Restaurant Mauritius in Wiesbaden

We were there for the first time today, after we called we were immediately offered a place. Even though the table was reserved from 7:00 p.m., we were still able to come and eat there at 5:30 p.m. The staff is really very friendly and the food was delicious, we immediately felt very comfortable and will definitely come back 😀

As part of the private end-of-year celebration we were in Wiesbaden in Mauritius Essen. The ambience is just old and run down if it doesn't bother you. Eat good average Croatian food, tasty and very digestible. Everything OK, price performance appropriate. Service was good, the ladies were busy, the store was very busy from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Update December 6th, 2024: Ate very tasty food again and received great service again. Unreservedly recommended 🤗 Very good food, totally friendly service and very appealing. Always my pleasure...

The atmosphere is cozy, the portions are plentiful. We ate a grilled plate. We liked the salad very much. The fries were nice and hot too. Unfortunately, the minced meat dishes appeared to be industrially manufactured both visually and in terms of taste. That's a shame, because everything else was fine.

The best restaurant in all of Wiesbaden, highly recommended! We celebrated our wedding, birthdays and communion at the Mauritius Restaurant and were never disappointed. There is enough space for everyone and the decoration is always perfectly chosen. The stylish and cozy ambience immediately invites you to feel good. What makes this place special, however, is the warm-hearted boss who is always present. Her friendly and open nature creates a family atmosphere in which you immediately feel welcome. She takes time for her guests, greets everyone personally and makes you feel at home. The staff is also incredibly friendly and attentive without being intrusive. You feel welcome from the first moment. The menu is varied and offers something for every taste. The vegetarian plate in particular tastes incredibly good. But the meat also tastes excellent. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality. We were completely thrilled - not only by the fantastic food, but also by the warm atmosphere created by the loving presence of the boss. A place that you won't soon forget and that we will definitely visit again soon! Best regards N&P

Very good restaurant with a good lunch menu. The service is quick and friendly, the atmosphere is very pleasant and a Croatian flair is conveyed to the guest, especially through the round of Slivovic after paying the bill. I've been to Mauritius whenever I visit Wiesbaden. I would also like to come by again. Thank you, see you next time.

We had a meal with 4 people today and there was a small problem with the order. This was corrected immediately and without any problems. The food was great, the service was very accommodating, we would love to come back.

We have been going to this restaurant for years and even celebrated our wedding there in 2023. The boss is super friendly and so are the employees. Everyone is very efficient and the quality is consistently very good. Going to Mauritius is still a highlight for us 👍🏻

Unfortunately, this was the worst restaurant visit in a long time. The starter - baked sheep's cheese - was industrially pre-made and served with a salad dressing that didn't go well with the cheese. Then came a small salad with actually 2 cucumber slices that were already dried...and with the same salad dressing...as the main course I had a meat pocket filled with cheese...extremely salty and again industrial finished product... ..the inside was more cooked than grilled.....my complaint was responded to with disbelief......I received at least 8 euros discount......really......Never again!!!

Price-performance is definitely very good. The service is always friendly and quick. Inside it is clean and clear. The outside terrace was beautifully restored after the bus accident, although it was a bit noisy due to Schwalbacher Straße passing by. Otherwise, a visit to Mauritius is recommended.

A very varied selection, the food came quickly and was very tasty. The owner of the restaurant is a super friendly and accommodating person. The employees were also very friendly. I celebrated our birthday there with my mother. It was beautifully decorated for us and an extra area was reserved just for us. The price-performance ratio is definitely right there! We would have expected a completely different price for 16 people and were totally surprised to find it was far lower. Thank you again! We will definitely visit your restaurant again.

Very outdated restaurant with very small portions and just acceptable quality. Not beautifully presented, the taste is below average and no idea about the drinks that are served Nothing great, just an appetizer is enough to fill you up.

The food is 👌 🆗️, but the landlady refuses to give a receipt. She tries to hand over a manually created piece of paper. This happened to me both on site and when ordering online. That's strange, I can be employed by the tax authorities.

Pleasant atmosphere. Service was also very nice, we were there with the Schlemmerblock and everything went well. There was also a small starter salad on the house. Only when it comes to vegetarian dishes is the selection a bit thin, there are small dishes and starters, the main courses are all made with meat. But my companion's vegetarian plate looked absolutely great.

Top Essen, sehr freundliche und schnelle Bedienung! Besser geht fast gar nicht.

Aufgrund der guten Rezessionen, mit meinem Partner zum Geburtstag dort essen gegangen. Mein bestelltes Rasnici glich einem Kinderteller. Wenig Reis und wenig Pommes. Das Fleisch, 2 übliche Spieße, war fettig und knorplig.. Ich behaupte mal von mindener Qualität. Der Service war hektisch und wenig freundlich, da das Lokal sehr voll war. Wegen Beschwerde, über das schlechte Fleisch, 5 Euro Nachlass bekommen. Ich kann das Lokal nicht empfehlen.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Atmosphäre sehr angenehm. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und kompetent. Top 👍

Nach langer Zeit zweimal in kurzer Zeit wieder dort gewesen. Essen ist super, Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Mussten beim letzten Mal, auf Grund einer privaten Feier, früher gehen und haben es uns auf der Terrasse gemütlich gemacht. War ein gelungener Abend und wir freuen uns auf das nächste Mal.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Da viel los war an dem Tag, sind die Bedingungen ordentlich gerannt. Wir haben für unsere Tochter einen kleinen Teller gewünscht und bekamen einen grossen ebenso mit der Gabel. Gut, das war für uns auch in Ordnung. Darum statt 5 Punkte einen Punkt Abzug. Aber man muss sagen wir kämen wieder.

A friend heard about this place, so we tried it out. We were the only Americans in this evening, the staff understood English and they had English menus. All of our food was good, as was the beer and the red wine! There's a parking area next to the restaurant. We definitely recommend this place!

Wir waren zum Mittagessen im Mauritius und waren auf das Angenehmste überrascht: Das Essen war frisch, lecker und reichlich. Es wurde als Vorspeise eine Suppe auf's Haus serviert und hinterher gab's einen Schnaps. Sowohl die Kellnerin als auch die Chefin waren äußerst nett und es war bestimmt nicht unser letzter Besuch in diesem empfehlenswerten Restaurant!

Es wurde zuvor ein kleiner Salat (vorwiegend Krautsalat) gereicht. Der vegetarische Teller bestand aus einer unnötig großen und leider nur lauwarmen Portion Pommes in Stäbchen- und Chipsformat, frittierten Chamignons, konfektioniertem frittiertem Fetastück, gegrilltem Paprika- und Zucchinischeiben sowie einem Mayo-Dipp samt einer Garnitur aus Salatblatt und Orangen- und Zitronenspalte Es wirkte auf uns insgesammt wie "Vegetarisch aus der Not geboren". Schade eigentlich; gibt es doch sooo viele Ideen wie man gesund! und raffiniert gewürzt vegetarische Gerichte zaubern kann. Man müsste sich nur mal mit der Thematik beschäftigen.

Das Restaurant Mauritius war uns bereits bestens bekannt. Aufgrund des Lockdowns haben wir den Lieferservice ausprobiert. Das Handling war sehr umsichtig und professionell. Die Lieferzeit war kürzer als erwartet, wir wurden sogar zurückgerufen und gefragt, ob wir die Lieferung früher haben wollten. Der kundenfreundliche Service ist hier sehr gut möglich, weil das Restaurant seinen eigenen Lieferservice hat. Wir hatten uns die Grillplatte für zwei Personen für 33 € ausgesucht und waren von dem ausgezeichneten Geschmack und der überwältigenden Menge sehr beeindruckt.

Gute jugoslawische Küche. Wir waren schon 2 mal dort und das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service war sehr freundlich. Eine Tisch Reservierung ist notwendig da das Restaurant gut besucht ist.

Wir waren seit einigen Jahren hier nicht mehr essen um so überraschter waren wir nach unserem letzten spontanen Besuch. Restaurant voll besetzt und wir hatten Glück noch einen Tisch zu bekommen . Super netter Service, super leckeres kroatisches Essen, grosse Portion, hier muss niemand hungrig nach Hause. Preis-Leistung top. Kann die negative Kritik nicht nachvollziehen. Ich kann das Restaurant nur empfehlen.
