Great food with authentic flavors and very fresh ingredients. The dishes are well prepared, tasty, and served in generous portions. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and attentive. A really enjoyable place that I would gladly visit again.

The waitress was terrible; you simply get forgotten. This isn't the first time it's happened. Or customers who arrived after you are served first. You're simply forgotten even when it's not busy. There's zero organization among the waitresses.

Waiters should write down everything when taking orders. It can't be right that someone waits 40 minutes and then half their order is missing.

I ate kokoreç for the first time here and I loved it + the mussels are just as good as in Türkiye.

We always enjoy going to Mardin. The food is delicious. We really like the Turkish cuisine here. The salads and the Adana kebab are especially tasty. The atmosphere is lovely. The large mixed platter with cold appetizers is highly recommended and absolutely delicious. The falafel platter and the Mardin Karisik platter are also very tasty. You absolutely must try the Ali Nazik as well – it's delicious.

Last night I was there with my family. I ordered tripe soup, and they served kokoreç (lamb intestines). It was the most tasteless soup I've ever had in my life, and I tried some kokoreç too; it tasted terrible. If you want to upset your stomach, Mardin restaurant is number one.

The food is delicious and the portions are large. If you're looking for a satisfying meal, it's an excellent place. The only downside is that the seating areas aren't very well organized and the table arrangement isn't architecturally appealing.

That was the first and last time we ate here. Initially, there were four of us in the restaurant, but everyone received their food in pairs of three while I had to watch them wait. My drink didn't even arrive in 10-15 minutes. The food (Pirzola plate) was burnt and didn't even taste good. The other group's food (Kokorec) smelled so disgusting that we couldn't even finish it. A very simple request to the owner: please train your staff properly. Food should always arrive together, not with someone having to watch. To the kitchen: prepare the food better so it doesn't smell and people can actually finish it. Thank you.

The service was very quick and friendly; even though we hadn't made a reservation, we were able to get a table immediately on Friday evening. As a complimentary appetizer, they served us a very large and delicious salad, pickled peppers, and flatbread. Künefe, grilled meats, lentil soup... everything was absolutely delicious. We went to eat just because it was a Mardin restaurant. The waiter was not polite or kind at all. Never again.

Let me say one thing upfront: this won't be our last visit to this restaurant. Our team had an early Christmas dinner here, and without exception, every single one of us was thrilled with the food and the service. In our opinion, it doesn't get much more authentically Turkish than this. Each of us was offered tea upon seating, and it was brought to us again and again throughout the meal without us even having to ask (if we wanted it). Without even ordering, we received two huge salad platters and bread as appetizers. Absolutely delicious. And the dishes we ordered were, on the whole, incredibly tasty. The only slight drawback was that the "roasting" aspect was taken a bit too literally. There were some very charred bits, even on the meat. And the ambiance could be a little more inviting. But otherwise, everything was absolutely fantastic. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful and successful evening.

Whenever we come to Berlin, we plan an evening at Mardin. The food is usually very, very delicious. This time was also delicious, except the ciger arrived completely raw! Naturally, we didn't eat any of it and told them so. The waiter was fair and removed the ciger from the bill when we asked. At these prices, that shouldn't happen! One point deducted for that. The service was, as always, friendly and attentive. The restrooms are unclean and disgusting; another point deducted for that.

I had a great experience at this Turkish grill restaurant. The service was good and very fast, and the portions were impressively large, which made the meal very satisfying. The food was flavorful, fresh, and well prepared. One small suggestion would be to reorganize the menu layout. The first item shown is the most expensive one, and for someone visiting for the first time, seeing that price at the top might give the wrong initial impression. That said, the quality, quantity, and overall experience fully justify the cost. I enjoyed the meal a lot, ate generously, and left very happy. I would gladly return to try more dishes.

Terrible! I do not recommend it at all... we asked for one kokoreç and two head pachas, the waiter brought us two, the man brought us two kokoreçs and two lamb heads. We told the man that the order was wrong, we wanted head pachas, he said I had ordered it once, I can't take it again, it would go to waste, and he refused to take it, and he insisted on justifying himself and insisting that he was right, he was absolutely not even willing to make a deal. The problem wasn't the money, but the waiter's disgusting attitude and arrogant attitude. We realized that it wasn't going to happen, my friend and I took a bite of the kokoreç and left everything. I say it again, it's a terrible place, I never, ever recommend it, don't go

The treatment and presentation are truly beyond disgrace. The food is merely the pictures on the menu. Hygiene and cleanliness are practically non-existent. Above all, one must know how to interact with and speak to customers. Especially the waiters who serve.

The food is good but it should be less expensive for what it is. Also they should offer free refill of tea 😉

We came from Hamburg just to have şırdan mumbar and a bite to eat, but we arrived at 23:30 and there were no mussels, the waiter was sullen and didn't care, and the rice with the şırdan was very hard and stale, I was very disappointed and regretful. I don't recommend it to anyone and THERE WAS METAL INSIDE THE şırdan.

Don't ever come here for the sırdan. There are a thousand witnesses to the sırdan. I've never seen anything like it in my life; even calling it "bad" isn't enough; it's so bad it can't even be described! The staff is sullen and disrespectful.

I ate at this restaurant yesterday and unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. The food was undercooked and some of it was raw, which was truly unappealing. The service seemed uninterested and unfriendly. For the price, I would have expected significantly higher quality. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it – I certainly won't be coming back.

The atmosphere is not so cosy. I found it cold. The service, one of the best. Meals could be better for such an expensive restaurant. I paid 25 for a kebab and was so much bread and only a skewer with hard lamb. Chicken skewer one of the best. Falafel medium. For what they offers is really expensive. I don’t recommend.

The waiter defended himself by saying that he had to sell the last pilaf of the night. A very funny dialogue took place and he said that this is normal in gastronomy, but he doesn't know that I am a chef and I know what is what, no matter what, it should be said that it is not there rather than giving a spoiled dish. The food is bad, there is nothing to complain about the service anyway, it is a restaurant that has nothing to do with Mardin.

Friendly staff, speaking German and Turkish. We received good service. The food was delicious, and the starters were plentiful. You definitely need to make a reservation, as it's always full. They let you take leftovers home. I would eat there again.

I went to the Mardin restaurant and had the Adana Kebab – simply perfect! 🔥 The meat was super juicy, fresh off the grill, and really well seasoned – just as it should be. The side dishes were also top-notch: fresh bread, delicious sauces, and a crisp salad. The service was friendly and attentive, the food came quickly, and everything was clean and inviting. The ambiance was very nice, but the food was average for the price. The salad and bread for starters were very tasty, but the Adana was too salty, and the chicken skewer was too cold. It might have been because it was busy, but that shouldn't happen in a restaurant like this. The wait time was okay. Service was friendly and quick.

The Mardin restaurant not only bears the city's name, but also much of its spirit. Anyone who has ever been to Mardin knows how colorful and diverse its people and cultures are, and this feeling comes across precisely here through the cuisine. The dishes are lovingly prepared, full of flavor and heart. You immediately notice that real skill and a great deal of passion go into this. The ambiance also impressed me. Many small details in the decor are reminiscent of Mardin's culture and create an atmosphere where you feel at home. One thing did stand out to me, though: In the entire hour I was there, I didn't hear any Kurdish music. I missed voices like Ahmet Kaya, Meryem Xan, Feqiyê Teyran, or Ayşe Şan. That's not a criticism; Turkish music is beautiful too. But these sounds in particular would have made the atmosphere even more authentic for me, the kind you'd experience if you've ever been to Mardin yourself. All in all, it's a really nice place that I'd happily recommend, with delicious specialties, lots of warmth, and a touch of Mardin right in the middle of Berlin.

The food was the worst I've ever eaten. The food was simply cold. The rice stank. It only gets one star because the salad was good. Otherwise, I definitely wouldn't recommend going there.

A place I came on recommendation. I ordered Adana and ali nazik. Adana had too much cartilage so I couldn't focus on the taste of the meat. Ali nazik's yoghurt was too runny and the aubergine was almost non-existent. Considering the prices, unfortunately this place failed. I definitely do not plan to come again.

Expensive and service is ice cold. Waiters treat you like a nuisance. Not a friendly place. Food is just regular run of the mill Turkish with a big price tag.

From raw meatballs to lahmacun, from meat to liver, from tea to ayran, delicious and friendly service, the portions are quite big and filling, thank you.

You can enjoy good Turkish food here, and more than just kebabs. Reservations are recommended, as the restaurant gets busy. The outdoor area is located right on Kottbusser Damm, so you have to like that kind of thing. The food is authentic Turkish and reasonably priced.

The salad wasn't fresh, kunefe was like having fried cheese, the shredded wheat was undercooked, and the prices weren't worth the food we ate. I wouldn't recommend it. I won't go again. It's just unattractive.

The food is not good. I am Turkish and I know the Turkish cuisine very well. I hadAdana Kebap and my father Mardin Kebap. The meat was very hard and dry. Not juicy. The salad was the best: gavirdagi Prices are very high but value low.

I just bought 10 lahmacun for €2 each to take away. When I got home and unpacked, I found burnt lahmacun and garbage as a salad. I no longer trust this place, and I won't recommend it again. I actually enjoyed eating there occasionally with friends. But now it's over.

The staff are very nice and friendly. The food was reasonably good and not so good. The mumbar and sac tava were good, but the kokorec wasn't that good; the bread and kokorec were overcooked and burnt. So, I didn't think the price-performance ratio was good. Otherwise, you can find many different types of kebabs.

Relatively expensive for Turkish food

It's even more delicious than the mussels at Çeşme, and the staff is very friendly. The last time I ate sandy mussels was 8 years ago in Istanbul, and I was disgusted, but I've made peace with mussels again. ☺️ I highly recommend it.

It was the worst experience I've had in Berlin. We waited a long time for our food. The lahmacun was so hard it cut our mouths. The prices were also way over the top.

If you pay by card, be aware that you MUST tip at least five percent. We were not pleased at all.

Shut up—this is the best food I’ve had in a long time! Not that I’m a stranger to this cuisine, but it brought back a taste my tongue hadn’t remembered in ages. We kicked things off with a warm bowl of lentil soup—probably the healthiest way to start any meal (seriously, do your body a favor!). Then came a mixed plate of kebabs, two types of meze (Turkish starters), and lahmacun served with fresh greens and lemon. Unfortunately, the lahmacun didn’t quite hit the mark—it lacked the authentic flavor, so we ended up skipping it altogether.

I can only recommend it. Great restaurant. The owner recommended minced meat with cheese and pistachios, which was incredibly delicious. He was also very friendly and approachable, personally taking care of the reception and seating. The service was very friendly. We were beyond full, thank you for everything. We'll be happy to come back if we're in the area. I look forward to seeing you again and enjoying the friendly hospitality and delicious food. Until then, all the best and greetings from Tyrol.

Yes oriental food and delicious

We were in Berlin for a three-day trip and chose this place for dinner. The mussels, çiğ köfte, appetizers, salad, meat, and kunefe were all delicious. I'd say it was even better than most restaurants of this style in Turkey. The liver was a bit tough, though. Our family was very pleased.

Unnecessarily expensive. The staff is unresponsive. Second, our order never arrived. The lahmacun was especially hard. My palate still hurts. I will never eat here again.

We went to Mardin in Kreuzberg – the place is cozy, the atmosphere pleasant, and the staff very friendly. We had made a reservation in advance, which was definitely a good idea, as it was quite busy. The ocakbaşı concept appealed to us, and the portions were generous – you definitely go home full. Overall, it was a nice evening, and the restaurant makes a good impression. However, I would have expected a bit more flavorful meat. For the price, some more tender, better-seasoned meat would have been nice. Nevertheless, Mardin is a solid choice for a pleasant evening with friends – and making a reservation is a safe bet.

We pretended not to hear the waiter who couldn't get a tip and cursed at us behind our backs, so as not to cause a scene. It's a worthless place, think twice, let alone eat, they don't even ask for the address.

The meat was not fully cooked, the chef should have been more careful about this situation, the mussels were not good, I was expecting better, as mentioned, it is not a good place, on the contrary, it is bad.

There were two of us and we had, among other things, two different meat dishes for our main courses. Some of them were still raw inside. The waiter then courteously took the dishes back without any ifs or buts. After a while, the food came back "reheated," only to find that it was still partly raw. We then returned it. The waiter apologized again and asked for the dish to be re-plated or for dessert. Well, the result was stomach pain and diarrhea.

The "Vali Platter" was super delicious; it was enough for the three of us. The service was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was also great...

I really loved the cuisine here and had enjoyed the food once and wanted to get back with a friend. As it was after a concert, I carried my cello with me and put it in a tight space between the outside tables and the wall, where it would have been safe without disturbing people‘s transit. Nontheless, a waiter grabbed it, trying to move it WITHOUT MY PERMISSION for FOR NO APPEARENT or LOGICAL REASON. As the restaurant was empty and there was very few people he could have passed definitely in another space. I got terribly upset and told him to stop immediately, but he continued, till I stopped him physically. Musician colleagues, NEVER GO THERE with your bigger instruments, as you will be treated as a second or third class person. I immediately left the place on the go as I didn’t feel safe anymore.

It's an expensive restaurant by Kreuzberg and Hermanplatz standards, with only 1 euro difference between a half portion of kokareç and a full portion. I don't think it lives up to its name. I went to a restaurant in Berlin thinking I could find good mussels, but unfortunately it wasn't good, or even bad.

My experience refers to my visit on June 6, 2025, between 8:00 PM and 8:45 PM. Two people. No reservation. We were shown to our table quickly. They gave us enough time (neither too little nor too much) to consider our choice and place our order. There isn't a very large selection (check out their website), and the dishes are expensive compared to other Turkish restaurants (sometimes €2-3 per dish on average). The food itself was very fresh and enjoyable. We ordered 3 Lahmacun, 1 Mardin Kebab, and 1 Mardin Kebab Special Kuzu (lamb). We were also offered free tea after our meal. What disappointed us: We had specially ordered iced tea*, which is not from the C*C* Cola Company, as we (and many other customers) boycott this brand! *The menu says ICE TEA ELEPHANT BAY, but we were served Fu*e Tea. I then asked the waiter why the menu says ICE TEA ELEPHANT BAY and not Fu*e Tea. According to the employee, the selection was subsequently changed, but not on the menu. I had previously called the restaurant to ask if there was a prayer room or at least a small corner where one could pray. Unfortunately, there isn't. It would be a nice gesture from the owner if even just one place could be reserved. You'd be happy to stay longer without being under time pressure. We chose this restaurant because it's one of the few with good reviews that also doesn't sell alcohol. Otherwise, the price is unfortunately a bit overpriced. I would probably go back if I couldn't find an alternative to Mardin Restaurant.

Today we had şırdan, Midye and Beyti. Şırdan and Midye were good but Beyti's lavash was not very good. It was a bit doughy.

One of the rare places in Berlin that does kebabs and meze justice! Everything is fresh, the flavors are incredibly balanced. Especially Paşa Platte is like a feast. The service is fast, the staff is smiling and very attentive. The ambiance of the place is also very warm and authentic. I recommend it to everyone who loves Mardin cuisine. Everyone who comes here comes again and again, because the taste really makes a difference! 🌟

While coming from Switzerland to Berlin, we trusted a friend’s suggestion and came to Mardin Soza. As soon as we entered the door, we could say that we experienced a real hometown atmosphere with the attention and care of the staff, the wonderful food, the ambiance and music. In addition, the extra attention of our dear friend Özgür Ölmez made us even happier. It is definitely a place I can recommend to people who will come to Berlin…

We ate there today and tried Şırdan and Mumbar for the first time – they tasted truly excellent! Unfortunately, our positive impression was severely dampened by several things. First, the food didn't arrive at the same time: I got my dish, and my girlfriend had to wait a full 20 minutes longer – that's unacceptable, especially in a restaurant. As if that wasn't unpleasant enough, the employee was very rude and unpleasant. After we left, we heard him say behind our backs that we had "tipped so little." We asked him about it, and he said it was just a misunderstanding – obviously because he didn't expect us to hear him. The food was really good, but due to the disrespectful behavior and poor service, we won't be coming back again.

The best Turkish/Kurdish food I've ever had in Germany. If I lived in Berlin, I'd go there at least twice a week.
