Restaurant Klosterstüble in Schönwald im Schwarzwald

Das Essen war bei uns wirklich miserabel. Die angeblich Hausmacher Kartoffelsuppe war mit echt viel Bindemittel gestreckt, meine Bratkartoffeln waren schrecklich gewürzt und die Sosse vom Schweinefilet war nur fettig. Sogar der Salat war lieblos und fad. Der Biergarten war sehr schön zum Sitzen, aber wir kommen definitiv nicht wieder.

Die Spätzle waren leider sehr trocken und haben vor allem nach Teig geschmeckt, das gegrillte Hähnchen war äußerst trocken. Insgesamt leider sehr enttäuschend.

Wir aßen köstliches Eis und Apfelstrudel. Das Vanilleeis war ein Genuss und wurde aus echter Vanille zubereitet. Die Bedienung war höflich und schnell. Auch die Gerichte der anderen Gäste sahen gut aus.

Das beste Restaurant der Gegend, gemütliche Atmosphäre, freundliches Personal, erstklassiges Essen. Die Käsespätzle waren einfach großartig, genauso wie das – noch nie zuvor gegessene – Schnitzel mit geschmolzenem Käse. Absolut einen Besuch wert. Weiter so! ***Update Juli 2026: Ein Jahr nach meiner ersten Fünf-Sterne-Bewertung war ich wieder da. Leider war ich dieses Mal ziemlich enttäuscht von meinem Abendessen. Die beiden Kellnerinnen waren zwar durchgehend beschäftigt, aber der Service war extrem langsam. Es dauerte über 30 Minuten, bis meine Bestellung fertig war. Ich habe auch mehrere Gäste gesehen, die zur Theke gingen, um nach etwas zu fragen, das sie wenige Minuten zuvor bestellt hatten und das nie an ihren Tisch gebracht wurde. Einige Freunde oder Familienmitglieder der Angestellten/Inhaber saßen im Restaurant und unterhielten sich mit den Angestellten, was den Service zusätzlich verlangsamte. Ich konnte nicht genau beurteilen, was in der Küche vor sich ging, aber das Tempo war definitiv zu langsam. Daran erinnere ich mich auch von meinem ersten Besuch an einem Sonntagabend, als ich der einzige Gast war. Die Angestellten/Besitzer wirken sehr nett, und die Mitarbeiter im Gästeservice arbeiten tatsächlich hart. Was in diesem Restaurant aber wirklich stört, ist der unerwartet langsame Service. Auch das langsame Servieren der Getränke ist aus Kundensicht inakzeptabel, sollte aber auch für den Besitzer gelten, denn so lässt sich leicht Geld verdienen. Die Preise finde ich angesichts der eher kleinen Portionen ebenfalls recht hoch.

Das letzte Vom letzten ...wurden auch nach 20 Minuten Wartezeit nicht bedient . Personal darauf hingewiesen , hat auch nichts gebracht .Hatte mir einen dreckigen Aschenbecher vom Nebentisch geholt. Möchte nicht länger ausschweifefen , es waren nur die Hälfte, oder sogar weniger Tische besetzt Leider null Einsicht und sehr primitiv !

Der Tisch war dreckig als wir kamen. Wurde bis zum Ende auch nicht sauber gemacht. Bei anderen Tischen das Gleiche. Nach 17 Minuten haben wir unsere Bestellung aufgeben können. Die Getränke und das Essen kam in einem angemessenen Zeitraum. Der Salat mit Putenstreifen war von der Menge eher eine Vorspeise. Lieblos angerichtet und kein Dressing erkennbar oder zu schmecken. Das Schnitzel mit Kroketten war trocken, die Kroketten nicht durch und nicht oder nur sehr wenig gewürzt. Zusammenfassung: Die Wirtschaft ist nicht teuer, das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist dennoch nicht gut.

Leider nicht mehr wie früher – enttäuschend Wir waren letztes Jahr schon einmal hier, aber es hat sich einiges verändert. Das Menü wirkt anders und auch die allgemeine Atmosphäre ist nicht mehr dieselbe. Wir kamen in der Hoffnung auf hochwertige Gerichte, aber unsere Erwartungen wurden leider nicht erfüllt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat uns sehr enttäuscht. Für 25 € gab es eine kleine Portion Spätzle mit Fleisch. Das Gericht wurde verdächtig schnell serviert und hat leider gar nicht geschmeckt – besonders das Fleisch war wirklich mau. Der restliche Service war unfassbar langsam. Unsere leeren Biergläser blieben den ganzen Abend über auf dem Tisch stehen, selbst als der Nachtisch für unser Kind serviert wurde. Was uns zudem sehr gewundert hat: Der Kellner wusste nicht, welche der drei Dessert-Positionen überhaupt verfügbar sind, und hatte sogar Schwierigkeiten, uns die Eissorten zu nennen. Sehr schade, aber wir kommen wohl nicht wieder.

Ein wunderbarer Ort zum Mittagessen. Einfache, leckere Speisen und Getränke, eine gemütliche Atmosphäre und freundlicher Service, trotz unserer eher kläglichen Versuche, auf Deutsch zu bestellen. Vielen Dank für das köstliche Essen. Der Strudel war sehr lecker!

Speisekarte im Netz umfangreicher als in der Realität

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant mit großer Terrasse. Der Service war nett und schnell. Wir hatten Käsespätzle und Wurst Salat. Beides war lecker, ansprechend angerichtet und die Portionsgröße sättigend. Das Klosterstüble können wir uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Essen ok, nichts besonderes. Die Portionen sind sehr klein. Der Salat ist lieblos zusammengestellt. Die Bedienung ist nicht sehr freundlich. Sie scheinen zu wissen, dass sie aufgrund der Tagestouristen nicht auf Stammkundschaft angewiesen sind.

Portionen waren uns zu klein (für den Preis). Käsespätzle und Wildgulasch waren ok, nichts herausragendes. Wir fanden es für die Quali etwas teuer.

Ein kleines, aber feines Restaurant. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und höflich. Auf meine extra Wünsche wurde eingegangen und perfekt umgesetzt vom Küchenchef (Vielen dank dafür nochmal). Falls wir wieder mal in der Gegend sind gehen wir dort definitiv nochmal essen.

Wir haben das Restaurant besucht und gehen mit gemischten Gefühlen. Das Essen war geschmacklich okay, allerdings stehen die Preise in keinem Verhältnis zur gebotenen Qualität und den Portionsgrößen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier leider einfach nicht.Der Service war ausreichend. Die Bedienung war weder besonders aufmerksam noch unhöflich, sondern hat die Bestellung rein funktionell abgewickelt. Etwas mehr Gastfreundschaft wäre schön gewesen. Ein fader Beigeschmack blieb zudem bei der Abrechnung, da uns anstelle einer richtigen Rechnung nur ein Informationsbeleg an den Tisch gebracht wurde.Insgesamt eine durchschnittliche Erfahrung. Für das Preisniveau erwarten wir insgesamt einfach mehr.

Wir sind wegen den guten Bewertungen gekommen aber wurden leider enttäuscht. Wer auch immer in der Küche das Essen zubereitet, hat dort nichts zu suchen! Wie kann man nur einen einfachen Wurstsalat nicht hinbekommen? Geschmacklich eine Katastophe! Und Pommes zum Wurstsalat?! Naja wenigstens waren die Pommes gut.

Nachdem wir so viele schöne Fotos und Bewertungen gesehen hatten, gingen wir dort zum Abendessen. Das Ambiente ist stimmungsvoll, aber der Gordon Bleu war so verkocht, dass er überhaupt nicht mehr wie ein Gordon Bleu aussah – und das für 23,50 €! Das Fleisch hatte außerdem einen leicht säuerlichen Nachgeschmack. Also definitiv nicht frisch. Ich habe darauf hingewiesen, dass es nicht gut war. Sie haben sich tatsächlich bemüht, das Problem etwas zu beheben. Der Preis wurde halbiert. Das Gericht meines Mannes war auch nichts Besonderes. Und sie boten uns sogar noch ein paar Extras an. Mir ging es nicht um den Preis. Ich habe ein so hohes Trinkgeld gegeben, dass es fast den tatsächlichen Kosten entsprach, weil sie sich so bemüht hatten, das Problem zu lösen. Ich werde dort aber nicht mehr essen gehen.

Urchiges Lokal mit freundlicher Bedienung und gutem Essen.

Leider ein sehr enttäuschender Besuch. Wir mussten anfangs sehr lange warten, bis überhaupt jemand an unseren Tisch kam und uns die Speisekarte brachte. Das gelieferte Glas war leider dreckig. ​Auch beim Essen lief es nicht rund: Der Salat wurde komplett vergessen und kam erst nach einer Erinnerung. Die Portionen allgemein waren klein und die Pommes extrem versalzen. Auf Nachfrage nach Ketchup und Mayo bekamen wir für zwei Personen jeweils nur ein einziges Tütchen – ein halbes Tütchen pro Person ist dann doch etwas dürftig. ​Der Service war zwar nett, aber absolut nicht aufmerksam. Die leeren Teller wurden bis zum Schluss nicht abgeräumt und es wurde auch nicht gefragt, ob wir noch etwas bestellen möchten. Für dieses Erlebnis war es am Ende viel zu teuer. Schade, aber wir kommen nicht mehr wieder.

Ein klein wenig Kritik bzw. Verbesserungsvorschlag. Meine Frau hatte ein Rumpsteak mit Röstzwiebel bestellt. Das Fleisch war nach ihren Vorstellungen gegahrt. Es waren aber keine Röstzwiebel, sondern gedünstete Zwiebeln mit Soße. Wäre schön, wenn es auch Röstzwiebel wären. Ich habe noch das WC benutzt. Für mich war das Licht dort zu dunkel. Und an einem Türblatt hing der Umleimer weg. Das sind kleine Mängel die aber bestimmt schnell bewoben werden könnten.

Sehr gutes, liebevoll gestaltetes Restaurant. Übersichtliche Speisekarte und extra Kinderkarte. Hunde sind innen und außen willkommen. Preise sind angemessen und für jeden was dabei. Freundlicher Service versteht sich von selbst.

Dieses Restaurant überzeugt auf ganzer Linie. Die Speisen sind von ausgezeichneter Qualität, der Service ist erstklassig und das Ambiente äußerst angenehm. Das Personal begegnet den Gästen mit großer Freundlichkeit und Professionalität. Ein Besuch, den wir jederzeit mit Freude wiederholen werden.

Die neuen Wirte sind sehr engagiert und freundlich. Das Essen war einwandfrei und schnell da. Wir sind froh, dass es mit dem Klosterstüble weitergeht!

Essen war ok gut bürgerlich , Der Salat war fast ohne Dressing aber auf Nachfrage haben wir noch Dressing dazu bekommen, das Cordon Bleu war sehr gut und auch mit ordentlich Käse und Schinken gefüllt 👍

Waren heute das erste Mal zum Essen im Klosterstüble unter neuer Führung. Das war bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal. Wir waren mit allem sehr zufrieden. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.

Unfortunately, you have to pay extra if you order fried potatoes instead of spaetzle. However, if you don't get the spaetzle, you still have to pay for it... Lousy service and long wait times are also a factor...

Overall, delicious food with good value for money and friendly service. One star deducted for the "side salad"; I've never seen such rubbish outside of a cafeteria. Two shreds of iceberg lettuce with barely any dressing and a spoonful of raw vegetables. All the surrounding restaurants offer much better options, both visually and in terms of taste. It's a shame, because the rest of the food was very tasty.

Lots of delicious, local, and affordable. It's fries and schnitzel or local pasta, but tasty and inexpensive.

We've been twice. The first time we had a great time, the food was truly excellent! The second time we returned with a reservation made through our hotel. Unfortunately, they had assigned us a sunny spot, and it was scorching hot, and in our group there was a person who had just come out of the hospital. We asked to eat inside or somewhere in the shade, and we were rudely told no. So we left. What a shame. The food was truly delicious. The waitress was kind, but unfortunately the owner wasn't at all!

It's unassuming from the outside and a bit dated on the inside, too. However, both the service and the food were unexpectedly good. Regardless of the dish, we were all very impressed!

We won't be back. A complete disaster. All of our meals were even worse than expected, and we weren't expecting much from the outside and the smoking chef in the entrance. We haven't had such a bad meal in a long time... and for such a hefty price, too. The only thing that remains is the smell of the deep fryer on our clothes. A case for Rach the restaurant savior.

Great place and unironical highlight of our stay in Schönwald. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself felt cozy and familiar. The service was quick, and we had nothing to complain about. We had the beef liver, which had a side of salad and fried potatoes, and Käsespätzle, which also came with salad. I'd recommend both! Quaint, Swabian restaurant with traditional dishes. Friendly and personable service, Maultaschen and cordon bleu are highly recommended. The turkey schnitzel is not for those who are very hungry, the portion is too small for that.

What used to be fantastic... is unfortunately no longer true... I miss the old Klosterstüble with good food and a different standard. Sry, unfortunately I can't recommend it anymore... anyway, all the best to you... it's just a shame that good things are lost... I really hope you (Klosterstüble team) get the hang of things. Don't turn it into a bar/pub....! It's not great for children to see drunk people hanging over the bar and loudly sharing their opinions... With that in mind... take care of yourselves and I hope you accept the criticism and maybe do something about it...

We were probably unlucky that evening and had to wait almost 3 hours with our 3 children for the food, which didn't correspond to what was actually ordered. We would have liked better communication and not been presented with a fait accompli little by little. The only thing that saved us the evening was the company of our friends and their children.

Mega delicious food. Had the best cheese spetzle I've ever eaten and had already tried a few. The owners are really cool, relaxed people. We haven't felt this comfortable in a long time. Keep it up and stay that way.

We were only there for a beer and a tea as we were kindly given shelter during the rain shower. Very lovingly furnished and the owners are helpful in every way. We would go there any time if there was a free spot. Be sure to reserve 👍🏼

Small, quaint, nice, tasty, great simple food and drinks - that's what you really enjoy on vacation

Very friendly staff, you immediately feel at home. Everything was really great. Salad buffet is not overcrowded, but it doesn't have to be. There were cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, corn - all very fresh and a very nice green, fresh salad at the start. Salad dressing, not the 0/8/15 mayo sauce, but really homemade, very tasty. If you want, you can also use the classic vinegar and oil. For the main course we had cordon bleu with fries, both on point, fries nice and crispy and s'pfännle. Plus 4x0.5 of dark beer. All in all top notch, always happy. Luckily, as locals we don't have to go far!

Just bad. Apparently the reviews don't match what we experience today. I would forego a visit. We had schnitzel, cordon bleu and spaetzle pan. Unfortunately everything was inedible. I'm just not used to that in the Black Forest.
