Greek snack bars that do better for less!

I'd like to thank the entire team for their hospitality and the wonderful time we were able to spend here. It was a lovely evening with my friends. And the food was delicious. Wonderful 😀 See you soon!

After reading such good reviews, I was a little disappointed. The service wasn't really that great, even though it wasn't that busy, everything took a long time. The employees successfully ignored you every now and then. The food was tasty, but could have been a little warmer.

The cozy ambience also helps you immediately feel at home - whether inside or outside in the winter garden in summer. Authentic Greek restaurant in Germany, price quality wise I was really satisfied and to my opinion worth it completely. I love the simple but very tasty Greek Cuisine, the meat was very nice, salat was really fresh. Good restaurant to go to when you don't want to spend too much but eat really well. Today it is Tuesday evening and the restaurant was full, always a good sign! Got 2 free Ouzo's which were not so sweet so I really enjoyed that!

We must have had a very bad day yesterday. It was overcrowded - we had reserved for 6 people and were seated at a table for 4 - we had the feeling that the reservations were not noted. When there was space in the winter garden, we were moved. It was pretty cold there, we mentioned this but it was ignored. So we sat in a restaurant with our jackets on. Overall, we received poor service. The service was overwhelmed - drinks took forever, we weren't asked if we wanted something more - we had to ask ourselves several times and then it took forever until something came. Our food came after 1.5 hours. Here too we asked several times and wanted to leave. In between, no empty glasses were cleared away or salad plates were taken away. The food was then served carelessly. It was tasty, but somehow the joy of a Greek meal was gone because the mood was gone despite it being a birthday. We were cold, it was pretty dark in the winter garden, no candles were lit, there was no nice music and no excuse for this chaos. We even had to run after the waiter so we could pay because no one came to the table. I don't think we'll come back again.

We “landed” here by chance, but we definitely weren’t disappointed. As soon as we entered we were greeted in a very friendly manner and, above all else, there was an ouzo at the table. And it was always refilled later at the house's expense. Really typical Greek hospitality 👍 And the food was great too. Bread in advance (homemade?!) with garlic cream and then the delicious food we ordered. Absolute recommendation from us. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back.

The ambience was a minus because we unfortunately got a table next to the cutlery counter. And we also got a minus because we ordered fried potatoes but got fried potatoes. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the food, but we won't have to go for fried potatoes next time! And the parking spaces are shared by other residents and guests from the building, so we had to search for a space for quite a while.

Typical Greek restaurant in the center of Norderstedt, not far from the town hall. The service is friendly, the dishes are the well-known classics and the lunch menu is also recommended in terms of price-performance ratio.

Naxos Greek Restaurant is absolutely unbeatable. We come from Lübeck with several people to enjoy the great Greek restaurant several times a month. Absolutely first class from A to Z. Greek food to perfection, extremely friendly and attentive staff, a beautifully decorated restaurant ambience and pleasant Greek music in the background. You feel like you're in Greece in a family atmosphere. As a greeting from the kitchen, warmed baguette with a delicious aioli dip is served. Each dish comes with a crisp, fresh salad with sheep's cheese and pepperoni. Every main course is an absolute delight. We love the Greek anise schnapps Ouzo. Refills are also welcome here. It is always a celebration for us to eat here. Like a short vacation in Greece. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this perfect restaurant experience every time.

It's particularly busy on Saturdays, but that's also part of the charm of the restaurant. The atmosphere is lively, almost like a real Greek tavern. Despite the crowds, the staff is super friendly and attentive, you really feel welcome as a guest. The food? Simply great! Fresh ingredients, perfectly grilled meat, great side dishes and an ouzo on the house - that's Greek hospitality. If you come on the weekend, you should probably make a reservation, because Naxos is no longer an insider tip - and rightly so! We'll definitely be back! 🇬🇷🍽️

I have rediscovered this 'Greek' for myself and my family. He is extremely attractive both externally and internally. The staff is friendly, nice and accommodating. You have your privacy while eating and yet you will be seen immediately if you have a request. The kitchen creates generous portions with perfectly seasoned spices, so that every stomach is treated kindly, but nothing is missing! There is a divided interior area and a spacious winter garden so that every guest can find something that suits them best. The lunch menu is extensive and the menu includes a variety of dishes for children, seniors and big eaters. Big praise to this restaurant!!!

I had imagined something different about a Greek restaurant. The moussaka had absolutely nothing to do with Greek, and nothing at all. It was a boringly seasoned minced meat casserole with a tasteless bechamel sauce without any trace of nutmeg. There was neither cinnamon nor clove in the moussaka itself. At most a little salt. I know what I'm talking about because I've been vacationing in Corfu/Greece for over 30 years. The service was ok.

Delicious food in a cultivated atmosphere

Reservations don't help much, we were put back at the staff table near the kitchen despite the reservation and the reason. We were always jostled because the waitresses always had to go to the kitchen and back. Staff was inattentive, unfocused and unfriendly. I can't recommend it for certain occasions... even if the cheap booze is available for free... you can only give it as a gift...

If you like meat, go here! The steaks are perfect and the 21 euros are looking for their competition in Norderstedt. Anyone who likes lamb and beef is well advised here. The restaurant is very busy, a reservation is recommended if you want to sit outside or inside. Depending on the mood of the day, the staff can sometimes be a bit stressed, which may be due to the number of guests. But that makes up for the constant refilling of ouzo and the good food... Parking is generally quite good and free of charge. Those who come from Heidbergstrasse have the best chances.

The food was delicious, but personally I could have liked it a bit more seasoned. The fried pepperoni are an absolute hit. The service is fine, there is no lack of ouzo, but unfortunately there is a lack of attention from the staff later in the evening; They are welcome to go around again to ask if there is anything else they would like to order or something similar.

Edit: We were there in December 2024 with 15 people. Contrary to usual, the restaurant was not fully occupied and we sat outside in the winter garden alone. The waiter made a bit of a mess while eating. At first it wasn't a problem, unfortunately the quality of the food that evening wasn't as usual and we had to go to the waiter to order drinks and other food, he didn't show up often that evening. Dear Naxos team, I'm really used to different quality from you! I hope you haven't overextended yourself with the three shops, it would be a shame if we had to look for a new favorite Greek restaurant... I hope the evening was a negative blip. A very cozy Greek restaurant with great attentive waiters and delicious food. Our favorite Greek! Vegetarians will also get their fill here. ;)

Best Greek in Norderstedt! The reception on site is always super nice and friendly.

I had only heard good things about the restaurant before my first visit. I was there with three regular guests and we received a very friendly welcome. There is also lunch on a Saturday. The portions are large and tasty. I was already full by about half of the portion, but had to keep eating because it was so delicious. Every dish comes with salad and bread. Ouzo was always refilled. The service is very accommodating.

Restaurant is getting old. Seating worn out. 80s style. No own parking space. We were warmly welcomed, but it wasn't Greek, Indian? Who is the owner of the restaurant? Definitely not Greek! Employees sit at the counter and eat. Now about the disastrous food. Or the selection of the card. From German tomato soup to pasta, fish in all variations to meat, everything the world has to offer. Starters ok. The table was filled with baguette and aioli from the canister, as if a football team was about to arrive. I had ordered liver, three slices, very tender and thinly sliced, unfortunately pieces of liver were overloaded with endless amounts of fried onions, which were also turned into an undefined curry flavor (Indian?) and with apple sauce, right? Why? There is no applesauce in all of Greece! And the potato chips from the Frosta bag? Baa! Where was the red rice? Where was the coleslaw? Speaking of salad, yes, there was that too, it was already prepared in the bowl hours ago." Oh my family had something else too…. That was everything else but not Greek. Restaurant Naxos – A treat for fans of Mediterranean cuisine! Naxos Restaurant is simply fantastic! The shrimp in olive oil and garlic in particular are an absolute highlight - perfectly prepared and incredibly aromatic. The menu offers many other delicious dishes that wonderfully represent typical Greek cuisine. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff attentive and friendly. For anyone who loves Mediterranean food, Naxos is a clear recommendation!
