A fantastic restaurant! Excellent and extremely friendly service. A kitchen team that truly knows what they're doing *****, and a wonderfully pleasant atmosphere!

The food was delicious and highly recommended for people with celiac disease (I suffer from it myself). The waiter was very knowledgeable and knew exactly where gluten was used and where it wasn't. He seemed very trustworthy!

Very good price, €40 per person for a starter, main course, and two drinks is okay.

Lambros and Georg as hosts are simply fantastic – warm, attentive, and a truly great guy. Plus, the food is outstanding. You can taste the craftsmanship. Lamb, steak, or gyros – always juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The fish is also excellent. And the lakeside setting is wonderful: relaxed, cozy, it feels like a mini-vacation. In short: Amazing food, great people, and a welcoming atmosphere.

We were here for the first time last night. We received a warm welcome. Very friendly staff. The food was absolutely delicious (lamb shank), souvlaki, bifteki, and the salad dressing, whether vinegar and oil or yogurt dressing, was perfectly balanced. Good value for money. Changing our order was no problem. We'll definitely be back. The only downside is the unlit parking lot. 👍👍👍 We were there again today. Even after a year, the food is still the same high quality. Very friendly staff.

Today, eight of us (4 adults/4 kids) spontaneously went to Kouros after swimming! What can I say? The service was really nice, attentive, and courteous! The ambiance, with the view over the lake, is truly beautiful, and the food was truly excellent! The gyro is fresh and juicy without being greasy! Taramas is deliciously creamy, and the calamari was also excellent! We're already looking forward to our next visit! Oh yes, before I forget: they also have really good mocha!

The "Kouros am See" is a fantastic restaurant. While a bit more expensive than your average Greek restaurant, it offers absolutely top-notch quality. The wine selection is also perfectly matched to the various dishes. The service is always friendly and, after several visits, has become more cordial. Especially noteworthy in summer is the stunning west-facing (sunset!) terrace on the lake.

We had to wait a long time for our drinks and food. The food was okay, but it didn't stand out from the crowd.

The only minor drawback I'd like to mention is the rather high price of the dishes. I was surprised by the prices, and I was briefly annoyed because I hadn't done my research beforehand. However, the quality and taste of the food justify this higher price for me. Conclusion: For the money you pay, you get very good quality!

A beautiful location on Lake Buchzig, and the staff very friendly. The quality and taste of the food are excellent. Points deducted for, in my opinion, the prices are simply far too high and the portions are small. You don't really expect that from a Greek restaurant. If it were cheaper, you'd probably eat there more often.

The prices are probably inflated due to the lakeside location and the beautiful view. We arrived just in time for opening and found that all the tables outside were free and had no "reserved" signs. Nevertheless, we were refused a seat outside. During our entire stay in the stuffy interior, every table outside remained unoccupied. I asked to be seated closer to the door—with a disabled child in a wheelchair. Only under this condition were we allowed to stay at all. We were extremely disappointed—who the tables right by the lake were intended for remains a mystery to me. The food is like all Greek restaurants—but the customer service is nonexistent. I discovered this place today; it was still closed for orders and reservations, so we arrived just in time for opening. They could have at least offered us the empty tables for an hour. Such a shame. A beautiful place.

Great Greek restaurant. In my opinion, the best in the area and everything you'd expect. The food is really good. You feel very valued as a guest. The atmosphere is warm. And of course, there was ouzo at the end. We'll always come back.

The quality of price and taste don't match at all, more like snack quality. All four of the szaziki didn't taste good and were a mini portion. The meat was dry and probably cooked on a contact grill. All plates cost between 23 and 30 euros. We raised it personally but were not taken seriously. Too bad

My absolute favorite restaurant! Both the service and the food are outstanding. I have never felt so comfortable in a restaurant. I was also able to take a look behind the scenes and what the chef Aristea does is more than remarkable. As a married couple, she and Lambros reflect their homeland 100% in this restaurant. The whole team consists only of people with a heart and you notice this immediately when you visit. Top products, cozy and authentic atmosphere and family service. What more could you want… highly recommended!

Well: I used to be there every other day. Due to the move to Seestrasse 48, near the Buchtzig bathing lake, I no longer manage to do it as often. Unfortunately! In addition, the overall price development in many areas also plays into the usual habits. But if so, then the finest in Kouros. Lambros and Georg in service, Evi at the counter and Aristea with her helpers in the kitchen serve a complete work of the highest quality. If you want to do something good for yourself - go there and enjoy (but not between August 18th - September 18th, 2024/company holidays)👍

Very pleasant atmosphere with a great outdoor terrace and a wonderful view of Lake Buchzigsee. There are sufficient parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant. We were served very friendly and had a large selection of food and drinks. The drinks were consumed quickly and brought to the table quickly. You can immediately tell from the staff that they have been doing this job for years and they know exactly what they are doing. The food was super tasty. Again any time.

Spontaneously decided to go there again, for the first time in the new location by the lake... without a reservation as a couple. A single table on the terrace was free, but wasn't given to us, supposedly reserved, was free until the end of our stay... I found that next to it at 30 °C. That's why only 3 stars overall. The only thing that took away from it was the delicious food, otherwise it would have only been given 1 star.

Found via Google recommendation (while passing through) and rated it as “great”. The location - right on the lake - on the terrace is beautiful and idyllic and the service is courteous and friendly. We ordered the "Greek plate" and vegetarian zucchini fritters. Both dishes were extremely tasty and fresh. We'd love to come back when we're nearby.

This is the best Greek we know!! We've been going to this Greek place for 15 years. We emigrated to America 6 years ago and still love coming back to eat gyros with Metaxa sauce and grilled pepperoni. We are already looking forward to our next visit. The owners are also always very friendly and remember us every year.

I think it's overpriced. The aperitif in a small glass with lots of ice cubes for 9 euros is outrageous. There was no garnish or side dish with the main course. The ambience is very nice and tasteful. The service is hectic and stressful.

Unfortunately we are very disappointed. The portions were small, they charged 40 cents per mayo and the waitress with glasses was snooty. The food tasted good but the portions were small in relation to the price. Everything was better before!

So, top top top!! Difficult without a reservation, we were with a larger group during the week. Plenty of parking space, easy to find. The restaurant itself didn't blow me away, but the food and the owners did. Still 5 points! I'd love to go there again :)).

Die Portionen sind ingesamt eher klein… aber das Essen schmeckt gut.

Seit Jahrzehnten gleichbleibend gute Qualität. Nach einem Besuch kann man sich sicher sein, gut gegessen zu haben.

Essen ,Bedienung, Freundlichkeit war alles super.Portionen fast zu gross. Preise sind völlig OK.Und von vielen Griechen der einzige der Gyros auf der Karte hat und super lecker war. Kommen gern wieder.

Die Freundlichkeit der Inhaber ist ausbaufähig Auf der Webseite wurden extra vegetarische und Veganer Gerichte (außerhalb der Karte) versprochen und angepriesen, außer den Vorspeisen und Moussaka gab es vor Ort leider nichts. Schade, die Location ist echt schön und wäre sicherlich öfter einen Besuch wert. Essen und Service leider nicht. Ich bin mir sicher, tief im Inneren schlummert noch eine gewisse Gastgeberleidenschaft, nur nach Außen kommt sie leider (aktuell) nicht rüber.

Sehr nettes Restaurant, tolles Essen und schöne Lage an einem See. Die gemischte Vorspeisenplatte war sehr lecker, ich hatte als Hauptgericht Hähnchenbrust, welche genau richtig zubereitet gewesen ist. Die Inneneinrichtung sieht stilvoll aus und der Service ist zuvorkommend. Eine gute Empfehlung.

Der beste Grieche im Landkreis Karlsruhe und eines der besten Restaurants in der Region. Langjährige Erfahrung und tolles Ambiente ergänzen das sehr gute Essen. Auch der Service ist sehr professionell. Deshalb immer wieder gerne und sehr zu empfehlen!!!

Habe schon lange nicht mehr so lecker griechisch gegessen. Die gegrillten Peperoni waren mit einer tollen Knoblauchsoße versehen, welche ihren Namen zurecht hatte. Davon konnte ich nicht genug bekommen. Gott sei Dank gab's dazu genug frisches, knuspriges Baguette. Als Hauptspeise gab es dann gegrillten Oktopus u. Calamaris (Sonderwunsch!) Alles war auf den Punkt zubereitet. Abgerundet wurde der positive Eindruck durch den netten, freundlichen Service. Einziger Nachteil war für uns die große Geräuschkullisse im Restaurant.

Essen war wirklich mit Abstand genial. Leider sind wir nicht so herzlich und vor allem schnell bedient worden wie die anderen, wahrscheinlich lag es daran dass wir 3 kerle waren, dreckig vom Auto überführen auf der Autobahn auf dem weg nach Hause. Aber es tat dem Besuch tatsächlich keinen Abbruch, die Lage ist super, das Essen gigantisch, und per Anruf innerhalb einer viertel Stunde noch einen Tisch bekommen! Absoluten Respekt und trotz all den Differenzen absoluten Respekt!

Meine Taufe wurde in diesem Restaurant gefeiert,ich bin mittlerweile 42 Jahre alt!!! Ich glaube das spricht für sich da muss man nicht mehr zu sagen!! Wenn sich ein Restaurant soooo lange hält,kann es nur super sein! Es ist seit Jahren das Stammrestaurant meiner Familie und diese Tradition werde ich weiterführen bis ans Ende! Weiter so!!! Very good Greek style restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating areas. Greek food and classic European food. Very tasty and delicious! Meals are not as oily as in many other Greek restaurants. Waiters are quite busy, you have to make yourself heard to get attention. Modern atmosphere.
