Restaurant Hermes in Barntrup

We liked the food, better than most other Greeks, and the quality was also good. For the 5th star it could have been a little more "special"... but it was good! The price fits today. The service was friendly, ouzo on the house was included and was a bit reminiscent of eating in Tarvernen on vacation. The ladies just seemed a bit rushed and strained, so a bit of warmth was missing. Maybe because there were several groups there. It is a former large village restaurant. The restaurant makes a well-kept impression. The little pub too. Football is also shown there. The landlord was friendly and open, even though we weren't from the town and it was our first time there. This is not always the case in the villages. There's also a hall and bowling alley, but we can't say anything about it. We liked it. We go there again, sometimes to eat, sometimes to watch football.

The evening was nice...food tasted very good...but one star deduction is for the starter salad...absolutely loveless and tasteless...there was a salad like that in the 80s...that's what I expect nowadays more...

I was there with several people and the food was good and warm enough. At first the drinks came very quickly and when the restaurant got fuller, unfortunately it took a long time. Nevertheless, I was very satisfied. I had the ouzo plate. Unfortunately, because there was an event in the store that evening, you couldn't order any sauce with it and the dish was a little dry.

Almost nothing on the menu for vegetarians. The casserole is very cheese-heavy. Side salad beans with cabbage, without sauce. Already eaten better.

It wasn't our first time there. We are happy every time we are in the area to eat here again. Eleni (that's what the boss is called) is always friendly and very keen to see her guests happy. Everyone who works there is also very attentive and friendly. We'll definitely come back for dinner.

Dogs not allowed, but ours was still with us and didn't bother anyone. Our Greek restaurant has more pep, verve, and not as boring as here.

Food tasted great but was just not as we asked for. It is not comfortable to sit on the bistro chairs. They are very pushy to drink. It's just not comfortable, but it is very expensive for what you get.

We were there for the first time. The waitress (or owner?) left us speechless with how unkindly she treated us. Two other waiters also served us, one of whom was similarly unfriendly. Only one of the three waiters was super nice and friendly, he gets one star. The second star goes to the delicious gyros. The suflaki was super dry and chewy and the salad also left a lot to be desired. We only got our food after 1 hour and 20 minutes, but our plates were cleared away after 15 minutes while some of us were still eating. A few guests who came after us got their food before us. Do the good reviews come from regular customers or acquaintances in the area?

I ate here on Friday based on recommendations. Unfortunately I didn't like it that much. I had a portion of tzatziki first and the ouzo plate as my main course. The salad was very carelessly prepared. A bit of coleslaw, a bit of leaf lettuce, beans and a pepperoni and an olive. I would have liked a few more grated carrots, tomato and cucumber slices and maybe a dressing. I liked the tzatziki. However, the bread was sliced ​​much too thickly; you could have easily gotten two slices out of it. Then came the main course. The fries and Suzuki were delicious. The gyro was okay too. The taste of the suflaki was also delicious, but unfortunately it was quite tough. There was salsa sauce with the fries! In my opinion, this doesn't go well with fries at all. Here I would have liked mayo or ketchup. Finally, you should note that card payments are not possible! All in all, the price-performance ratio wasn't right and I probably won't come back.

Because of the good reviews, I went to eat here with my girlfriend today...the salad was bland and served like it was twenty years ago. The meat was dry and tough...the rice had a strange consistency. Unfortunately I won't be coming back...the service should work on being more friendly...

Food was very tasty. Only the portion of tzatziki has become smaller, for 4.80 euros, perhaps a little too little.

Immer die beste Qualität! Große Portionen, preislich top im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants. Das Essen kommt innerhalb 10 Minuten von super freundlichem und strahlendem Personal! Das Ouzo vom Haus vor und nach dem Essen - top! Jeder der das nicht glaubt muss selbst einmal zu Hermes :) Es lohnt in jedem Falle!

Wir durften unseren sehr kleinen und nicht haarenden Hund (Allergiker Hund) nicht mit rein nehmen. Preise der Vorspeisen waren für die Portionsgröße ziemlich happig und der gebackene Schafskäse wirkte sehr wie Fertigprodukt :/ Preis Leistung hat irgendwie nicht so ganz gestimmt

Das Essen war wie beim Griechen hier im Deutschland der 70er Jahre. Gyros war ok, Souflaki zäh und „totgebraten“, Tzaziki hat wie Magerquark geschmeckt. Der Beilagensalat war phantasielos, Bohnen aus der Konserve. Wenn man sich einen Döner auf die Hand holt, hat man bessere Qualität und das erheblich günstiger. Das Ambiente hat den Charakter einer Dorfkneipe. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Keine Kartenzahlung möglich, Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt nicht.

Sehr netter Empfang während einer Radtourpause. Gute gekühlte Getränke. Angemessene Beratung bei der Speisenauswahl. Haben uns aufgehoben gefühlt.

Wir waren Heute mit 11 Personen hier. Das Essen war Mega gut. Fast alle zeitgleich und Heiß am Tisch. Klare Empfehlung. Die Metaxasose der Hammer.

War ok soweit. Essen ist nicht meins. Man saß etwas gequetscht. Man könnte sagen es gab überall ein paar Schäden die der ambiente geschadet haben, z.B. fünf nachgemacht Ziegel der dahinter tapezieren Steinwand. Alles in allem ok. Aber die Parkplätze das war schwieriger, man muss an der Straße parken. Haben anscheinend keine eigenen.

Für Freitags abends Tisch bestellen, kein Problem. Prompte, schnelle Bedienung sowie Getränke schnell und Essen in sehr akzeptabler Zeit am Tisch. Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Restaurantbesuch und schöner Abend.

Erste Mal hier gewesen, und es war bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal. Personal, Essen und Preis waren so wie es sein soll.

Sind immer wieder gerne da, da das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis paßt und der Service wiederholt exellent war.

Durchaus nette Bedienung. Das Fleisch war okay aber der Beilagensalat und besonders ein "Überraschungssalat" war der Phantasieloseste seit Jahren... fürs gleiche Geld haben wir 3 Tage später in der Innenstadt von Köln deutlich besser jugoslawische gegessen....

Zuvorkommend und Recht Schnell auch wenn man mit vielen Leuten eintrifft.

Das Essen war wirklich schnell da obwohl wir noch eine sehr leckere Vorspeise hatten,die so heiß war das ich mir erst mal die Zunge verbrannt hab 🤣.auch mit den Ouzo waren sie sehr großzügig, soviel konnten wir gar nicht trinken wie sie uns kredenzen wollten 👍.Alles in allem super Essen gute Preise super Service kommen gerne wieder 👍👍
