Restaurant Kim Son in Bösdorf

The staff is very friendly! The ambiance is still in its infancy… a blend of 70s restaurant charm with a touch of Asia. The fried vegetables—consisting of onions, Chinese cabbage, canned mushrooms, pineapple, and bell peppers (mostly raw, as my husband told me I can't tolerate bell peppers) were overcooked and dripping in a sweet and sour liquid. Note: The vegetables should have been fried…! We won't be coming back.

The service was completely overwhelmed. They couldn't even remember or write down what you ordered. The website still says they offer a lunch and dinner buffet, but unfortunately, you're disappointed. Unfortunately, after the coronavirus pandemic, that's no longer available. The ambiance was completely bare. Just yellow walls, no pictures, and much more. There were five of us and we were extremely disappointed. We had to wait almost an hour for our food. And in the kitchen, you could sometimes hear the family arguing.

Never again. The tables are so dirty you can still see what was eaten a week ago. We had a fingernail on the table. Everything in the dining room is old and dirty, and you get stuck to the floor. The food tastes okay, but sometimes it's way too greasy.

The service was friendly and attentive, but the atmosphere of the restaurant was rather uncomfortable. It had a somewhat waiting room-like feel. The food was rather mediocre. Some of the dishes on the buffet weren't kept warm, and the refrigeration unit made noises that were very annoying. Update 8/12/2025: I have to revise my previous opinion. We ate here again in a long time, and we were thrilled. The staff, just like last time, were very friendly and attentive, and everyone in our group really enjoyed the food. We really enjoyed being able to sit outside in this wonderful weather. We would love to come back!

According to other reviews, it's probably better to come in the evening. We were here at 2 p.m. to have a quick bite before moving on. The wontons were huge, greasy pieces of spring roll pastry with tiny fillings. The spring rolls were tasteless, seemingly filled with glass noodles. Definitely a convenience store. The sweet and sour soup was tasty. The restaurant was run-down and in need of renovation, which doesn't excuse the fact that there are tons of dead insects in the curtains. The waitresses shuffled noisily through the restaurant. It's a shame; the dessert corner next door would have been better. We won't be back.

We were really pleasantly surprised by how good the food and service were. Given the location right next to the campsite, we didn't know what to expect. The portions were generous, and the value for money was absolutely spot on. When we asked for cutlery to take with us, they gave us proper cutlery because they didn't want to send us off without it. We had spicy duck and fried noodles for lunch. Everything was delicious and there was plenty of it. The service was very polite and relaxed. We can recommend it without reservation.

A rather unassuming restaurant from the outside, but I was still very pleasantly surprised. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. I had chicken fried rice. The portions were very generous, and they certainly didn't prioritize quantity over quality. I would recommend it anytime.

We stopped here for lunch on a Tuesday during a bike ride around Lake Plön (many restaurants here are closed on Tuesdays). There was an inexpensive lunch menu, and we ordered from it. The service was good and very friendly. The food was good. I didn't like the ambiance so much; it was a bit dull. But it was a good choice for a lunch break.

My favorite restaurant in Plön. The atmosphere is okay, tidy, clean but not particularly typical of the country. But that's not why I go there; I go for the food. And it's always great. Always fresh, crisp vegetables, delicious 😋. The price-performance ratio is top-notch. No problems with flavor enhancers, such as MSG - in my case. I've never experienced any typical side effects here; I don't think they use any. Large portions, low prices, and they've even added rice on request at no extra charge. Kim Sön is always worth it and I'm happy to recommend it. I've dragged all my friends and acquaintances here 🤣 and everyone was thrilled with the food, service, and price. The service is friendly, attentive, and fast. Never change a running system. It can stay the way it is; I eat there regularly. I would be happy if there was a buffet maybe once a month as a special promotion, with information in the newspaper, text message, flyer, or online, because I've never experienced a buffet there before, even if it's advertised as an offer on the website.

The Kim Sön restaurant has now established itself in the community. The lighthouse has always been a symbol of the naval non-commissioned officer school located next to it. The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere, with very friendly service. The menu is pleasantly reduced and clear, but offers something for every taste, including vegetarian dishes. The food is freshly prepared and served on the table after a short wait. The portions are gigantic. We've never managed to finish eating. It goes without saying that the remaining leftovers are packed up. It's usually enough to have a full meal the next day.

Even if the restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside or inside, the food is delicious and the service is friendly. It's not top-class cuisine, and certainly not a Michelin-starred restaurant, but when it comes to the food, it's really very good. A good lunch menu.

A wonderful Vietnamese couple who run the business lovingly and impeccably. The former lighthouse in the 1970s, a wicked and violent dive bar run by the marines and pioneers, continues to operate like this. We like to eat at Kim Sön's and the prices are reasonable too. Sincerely, The Buttje

Absolute insider tip!!! Portions huge! Everything fresh and top quality! We had lunch. A starter that was already very good, then the crispy duck, which is not even offered for lunch in other restaurants (!), It was SUPER delicious!! The very nice man who brought the food does his job with love and passion. Simply everything is TOP! We'll be back!

It was our first time there and the outdoor area was already well attended. The waitress who took the order had a kind word for every guest. The waiter and also the cook of the house were very nice. We decided on a portion of wonton and 2x beef with onions and I was worried that the meat would be tough and hard. The opposite was the case. It was so tender and tasted absolutely delicious. The vegetables were freshly prepared. The portion size is great. There are parking spaces right in front of the door and it is also easy to access with a walker or wheelchair. We paid €49.80 for the meal and two large Alster waters. That's a fair price. Another plus - there was also a bowl of water for our dog.

The restaurant is in the back of the building, and there is a bar/café at the front on the main street. There are tables outside and inside, everything a bit dingy. We were there for lunch at the beginning of August, there was NO buffet. The lunch menu was very cheap at 9.90 euros per dish including soup of the day. Food was okay and tasty. It is a one-man operation, the chef also serves, no other staff were on site at lunchtime. Unfortunately there were many tables occupied and it took a long time.

We were here with our bikes last night (we were at the Gut RuhLeben campsite). Map has sufficient selection Price performance okay. There wasn't much going on, the terrace was unfortunately closed due to the weather. Service was friendly and nice, but unfortunately not attentive - we had to go to the counter for the second beer. We also had to draw attention to ourselves to pay, even though she walked past us four times without looking. Normally we would have drunk more. Delicious and freshly prepared food. Ambience so-so... Free seats. But we would still recommend it accordingly.

We sat comfortably inside. The food (fried noodles with chicken) was very good and plenty. The starters were OK but not quite our cup of tea. Points are deducted for the very long waiting time. It took longer from being asked to pay to actually paying than from arriving to eating. Then the bill was just handed to us and the waitress went to the next table to collect even though we already had the card out and had asked beforehand. Our child almost fell asleep at the table and there was chatter with the other guests before we could leave. Unfortunately, this really spoiled our impression of the restaurant.

Good dinnerware with good variations

Due to a previous visit, we arranged our stay at CP Ruhleben so that we could visit Kim Son for dinner. As previously reported, the food was very tasty, large portions and freshly prepared. On our first visit we had the daily menu, now off the menu. We can only recommend the restaurant.

Locally close to the campsite. The restaurant was also open on our requested date. The owner is the cook, waitress and cashier all in one person, or so it seemed to us. Everything was ready, served very quickly and tasted great. Portion and price absolutely okay. An absolute recommendation.

We were really impressed with the food on our first visit today. A wonderful homemade sweet and sour soup, a large homemade spring roll and baked banana were simply delicious. However, when I saw my companion's vegetables with curry sauce and rice, I was almost annoyed that I didn't order a main course. What was a bit surprising, however, was that you were served by the chef himself, but that definitely shouldn't be taken as a negative thing, quite the opposite. And a lot of respect for being able to do something so well on your own. Conclusion: I would like to eat more often if I lived near here. But unfortunately almost 500 km of travel is a bit too far to consider the restaurant as a regular Chinese restaurant.

We often get food from Kim Sön and can just give 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Delicious food, friendly operator, simply great👍🏻 we have been fans for a long time and will remain so🫶🏻

The restaurant is a little hidden but the small lighthouse of the neighboring café is a good guide to find the right turn. The food always tastes very good and the atmosphere is pretty relaxed.

Waren gestern Abend zu Viert im Restaurant à la Carte essen und jedes Gericht war absolut lecker .Es wird auf Wünsche eingegangen , wie zum Bsp. bei mir , keine Schärfe im Essen . Seit langem das beste asiatische Essen , was wir gegessen haben. Wir kommen definitiv sehr gerne wieder .

Wir sind hier auf dem Campingplatz Augsfelde, wir haben hier schon 2 mal gegessen, das Essen ist reichlich, schmeckt sehr gut, deswegen sind wir wieder hier her gefahren. Das Essen ist so lecker. Zu jedem Besuch in Plön gehört ein Mittagessen in diesem Restaurant.

Was für ein tolles Essen. Eine ganz grosse Einman Show. Alle dieses Urteil lesen, es ist Sünde das hier keiner arbeiten möchte. Das Bürgergeld ist wohl doch zu hoch.

Es ist schön zu sehen, dass es immer noch asiatische Restaurants in Deutschland gibt, die nicht nur die Massen abfertigen wollen. Die Gerichte schmecken nicht nach übermäßig viel Soja Sauce oder Glutamat sondern schmecken nach mehr. Eine klare Empfehlung für jeden Freund der aistaischen Küche.

Wir waren total begeistert. Es war einfach sehr lecker 😋 😋 😋. Schon lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen. Solche Restaurant findet man leider nur noch sehr selten, weil sie oftmals von den großen Buffethäusern verdrängt werden.

Sobald für uns die Campingsaison beginnt gehen wir hier essen. Das Essen war wie immer sehr lecker! Hier wird noch mit frischen Zutaten ( nichts aus der Dose und kein Friteusenfleisch ) gekocht. Der Chef kocht hier noch mit Leidenschaft. Natürlich sind die Preise auch hier gestiegen, aber für diese Qualität an Essen völlig gerechtfertigt. Ich wünschte er würde sein Restaurant bei uns auf Fehmarn aufmachen. Auch der Service war wie immer sehr herzlich. Wer hier mal essen war, wird mir Recht geben.

Das Ambiente ist einfach gehalten aber trotzdem gemütlich und familiär. Das Essen war 1a. Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung. Wir werden nicht nur wegen der fairen Preise wieder kommen.👍

Also... eigentlich schlaf ich über sowas ne Nacht...aber: Nee...das kann ich mir nicht ,,gut schlafen". Homepage versprach ,,Mittags-Buffet" ...gab es nicht. Wie schon in anderen Rezensionen beschrieben, wirkt alles dort ein wenig überholungsbedürftig. Da jedoch der Betrieb in dem Lokal um die Mittagsstunde nicht so dolle war, denke ich mal, daß Investionen nicht wirklich möglich sind. Jetzt aber mal was Positives: Ganz ehrlich,, Ente pikant" 11,90€ und ein Mittagstisch - Gericht , daß man nicht aufessen kann: Respekt!!! Meiner Frau ging es nicht anders. Nur darum: ZWEI Sterne

Der Chef Koch hochprofessionell . Es schmeckt alles lecker. Huhn im Curry oder Ente mit Ananas zu empfehlen. WAN Thang Suppe und Frühlings Rolle schmeckt sehr gut. Große Portionen und leckeres Bier.

This restaurant should seriously be inspected and licensed reviewed. I have never has a worse experience in my life. If this restaurant was in France it would be closed immediately and they would have to make serious changes. There was one staff, who was cook, server, greeting clients and generally doing everything with just one pair of blue gloves. Nothing withstanding the COVID pandemic never changed these and was cooking, serving taking cash and doing all with the same pair of gloves. In addition when one of the groups left the table not too far from us, the same individual while cleaning the table proceeded to blow off the dust on the hot plate instead of disinfecting it . Not to mention we completely lost our appetite and could not eat any of the food which was overcooked duck, and my local hosts who knew this restaurant in its former glory when it would immediately receive a 4 or 5 star were mortified. We left the restaurant hungry, and the only point of merit was the fact they provided everywhere bottles of alcoholic gel for hands.

Am Sonnabend waren wir mit Gästen (4Personen) um 18 Uhr angemeldet. Nach der Bestellung dauerte es 45 Minuten bis wir die Getränke bekamen. Nach 105 Minuten war immer noch kein Essen bei uns am Tisch, aber telefonisch bestellte Essen wurden ständig ausgeliefert zum Abholen. Wir haben am Tresen nachgefragt: ja, er könne unser Essen vor fast zwei Stunden bestelltes Esssen gleich machen, gleich bedeutet bei ihm in zwanzig Minuten! Also Essen nach mehr als zweieinviertel Stunden! Wir waren nicht die einzigen, die lange warten mussten. Er bot uns an, auf das Essen zu verzichten, das haben wir dann auch getan. Kein Wort der Entschuldigung und kein Wort bei der Bestellung, dass es eventuell länger dauern könne! Außerdem behauptete er, wir seien erst um 19 Uhr gekommen, was wir mit der LUCA App widerlegen konnten. Das ist eine FRECHHEIT! Wenn ihr es wagen solltet, trotzdem dort zu essen, dann lasst euch einen Serviertermin sagen und geht, wenn der nicht eingehalten wird. So ein Restaurant verdinet Null Sterne, was leider nicht geht.

Das Restaurant ist im hinteren Teil des Gebäudes, vorne an der Hauptstraße ist eine Bar/Caffee. Es gibt Tische Draußen und Drinnen, alles etwas schmuddelig. Wir waren Anfang August zum Mittagstisch da, es gab KEIN Buffet wie beworben. Mittagstischkarte war mit 7,90 Euro pro Gericht incl.Tagessuppe sehr günstig. Essen war okay und lecker. Es ist ein 1 Mann Betrieb, der Koch serviert auch, weiteres Personal war Mittags nicht vor Ort. Es waren auch nur 3 Tische besetzt. Fazit: Billig Mittagessen, aber Buffet iss nicht mehr.(jedenfalls jetzt Anfang August 2021 war es so).
