Restaurant Kostbar in Bad Mergentheim

I found that there was only a soup, a main course and dessert for lunch and I didn't find enough choice. The top of the top was, they don't take cash, you can only pay with a card. Otherwise, I fully agree with SB RB's assessment. Barely an hour after I wrote this review, the management of the restaurant contacted me. She expressed her regret and invited us to come by again to check the quality. I find that very hospitable!! We will be happy to accept the offer in the new year.

The dining room was pretty cool right away. This in cold, damp weather. There was only water, tea or juice to drink. When the lady came with two pieces of paper and asked if we wanted soup, she didn't know what the soup was called, even though there was only one. The main course of breaded fried kohlrabi with triplet potatoes and spinach was lukewarm. The potatoes had been kept warm for so long that they were already hard and shriveled. Salad was fine, dessert was fine too, but it didn't blow me away, although the price did for the poor quality of the food. Never again, we were very disappointed because we went there because of the good recessions.

Recommended without exception! Probably the best example of how excellent and varied meat-free cuisine can taste. A real experience. We'll be back. Thank you !

My first visit to the 'Kostbar' restaurant was as part of the monthly evening event 'Das Glück von der Stange', which focused on one of my favorite vegetables: asparagus! To begin with my conclusion: I haven't eaten so well in a long time! Far from the classic asparagus menu, the Kostbar kitchen team surprised its guests this evening with extraordinary compositions and, at the same time, proved that you can also cook purely vegetarian food at the highest level! From the entrée to the main course to the dessert, well-known classics of asparagus cuisine were taken up and enhanced using high-quality ingredients and a lot of creativity. The cooking here was done with a lot of love and passion. The culinary experience was rounded off by a beautiful and pleasant atmosphere in which I felt comfortable from the start. You can probably tell: I am more than impressed and will certainly not wait until the next evening event before my next visit. After all, the dishes on the lunch menu suggest that a delicious experience awaits you here too!
