Good service. We had olives with bread beforehand. Unfortunately, my chicken wasn't cooked well and had to be returned. It came back with less sauce, which was a shame. The pizza also lacked the flavor of Gorgonzola. For the prices, everything should be right. In my experience, they always offer an espresso or a shot – unfortunately, not here.

Beautiful restaurant! The food came quickly, and the portions were generous and nicely presented. You feel comfortable and can eat in peace. We'd be happy to go back!

We were here for the first time yesterday at lunch. A friend was having a birthday party. The menu has a wide selection. The food was plentiful and the prices were reasonable. The service was very friendly and joked around. We'll definitely be back!

You feel truly at home there. The food is excellent. The staff are very friendly and attentive. You're welcomed with open arms. Despite the restaurant being full, we didn't have to wait long, either for drinks or for food. Customer satisfaction is the top priority at this restaurant. I would even give it 10 points if I could. This restaurant is in my top five!

We've been there twice so far. The first time we were very happy with the food, we really liked it. The service was also okay, but you can see right away that they have a different approach to their regular customers. The second time, however, the food tasted a bit less good to us. And the most annoying thing was that the waiter kept hanging around our table, but in such an intrusive way as if he wanted to either rush us or help us eat. We got the impression that he was about to walk into our table. It was so annoying that we rushed out and gave up on dessert.

Extremely unfriendly and rude boss. A restaurant with poor service and pizza floating in water. lack of cooperation and service when we complained about the pizza quality. This was in liquid sauce, some of which was as clear as water. We received an insulting boss who refused to talk to us and insisted on paying for the pizza even though we didn't eat it and let it go back. Worst restaurant experience ever.

I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for years and especially order meals for myself to pick up on evenings when I am home alone. This always worked very, very well and, above all, quickly and I was ALWAYS able to pay by card. So yesterday I thought to myself that I would like to order something to pick up for myself and a friend because the restaurant was full and reservations were no longer possible. A very young-sounding gentleman answered the phone and greeted me very annoyed. (I didn't take this as a direct negative because I already knew from trying to make an online reservation that it was full.) When I ordered a pizza, he rudely told me "in the bar!" I replied: “I ALWAYS pay with your card, unfortunately I don’t have any cash at home now.” He: “only works from €30.00” Me: “Oh, since when did that happen?” Him: “Always” So I explained to him that I had been regularly paying amounts by card for years that were under €30.00. He told me that this could never have been the case and that I was talking nonsense. I then canceled the ordering process. I found this very unfortunate because I know the service here to be very different! Always friendly and accommodating and never had a problem with payment methods under €30.00. I would have understood if he had told me that they had recently introduced this regulation. But since he only gave the curt answer “ALWAYS”, it’s a real shame for me.

We had a great evening with the family. Yes, the dishes are not cheap, but in our opinion they are worth every euro and of a quality that we have rarely seen. The 12 of us had a colorful mix of dishes across all courses and across the entire menu.

Also 4cl 27,80€.Der Hammer.Hochgerechnet 450€ Flasche. Ok weiter mit Getränken.Erste Runde waren zwei Bier zwei Wein.Alles gut.Zweite runde wollte ich einen wein wie aus der ersten Runde. Wein kam war nicht der Richtige.Er tauschte diesen und brachte den Richtigen.Problem ,der falsche Wein stand mit auf der Rechnung.Schade. Meine Frau hatte Pizza mit Garnelen ging gar nicht.Die Garnelen hatten einen starken Geruch konnte Mann nicht essen.Also alles heruntergepickt und weiter. Ja und wie schon jemand geschrieben hat die Pasta Portionen sehr klein. Also ohne Vorspeisen oder Nachgang wird man nicht satt. Preislich einfach zu teuer für das was man bekommt.Schade. Bedienung war freundlich da gab es gar keine Beanstandungen.

Big attention!!! If you are offered a grappa before your meal, you should not think that it is a welcome drink... In the end, it can get expensive, namely a whopping €13.90 for 0.02 ml. We enjoyed visiting you, but now never again.

We kwamen hier terecht omdat het restaurant op loopafstand van ons hotel lag. We werden zeer vriendelijk ontvangen en het personeel had er echt plezier in het ons naar de zin te maken. Buiten de kaart werden ons mosselen aanbevolen en die waren fantastisch. Net als de desserts én het glaasje Amaretto van het huis.

Went there with family and were treated very unfriendly when ordering. The drinks came a quarter of an hour after ordering and the food wasn't served to everyone at about the same time during the main course. Only when we asked when the last pizza would arrive was it made quickly and this is what it looked like. Very watery pizza scampi. Unfortunately we had to give it back and then the waiter just replied cheekily, “But you’ll pay for it”. Wow what a friendly waiter. Price performance and the unfriendliness only allow one star here. But everyone should make up their own minds. This one waiter won't be there every day.

Unfortunately, it wasn't a pleasant restaurant experience, it's not the customer who is king here - it's the owner's desire to maximize sales. Even when ordering the drinks you felt rushed. Anyone who makes the mistake and lets themselves be talked into a “small” antipasti and some bruschetta shouldn't get ahead of themselves be surprised by an expensive meal (this is the first time you have the feeling of being taken advantage of), be careful before ordering a daily special (which is not written on a board with the price as usual, but was spread verbally - be sure to ask for the price - with us It was by far more expensive than the most expensive one on the menu, which you don't know either)

I was just there. We made a reservation... but had to wait until a table became available. Then we had to wait 30 minutes until food and drinks could be ordered. In between we were asked if we could change tables. A reason wasn't said but it was apparent for the guests who pay more. Then we had to wait over an hour for the food. It took another 45 minutes until we received the bill after requesting it. I have never experienced what I experienced there. The standard was an abnormally high 10 under any level. Even after setting out who had to pay for which meal, the bill didn't work out

Nice restaurant and nice staff, but I don't always find the price/performance ratio commensurate, especially with the starters. I've heard several times that drinks/food are brought that weren't even ordered and then you find them in the final bill at some point, if you don't reject them... So be careful! You'll need to be lucky with parking as the restaurant is in a residential area.

Unfortunately not a particularly good impression. Pizza bread is served as “focaccia” and there is no customer-friendly response to inquiries. I found the prices quite ambitious. No recommendation.

Good restaurant with delicious food

What I find to be a mess here is that people park on residents' footpaths so that you have to walk around the car or on the street. I live here myself and every evening the cars are simply parked where it's not allowed, the employees don't do anything or the company owner does anything.

Before ordering we asked if we could pay by card, which we were told. When paying, it was said that card payments were only possible from €30. In a restaurant? After we specifically asked. I'm sorry, but this is unacceptable. Regardless, we got drinks once. No questions were asked again. Service is really different. But I found the card payment thing the worst. I had to borrow money from a friend.

You definitely have to have been there. Haven't enjoyed Italian cuisine so well in a long time.

Beautiful restaurant in a quiet location with charming checked tablecloths. 😊 beautiful outdoor area, friendly staff, great dishes - prepared with love and dedication. We were there in a large group and everything was served at the same time. As a little tip: if it is mentioned that there is fresh tuna on offer today - grab it straight away! For me, the best tuna steak I've ever eaten! I was in seventh heaven. But the menu also has so many great dishes to offer that it's really difficult to decide. Thanks and keep it up. 👍🏻 Edit: I visited Il Castello again and I just have to say: for me, the very best Italian ever. Short vacation in the middle of Merseburg, excellent quality and staff who simply make you feel comfortable. And I'll just say it again: the tuna is to die for. Another edit: I now love going there with all my friends because it's always the best choice for meeting friends. We love the ambience, the friendly and warm staff and the simply always excellent food. And after many, many visits, I can say: we have NEVER been disappointed. Nobody was ever unfriendly, everything always worked out wonderfully from the reservation to the invoice where everything was always correct, everything came on time and promptly and was always delicious.

I have no idea whether anyone here is Italian or not, but hospitable is something different. The food was ok, but it doesn't necessarily make us want to come back. I don't want to write more because the photos give a better impression than the taste.

Way too long waiting time despite few customers and plenty of attentive friendly waiters. Waited 1 hour for the food. Even after moving we had to wait. The food was weldone! Read about fried and boiled.

There was no sign of it anywhere, no sign, no sticker. This is not acceptable in this day and age! We were there for the last time, absolutely not recommended!

This was our fourth time here and it was always delicious and the service was top notch. An absolute must. Highly, highly, highly recommended!

The restaurant is very close to our apartment. Unfortunately, there were only three of us celebrating my parents' 65th wedding anniversary on May 17, 2024. The food and service were very good. We had booked a table, but it wasn't that crowded at lunchtime. The waiter filleted my father's fish at the table, which worked very well. However, the furniture is already a bit old.
