Restaurant KOS in Ochtrup

Wir sind total enttäuscht nach unserem heutigen Besuch. Die Portionensgrösse steht mittlerweile in keinem Verhältnis mehr zum Preis. Das servierte Moussaka war von innen noch kalt. Es ging zurück in die Küche und kamm zerstückelt ohne jegliche Entschuldigung zurück. Nicht zu empfehlen. Wir werden nicht mehr wieder kommen.

Wir waren mit der Familie zum Essen , wir wurden an der Tür empfangen und Platziert. Service nett und hat sich sehr viel mühe gegeben. Typisch mediterrane Küche , kann ich nur empfehlen.Gyros Pfanne super lecker und die Dorado von meinem Mann sehr gut, weiter so, wir kommen wieder, Dankeschön

Wir waren vor ein paar Tagen dort essen und leider war der gesamte Besuch eine einzige Enttäuschung. Schon beim Reinkommen fiel uns ein sehr muffiger Geruch auf und das Restaurant wirkte eher wie eine alte Kneipe als wie ein gemütliches griechisches Restaurant. Darüber hätte man vielleicht noch hinwegsehen können, wenn der Rest gestimmt hätte. Trotz Reservierung bekamen wir einen Tisch ganz hinten in der Ecke, an dem teilweise sogar Besteck fehlte. Dieses wurde uns erst nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen gebracht. Auch unsere Getränke wurden vergessen und kamen erst deutlich später. Das größte Problem war allerdings die Wartezeit auf das Essen: Wir haben fast 1,5 Stunden auf unsere Hauptgerichte gewartet. Währenddessen stellte sich bei den Vorspeisen heraus, dass mehrere Dinge ausverkauft waren unter anderem Peperoni. Jemand von uns hatte außerdem Ofenfeta bestellt, der innen noch kalt war. Als die Hauptgerichte endlich kamen, waren gleich zwei Essen falsch. Mein Partner hatte darum gebeten, statt Lamm Bifteki zu bekommen, bekam aber stattdessen normale Hacksteaks. Auch mein Gericht war falsch. Nachdem ich das direkt angesprochen hatte, kam kurze Zeit später eine andere Kellnerin und tat so, als hätte vorher niemand etwas gesagt. Die Grillplatte für 53 € war ebenfalls enttäuschend: ein paar Stücke Fleisch mit Pommes ,absolut nicht angemessen für diesen Preis. Besonders absurd fanden wir aber, dass ausgerechnet das Tzatziki leer war, obwohl es laut Karte zu mehreren Gerichten dazugehört und man es eigentlich als Standard in einem griechischen Restaurant erwartet. Der absolute Höhepunkt war jedoch die Mayonnaise: Diese war seit vier Wochen abgelaufen. Als wir einen Kellner darauf aufmerksam machten, wirkte dieser erschrocken und ging wortlos weg. Kurz darauf brachte uns eine andere Kellnerin einfach noch mehr Mayonnaise. Als wir erneut erklärten, dass diese seit Wochen abgelaufen ist, fing sie nur an zu kichern und sagte nur: „Oh mein Gott“, bevor sie wieder ging. Das Essen selbst war geschmacklich okay, vielleicht auch, weil wir nach der langen Wartezeit einfach Hunger hatten. Insgesamt würden wir dort aber definitiv nicht noch einmal essen gehen.

Großen Bogen. Wo fange ich an? - Kein Tzatziki vorrätig (ohne Vorankündigung, Essen wurde ohne gebracht) - Mayonnaise abgelaufen (gab keine frische mehr) - andere Vorspeisen nicht mehr vorrätig, andere aus der Packung, Brot nicht frisch - Wartezeit von über 1 Stunde, keine Zwischensnacks - kaputtes Geschirr, dreckige Fenster - falsch geliefertes Essen, mehrfach - Unter dem Personal keine Abstimmung, Fehler wurden mehrfach begangen Essen war okay. Verstehe die guten Bewertungen hier nicht. Scheinen aus besseren Zeiten zu stammen. Kellnerin war nett, Inhaber scheint die Kunden sprachlich nicht zu verstehen und hatte nichts weitergegeben. Entschuldigungen waren rar. Aber keine frischen Saucen und kein Tzatziki (und das erst erfahren als alles auf dem Tisch stand) spricht mMn für alles

Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe dort zum Essen. Eine Bekannte hatte einen Tisch für 12 Personen gebucht. Wir würden auf die Kegelbahn zum Essen gesetzt, leider sagte im Vorfeld niemand von Kos das auf der anderen Kegelbahn gekegelt wird. Das Essen war OK aber aus meiner Sicht (Grillteller für 24€) etwas zu teuer.

Wir waren immer sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen und auch dem Personal, aber leider war es gestern gar nicht gut. Mein Garnelenteller für 24,50€ bestand aus 3 Garnelen und Gemüse. Der Teller meines Mannes war am Rand kaputt, was nicht gerade einladend aussah. Ich hoffe, dass es beim nächsten Mal wieder so gut wird wie bisher und sie einfach gestern mal einen schlechten Tag hatten. Schade...

Selten bzw. Nie so wenig auf einem Teller gehabt, wie in diesem Restaurant. Bei den Preisen eine absolute Frechheit in jedem Imbiss bekommt man mehr. DUE Hälfte der Teller mit Pommes und als Beilage Fleisch mit einem Schälchen Joghurt, was wahrscheinlich Tsatsiki sein sollte. Das bisschen Fleisch war zu dem noch ordentlich versalzen. Noch nie so schlecht bei einem Griechen gegessen.

Haben nirgends so gute Calamaris gegessen wie bei Kos.

Wir sind heute sehr enttäuscht. Sind mit 5 Personen. 2 Personen bekamen ihr Essen 45 Minuten später. Die anderen hatten ihr Essen lange auf . Es kam keine Entschuldigung - oder Erklärung Erst nachdem ich nach vorne gegangen bin,kam endlich das Essen. Das war dann teilweise noch roh

Für 21€ kekomme ich ein kleines Essen, vermutlich aus der Dose. Vor 1 Jahr war es dreimal so viel mit frischen guten Produkten. Auf Rückfrage gab es ledeglich ein" das war mal mehr. Heute ist es eine ÜBERRASCHUNG" ohne nachbesserung, satt geworden bin ich nicht. Dass war leider mein letzter Besuch.

Waren zum ersten Mal dort und das nicht zum letzten Mal. Freundlicher Service gutes Essen waren positiv überrascht

Sehr leckeres Essen in schönem Ambiente. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passte. Kleiner Minuspunkt beim Essen, ich hatte einen Grillteller, war der fehlende Reis und die normal dazugehörige rote Aioli.

Das beste griechische Restaurant. Ich empfehle Ihnen einen Besuch.

Wir hatten ein köstliches Essen. Super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Sehr nette Leute. Der griechische Joghurt mit hausgemachten eingelegten Trauben war superlecker. Aber Vorsicht beim Parken! Wir kamen abends an und der Parkplatz des Restaurants war voll, also parkten wir auf dem Nachbarparkplatz, ohne zu wissen, dass das nicht erlaubt ist. Als wir zurückkamen, stand eine ältere Dame mit einem kleinen Hund da und sagte uns, dass wir dort nicht parken dürften. Wir entschuldigten uns und fuhren weg. Doch als wir ins Auto stiegen, sahen wir, dass unsere Heckscheibe voller Hundekot war! Hatte die Besitzerin des Grundstücks ihren Hund etwa auf unser Auto kacken lassen?! Also, passt auf, wo ihr parkt!

We happened upon this restaurant while refueling across the street. We were actually planning to go somewhere else, but we ended up choosing this one. We absolutely didn't regret it. Delicious food, large portions, friendly staff, and good service. Highly recommended.

Update 2024 & 2025: Unfortunately, the prices have increased (no problem) and the portions have become significantly smaller (which isn't so good - you have to be full). What annoyed me, however, was that items were left out of dishes, even though they were clearly listed on the menu (and have been for the past 5 years...regular customer). I then complained, but they didn't take me seriously; they just smiled at me. That wasn't very hospitable, and I didn't find it nice. So I read them their own menu. Only then was the missing part of the dish reluctantly provided (and with an extra wait). ****##########*** Very delicious food. You'll fill yourself up here! Extremely friendly staff. Even the small items from the menu are highly recommended.

We picked up food today for the first time in a long time. I've never been disappointed with the food there. Gyro with gravy. The meat (I suspect it was leftovers sliced from the day before and stored in the fridge) was simply inedible. €17.90 for nothing! Too bad, but I won't be picking up anything again, let alone eating at your place!

We were at the outlet. On the way home, we stopped at Kos because of the good reviews and asked the waiter if they had any other dishes besides pork. He smiled at us and said, "Just come in, we'll take care of it!" It was worth it. We ate lamb shank, sea bream, baby calamari, anchovies, and lamb fillet. We filled ourselves like we were in the South. It was delicious and looked freshly prepared. The atmosphere was cozy. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Ochtrup. 00

It was lovely to sit outside in peace with the dog. The food was really good. Definitely worth pulling off the highway if you want to eat on the go.

The Greek restaurant Kos has undergone a noticeable change under its new owner. It's clear that someone with a fresh approach has brought a fresh approach to the restaurant. The quality of the food is particularly noteworthy. The dishes consistently taste delicious and appear freshly prepared. The portions are also just right – neither too small nor too large, so you'll feel pleasantly full. The ambiance is also appealing and inviting.

We ordered food there for the first time since the change of ownership. It's more expensive and there's less. They don't serve Greek beans anymore. I don't understand why. We were regular customers there for years and that's no longer an issue for us.

An absolute recommendation! Very good food! I highly recommend the pepperoni as a starter! The staff is super attentive and greets you very warmly. The food you order arrives very quickly, and you don't have to wait long. We came spontaneously and were lucky to get a seat, as reservations are always a plus. We'll be back :-)

We come here often and had a lot of fun with Nihad tonight. As always, the food was absolutely great. Kos is our absolute favorite restaurant. Even children are treated very warmly - highly recommended!

Good atmosphere, luxury and delicious food

Unfreundlicher geht es nicht! Wir wollten heute etwas zu Essen bestellen und dann abholen. Schon am Telefon wurde man angeranzt, weil man eine Gericht bestellen wollte, was laut Besitzer nicht mehr auf der Karte sei. Wir hatten die Karte von der Website des Restaurants benutzt…. Als dies vor Ort noch einmal angesprochen wurde, wurde man sofort des Restaurants verwiesen und es wurde ein Hausverbot ausgesprochen. Wir waren jahrelang Stammkunden in diesem Restaurant, aber da werden wir nicht mehr bestellen. So kann man ein Restaurant auch runterwirtschaften. Schade!

Unfortunately I have to withdraw my 5 star rating. The owner is unfriendly and bans the house when his rude behavior is pointed out to him. We were regular customers for years. That's over now. Too bad!

We went here to eat because of the positive reviews. Unfortunately the prices do not match those on the homepage. On the current menu they are more expensive. We drank retsina. Half a liter for 11 euros is very expensive considering how much it costs to buy. My gratinated gyro was fine. My husband's suvlaki was dry. Unfortunately there is no Greek atmosphere in the rooms. Neither in terms of the furnishings nor the music. The staff very friendly.

You simply have to recommend this restaurant. The starters and main courses were perfectly prepared and very tasty, the sea bream was particularly worth mentioning, it was excellently prepared. We often eat there and it tastes great. You can tell the fish is fresh. We eat vegetarian and pescatarian. Even when we still ate meat, we were always thrilled. Fresh and delicious. The whole staff is super friendly!

After entering the restaurant, I was greeted directly and friendly and escorted to my seat. After a short time my order was taken. I ordered #42, gyros with a meat skewer and a minced meat piece. A small, tasty salad was quickly brought out as a starter. About 15 minutes later my grill plate arrived with tzatziki and fried potato slices. Everything tasted very tasty and the waitresses regularly checked whether everything was OK. The restaurant is very clean and well decorated. My request was happily granted and the leftover food was packed for me. My meal cost 18 euros, which I think is fair for the quality and quantity. Conclusion: Clear recommendation. Your Andy

Very nice Greek restaurant in the heart of Ochtrup. We were guests here today with 4 people and we were all very impressed. All dishes are highly recommended. The service is at its best The whole team and especially the restaurant owner radiate warmth and pamper the guests with a very courteous friendliness. Today, among other things, We ate a variety of starters and were surprised by the variety of tastes, not to mention the main courses🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 At the end there was a sweet Greek delicacy from the boss. We always end up at KOS because it is delicious. The boss and the staff are very nice and friendly. If people arrive drunk and break things and behave... it's normal for them to be thrown out.

Yesterday we were in the restaurant with 5 people. While I was in the toilet, someone in our group had dimmed the small table lamp a little, whereupon the boss told them not to do anything stupid. Since I wasn't at the table at the time, I asked the boss to explain to me what was going on. Then all I heard was: “Do you want to stress me out?” Then he took the table lamp completely down from the table. We are very sorry for the rest of the very friendly staff because the food was very good. But you don't speak to your customers in that tone. We will switch to other restaurants in the future.

We were in the Kos restaurant for the second time and can only say that if you want delicious Greek food and feel like a king as a guest, this is the place for you. Fantastic service. We can only recommend the Kos restaurant and will definitely come back.

For us the best Greek in the area! Very nice service, very good quality meat, very tasty seasoning, generous portion and suitable for the big hunger! Whether gyros, bifteki, souflaki, everything is top and hard to beat! Whenever we are near, e.g. DOC a visit is mandatory here. Great, keep it up!

Very friendly service and delicious food. The premises, on the other hand, are a bit old. It looks more like an old pub/tavern. We found the method of calculation for mayo/ketchup to be “usury”. Each bag (the small ones that you tear open) was charged €1 each (depending on how many were used). We would have liked to have been made aware of this in advance, otherwise we would know this as being included in the dish and the price for such small bags is already significantly overpriced. (The dishes themselves have already gone up in price - a dollop of sauce should be included.)

We had dinner with colleagues at Trutzschler, everything was great. I was surprised that they served aniseed vodka at the beginning and at the end, and I was pleased by the bartender, who also drank a “stoparik”👌 for our health! Clean, cozy, beer and food are delicious... if we are in Ochtrup, we will definitely visit this restaurant
