Restaurant Kreta in Bad Harzburg

Essen nicht bzw. schlecht gewürzt, lauwarm, eher mies. Man möchte meinen, das Gewürze extrem teuer geworden sind in Bad Harzburg. Preise sind für einen durchschnittlichen Griechen, mit durchschnittlichen Portionsgrössen eher happig. Naja ein Versuch war es wert.

If you’re a fan of moussaka, you definitely have to come here! Generous portions with plenty of meat. The starters are also very tasty. Friendly atmosphere and wonderful service 🔝

It's definitely worth it. If you don't leave here satisfied, you can't be helped. Everything tastes good, the service is friendly and quick. You should make a reservation because the tables fill up quickly, highly recommended 👍😋

Unfortunately, such good reviews don't motivate the chef. I was disappointed with the side salad. A bowl of iceberg, with coleslaw. End. Not a tomato, not an olive or a slice of cucumber... Not a piece of feta cheese... When did it stop "The eye eats with you"!? Giros was really good, he can't do lamb chops. Fries dry and simply crumbly. Service and ambience really represent something. But for fine Greek cuisine there should be a pinch of love. Too bad.

We stayed here on the recommendation of our holiday apartment. Had the best gyros and the best metaxa sauce of our lives, there is no better gyros even in Greece. We would come by again anytime we are in the area. Staff super fast, super friendly and even with a full restaurant we had the food in no time. Keep it up, you're great! A little tip: reserve, otherwise it will be tight :)

We waited over an hour for our food. When we asked, we were told that it was normal to have to wait an hour when the terrace was full. When I replied that I would have liked to have known this beforehand so that I could decide whether I wanted to wait that long, I was offered an ouzo while I waited. On an empty stomach I would have found a bowl of olives and a piece of white bread more appropriate. We found our food (one omelet and one calamari) to be mediocre and rather boring. The one star for the ambience is because we had the table directly under the drinks counter and so the long waiting time was filled with conversations between staff and guests and nudges from people who had to pass us. For me, the good reviews here are hard to understand - but maybe we were just unlucky.

The female service staff, or even the boss, must be trained in their professionalism when dealing with guests! Saying something is one thing, how it is said is another. I allowed my grandson to drink from a shot glass that had been rinsed several times and filled with apple spritzer. The lady came and started grabbing the glasses from the table (in the truest sense of the word) and looked at me and started shouting: “I want the glass, now!” just rolled her eyes, I asked if we should pay because They've been rolling their eyes since the beginning and we don't seem to be wanted here! Children are apparently not welcome here and the ones we sat at the table didn't walk through the restaurant! When paying I was asked whether with card or cash, I with card. My mom, in her mid-80s, gave me her card and the lady immediately shouted: EC card! Okay, that can be friendlier too! My mom told me her PIN, which made the lady angry again, saying: Dude, that's data protection. Yes, and if I think I should write my PIN in the Bildzeitung, that's my business and not yours! We have been here several times, my entire family and friends have also been there several times, as written! I work in the tourism industry myself and have always recommended this Greek guy, but this is the end of it!

We ate like a king in this great restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was friendly and attentive. The lamb was very tender and the fries were crispy. The chocolate cake at the end was an experience. Highly recommended, we will definitely come back.

Wir haben angesichts drohenden Regens einen Tisch unter der Markise bestellt. Um 19 Uhr bei beginnendem Regen angekommen, alle regengeschützten Plätze vergeben. Das war das dritte Mal, dass eine Reservierung entgegengenommen wurde und zum Teil gar kein Platz oder nicht der bestellte frei war. So geht es nicht.

Friday is always Ouzo Day for us and has been for several years. But the restaurant really impressed us. So tasty and so nice, you have to find something like that first. We'd be happy to come back next time we visit Bad Harzburg.

Typischer Grieche. Service nett, aber nicht echt. Das Essen ist ok, mehr aber auch nicht. Leider konnte ich nicht weiter essen, da ich ein schwarzes langes Haar im Essen hatte (wurde nicht berechnet). Die Portionen sind dem Preis angemessen. Sehr klein und eng, was ja nicht schlimm ist, aber dadurch hört man alles, gerade wenn man man am Ausschank sitzt. Wenn das Personal dann dort über seine Gäste redet,ist das nicht so doll. Wir kommen nicht wieder und empfehlen auch nicht weiter

We felt comfortable here. Even though we didn't have a reservation, they gave us a table. The food was delicious. Unfortunately the liver was tough, which wasn't a tragedy. When I mentioned this, we were asked if we would like a schnapps on the house - totally nice - until I realized that every guest gets a schnapps anyway 🤣. You could have avoided that ☺️.

Picked up food again this afternoon, but this time it was great too. Price and quality are unbeatable. Next time we'll have another meal in the restaurant.

I had a beef fillet with fries on the side. The food is very tasty and you get a large portion for your money. The ambience is ok, it could be more authentic for a Greek restaurant in this price range. The Greek restaurant is very much adapted to German tastes (90% in Germany).

Chic Greek restaurant in Bad Harzburg. Nice ambience with creative decoration. The dishes are tasteful and delicious. Prices are relatively cheap for the portion size. Staff friendly and attentive. Parking spaces directly in front of the house. Recommended.

Goed en druk restaurant. Terras is wel aan de straat gelegen, maar die straat is niet heel erg druk. De kaart heeft een uitgebreide keuze aan de bekende Griekse gerechten. Het zijn redelijk grote porties. Personeel is erg vriendelijk. Wel tijdig reserveren voor het terras.

We had reserved a table, but you don't have to, but since the restaurant is small, you should do so if you want to eat there. The food was very good and nicely prepared. The service polite and attentive. Not a long wait. The premises are cozy. There are benches but also chairs. Price-performance is O.K. We will definitely eat there again.

Das Essen schmeckt wirklich hervorragend! Wir bekommen zu unserer Bestellung bei Abholung öfter eine kleine Flasche Wein dazu - darüber freuen wir uns immer sehr.

Ich besuche das Kreta nun schon seit über 30 Jahren, wenn wir in Bad Harzburg sind. Leider komme ich in letzter Zeit nicht mehr dazu dort essen zu gehen, da wir unsere FeWo in Bad Harzburg verkauft haben. Ich kann nur sagen, dass das Essen und der Service mich in dieser Zeit nie enttäuscht hat und es weiterhin zu meinen Lieblingsrestaurants in Deutschland gehört. Das junge Team führt das Restaurant in den schwierigen Zeiten weiterhin hervorragend und ich freue mich schon auf die Rennwoche 2024, wo ich bestimmt wieder Euer leckeres Essen genießen werde.

Lange Speisekarte, die alle Variationen der griechischen Küche zeigt. Sitzplätze fast nur auf Vorbestellung zu bekommen, schade - würde sonst öfter hingehen. Mit Außenbestuhlung ist es etwas besser. Es gehen auch viele Essen außer Haus, für mich das beste griechische Restaurant in Bad Harzburg. Leber in Metaxasauce war super !

Zu meinem Geburtstag habe ich hier einen Tisch reserviert. Das Lokal war sehr gut besucht. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Allerdings gab es für mich als Vegetarier nur wenig Optionen, das wäre ausbaufähig. Der Rest der Familie hatte eine riesige Auswahl an griechischen Speisen. Empfehlenswert 👍

Schönes kleines Restaurant das nicht wie bei vielen anderen Griechen so eine Massenabfertigung ist als wäre man auf einen Bahnhof. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und super gegessen,hat alles geschmeckt und die Preise sind auch normal geblieben nicht wie bei vielen anderen Restaurant heut zu Tage.

Am Anfang als wir her gezogen sind war es noch richtig gut. Leider lassen sie immer mehr nach. Die Protionen werden kleiner, es wird Koch teurer und teilweise riecht oder die Konsistenz istetwas " komisch"

Das Restaurant ist klein, aber fein und die Speisen von exzellenter Qualität und schmecken einfach hervorragend. Es wird mit frisch geriebenen Knoblauch gearbeitet uns schon bei den Vorspeisen kann man den Hauptgang kaum erwarten. Wenn wir wieder in Bad Harzburg sind, werden wir dort auf jeden Fall wieder einkehren.
