Restaurant Kupferle in Ravensburg

We used to like going there. According to Google, this restaurant is open until 11 pm. The restaurant was open, I just wanted to get a voucher. Even that's not possible. How about locking the doors?

It was delicious! 5 stars for that. Very expensive, 1 star for that.

Excellent cuisine! Advance reservations are recommended, as the restaurant is rather small, which only adds to its cozy atmosphere. The prices are fair, and the staff impresses with genuine warmth and attentive service. A visit that is thoroughly enjoyable and definitely makes you want to return.

I've always had a great meal there, and the staff is very friendly. They have a changing weekly menu, which always offers a great selection.

The service was very unfriendly. The glasses of the previous guests weren't cleared away. Coffee and drinks were placed on the table, but the glasses and the full ashtray weren't taken away. The staff was very rude. Only three tables were occupied; the restaurant was empty inside. I cleared everything and placed it on the shelf to the left of the door. I can't recommend this restaurant. Perhaps the waitress should take a page out of the book of the Italian restaurant next door.

We've been going to Kupferle for years; delicious food, great drinks, wonderful and attentive staff, good prices. Keep it up!

A somewhat rustic ambiance with excellent regional Swabian cuisine. It was very tasty. We went back the next day.

We were there for dinner today. Schnitzel with fried potatoes, melted Maultaschen (raw ravioli), and a small salad as a starter. The salad was very nice with potatoes, cabbage, celery, and cucumbers. And the green salad was simply fantastic. The fried potatoes were excellently cooked, and the schnitzel was also perfect. I don't know if they were homemade, but the taste was fantastic. Everything was perfect.

Cheese spaetzle, Moroccan rice pan and Dinnetbäckerei "der Allgäuer" very very tasty!!

The two female waitresses were rude, and when I confronted them, she rolled her eyes and walked away... We left the Kupferle without eating. The staff at your place is really getting worse and worse – what a shame. You really don't feel comfortable there. I won't recommend the Kupferle anymore.

The waiters paid little attention to the guests. Plates were also slammed onto the tables. In general, the staff did not demonstrate a friendly, welcoming demeanor. For us, this was an experience we will not repeat.

Absolutely satisfied! The Swabian Sreierlei is absolutely delicious. The service is prompt and friendly. I'd love to go back!

Service isn't a priority here 🥺 You have to make yourself noticed, otherwise no one will come by... and the waiters pace up and down with one or two glasses...

Here you can get really good schnitzel with fried potatoes, highly recommended

From arrival to receiving the menu: 15 minutes. From ordering to receiving the food: from 45 minutes. One order was delivered incorrectly, the other was forgotten. After 1.5 hours, we still hadn't received everything from the first order. The food itself was okay. The medium steak was a bit too well done, the children's portion (Saiten) consisted of two half slices of bread and two Vienna sausages from a jar (for €7.80!!!)

This was my second visit, but there probably won't be a third. The menu offers nothing new and isn't extensive enough to provide enough variety. I ordered the Swabian three-course meal, and the cabbage fritter was completely charred on the bottom. They probably thought with enough sauce, it wouldn't be noticeable. Plot twist... you do notice. 🫣

Great ambience invites you to linger and observe. Prices justified for the size of the portion Had a sausage salad with bread one that tasted delicious. Toilets are clean but can only be reached via stairs. Staff a bit slow when you want to pay.

It's probably hard to find worse service in Ravensburg.

If you want to watch the service staff have private conversations for ten minutes, you've come to the right place. We left after 15 minutes of complete ignoring. Do your job right ☝🏻

Very friendly staff. I only had a hot chocolate to refresh myself after a trip there. But I'll be back. It's worth a trip. The toilets are also very clean. You feel welcome as a guest. Keep it up. Thumbs up👍

We ordered food here; we all had roast beef with onions—a regional specialty. There was really nothing to complain about with the food, and the side salad was okay, too. Nevertheless, it didn't completely blow me away, and unfortunately, the food leaked a bit on the way home because it wasn't properly packaged.

Very nice outdoor dining in summer. The tables inside are cramped. This makes it very loud.

Great onion roast and good value for money

I would travel to Ravensburg just for the Swabian Dreiereichen. Super delicious food, a great aperitif and a perfect espresso. In addition, very nice and fast service and a cozy atmosphere. All in all, a wonderful visit - we'd love to come back!

Unfortunately the schnitzel was not cooked through and was completely pink. Since it is pork, there is a risk of food poisoning. Staff was very nice despite that.

Food is great, but you could remove the many cobwebs in the corners.

We visited the restaurant for the first time today and were looking forward to a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, the service was anything but satisfactory. Right from the start we had to wait a long time before the waitress even noticed us, even though it wasn't particularly full. We repeated the order (a double espresso and a small cappuccino) several times because the waitress seemed distracted and focused on conversations with other guests. After another wait of about ten minutes, the order was brought to us. Paying was also a problem: Despite repeated requests, the payment process was constantly delayed. In the end we had to raise our voices to get any attention, whereupon the waitress reacted rudely and refused to charge us. Such a situation is unacceptable for guests. We understand that it is difficult to find good staff these days, but such behavior turns off customers. We hope that management takes the criticism seriously and takes appropriate measures to improve the service.

The food is of good quality. Regional, plentiful and visually successful on the plate. Particularly recommended are the sour kidneys with spaetzle and strings, as well as the trio with cabbage wrap, cheese spaetzle and Maultaschen. Very friendly, quick service, which deserves only unreserved praise because of its large field of activity.

The food was absolutely delicious. We came for comfort food, we got what we came for. The spätzle with beef and sauerkrauft was perfectly done and the peppercorn sauce was a winner. The caramelized onions however was too much and overpowering the rest. The lentils were good but a bit dry. The potatoes served with the salad was the second best thing we had at the table. The waitress asked each of us for a tip but didn’t ask the other tables.

Quantity instead of class Nice location in Ravensburg's old town, nice outdoor seating. The food, however, was a little better in the canteen, nothing more. Salad with finger schnitzel was very green, including coleslaw with a spoonful of potato salad, no other variant, no decoration. Other dishes just as unappealing. In the building, returned dishes were piled up on a table and the toilet needed cleaning.

Clean, very friendly and well centrally located. The food is as Swabian as it can be and highly recommended. The order was quickly at the table and there were only happy faces. Gladly again

An excellent choice for eating well with simplicity. We relied on too little experience of German cuisine to hope not to make mistakes and we emerged unscathed but not winners. The sauerkraut roll with vegetable pie and fresh pasta with cheese was a successful, particular and truly appetizing dish, while the Viennese with potato salad left few short-term memories. The only desserts available were crepes, good but not very relevant. The beer is delicious and the native whiskey from the Lake Constance area is superlative, a breath of surprises and innovative quality. Fair prices. Friendly, young service with good English.

Great location, outside next to the fountain - beautifully located. The food is rather average - cheese pätzle not homemade, cream sauce bland, cream schnitzel too dry, fried potatoes bland. Cabbage wraps and salad are great.

The food is traditional German specifically the Swabian region. The service is normal for a German restaurant. It can get very busy so be prepared to wait sometimes. I have never had a bad meal or bad experience here. The location on the Marienplatz makes for a relaxing outdoor dining experience. This is a go to place when I am visiting Ravensburg.

I ate a schnitzel with potato salad. Unfortunately the potato salad was unseasoned. The schnitzel was almost as thin as a sheet of paper and was dripping with fat. It's a shame... not that cheap :/ Service and atmosphere are very pleasant.

The salad is bland and without dressing. Price-performance doesn't fit here. The sausage in Wurstsalat is not from the butcher, but rather from the wholesale market. Only the Aperol was delicious!

Pfingstmontag = Stadtfest. Es brodelte in der Innenstadt. Was für ein Glücksfall noch einen freien Tisch, unter einem Sonnenschirm, neben dem plätschernden Brunnen, zu erwischen. Die Weinschorle war sehr erfrischend und die geschmälzten Maultaschen mit Salat waren eine Freude. Zum Abschluß noch ein Expresso, wir sind rundum zufrieden, denn auch der Service gab sein bestes.

The Kupferle is an institution in Ravensburg, located in a prime location on Marienplatz. Despite the burning sun and the full terrace, the two service employees maintained control of the situation. Both were friendly and competent. All three dishes we ordered were attractively presented and tasty. The classics of Swabian cuisine are simply unsurpassed.

Nice little restaurant in the heart of the city of Ravensburg, super nice and attentive staff, food can be recommended, large portions. The beer garden is beautifully located on the square and is great to use in summer. Ambience cozy and pleasant. Reservation of seats inside is advantageous.

There were four of us eating here...we were very happy with the food. Everything tasted very tasty. Regardless of whether it was soup or the main course...the service always asked questions and was super nice and accommodating...we would be happy to come back.

Perfect for a leisurely lunch break. Food came quickly, service was very friendly! I had the cream schnitzel with cheese spaetzle. They were very simply made, but that's exactly what made it. Simply delicious! The atmosphere is quite cozy and there wasn't a lot going on. The location is very central and is also ideal for a cozy nightcap after strolling.

Unfortunately the kitchen doesn't do what you'd expect...The schnitzel came with fried potatoes from 2023 and spoiled our evening with emergency medicine and very little fun! Sorry...but BIG FAIL:-(((

After we were left waiting outside for 20 minutes, I went in to draw attention to us. When I asked that we would like to order and sit outside, I was rudely dismissed with the statement: “Someone will come at some point.” I replied in a friendly manner: “Sometime?” The waiter replied: “Exactly, sometime, when we have time!” Then I went out, we waited there for another 5 minutes and then left. Simply impossible!
