You should reserve well in advance. Spontaneous visits on Saturdays with more than 2 people could otherwise become problematic. The portions were very generous and we didn't wait long for the food. Not the cheapest in terms of price, but overall it was okay.

A VERY CLEAR recommendation🤩! I've been going there regularly for over 15 years and have never had anything that wasn't good. The service team is very friendly and tries to fulfill your every wish. A real family “feeling in good hands”😊 Price-performance is also good considering the large portions you get and the good quality👌🏽. There is also always a small schnapps as a courtesy from the restaurant. There is the option to sit inside and outside. I definitely recommend making a reservation in advance, as the restaurant is always very busy. Great team! Great restaurant! Gladly again🥰

Everything was good, the placement was bad despite the empty table, no more service after the meal, it's a shame... it could have been so good. I will avoid Crete in the future!

Very nice outdoor terrace in charming surroundings. I ordered gyros with rice and a side salad. The salad came quickly, as did the necessary cutlery 10 minutes later. Clearly visible food leftovers from previous guests were overlooked until the end. Gyros and rice could also be on one Cake plate still had room for development. Gyros a bit dry but still acceptable. Price performance 👎

Here too after a few times: Food is good, but not as good as the competition, meat is good to eat, but a bit poorly seasoned for my taste (not a smoker). 4/5 I found the service to be reasonably good. Depending on the day, sometimes you feel like you've had a quick breakfast, but at other times you feel warmly welcomed. 4/5 What really scores points here is the ambience, the location is great, the furnishings are beautifully modern/rustic. A small drawback here is the table opposite the toilet, I thought that wasn't there anymore, eating with the smell of toilet stone. 4.5/5. Very good for eating with large groups of 15 people, no problem.

I have been a new citizen here in OHZ since 2022 I've been there several times, great service, food is delicious. Staff 1 A everyone is super nice, no long waiting times for food. I'll be back . Torsten German

Very good atmosphere, great terrace, the food came very quickly and tasted very good.

I had fish with baked potatoes. The fish was not cheap frozen food from the deep fryer. The salad consisted of a few cheap bitter lettuce leaves. Three different people came to the table and kept asking if we had ordered. Seemed like mass processing to me. A few years ago it was much more pleasant and comfortable. I don't understand the hype but OHZ just doesn't have much to offer.

A very family-run restaurant. No wish is left unfulfilled here. The food is always delicious and sufficient. Staff very friendly and attentive. You simply feel comfortable and welcome here.

We were there today for the first time after the reopening. The positive first: the food is perfect! Really plentiful and tasty. Unfortunately the service is unfriendly. It's not hospitable here. You have to pack your own food, which is okay. You don't have to react sniffily when you want to pack everything up individually! The food is expensive enough now that two more bowls shouldn't hurt. We were really looking forward to our meal as we don't often travel without children. But we had the feeling of not being welcome here! When we left, not even our “goodbye” was returned! It doesn't work at all. We will no longer recommend Crete and will not come back. If you don't feel like going to your restaurant, then you don't have to open it again. A pity!

I was there with a larger group on June 7th, 2024. For me it was the first time but it probably won't be the last time. The food was super tasty. Starters, tzatziki, chicken in Metaxa were all really delicious. All dishes came at the same time and were hot, even though the restaurant was very full. Nice service, easy to recommend. For me, the journey from Bremen Rekum is definitely worth it. Many thanks to the Crete team :)

The ambience is not my taste. It looks a bit carelessly furnished. The main thing is that a lot of people fit in. The pizza was nothing at all, any Italian is better. Potion is much too big and the fact that you had to pack the food yourself is reminiscent of a canteen. I certainly don't recommend it.

Very good facility, staff all very accommodating. The food was very tasty and was on the table quickly.

You eat very well in the Crete restaurant. The good Greek cuisine will probably fill everyone up! Very good service, courteous employees and owners. The menu includes all well-known specialties.

Currently my favorite Greek 🥰 Suflakispecial is particularly recommended. Delicious!!

Anyone who knows Crete knows what is good.

My review is based on my experience six years ago. The unfriendly and overwhelmed staff does not create a pleasant environment. Guests who also speak vulgarly even though children are present show that there is more drinking than eating here. The tzatziki tastes good, but not as if it were homemade. You get a fairly large portion for your money, but unfortunately the quality suffers. Dogs were also allowed in here. Which is unsuitable for allergy sufferers. It is highly questionable how this restaurant achieves good reviews. I would therefore recommend people to visit the 5 star restaurant McDonalds.

We have enjoyed eating there for over 30 years. But unfortunately the service has deteriorated significantly now. You are checked in and goodbye..... after the last time there it's over for us. Food was ok, but the rest was no longer good. It's a shame actually. I can't recommend it any more.

We were able to eat outside with a group. The service was good, but over the course of the evening there was a noticeable increase in demand. The food was very good. Gladly again.

Rundherum Wohlfühlambiente, drinnen und draußen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Keine feste Betreuung, aber alle höflich und nett. Das Essen war sehr gut. Die war men Speisen kamen perfekt an den Tisch. Die Preise finde ich für die Qualität angemessen.

Ein Osterholz-Scharmbecker Original: "Kreta" am Marktplatz. Eine 5-Sterne-Google-Location. Speisen lecker und reichlich, Service super freundlich, aufmerksam und das Ambiente Innen saugemütlich, Außen großartig mit Blick auf Kirche und Marktplatz.

Es ist auf jeden Fall ein Besuch wert.

Essen war lecker, jedoch wenn man nicht so viel Knoblauch möchte, sind die Gerichte manchmal extrem damit bestreut

Komme nur noch her da ich von meiner Firma eingeladen werde, privat bin ich sehr unzufrieden. Bei meinen Besuch als Privatperson musste ich sehr lange auf Bedienung warten. Vorspeisen und Hauptgericht kamen Nahe zu zeitgleich. Das Essen selber soweit war okay aber nicht was ich von anderen griechischen Restaurants kenne. Als es ums zahlen ging würde man mit freundlicher Ignoranz behandelt, als dann die Rechnung kam musste man leider feststellen das Preis-Leistung nicht übereinstimmen. Schade das man besser behandelt wird wenn man mit einer Firma da ist. Deswegen von mir nur 2 Sterne.

Freundlicher Service. Gutes Fleisch und Gemüse, frisch. Preis/Leistung stimmen gut überein. Ein super Laden im sonsten desolaten Osterholz Scharmbeck.

Bester Grieche der ganzen Gegend! Aber selbst ich als guter Esser muss mit manchen Portionen kämpfen ;)

Das Essen einfach super, grosse Portionen und lecker dazu. Können wir nur weiterempfehlen. Sehr freundliches Personal, zuvorkommend. Tischreservierung hat super geklappt, waren mit einem Kind da, uns wurde daraufhin noch ein anderer Tisch angeboten wegen dem Kinderwagen, obwohl schon viel los war. Ich finde es in Ordnung wenn man sich das Essen selbst einpackt, da es für das Personal eine zusätzliche Belastung darstellt.

Wir waren vor einer Woche hier und waren sehr zufrieden. Heute dann das erste Mal den anderen Griechen um die Ecke ausprobiert und ich kann nur sagen, es war echt kein Vergleich zu Kreta. Eher grottenschlecht. Wir haben uns geärgert, dass wir nicht wieder hierher gekommen sind. Das Essen ist super und die Preise angemessen. Wenn Grieche, dann nur noch hier.

Wie immer voll, ohne Reservierung läuft fast nichts. Gutes Essen und Getränke bei sehr aufmerksamer Bedienung. Typisch grieschiches Restaurant mit viel zu großen Portionen, jedenfalls für uns. Da wäre etwas weniger manchmal mehr. Man kann sich die Reste natürlich einpacken lassen, aber das ist nicht jedermanns Sache.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und auch die Portionen waren für den Preis sehr angemessen. Das Personal war zwar im ganzen auch Recht freundlich aber als wir dann fertig waren mit dem Essen haben sie uns einfach Schalen hingestellt und wir mussten unser Essen selbst einpacken.

Das Restaurant kann man empfehlen. Leider sind die Portionen sehr groß. Aber man hat die Möglichkeit die Reste mitzunehmen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Super aufmerksamer Service, keine langen Wartezeiten. Ich hatte heute mal die vegetarische Pizza und bin auch davon sehr begeistert. Viel frisches Gemüse und super lecker! Besonders der Ouzo mit Feige ist super!

Saganaki zu trocken, Gigantes zu lange im Ofen, Fleischbällchen in Tomatensauce ohne Biss. Krautsalat und Tsatziki gut. Alles im Allen: durchwachsen.

Eigentlich bin ich ein kritischer Mensch, aber in diesem Restaurant habe ich nichts gefunden worüber man meckern kann. Essen excellent- Service 1a- super lecker und die Preise passen auch.

Wir waren gestern das erstmal in dem Restaurant (28.02.2023) und ich war absolut geflasht. In Leipzig haben wir sehr viele griechische Restaurants, aber nur die wenigsten kommen an die Qualität des Essen heran. Wir hatten beide jeweils eine Vorspeise und dann eine Platte für 2. Wir haben uns vollkommen überschätzt, was die Menge angeht. Wir konnten sogar was mitnehmen. Es war unglaublich lecker, egal was ich aß, ich wurde nicht enttäuscht und konnte sofort bei mir punkten. Auch die Bedienungen waren überaus freundlich und konnten durchaus auch ein paar Minuten erübrigen für einen kleinen Plausch. Für mich auf jeden fall ein gelungener Abend und ich kann mit wohlwollen das Restaurant Kreta weiterempfehlen. Wir kommen wieder!

Sehr lecker . Eines der besseren griechischen Restaurant. Leider immer sehr voll, dadurch natürlich ein gewisser Geräuschpegel. Aber wer gerne zum Griechen geht ist dort sehr gut aufgehoben. Es gab sogar einen kostenfreien Nachtisch.

Moin, das Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich. Die Kellner sind nett und zuvorkommend. Werden wieder dort hingehen.

Wir haben im Kreta einen sehr netten Abend mit Freunden verbracht. Reservieren muss man hier auf jeden Fall, jeder Platz war belegt. Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient und mussten auf Speisen und Getränke nicht lange warten. Das Essen war richtig lecker und die Portionen sind äußerst reichlich. Ich hatte Gyros mit Sahnesauce und Pommes dazu - das war top! Vorab und danach wird natürlich Ouzo gereicht. Genau so stelle ich mir ein Essen "beim Griechen" vor. Gern kommen wir wieder.

Trotzdem es sehr "Busy" war wurden wir freundlich begrüßt und es wurde sich am Tisch sofort um uns gekümmert. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam. Das Essen war sehr gut. Und der Wein ausgezeichnet

Die Bedienung ist schnell und sehr aufmerksam! Das Essen wird mit einer guten Temperatur an den Tisch gebracht so das auch langsam Esser ihre Portion warm aufessen können! Man kann sich aussuchen was man will alle Speisen schmecken super! Für mich ist es das beste griechische Restaurant im Umkreis von 100km. Wir waren mit 13 Personen da und konnten alle zur gleichen Zeit essen! Die Portionen sind gewaltig, was man nicht schafft wird eingepackt und reicht noch für den nächsten Tag.

Wir waren zu dritt hier Abends essen. Das Restaurant war brechend voll, so dass wir froh waren reserviert zu haben. Maske musste man zwar tragen, Hände konnte man desinfizieren, aber nach unseren Impfnachweisen hat keiner gefragt. Schneller und netter Service, inkl. des obligatorischen Ouzo vorab und einen Kirschschnaps hinterher auf Kosten des Hauses. Zu recht ein top bewertetes Restaurant für Leute die gerne und viel Fleisch essen wollen.

Restaurant is always fairly full and without reservation no nice window seats available. Onion soup was just average but the lamb chops 2 pieces very good and the rest average. You can get 3 different digestives during the meal.
