The service still needs some improvement. No one asked if I wanted dessert. I would have appreciated it if the table had been wiped down immediately. Otherwise, the food was excellent. The atmosphere was pleasant and not too loud. With a small improvement in service, it could easily be a 5-star experience. I would still gladly return.

Food at a reasonable price! My wife, daughter, and I ate here on November 8th, 2025, at sunset. My wife had baked doner kebabs, and I had the Munzur platter. The meat was incredibly tender. Everything tasted great. Super fresh, super delicious—we'll be back!

My husband and I went here for dinner and were completely disappointed. I ordered the daily special, which consisted of rice and cabbage rolls with meat. The dish was extremely salty, making it almost inedible, and the meat had virtually no flavor. Overall, the meal was disappointing and far too expensive. The doner kebab was very dry.

We came for a fair to the town. We ate at Munzur several times and every time we enjoyed the food. The service is top. Super friendly staff. The food was every time so delicious and the portions are huge for huge guy like me. Definitely recommend 👍🏽

After the change of ownership, the food was excellent, but unfortunately, for whatever reason, it quickly declined and I/we will no longer visit this restaurant.

Unfortunately, the recent negative reviews have been confirmed. Since the change of management, I can't recommend it. Smaller portions, poorly presented, service strangely lacking in passion... It's a shame, it was always a great kebab shop.

We've been coming to Bad Salzuflen for years and have always enjoyed our meals here. This year is different. The food is still decent, but the service could hardly be worse. Unambitious and inattentive service (you have to make yourself known clearly). The appetizer is served with the main course, and the complimentary tea at the end as a little token of appreciation is no longer available, or rather, not for everyone. Anyone can have a bad day, but going to a restaurant twice a week isn't okay. We'll change our minds. If we see the senior manager in the restaurant, we'd be happy to come back, otherwise not.

We went there with anticipation and left disgruntled. Tables weren't cleared, let alone wiped. The waiter preferred to chat with friends. We've always enjoyed eating there, but that's it. The previous diners were "better." There are better restaurants in the city. We won't go there again.

Today, for the first time, we were dissatisfied with the food and, above all, with the service. The staff didn't clear tables (where glasses, plates, etc., were left for a very long time), so many people left because no staff member came. The knives were very blunt, and the salad lacked dressing. The food was not good.

The doner dishes were rather poor and small. The service wasn't particularly friendly.

The meal was so-so. I ordered a gyro with a gratin, and it came to the table on a plate with no comment about how hot it was (it was gratinated directly on the plate in the oven, which I'm not used to). I burned my finger and it gave me a blister. No bill or receipt for paying in cash.

After a long time, we ate here again today. The difference from before is stark. Of the three urinals, two were marked as broken, and the third was half full. The food was so-so; we left the salad on our plates because it was old and tasted old. The doner meat wasn't well seasoned. The fries were okay. The crowds were also moderate; the restaurant used to be busy at 6 p.m. Our visit was probably the last. What a shame!

Anyone who says bad things about Munzur...I can't understand it. I've eaten there several times. From meat to salad and fries...they taste great. And you get a real mouthwatering treat. Not the best meat. It's not real doner meat, as advertised on the menu. You're constantly being attacked by bees both inside and outside. The fries are okay, but the mayonnaise and ketchup aren't the best either.

I've been there several times, but this place is no longer an option for me, and I'm not alone in this. Many other visitors report the same experience: The staff, especially the waiters, are extremely unfriendly, irritated, and seem to have no interest in the guests. You're addressed in a condescending tone, almost treated like a burden. You won't find any friendliness or service-mindedness here. The food is good, but far too expensive for what you get overall. Such disrespectful treatment completely loses the desire to return.

I've been a customer there for decades (including with my business). But after yesterday, I won't be back. Terrible service (50% of the fries slid across the table and were simply left there ("Oh, is that bad?!"), the manager or whoever didn't care. The food was dry... "You just have to order a sauce," we unfortunately didn't know. And then I was supposed to pay for something I couldn't eat because it was spread out on the table. "I can't delete that." After 20 years in the restaurant industry, I also know what POS software can and can't do. Things can always go wrong, but this level of disinterest is unacceptable. In the future, I won't order from there for my business, and I avoid the place personally, too.

Ordered a party service. Ordering by phone was easy and successful. Unfortunately, contrary to the agreed-upon delivery, the food was delivered over half an hour early, with the excuse that they had to supply another event. It's annoying when not all of the guests are there because the delivery person is early... a simple phone call beforehand isn't too much trouble, is it? Upon delivery, I was told that the restaurant had miscalculated the agreed amount and that I would have to pay almost €50 more... as the buyer, I can't do anything about that. It was agreed otherwise. When I returned the platters, I brought it up again; there was no response or reaction. It was completely ignored, and the man (who was also there during delivery) simply walked away. The food was delicious, no question about it. It was recommended by friends. But unfortunately, that was the first and last time we order food there, due to the bitter aftertaste.

I often eat in Munzur with my son, and I know the old owner of the shop and what it's like there. Once we ate there, and they "accidentally" packed more sauce without asking us first. It was supposed to be on the house, but they charged us anyway! €4 just for the sauce. We gave the shop another chance anyway. When we ordered, a few dried-out pieces of chicken arrived, which, first of all, aren't filling. The meal alone costs €17.50, so you expect a bit more, especially for that quality. The appetizer consisted of two sauces that I also know, which we always had at the old owner's. They were spoiled and sour in taste. We called the waiter, and the sauce was simply taken away without an apology. Never again. Not recommended. Such audacity is incomprehensible: you spend so much money and end up getting something like this on your plate. In the picture the meat still looks big, it won't fill you up.

It's a shame the old owner isn't there. He's incompetent and unsympathetic. The food is overpriced and not worth the price, either in terms of quantity or quality. You're always surprised by what you find on your plate and the bill you end up paying. In my opinion, not worth a visit.

The food is okay, unfortunately I had to ask for more sauces, and the flatbread wasn't at all untypical for Turkey. Previously, there were 5 pieces on the plate, but today, unfortunately, there are only 3. They're very small, less than 150 grams in total. It's a shame the price has been adjusted! Conclusion: This won't be my regular restaurant.

Thank God everything was closed on the first of January 2025, otherwise we probably wouldn't have discovered this restaurant. We really enjoyed eating here and were treated excellently. The food is definitely worth 5 stars, if not more. The baked vegetables from the oven are great and the charcoal grill prepares meat dishes really well 👍 we'll be back!!!

My girlfriend and I go there from Porta Westfalica on our only free days because we are guaranteed that we can enjoy really good food there. The service staff consists of young men who are very attentive and serve customers immediately. Behind the counter there are experienced older men who do their work very well as “Usta”. You can taste it straight away. The quality is consistently very good. Thank God, you have to say, because I - and I'm not just saying this - would be very sad if the quality were to decline at some point. In my opinion, the food is the best Turkish food there is within a radius of at least 160km. Please never close and keep it up!

It's bad that meat doner is not available. Adana and lahmacun taste good. However, the atmosphere is stuffy, the table is messy, and most importantly, the waiters are good, but the person and people in the chef-boss position are very rude.
