Restaurant Himalaya in Berlin

Our family’s favorite Indian restaurant. Food is so good, so so yummy, my British friends when visiting us want to order food from them every single day. My favorite is Butter Chicken and they make it so perfect!!!!! The owners are super friendly and service is fantastic. I wish them all of the success, they deserve it so much, and this is rare gem in Berlin.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Charlottenburg! The Butter Chicken and Butter Paneer (made on request) are outstanding. We also enjoyed the Bhature, mini bhatures, samosas and fresh mango lassi. Great food with warm service and always a satisfying experience.

I was blown away by the freshness of the ingredients. You can tell the chef really cares about quality. Highly recommend

crazy good restaurant like really really good

I've enjoyed eating at this Indian restaurant over the past few years whenever I was nearby. Yesterday, three of us went there, and the quality has declined significantly. We ate two palak paneer dishes and one dal, and after the palak paneer, we both had a sleepless night with diarrhea. In all three meals, the rice was still very hard, and the flavor had also diminished considerably. The chai tasted absolutely nothing like what I was used to from previous visits. Perhaps the chef has changed? The service was very unsympathetic, and even though the place was almost empty, it took forever for her to take our order. The only thing that's right is the price, but I'd rather pay more and get good quality. We won't be going there again, and I can't recommend it.

The food is really good and always tastes very fresh and authentic, while the service is good. I especially love their Mater Paneer and they have a nice variety. The interior is cozy and cute with nice seats.

We've loved going here for years. Always delicious and reasonably priced. I especially appreciate that they have a kids' menu, which they absolutely love!

After making an easy reservation online, we were warmly welcomed. The food selection was extensive and there was something for everyone. We were served quickly. Everyone enjoyed it. Really very tasty and freshly prepared! Price-performance is top. We'd love to come back.

Tasted great, no frozen food, nothing from the retort. Everything is live and prepared and cooked on site. Haven't found anything better in Berlin and Brandenburg!!!!!

We had chole bhature and mango lassi here. The food was top notch. Tasted exactly like homemade food.

I don’t know why this restaurant has 4.5 stars. It’s really shameful to call this Indian food. I’m so sad was so happy to get food and now I lost 40 bucks because this food is not edible. You should not have a restaurant

best Indian food I've had in Berlin!

The food was brilliant and very fresh, we almost fell off our chairs given the low prices. So value for money is really great!👍 Big recommendation. The service employee was very friendly and accommodating. Small note on the side, payment can only be made in cash!

Visited this place one evening for dinner and the overall experience was just ok at best. The area just as you enter looked so unkept and gave a vibe like the staff could care less about how the restaurant looks. In food, the lychee lassi and the mutton tikka tasted good but the mutton biryani was just too bad. It was just a mix of random spices and an excessive amount of nuts which tasted nothing like biryani and hence too hard to digest . If a little interest is shown towards improving the ambiance and service then I’m sure this place would do much much better.

pathetic service, no staff will entertain you, food is good although but you need to go and ask everytime even if you need something extra in middle.

Pathetic service… we went for a dinner no one gives attention..we have to go to the kitchen for our order and to order next food… all attention was only on online orders…although few customers come and go by seeing the atmosphere…

Ordered here as I wanted to give a new place a try and the reviews were good. Sadly, this was the most boring and bland food I've had and definitely the worst Indian food I've had. The sauce of the Malai Kofta tasted more like some weird and boring tomato soup and the kofta balls were rough and not tasty at all. Bhatura bread wasn't really fluffy and the Paneer Pakoras were merely okay. I don't like to waste food but this was so disappointing that I did not want to finish my meal and I threw the rest away.

Paneer pakoda were not crunchy and Even bhatura were not pluffy. Curries were okay but not authentic. Unlike other restaurants, you don’t get separate curry bowl or salat plate… You will get everything in a single plate, rice/bhatura + curry + salat for 8-9 euros.

Qualität der Speisen hervorragend, besonders die unterschiedlichen Gewürze und Saucen. Persönlich geführter Familienbetrieb, sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Immer wieder gern zu Gast.

Bewertung zu einer Lieferbestellung über Lieferando: Gutes Chicken Curry und leckeres Naan. Hier kann man echt nichts falsch machen! Ein kleiner Salat ist beim Hauptgericht dabei. Preis/Leistung stimmt (insb. niedriger Mindestbestellwert bei Lieferung).

I always come here with my partner when we’re looking to eat Indian. Consistent, cheap and always received very friendly service. I highly recommend if you’re in the area and want somewhere to eat for a very reasonable price and good portion sizes. A hidden gem of Charlottenburg.

5 Sterne für das superleckere Essen, Service könnte noch etwas aufmerksamer sein. Hühnchen und Lamm sowie das Brot waren hervorragend.

Tolles Essen, die Schärfe kann man immer selber variieren. Das Bhatura ist auch super lecker. Wir gehen fast immer hier zum Essen vorbei, wenn wir in der Nähe sind. Einfach lecker !

Ein klassischer Inder. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Preise vergleichsweise günstig. Das Restaurant ist relativ klein. Auch das Ambiente ist nicht ganz gemütlich. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne und bisher hat es immer sehr gut geschmeckt.

Super Service und Qualität des Essens war bisher immer top. Ob direkt im Restaurant oder per Lieferung, Essen schmeckt uns immer gut. Lokal ist auch immer recht gut besucht, man findet aber immer einen Platz. Preise sind super. Wir kommen wieder.

Das Essen hat geschmeckt. Das Bhaturabrot schmeckte leider nach den anderen Essen, die mit dem gleichen Fett vorher fritiert worden waren. Der Service war anfangs sehr gut, aber nach dem Essen ließ er sich kaum blicken und war sehr langsam.

Leckeres Essen, großzügige Portionen und familiäre Atmosphäre. Alles wird frisch zubereitet, das merkt man auf jeden Fall. Die Preise sind unglaublich niedrig (knappe 37€ zu dritt, noch mit Vorspeisen und Getränken!). Echt klasse.

Meine Frau und ich sind teilweise wegen guten Bewertungen in dieses Restaurant gegangen, aber waren leider nicht so begeistert. Meine Frau hat kalten Reis bekommen. Mein Reis war nicht kalt, und ich fand das Essen OK, aber nichts besonders. Personal war ansonsten freundlich.

Das Himalaya mit Imbissflair ist sehr lecker für das was man zahlt. Ich esse sehr gerne Fleisch, aber hier schmecken mir sogar die vegaterischen Gerichte -> Pindi Chana. Das Hühnerfleisch ist nicht so mein Fall, dann eher Lamm. Die Soßen sind fast alle gut, ob Korma, Madras etc. Als Tipp: fragt nach der grünen scharfen Paste. Die ist echt scharf, aber superlecker und peppt das Essen nochmal auf. Ne Portion Raita und Samosas dazu und ich bin happy
