Restaurant Marjan Grill - Berlin in Berlin

We were there again today (October 27th, 2024) and it was as always - simply great. We were lucky and got a table for two people without a reservation. This time in the “next room”. It can be a bit louder than in the front of the main room. But that's not a problem at all. Everyone is friendly, even warm. The food is great, the salad is always fresh and absolutely delicious. Today we had the fillet toast and Czikosch - we can only recommend all of them. We always feel very comfortable here. Many thanks to the entire team.

We were there with six people, had reserved in advance and got a nice place. I've had good food from Croatia so far, but not here. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Taking the order was also relatively quick. The selection of starters was manageable, the goulash soup was at least half from a can, the salami tended to be from discounters. We had game plates, pasta and grilled plates...game and pasta were still ok, but the grilled plates, which are supposed to be typically Croatian, were quite disappointing. Frozen vegetables, carelessly overcooked rice, a few fries that were soggy due to the sauce, the cevapchichi from some ready-made package, the pork dry, the skewer so tough that small steaks, although well grilled, but probably from the frozen food, because very muddy. Everything was seasoned well, but the quality was a disaster. If you look at it all, you don't need a chef, just someone to heat up the food. Without the charcoal grill, it would have passed for canteen food. The service stopped after the food was there, i.e. drinks or dessert were no longer requested, and no one was really interested in whether it was tasty, so you can't say anything about that. The dessert was just like the grill plate, everything was quick, without having any idea how good a pancake can taste...

Absolutely delicious food, some of the best cooked meat I have ever had. Staff friendly and attentive and the price for what you get is excellent. Would recommend this place to anyone staying in Berlin.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the service is very friendly. The food is in great need of improvement and the menu is far too large. A mistake that many restaurants make. Given the variety of dishes, using frozen food is almost a requirement. Sometimes less is more. My gypsy plate (yes, it's actually still called that there) consisted of a pork skewer, a currywurst (!?), fries and rice. The skewer was good, the currywurst without color was briefly heated in the deep fryer. The butter beans my companion ordered came when the schnitzel was almost eaten. The beans were also frozen and sprinkled with fondor and not warm either. The sauce for the paprika schnitzel still contained lumps of undissolved spices, the croquettes (ordered separately because you can hardly get them anywhere else) may have seen the deep fryer once. But I don't think it was that evening. Not at all crispy as you would expect, they were flabby and tasted more floury than potatoes. Plus they weren't warm either. It's a shame, even nice service can't make up for it. We won't be visiting this restaurant again

We come to the Marjan Grill to eat once a year and like every time, we were absolutely satisfied again today. Very friendly service, super tasty platter for two and the fries also impressed the children. We are already looking forward to next year!

Very modern restaurant. You feel very comfortable. And then also in a light rail arch. The food was great and the service was very friendly. Any time. The only downside is that it is located in a parking management zone.

This restaurant has a S-Bahn feeling, after all it is located in the S-Bahn arch. In any case, you can find the best Ćevapčići in Berlin here. The rest of the food is also first class.

The restaurant makes a good first impression. We were seated comfortably and the acoustics weren't too loud, even though all the seats were occupied (reservations are recommended). We were served quickly. Due to the abundance, we were unfortunately not asked for any additional drinks. Our meat was amazing and highly recommended. I would stay away from the vegetables a bit.

We ate here again on September 11th, 2021 after what felt like an eternity (5 years). The food was delicious and moderately priced, and the service was friendly. The new ambience is a success. We have known this restaurant since 1988 and the quality is always consistently good. We'll be back but not for another 5 years.

Discovered by chance under the arches of the Bellevue S-Bahn station, went in and came out thrilled. Very attentive and friendly staff, quick and clearly freshly prepared Croatian food that tasted delicious. I had the liver from the grill, which was a delight because it was grilled to perfection. Plus fried onions and fresh, crispy fries. I will remember this restaurant for my next visit to Berlin!

Very tasteful Croatian food with free Kruschkovac.

Yesterday there were 5 of us at Marjan with a toddler. We were warmly welcomed and were able to get a table without a reservation. The atmosphere in the restaurant is super nice. The S-Bahn runs above it, which doesn't bother you at all but rather adds some Berlin charm. The owners are very friendly. Our order was taken quickly and the food came quickly. The food is absolutely recommended. We all had different dishes and all of us were more than satisfied. The dishes were all delicious, beautifully presented and the side salad was also super fresh. We can only recommend Marjan.

Consistent quality for DECADES, but the most important thing is the family character

Food is great and tastes good. Portions plentiful. When the weather is good, I recommend the outdoor terrace. Service was friendly and quick despite the seats being full. Prices moderate. Always happy.

Beautiful, modern, air-conditioned Croatian restaurant, with comfortable benches and armchairs, in the Bellevue S-Bahn arches. Meat was good, fries a bit hard. Salad only with vinegar and boring. Very expensive.

Best Croatian restaurant in Berlin so far, unfortunately the prices have risen sharply and some of the staff have been replaced in the last few months. The food still tastes good. As regular customers, I and my friends are of the opinion that the portions have become smaller. All in all: ambience, service, taste very good. Prices overpriced due to the adjusted, clear portions. We come to this restaurant a little less often.

After the meat quality of the cevapcici had completely deteriorated, we had raznjici yesterday and were totally disappointed not to enjoy this meat either, just a lot of low-quality pork with fat and fat. Unfortunately we can no longer recommend the Marjan Grill.

A very nice restaurant with a beer garden. Fair prices and very good cuisine, especially if you like meat. But there is also a lot to choose from for vegetarians. The meat was perfectly grilled, tender and number 101, the Marjan plate is an experience for all senses with the burning onion. If we are in Berlin again we would like to come by again.

Eating here is truly a pleasure - especially for anyone who enjoys grilled meat. There are very tasty Croatian specialties. The side salad and especially the always fresh and crispy fries also taste great. There is plenty of space in the restaurant in 3 large rooms in the S-Bahn arches under the Bellevue S-Bahn station. Children are welcome. In summer you can sit outside under umbrellas or in the shade of tall trees. Good food, cold beer, friendly service - what more could you want? Vegetarians get less of their money's worth. For everyone else: HIGHLY recommended! Be careful, the portions are very generous - perhaps it's better to order a "small" dish that will fill you up well. At the end there is a Slivovitz “on the house”, delicious 😋. The Marjan grill is really recommended.

A huuuge portion of chicken for 14.50 euro. Food fresh and rice was buttery delicious. This particular meal is very simple, but I miss this kind of food as it reminds me of home. Good menu choice too, all sort of dishes. The place is quite big. Waiters wear proper restaurant clothes which is nice to see sometimes

The restaurant and the food are quite ok in and of themselves… Unfortunately, we had an unfriendly and completely incompetent waiter (with a bald head and a tattoo on his forearm) ... who completely spoiled our evening with a farewell dinner We ordered a grill plate for several people and something for the children. We had to wait almost 45 minutes for the food...so we asked (or tried) if we could get the kids' food earlier. We were all completely ignored… several times!!! Afterwards he was so bad and in a bad mood….and threw our plates on the table…. Finally we ordered dessert… waited another 30 minutes… Only to find out the order was never placed!!! We didn't get an apology or any other explanation from the waiter... Never again... even though we paid more than €250 Definitely in the wrong job…..and shouldn’t be working with people..

A restaurant of Croatian origin in the center of Berlin. Parking in front is chargeable, the restaurant is crowded (reservations must be made in advance) and the waiters, few in number, cannot cope. Sometimes the dishes are fresh, but I had the opportunity to taste frozen potatoes, tough meat or tomato sauce, tasteless. In the summer, there is a "corner" outside where you can enjoy a coffee. Many dishes are specific to the Balkan area, but there are many aspects that spoil the image of the place.

Extremely long waiting time before you were even served. The staff simply completely ignored us and other guests. We had to approach you several times to finally get served. Food wasn't bad, but definitely not worth the time this visit cost us.

Very modern, newly designed restaurant with highly motivated employees who have an eye for service! Very nice, quick and accommodating! Food always hot, large portions and very tasty! We have been here several times and have never been disappointed! Absolute insider tip, as the quality is not immediately apparent from the outside. There are 3 guest rooms and a beautiful city summer garden. Great for celebrating and good train connections. Afterwards you can enjoy a nice walk along the Spree. We love Marjan Grill and the great staff and can recommend it 100%.

One of the first days for outdoor dining was used straight away! Spontaneously got a table in the beer garden. Everything went very quickly, the staff was very friendly and the food was delicious!

Everything was at a high level. The staff paid attention to every detail. Owner-managed and therefore very good service; quick fulfillment of the order. Good quality of food (usually heavy on meat with fries or rice, always accompanied by a tasty salad).

Hurray, hurray, it was so wonderful! The plate wasn't small, but it was nice, that's how it should be! The waiter has a good style, there's no boredom here! There is some brush hanging from the ceiling, but don't worry, it won't fall off! But you often get a little fright because -BBBRRRUUUMMM- the S-Bahn goes over the roof!

Highly Recommended. There is plenty of food. Quality is satisfactory. Cevapcici and Pljeskavica are good and juicy. The remaining meat is rather tough but tastes good.

Typical Balkan (Croatian) restaurant just below the S-bahn station "Bellevue". The restaurant is very popular, reservation is recommended. Good hearty Croatian food, which is particularly famous for the grilled meat. They also serve some Hungarian dishes. We take large plate of various grilled meat. Was really good ! Service was also not bad. Ambience simple, but cozy and pleasant. They offer also typical Balkan spirits, slivovica, palinka, rakia.... Highly recommended if you are a meat lover.

I haven't eaten a better Balkan grill plate in the past 20 years! (Majan Grill Paltte, flambéed) The portion is huge, it was enough for two people. Dessert, pancakes with vanilla ice cream, excellent. 100% recommendation.

Guys, this was a disaster. The food is like 1990. The quality does not exist. There are more spices in the hospital. It's sad, because we blew almost 200 euros.
